Born May 24, 1931, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Paul M. and Ruth (Mullen) Hetrick. His wife, Joyce A. (Zimmerman) Hetrick, whom he married July 12, 1952, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. William B. (Diane) Harkleroad, Lancaster; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul I. Hetrick in 1977 and a sister, Margaret Youtzy.
He served with the 176th Armored Artillery Battalion of the National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from Schick Electric in 1979 after 25 years as a plumber. He later worked as a contractor for Hamilton Watch Company for seven years.
He was a member of the Pearl Street United Methodist Church.
He was an avid fisherman and a former member of the Elizabethtown Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post 34, Lancaster.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home of the Fred F. Groff Inc. Funeral Services, 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, with the Rev. Debra Davis and the Rev. Wade Atwell officiating. Interment will be in Mellingers Mennonite Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday at the funeral home.
W. Brady Hetrick
Born Feb. 3, 1907, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Jerome I. and Laura (Caveny) Hetrick. His wife, Helen L. (Lauver) Hetrick, died Dec. 18, 1989.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Marilyn) Skillman, 3708 SR 103 North, Lewistown; sisters, Elizabeth Burris, Brookline Manor, Mifflintown and Martha Jane Frecon, Boyertown; one grandson; one step-grandson; and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome I. Hetrick Jr.; and two sisters, Sarah Wilson, and Louise Parnell.
He was associated with the Cupp Motor Company for 29 years, a co-founder of Hetrick and McCardle Motors, Burnham for seven years, and served for 10 years (five terms) as representative from the 82nd District to the General Assembly, House of Representatives, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, retiring in 1978.
He was past master of Lewistown Masonic Lodge No. 203; district deputy grand master of No. 19 Masonic district for 10 years; and principal of the Masonic School of Instruction for seven years. He was also a member of the Lewistown Chapter Royal Arch Masons No. 186; the Lewistown Commandery of Knights Templar No. 26; a past Grand Tall of Juniata Valley Forrest No. 88, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; a member of the Altoona Court No. 70 Royal Order of Jesters; an honorary life member of the P.J.M. Club of Juniata Valley Forrest No. 88; a member of the Erin Council; the Harrisburg Consistory and the Supreme Council; a member of Jaffa Shrine, Altoona; the Mifflin County Shrine Club; the Juniata-Perry Shrine Club, receiving his 33rd degree in Masonry in 1972; a member of the Lewistown BPOE Lodge No. 663; charter member of the Lewistown Lions Club; life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 143, Brooklyn and Fame Fire Companies; on the board of directors of the Lewistown Motor Club and Mifflin County Industrial Development Corporation; a former member of the Lewistown Kiwanis Club; a member of the Pennsylvania State Retired Employees Association; the United Commercial Travelers Council No. 591; the Pennsylvania State Grange; the Lewistown Country Club; and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church and was an ordained Elder.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Bruce A. Hinderliter and the Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 8:30 p.m.

William M. Hetrick
Born Feb. 10, 1918, in Six Mile Run, Bedford County, he was a son of the late William and Amelia (Smith) Hetrick. His wife, Renna L. (Cresswell) Hetrick, whom he married Sept. 27, 1941, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Vicki L. Leach, Lebanon, Martin M. Hetrick, Downingtown, and William D. Hetrick, Lewistown; brother and sister, Robert L. Hetrick, Woodridge, Va., and Allean Young, Martinsburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army.
He graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor's degree in industrial arts.
He was an industrial arts teacher for Mifflin County School District for 32 years.
He was a life member of BPOE Lodge No. 663, Lewistown, and served as Elks district state vice president, Elks district deputy, and Elks state trustee.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Raymond E. Hill officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where a memorial service will be held at 8:30 p.m. by the Elks Lodge No. 663.
Cloyd Bruce Hicks Sr.
Born on May 25, 1923, in Allenport, Mount Union, he was a son of the late Clarence and Martha Hicks. His first wife, Jean M. (Smith) Hicks, whom he married on Oct. 13, 1945, preceded him in death on May 8, 1989. His second wife, Betty (Hoover Miller) Hicks, whom he married on March 15, 1991, survives.
Also surviving are: three children, Mrs. Joseph (Trudy) Book, Newton Hamilton, Jim E. Hicks, Mount Union RD1 and Cloyd Bruce Hicks Jr., Newton Hamilton; two stepchildren, C. Sam Miller, Alexandria and Carol Jean Kann, New Cumberland; two sisters, Zola Hooper, Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia and Mary Wiser, Shirley Home, Shirleysburg; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
He was a member of the Newton Hamilton United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee.
He graduated in 1942 from Mount Union High School. He retired in 1987 after 30 years of service with the United States Postal Service, serving as postmaster at the Newton Hamilton Post Office.
Prior to that he was employed for more than 20 years at the Harbison-Walker Refractories in Mount Union, having been one of the last employees to use the 1,000 steps to get to and from work.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force. He served from March 26, 1943-May 29, 1945, with the 731st Bombardment Squadron, 452nd Bombardment Group and flew 21 missions over Germany in B-17s. He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant and was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart with Leaf Cluster.
The funeral service is at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Donald Pellman officiating. Interment will be in the Newton Hamilton Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home.

