Born Sept. 12, 1913, in Waterloo, he was a son of the late Harvey and Charlotte (Shearer) Fleming. His wife, Gertrude B. (Sager) Fleming, died Nov. 6, 1996.
Surviving are: children, Richard Fleming, Harrisburg and Mrs. Donald (Marcia) Hirakis, Lewistown; sister and brother, Irma Fleming, Lewistown and Max Fleming, Reedsville; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Dando, and a brother, Ralph Fleming.
He had worked in the spinning department of the American Viscose Corporation for 39 years and later he was a self-employed carpenter.
He was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church, the U.C.T., the Fame Fire Co., and the City, Hook and Ladder Fire Co.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 10 a.m until the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.

Helen E. Matthews Flickinger
Born March 9, 1939, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Jones W. and E. Maybelle (McMullen) Marker. Her husband, Joseph C. Flickinger, died Sept. 23, 1999.
Surviving are: sons, Scott Matthews, Montana, Craig Matthews, Lewistown, and Todd Matthews, Northumberland; brothers and sister, William E. Marker, Jones J. Marker and Nancy J. Gibbons, all of Lewistown; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John L. "Jack" Marker.
She had worked for Danks Department Store and was office manager for Dr. Riden for 20 years.
She was a member of Lewistown Moose Lodge 143, the March of Dimes, and the United States Air Force Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Howard Houtz officiating. Interment will be in Maitland Brethren Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joseph C. Flickinger
Born Dec. 4, 1939, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late George M. and Veney R. (Scott) Flickinger. His wife, Helen (Marker) Flickinger, whom he married March 27, 1999, survives.
Also surviving are: stepsons, R. Scott Matthews of Montana, Craig A. Matthews of Lewistown and Todd E. Matthews of Northumberland; sister, Mrs. Charles (Madeline) Stull of Reedsville; and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Flickinger.
He was an electrical technician for EM Dunlap, State College.
He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran, retiring after 20 years of service in 1977.
He served three tours in Vietnam. He served with the 82nd ABN while in Vietnam and was awarded the 82nd ABN Certificate, Army Good Conduct Medal and the Army Combat Infantry Badge. He was also awarded an Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart with two clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, Bronze Star, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm and many other decorations for his military service.
He was a member of the Air Force Association; Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association; Chapter 64, Carlisle of the Special Forces Association; Juniata Valley Chapter 13 of the Disabled American Veterans; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7011; Chapter 791 of the Vietnam Veterans of America; Mifflin County Veterans Association, of which he served as senior vice commander; American Legion Post 90; and Loyal Order of the Moose 143.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Brad Williams officiating. Local military services will follow at the Lind Memorial Cemetery. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, where there will also be military services.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where there will be a scripture reading at 8:45 p.m.

Harold W. Flood Sr.
Born May 13, 1921, in Loysville, he was a son of the late Edgar and Della (Gutshall) Flood. His wife, Geraldine (Howell) Flood, whom he married March 11, 1941, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, Harold W. Flood Jr., Ronald N. Flood, and Steffen L. Flood, all of McClure; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater.
In 1982, he retired from the Standard Steel after nine years of service as a sawsetter. Prior to that, he had worked for the former American Viscose for 27 years.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure, where he had served on the church council. He was also a member of the Heiser-Hoffman VFW Post 5640, Middleburg and he enjoyed gardening.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure, with the Rev. Phil Thorsen officiating. Interment will be in McClure Union Cemetery, where graveside military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 5640, Middleburg.

Kenneth W. Focht
Born Feb. 18, 1922, in Mifflin, he was the son of the late Harry and Anna (Kinser) Focht.
Surviving are: children, Charlotte A. Martonik, Youngstown, 0hio and Michael D. Focht, Lancaster; and a sister, Mary Shore, Washington state.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He worked for the American Viscose Corporation for 31 years and later for Standard Steel, Burnham. Following his retirement from Standard Steel, he was named the station master for the Lewistown Junction Railroad and was instrumental in fund raising for the station restoration project.
He was a member of the Lake Park United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Raymond T. Brinson officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
There will be no public viewing.
Charles R. Fogleman
Born Sept. 18, 1943, in Port Royal, he was the son of Kathryn (Arnold) Fogleman of Thompsontown and the late Robert Fogleman. His wife, Donna L. (Schlegel) Fogleman, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Judi D. Misere, Mechanicsburg; sisters, Pauline Fogleman, Baton Rouge, La. and Ruth Ann Shemory, Port Royal.
He was a retired herbal resource coordinator for Ashcombs, Mechanicsburg.
He was a member of the Bowmansdale Church of God and the president and member of the Pennsylvania Herb Association.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Cocklin Funeral Home Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg, with the Rev. Wayne Gosnell officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from 9:30 until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Maude R. Fogleman
Born Nov. 25, 1906, in Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Lucian W. and Laura B. (Fry) Rickenbaugh. Her husband, Clarence R. Fogleman, whom she married Feb. 12, 1932, died Dec. 26, 1992.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Shelley, McAlisterville, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by brothers and sisters Raymond Rickenbaugh, Stanley Rickenbaugh, Charles Rickenbaugh, Ruth R. Landis and Lorene Rickenbaugh.
Early in life, she had been employed at L. Shellenberger Garment Factory, McAlisterville; The Cannery, McAlisterville; and as a floor lady for the Liverpool Dress Factory.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, McAlisterville, where she was in the Ladies Bible Class and was a charter member of Rebekah Lodge 384, McAlisterville.
She enjoyed gardening and baking.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, McAlisterville, with the Rev. James Park Bricker officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, where family will be present from 7-9 p.m.

Robert D. Foltz
Born July 2, 1927, in Granville, he was a son of the late Dale E. and Anna C. (Knox) Foltz. His wife, Martha (McMullen) Foltz, whom he married Nov. 14, 1951, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Terry (Mary Ann) Reed, Reading, David E. Foltz, Westland, Mich., and Thomas D. Foltz, Lewistown; brothers and sisters, Gerald K. Foltz, Mrs. Vernon (Dorothea) Shawver, and Mrs. Charles (Geraldine) Miller, all of Lewistown, Ann Louise James, McVeytown, Mrs. Paul (Edwina) Hess, Camp Hill, Mrs. Darle (Florence) Bilger, Orbisonia RR, and Mrs. Charles (Jacqueline) Boyden, Granville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, H. Eugene Foltz, in February of 1998.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was employed in the heat treating department in test preparation at Standard Steel.
He was a member of Granville United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men's Club of the church. He was also a member of the Rocky Hollow Hunting Camp.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Raymond T. Brinson Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

LEWISTOWN - Helen E. Matthews Flickinger, 61, of 425 Summit Drive, Lewistown, died at 2:07 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital.
LEWISTOWN - Joseph C. Flickinger, 59, of 425 Summit Drive, Lewistown, died at 9:55 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at his home.
