Paul H. 'Herb' Frye
DELMONT - Paul H. "Herb" Frye, 77, of Delmont, died Saturday, June 19, 1999 at Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg.

Born Oct. 5, 1921, in Boquet, Penn Township, he was a son of the late Harry B. and Anna L. (Paul) Frye. His wife of 55 years, Martha (Mitchell) Frye, survives.

Also surviving are: daughters, Marsha Frye Hartman, Huntingdon, Mrs. Albert (Mary F.) D'Ambrosia, Boalsburg, and Mrs. David (Mardi M.) Frye-Dunkelbarger, State College; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

He was a 1946 graduate of Juniata College, Huntingdon.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a lieutenant in the Submarine Service of the United States Navy.

He was a second generation Oldsmobile dealer and owner of Frye Motor Co. in Delmont for more than 40 years.

He was a member and elder of Delmont Presbyterian Church.

Services were held at Delmont Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Glen H. Burrows officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to:the Delmont Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to Juniata College.

John L. Bash Funeral Home, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, (724) 468-8381, was in charge of arrangements.

Violet C. Frye
JERSEY SHORE - Violet C. Frye, 79, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Manor Care, Jersey Shore.

Born March 14, 1920, in Alfarata, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Anna Mary (Fye) Henry. Her husband, Arthur E. Frye, died Dec. 22, 1969.

Surviving are: daughters, Donna M. Klinefelter, State College, Doris L. Jodun, Woolrich, Patricia A. Earon, RD Beech Creek, Dorothy C. Guerriero, Lock Haven, Ella M. Snyder, Lewisburg; brothers and sisters, Gerald Henry, McClure, Arch H. Henry, Belltown, Rella Klinger, Burnham, and Ester Sechrist, McVeytown; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, C. Russell Henry; a sister, Beatrice Steele; and a granddaughter, Cindy Lou Klinefelter.

She worked at the Ben High School and Mill Hall Elementary School cafeterias for 11 years, retiring in 1982.

She enjoyed crochet, yard work, word search puzzles and was an excellent cook and baker. She was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

She was a member of Mill Hall United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington, with the Rev. Ellen Evans officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends from noon until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Make A Wish Foundation - Clinton County.

Manis E. Fryer
MCCLURE - Manis E. Fryer, 78, of 9 Gap View Drive, McClure, died at 7:07 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born June 8, 1921, in Brady Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Wagner) Reed.

Surviving are: children, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Speece, Treaster Valley, Milroy, Harry D. Fultz, Milroy, Mrs. David (Kay) Hunter, Milroy, Mrs. William (Sara) Hoover, Milroy, Mrs. John (Susan) Shawver, Jr., McClure, Larry T. Dippery, Lewistown; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

She was a homemaker.

She attended St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Havice Valley, Milroy.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Milroy, with the Rev. L. Ed Moore Jr. and the Rev. Marshall Deckard officiating.

Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Milroy RD1.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Mark's United Methodist Church, c/o L. Ed Moore Jr, 2 Feeder Avenue, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary E. Frymoyer
THOMPSONTOWN - Mary E. Frymoyer, 73, of Thompsontown RR1 died at 3:47 a.m. Monday, July 5, 1999, at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.

Born Nov. 7, 1925, in East Salem, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Pearl "Roper" Haubert. Her husband, Earl R. "Dudley" Frymoyer, whom she married Feb. 2, 1946, preceded her in death Aug. 8, 1989.

Surviving are: a daughter, Faith E. Frymoyer, Thompsontown RR1; a sister, Loise Haubert, Thompsontown RR1; and a brother, Max Haubert, Brookline Manor Convalescent Home, Mifflintown RR1.

She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Clair Jordan, Harry K. Haubert, Pauline Sweigart, Phyllis Nace and Maude Mengel.

She was a 1943 graduate of Thompsontown High School.

She and her husband owned and operated the Lazy Daisy Dairy Farm, Thompsontown RR1. She continued its operation for two years after her husband's death.

