Born Jan. 26, 1933, in Burnham, he was the son of the late Aaron Milo Hudson and Bonalee (Bradley) Kurtz. His wife, Cecile Hudson, survives.
Also surviving are: children: Audrey, Paula and Robert Jr.; brothers and sisters, Carmen Mary Amey, McClure, Paul W. Kurtz, St. Petersburg, Fla., Bruce Kurtz, Norwalk, Ohio, and Clifford Hackenberry, Clearwater, Fla.
He was preceded in death by brothers James Kurtz and Blain Hackenberry.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and was self-employed.
He was a member of Strodes Mills Baptist Church.
A memorial service and interment were held at St. Jerome Cemetery, Quebec, Canada.
Arlene M. Hummel
Born May 28, 1916, in Tarentum, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ida B. (Sutton) Mosley. Her husband, Stanley G. Hummel, died in 1983.
Surviving are: a son, S. Gerald Hummel, 109 Woodside Lane, Lewistown; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Mosley.
She was a member of the Lewistown Presbyterian Church.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Tarentum, Pa.

Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
Amos H. Hurst
Born May 8, 1938, in New Holland, he was the son of the late Amos S. and Annie (High) Hurst. His wife, Ida E. (Buffenmeyer) Hurst, whom he married Sept. 3, 1962, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Reuben (Mary Ann) Newswanger, Mifflin, Daniel B. Hurst, East Earl, Amos B. Hurst Jr., Alan B. Hurst, and David B. Hurst, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Lena) Martin, Fairview, Ky. and Mrs. Ben (Naomi) Leinbach, Mohnton; and four grandchildren.
He was a self-employed butcher and taxi driver for the Amish.
He attended the Bowmansville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).
Family will provide all flowers.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m Thursday at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church. Interment will follow in the adjoining church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill.
Esther Louise Huss
Born July 6, 1915, in Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Hayes L. and Carrie (Baker) Huss.
Surviving are: a sister, Hazel Burchfield, Martinsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Edward Huss, Paul Huss, Winey Huss and Ethel Shover.
She was a retired seamstress, having worked for Juniata Garment Company, Mifflin.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Frank J. Swartz officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
There will be no evening viewing.
Merrill E. Hutchinson
Born in Yeagertown, he was the son of the late Harry Bryson and Ardella A. (Hoover) Hutchinson. His wife of 60 years, Gladys Marie (Bingaman) Hutchinson, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, William K. Hutchinson, Eagles Mere; a daughter, Judith F. Heintzelman, Hagerstown, Md.; and a sister, Marietta Fleming, Yeagertown.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army in the 11th Airborne Division during World War II.
He served as a teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools in many areas including the Lehighton Area, Sunbury Area, Schikellamy and Mifflin County School District.
He was a member of the Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Yeagertown, the Lewistown YMCA, the Mifflin County Council of Civil Defense, the Mifflin County United Fund, the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, and the Mifflin County Tuberculosis and Health Society.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at the Nativity Lutheran Church, 4004 Tilghman, Allentown. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public viewing.

Rodney T. Hutt
Born Nov. 24, 1935, in Milroy, he was a son of Charles H. Hutt of Bethlehem and the late Helen L. (Treaster) Hutt, who died Dec. 30, 1990.
Surviving are: children, Diana M. Hutt, Bethlehem and Kurt B. Hutt, Greentown; a brother, C. Keith Hutt, Hecktown; and two grandchildren.
He was a 1953 graduate of Liberty High School, Bethlehem.
He served in the United States Army from 1959-1965.
He was a painter with Lehigh Valley Painters Union Local 1269, retiring in 1998.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, with the Rev. Kenneth Longfield officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem and from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Springs Volunteer Fire Co., Beaver Springs, PA 17812.
Dorothy Printz Huyett
Born July 15, 1909, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Carrie Printz. Her husband, Lester Edward Huyett, whom she married in Pennsylvania in 1931, died Aug. 24, 1994.
Surviving are: children, Rodney L. Huyett, Mohnton, and JoAnne L. Maurer, State College; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She attended Reading public schools.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ, Reading.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Calvary United Church of Christ, Centre Avenue and Oley Street, Reading.
Entombment will be in Columbarium of Calvary United Church of Christ, Reading.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Calvary United Church of Christ, Centre Avenue and Oley Street, Reading PA 19607.
James L. Schwartz Home for Funerals and Cremation Center, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, is in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Louie B. Ilioff
Born July 12, 1916, in Steelton, he was a son of the late Boge and Mary Ilioff. His wife, Kathleen (Smith) Ilioff, whom he married Aug. 25, 1944, survives.
Also surviving are: a nephew, Loree Miller, Selinsgrove, whom he raised; sister and brothers, Sweta Wilson, Alexander Ilioff, and Jordan Ilioff, all of Maryland.
He graduated from Shippensburg University, with a master's degree in education and in 1957 from Penn State University with a doctorate in education.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-1946 with Pan American Air Ferries.
He had been a teacher, administrator, and coach in the Mifflin County School District and was also an administrator in the Dade County School System, Miami, Fla. for 21 years, retiring in 1971.
He was a member of Lewistown Presbyterian Church, where he was an ordained elder. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Miami, Fla.; Elks Lodge 663, Lewistown; Retired Educators Association, Florida; and the Parents and Friends Association of the Selinsgrove Center.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

LEWISTOWN - Arlene M. Hummel, 83, of 307 Kish St., Lewistown, died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.
MOHNTON - Amos H. Hurst, 61, of 1707 Bowmansville Road, Mohnton, formerly of East Earl, died unexpectedly Sunday evening June 20, 1999, at the Reading Hospital.
MIFFLIN - Esther Louise Huss, 84, of 211 Juniata St., Mifflin, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare-William Penn Nursing Home, Lewistown.
ALLENTOWN - Merrill E. Hutchinson, 87, of 4549 Hedgerow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Allentown, died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
BETHLEHEM - Rodney T. Hutt, 64, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.
MIFFLINTOWN - Dorothy Printz Huyett, 90, of Mifflintown RR1, formerly of Reading, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Brookline Retirement Village, where she had been a resident since June 1994.
