Born Feb. 16, 1907, in Honey Grove, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Minnie (Yohn) Palm. Her husband, Robert P. Gloss, died Dec. 25, 1994.
Surviving are: a daughter, Helen L. Robinson, East Waterford; a sister-in-law, Esther Gloss, with whom she resided; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, and two great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of the East Waterford United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove. Interment will be in the East Waterford Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home. Family will not be present on Tuesday.

Jennie B. Gloss
Born Sept. 15, 1904, in McCullochs Mills, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Armstrong) Van Syoc. Her husband, Charles Gloss, preceded her in death.
Surviving are: daughters, Hazel Allen, Ephrata, and Zella Eaton, Thompsontown; a grandson; three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was a retired seamstress for Superior Lingere Co., Lancaster.
She was a member of Bridgeville E.C. Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with the Rev. David Crocker officiating. Interment will be in East Waterford Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

James Herman Glover
Born June 13, 1922, in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late John Austin Glover and Mary M. (Palmer) Glover Kerr. His wife, Barbara E. (Treaster) Glover, to whom he married by the Rev. Charles Rhodes on Aug. 1, 1962, in Three Springs, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, James E. "Jigs" Glover, Satisfied Mind Lane, McVeytown and Frederick V. Treaster, Newton Road, McVeytown; a relative, whom he raised, Darlene E. Zweig, State College; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by a son, Herman W. Glover; brother, John Glover; stepfather, Orpheus Kerr; stepsister, Helen Hobble; stepbrother, Leon Kerr; one granddaughter and one grandson.
He attended the Center School, Atkinson Mills and the Mount Union area schools.
He worked as a farmer and enjoyed raising pigs and cows and raking hay. In the past, he had been employed for North American Refractories, Mount Union and worked in a brickyard in Morrisville. He was also a truck driver for Devor's Trucking, McVeytown; C.A. Shetrom, Huntingdon; was a self-employed owner/operator for a time; and drove for New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., retiring in 1988, after 17 years of service.
Following retirement, he worked part time for the Huntingdon County Vo-Tech, Mill Creek; worked at the Riverside and Weis Market stores in Mount Union; and at Fortney's Exxon Service Station, Route 22, Mount Union.
He was Protestant by faith.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Charles Rhodes officiating. Interment was in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg RR1.

Mary L. Glover
Born Sept. 27, 1927, in Burnham, she was a daughter of the late David and Isabel (Williamson) Powell. Her husband, Edward C. Glover, died in 1991.
Surviving are: two sons, Ronald Aurand, Reedsville RR, and Roger Aurand, Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Mabel Laub, Kish Apartments, Lewistown; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Early in life, she was employed at the American Viscose Corporation and later as a nurse's aide at Lewistown Hospital and at Rockdale County Hospital in Conyers, Ga.
She was a member of Grove Memorial United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Juniata Memorial Park, with the Rev. William J. Danis officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, 451 S. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
Raymond F. Gobeille
Born Nov. 20, 1922, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Raymond B. and Edna L. (Lerch) Gobeille. His wife, Nellie (Vincent) Gobeille, preceded him in death on March 24, 1995.
Surviving are: a son, Russell A. Gobeille, Mifflintown RR4; four daughters, Karen G. Davis, LaPlata, Md., Donna G. King, Clarksburg, Md., Alethea A. Gobeille, Mifflintown, Gail Marie Buchanan-Hall, Hagerstown, Md.; and nine grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
He retired with 40 years of service from National Cash Register, Washington, D.C.
Services will be held at noon Thursday at the Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, with Pastor Louise Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service, Thursday at the funeral home.
Edna M. Goddard
Born Oct. 23, 1924, in McVeytown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Conner) Wakefield. Her husband, Cloyd Goddard, died in 1989.
Surviving are: a daughter, Linda Miller of Lewistown; a son, Douglas L. McMurtrie, 115 S. Walnut St., Lewistown; brother and sister, Dean Wakefield, Milroy and Mrs. David (Ann) Stoicheff, Burnham; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wakefield and a sister, Donna Jean Harmon.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bethel AME Church, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethel AME Church, with the Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

Mary Gombos
She was a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Ballas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gombos.
Surviving are: sons, Edward B. Gombos, Gill Hall, Thomas Gombos, Venice, Fla., John Gombos, West Mifflin, and Robert Gombos, Lewistown; a sister, Anna Chervanak, Whitaker; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by sons, Paul and George Gombos and brothers, Paul and Michael Ballas.
Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 8, at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, Rankin. Interment was in Jefferson Memorial Park, Baldwin.
The James F. Kutch Funeral Home, handled the arrangements.
Alberta G. Gonder
Born Feb. 26, 1916, in Reedsville, she was a daughter of the late William John and Jennie Maude (Ritter) Dalby. Her husband, Donald C. Gonder, whom she married Aug. 13, 1953, survives.
Also surviving are a nephew, Dennis E. Dalby of Reedsville, whom she helped raise.
She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by seven sisters and four brothers.
She was a graduate of Reedsville High School.
Earlier in life, she had worked in the payroll department of Standard Steel and at Montgomery Ward, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with the Rev. Kenneth Longfield officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
Family will receive from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