She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener, and enjoyed reading and traveling.

She was a member of East Salem United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher for the young adult class.

Recently she had been attending Bunkertown Church of the Brethren.

She was a member of the Holstein Association and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Elwood O. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in East Salem Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Bunkertown Church of the Brethren, Building Fund, RR1 Box 765, McAlisterville, PA 17049.

Barbara Jean Frysinger
HERSHEY - Barbara Jean Frysinger, 60, of Grantville, Pa., died 9:30 p.m., Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born Sept. 8, 1938 in Greensburg, Pa., she was a daughter of Jean C. Dillman, Grand Parkway North, and the late George R. Dillman. She is survived by her husband, Harry M. Frysinger.

Also surviving are: brothers, Richard J. Dillman, Carlisle and James C. Dillman, Lewistown; sister, Martha D. Williams, Lewistown; daughters, Debra A. Eckard, Hershey, Lisa J. Wepasnick, Palmyra and Michele LaVerdiere, Grantville.

Hoover Funeral Home, Linglestown, is in charge of funeral arrangements, which will be announced later.

Ian Paul Fuiek
PETERSBURG - Ian Paul Fuiek, 13, of 400 Washington St., Petersburg, died at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2000, at his residence.

Born Sept. 27, 1986, in Lewistown, he was a son of Paul Fuiek of Petersburg and Sherry Lee (Hesser) Justice of Huntingdon.

He is also survived by maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Jean Hesser, Huntingdon, and paternal grandparents, John and Lela Fuiek, Huntingdon.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Dave Hesser, and paternal grandmother, Olga Fuiek.

He was an eighth grade student at Juniata Valley School.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Word of Life Fellowship Church, Huntingdon, with Pastor Dan Alway officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Word of Life Fellowship Church, RR2, Huntingdon, PA 16652.

Charles M. Fultz Jr.
LEWISTOWN - Charles M. Fultz Jr., 70, 361 Caldwell Hill Road, Lewistown, died at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at Brookline Village, State College.

Born June 20, 1929, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Anna Elizabeth (Musser) and Charles Marshall Fultz Sr. His wife, Betty M. (Fisher) Fultz, whom he married Sept. 18, 1948, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Charles M. Fultz III and Doris J. Fultz, both of Reedsville, Donald R. Fultz and Mrs. Keith (Beth) Hoar, both of Lewistown; brothers and sisters, Elsie Knepp, Belleville, Isabelle Lykens, Tyrone, Ivy Manbeck, Altoona, Josephine Newman, June Fultz and Mrs. Owen (Gertrude) Peters, all of Lewistown, and Mrs. Daniel (Joyce) Hostetler, Milroy; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Connie Louise, in 1952; a brother, Lloyd Fultz; and one sister, Winifred Allison.

He worked as a press and shear operator at New Holland for 40 1/2 years, retiring in Dec. 1985.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Belleville.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Lois Martin officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.

Chester L. Fultz
WILLIAMSPORT - Chester L. Fultz, 73, of 933 High St., Williamsport, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Born March 19, 1926, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Howard M. and Jane D. (McNitt) Fultz. His wife, Mary A. (Weicksel) Fultz, whom he married Aug. 26, 1950, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Kathryn J. Gingerich, York, Kenneth W. Fultz, Columbus, Ohio, and Susan E. Weaver, Williamsport; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was a graduate of Milroy High School.

He was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He was a production engineer for Piper Aircraft, Lock Haven, retiring in 1986 after 26 years of service.

He was a member of Church of the Savior and its Keenagers. He was also a member of Ivy Lodge 397 in Williamsport and the Williamsport Consistory.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Savior, Memorial Avenue and Grier Street, Williamsport, with the Rev. Harlan Frank Showers officiating. Interment will be in North Bend Cemetery, North Bend.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Maneval Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport and from 10:30 until the time of the services Saturday at the church.

Family will provide all flowers.
