Born July 16, 1913, in McVeytown, he was a son of the late Andrew J. and Rosa V. (Forsythe) Hambright. His wife, Jean L. (Bubb) Hambright, died March 23, 1994.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Roger B. (Diane) Thomas Jr., Chadds Ford; and two step-granddaughters.
He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by a sister.
He was a veteran, having served as a corporal in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was also a member of the 939th Field Artillery Battalion.
He was employed as Postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in McVeytown for 40 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church, the NAPUS Postmasters Organization, the National League of Postmasters, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, a life member of the Lewistown Elks Lodge 663 and VFW Post 7011, a member of the American Legion Logan Guard Post 90, and president of the Mattawana Cemetery Company.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m Saturday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Jeanette E. Rapp officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends from 10 a.m until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the McVeytown Presbyterian Church, Queen and John Streets, McVeytown, PA 17051 or to Hospice: The Bridge, 1126 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Florence C. Hambright
Born June 18, 1909, in McVeytown, she was the daughter of the late John and Viola (Freed) Stewart. Her husband, Harry Hambright, died in 1940.
Surviving are: children, Mrs. Charles (Marjorie) Goss, 247 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, Mrs. John (Vivian) Haubrick, 179 W. Fourth St., Lewistown; stepchildren, Charles Hambright, California, Russell Hambright and Jack Hambright, and Mrs. Lester (Alice Mae) Miller, all of McVeytown, and Marian Kline, Lewistown; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Early in life she worked at the American Viscose, and was a member of McVeytown Presbyterian Church.
Private graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown, with the Rev. George Mark officiating.
The family will provide all flowers.

Dr. Boyd H. Hammaker
Born Nov. 14, 1910, in Burnham, he was a son of the late James L. and Clementine (Beale) Hammaker. His first wife, Mickey Hammaker, died Dec. 31, 1981. His second wife, Sara Ellen (Miller) Hammaker, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, Scott Hammaker, Nashville, Tenn., and a stepdaughter, Winifred Myers, Blacksburg, Va.
He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
He was an optometrist in Lewistown for 40 years, retiring Oct. 1, 1975.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lewistown, the Lewistown Elks Lodge 663, and the Lewistown Masonic Lodge 203.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 120 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald Krum officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the General Scholarship Fund of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, 8360 Old York Road, Elkins Park, PA 19027.

James A. 'Jimmy' Hamman
Born Nov. 30, 1960, in Huntingdon, he was a son of Edsel F. Hamman Sr., Hill Valley, Mount Union RR1, and the late Norma J. (Shehan) Hamman.
Surviving are: children, Shannon Hamman, James A. Hamman Jr., and Hayley Marie Moulds, all of Mount Union; brothers and sisters, Mrs. John (Deborah) Avromoupoulos, Leigh Acres, Fla., Susan Lynn, Mount Union, Edsel F. Hamman Jr., Three Springs, Norma Jean Ausec, Manitou Springs, Colo., Jeffrey L. Hamman, Hill Valley, Mount Union RR1, and Mrs. Fred (Kathy) Love, McVeytown; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie K. Moore.
He was a 1979 graduate of Mount Union Area High School.
He was employed for the past year for Howard Robson Construction Co., Lancaster, and formerly employed by Harbison-Walker and North American Refractories, both of Mount Union.
He was a member of Simpson-Hunt American Legion Post No. 107, Mount Union, and the Blue Juniata VFW Post No. 5754, Mount Union.
He attended Singer's Gap United Methodist Church, Hill Valley.
He was an avid outdoorsman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Rich Morris officiating. Interment will be in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg RR1.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Raymond O. 'Tootles' Hampton
Born Aug. 13, 1927, in Blairs Mills, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Oscar C. and Huldah E. (Peck) Hampton. His wife, Catherine P. "Pat" (Eckley) Hampton, whom he married Sept. 1, 1972, survives.
Also surviving are: stepchildren, Mrs. Charles (Cathy) Cox, Yeagertown and Jeffery Eckley, Lewistown; brother, Elmer Hampton, Lewistown, and three grandchildren.
Early in life, he worked for Hawstone Brick Yard and later was a salesman for Electrolux.
He attended Yeagertown United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Rock Cemetery, with the Rev. Thomas Morningstar officiating.
There will be no public viewing.

Willard D. 'Wid' Hann
Born Jan. 9, 1917, in Riddlesburg, he was a son of the late Harry Palmer and Stella Irene (Weyant) Hann. His wife, Jean I. (Civitts) Hann, whom he married April 19, 1941, survives.
Also surviving are: children, D. Keith Hann, Edwardsville, Ill., Mrs. Bruce (Patricia) Howes, Wilmington, Del.; sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Mildred) Whitesel, Grantham, Mrs. Paul R. (Dorothy) Reed, Milroy; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carole Jean Layton, on Dec. 4, 1971.
He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II. He worked as a lead burner at American Viscose, Lewistown, for 35 years and was employed at Jay-Wood for 10 years.
He was a member of the Milroy Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and was a Boy Scout leader in Reedsville for over 20 years.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Milroy Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 46 Elm St., Milroy, with the Rev. Edward P. Fleming Sr. and the Rev. Bruce Howes officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
There is no public viewing.

Samuel D. Hannon Sr.
Born Nov. 17, 1922, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Wilbert Roy and Sara (Free) Hannon, and Mirian (Leytle) Hannon, his step-mother. His wife, Frances (Norris) Hannon, whom he married Oct. 28, 1941, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Daniel (Darlene) Ammerman, 124 Orchard Grove Ave., Lewistown, Samuel D. Hannon Jr., 38 Aqueduct Dr., Lewistown, Terry L. Hannon, 224 Cider Lane, Lewistown, Mrs. Robert (Karen) Lyter, 98 Willow Lane, Lewistown; brothers and sisters, Robert Hannon, Bethlehem, Phyllis Aurand, James Hannon and Daniel Hannon, all of Lewistown, Jo Ann Perry, Hollidaysburg, Eleanor Anderson, Iowa; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Arella, and a son, James Wilbert Hannon, and two sisters, Kathleen Shipe and Joy Austin.
He was a crane operator and supervisor at Standard Steel, retiring in 1983 with 37 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Park View Church of the Brethren, where he served as a Deacon and teacher of the Adult Bible Class. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local 1940.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave, Burnham, with the Rev. Ralph Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Mount Rock Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.

Blanche B. Hare
Born Sept. 22, 1902, in Middleburg, she was a daughter of the late James F. and Annie (Kratzer) Keister. Her husband, Harvey E. Hare, died in 1951.
Surviving are a son, Robert A. Hare, Baltimore, Md., two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
She was employed for 16 years in the kitchen of Lewistown Hospital.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Oak Street, Lewistown.
Services were held at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with James Story officiating. Interment was in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.
