Born May 4, 1937, in Fauquier County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James S. and Elsie (Pearson) Kirby. Her husband, Charles T. "Reject" Haynes Sr., whom she married March 18, 1956, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Jason (Ruth) Brown, Port Royal RR2, Mrs. Robert (Pamela J.) Bruce, Mifflintown RR4, Mrs. James (Terry L.) Rice, Mifflintown HC 67 (Walnut), and Charles T. Haynes Jr., Mifflintown RR3; brothers and sisters, Robert Kirby, Stephen City, Va., Franklin Kirby, Winchester, Va., Annalee Turner, Virginia Beach, Va., and Beulah Mae Morris, Fredericksburg, Va.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Guss Funeral Home, 20 South Third St., Mifflintown. Interment will be at Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Samuel E. Haywood
Born Feb. 26, 1922, Hawk Run, he was a son of the late John Franklin and Mary (Hamilton) Haywood. His wife, Doris (Smith) Haywood, preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son, Scott Haywood, Boston, Mass., and a sister, Mona Jean Bossinger, Noblesville, Ind.
He was a United States Navy veteran.
He was a retired employee of Libby Owens Ford Glass Company, Rossford, Ohio, where he worked for 35 years.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and VFW Post 2984.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 30 at Faith United Methodist Church, Oregon, Ohio.
Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate, Ohio, was in charge of arrangements.
Herbert F. Hazlett
Born Oct. 27, 1910, in Allensville, he was the son of the late Dr. Silas M. and Ella (Dachenbach) Hazlett. His wife, Goldie (Harshbarger) Hazlett, whom he married April 27, 1936, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Cecil (Joan) Knepp and H. Gary Hazlett, both of Belleville, Mrs. Elwood (Mary Ellen) Rough, Wapakonete, Ohio, and Mrs. Ronald (Carol) Wilson, Reedsville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson and a brother, Wilbur H. Hazlett.
He was a Star Route mail carrier for 28 years, retiring in 1965. He then worked for five years for APM as a tender for a plasterer.
He was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Allensville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Allensville, with the Rev. Anna Ritter officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville.

Andrew R. Heath
Born Jan. 16, 1925, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Warner) Heath. His wife, Kathryn (Lear) Heath, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Louis (Terry L.) Brenan of Portage, Ind., Dale Heath of Hobart, Ind., and Scott D. Heath of Valparaiso, Ind.; brothers and sisters, Helen Laub of Lewistown, George Heath, Mabel Fultz, Edith Brower, Mrs. Nelson (Doris) Forsythe, Pat Grose, Harold Heath, Harry Heath, all of Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters.
He was a quality assurance supervisor with U. S. Steel, retiring in 1983. He was a former precinct committeeman.
He was an avid gardener, enjoyed the outdoors, and bird watching.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Ind., with the Rev. Timothy C. Rumley officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Portage, Ind.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Curnes J. "Abe" Hebert Jr.
Born May 14, 1944, in LaFayette, La., he was a son of Curnes J. Hebert Sr., of LaFayette, La., and Doris (Babineoux) Hebert Boudreaux of Cankten, La. His wife, Linda L. (Walters) Barlett Hebert, whom he married Sept. 29, 1998, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Christine) Blystone, Gettysburg; three sons, Brian Hebert, Sterling, Va., Daniel Hebert, Corning N.Y., and Brett Hebert, Lewistown; a sister, Mrs. Linda Menard, Church Point, La.; three brothers, Allen Boudreaux, Cacelia, La., Ricky Boudreaux, Carencro, La., and Patrick Boudreaux, LaFayette, La.; two step-children, Tracy Barlett, Lewistown, and Mark Barlett, Burnham; and ten grandchildren.
He was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam conflict and also in the National Guard.
He performed instrument repair in the maintenance department at Standard Steel, Burnham, since 1968.
He was a member of the United Steelworkers Local 1940, a life member of East Derry Fire Company, and a member of the Brooklyn Hose and Yeagertown fire companies. He was also a member of the Lewistown Moose Lodge 143 and the Burnham Eagles Club.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. Father Thomas Marickovic officiating.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
There will be no public viewing.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Ida E. Heckman
Born April 2, 1923, in Mattawana, she was a daughter of the late Harvey E. and Ella (Grassmyer) Heckman.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Mae Bowen, Lewistown, Mrs. Mabel Prye, McVeytown, and Mrs. Helen Stine, York.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel Heckman, Charles Heckman and Harold Heckman; and two sisters, Elizabeth Heckman and Alma Lantz.
She was an Avon representative until retiring on disability in 1960.
She was a member of Spring Run Church of the Brethren, McVeytown; the McVeytown Senior Citizens Center, where she cooked and served meals; and Malta Home Auxiliary. She was a former member of McVeytown Fire Company Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Spring Run Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Jerry Miller. There will be no public viewing, however, family will recieve friends from 1 p.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.
The family will provide all flowers.

Mary E. Heckman
Born April 14, 1913, in McAlisterville, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Amanda (Brubaker) Heckman.
Surviving are: a brother and sister, John T. Heckman, Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, and Margaret Click, Belleville; and 10 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Heckman, and a sister, Esther Herr.
She attended Liberty School, McAlisterville.
She was a housekeeper and was employed as a seamstress for Lyon Fashions, McAlisterville.
She was a member of Crossroads Mennonite Church, Richfield, and the McAlisterville Senior Citizen's Center.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Crossroads Mennonite Church, Richfield, with Pastor Orval C. Graybill officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Mifflintown RR2.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, where family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m..

John R. Heikes III
Born Jan. 28, 1948, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Esther (Hubler) and John R. Heikes Jr. His wife, Mary Anne (Hollister) Heikes, whom he married Dec. 19, 1997, survives.
Also surviving are: a sister, Suzanne Dowd, Plano, Texas; and a stepson, John Hall, Port Royal.
He was a graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and Williamsport Area Community College.
He was employed in the taxpayer department of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
He was a member of the Juniata County Sportsman's Club, the Decatur Sportsman's Club, and a life member of the National Rifle Association.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting guns.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Douglas Kelley officiating. Interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

TOLEDO, Ohio - Samuel E. Haywood, 77, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Lewistown, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Toledo Hospital after a heart attack.
ALLENSVILLE - Herbert F. Hazlett, 88, of 170 Main St., Allensville, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at his home.
GARY, Ind. - Andrew R. Heath, 75, of Gary, Ind., died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Hobart, Ind.
BURNHAM - Curnes J. "Abe" Hebert Jr., 55, of 13 N. Walnut St., Burnham, died at 10:18 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at his residence.
GRANVILLE - Ida E. Heckman, 76, of Malta Home for the Aging, Granville, and formerly of John Street, McVeytown, died at 4:8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at the home.
MCALISTERVILLE - Mary E. Heckman, 86, of Southview Apartments, McAlisterville, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, Lewistown.
MIFFLINTOWN - John R. Heikes III, 51, of Mifflintown RR3 (Rockville) died of natural causes at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 1999, at his home.