Thomas S. Hicks
Born Dec. 25, 1946, in Allenport, Shirley Township, he was the son of the late Sherman L. and Naomi (Skipper) Hicks. His wife, Margaret "Peggy" (Harpster) Hicks, whom he married June 5, 1965, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. John (Trina) Benson, Mapleton, Mrs. Brian (Debbie) Long, Chambersburg, Donna Hicks, Orangeburg, S.C., and Thomas Hicks, Yeagertown; a brother, Dennis M. "Gabby" Hicks, Mapleton; and seven grandchildren.
He was a 1965 graduate of Captain Jack High School.
He was maintenance supervisor for Rust Construction, Orangeburg S.C. for the past four years and also assisted his wife at the Slumberland Motel in Orangeburg. Earlier he had been employed as a shipping clerk for Harbison-Walker Refractories in Mount Union for 15 years.
He was Protestant by faith.
He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Hillcrest Country Club in Orangeburg. He was also active with area youth as a wrestling booster, peewee football coach, and youth baseball coach.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Ed Seeley officiating. Interment will be in Mount Union Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
Lester G. Hile
Born May 19, 1927, in Kratzerville, he was the son of the late Phenie and Beulah (Kratzer) Hile. His wife, Esther Inch Hile, whom he married July 8, 1950, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Brian M. Hile, Mt. Pleasant Mills RR2, Brenda J. Weader, Mt. Pleasant Mills, Lucinda Abbott, Burleson, Texas; brothers, James Hile, Marlin "Moody" Hile, both of Mt. Pleasant Mills RR1; sister, Dorothy Swartz, Mifflintown; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was educated at the Locust Grove Grammar Schoolhouse, Snyder County. He retired in 1990 from Poleran Homes, Middleburg, where he was employed as a laborer for 21 years. He previously worked at Middleburg Tannery and Hayes Stahl Lumbering Company, Mt. Pleasant Mills RR2.
He was a member of St. Paul's Family Worship Church, Liverpool RR2, where he served on the Cemetery board for more than 25 years and served on the board of trustees. He was a member of the Oriental Sportsman's Club of Juniata County.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was an umpire for the Tri-County League of baseball and softball teams. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Lear E. Shambach officiating.
Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Liverpool RR2, with full military honors conducted by the Liverpool American Legion Post No. 364.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Malinda I. Hilbish
Born Dec. 1, 1910, in McClure, she was a daughter of the late Erie and Mabel (Gill) Wagner. Her husband, Samuel Hilbish, whom she married March 27, 1959, died April 14, 1971.
Surviving are: daughters, Cossetta L. Valentine, Mifflinburg, DeAnna G. Patterson, at home, and Kathryn E. Knepp, McClure; brother and sister, Luther Wagner and Kathryn Hackenberg, both of McClure; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and four step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Pauline, and a brother, Chester Wagner.
She retired from the Selinsgrove State School, where she worked 21 years as an aid. She had also worked at the former American Viscose.
She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure.
She enjoyed liquid and thread embroidery.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, McClure, with the Rev. Phil Thorsen officiating. Interment will be in the McClure Union Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at the McClure chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes Inc., North Brown Street, McClure, where family will be present to receive friends from 7-9 p.m.

Earl F. Hildebrand
Born Feb. 25, 1925, in Steelton, he was the son of the late Marie C. (Baughman) and Christopher J. Hildebrand Sr. His wife, Marie M. (Smith) Hildebrand, whom he married Oct. 22, 1950, died March 14, 1990.
Surviving are: children, Barry L. Hildebrand, Brenda L. Hildebrand and Brian L. Hildebrand, all of McAlisterville, and Cheryl L. Hildebrand, Houston, Texas; brother and sisters, Christopher J. Hildebrand, Jr., Eva Donato, Oberlin, and May Raudensky, Duncannon; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was a 1943 graduate of Swatara Township High School.
He served in the United States Army Air Corp. from Nov. 1945 until July 1946, and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
He was employed by Lyon Fashions, McAlisterville as a truck driver and laborer in the warehouse; by Fred Faust Construction, Thompsontown, where he worked framing houses; and by Excel Homes Inc. until his retirement in 1990.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, McAlisterville.
He enjoyed building model airplanes, flying, leatherworking, and carpentry.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 9, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, McAlisterville, with the Rev. James Park Bricker officiating.

LEWISTOWN - W. Brady Hetrick, 92, of 804 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at the Lewistown Hospital.
LEWISTOWN - William M. Hetrick, 81, of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, formerly of 720 S. Wayne St., Lewistown, died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 1999, at the nursing home.
NEWTON HAMILTON - Cloyd Bruce Hicks Sr., 76, of 130 Parson's Road, Newton Hamilton, died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Hershey Medical Center following a serious illness.
