Born Feb. 2, 1910, in Saville Township, Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Moody and Anna (Fulton) Sankey. Her husband, Meril Kirk Sr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are: 11 children, Kenneth Kirk, Meril B. Kirk Jr., Lucinda Kirk, and Martha Stoutzenberger, all of East Waterford, Anna Peterson, Mexico, Pauline Reisinger, Loysville, Nellie Shanfelter, West Virginia, Flora Kreider, McCoysville, Beverly Reynolds, McAlisterville, Diane Stoner and Donna Zeiders, both of Mifflintown; 58 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren and 35 great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was affiliated with the Jehovah's Witnesses, Mifflintown.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.

Paul J. Kirk
Born June 16, 1921, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Earl M. and Clydia (Goss) Kirk. His wife, Catherine (Fagan) Kirk, died in January of 1997.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army Air Corp in the Pacific Theatre.
He was a police officer in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County for 32 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lewistown, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the Yeagertown Fire Company.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dorcus and Third Street, with the Rev. Father Thomas Marickovic officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcus St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham, is in charge of arrangements.
Doris J. Kitting
Born July 18, 1918, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Hilda M. (Swineford) Fisher. Her husband, Clyde W. Kitting, died June 3, 1976.
Surviving are: children, Betsy S. Carolus, 26 W. Market St., Lewistown, Deborah J. Runk, 318 Valley St., Lewistown, and Steven A. Kitting, 38 Hillside Drive, Lewistown; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lewistown and the Helping Hands Sunday School Class.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Lind Memorial Cemetery, with Karen McCracken officiating.

Lillian Ruth Kitting
Born July 1, 1910, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late John Andrew and Mary Ethella (Price) Kitting.
Surviving are her niece and adopted daughter, Dorathymarie K. Donlin, Sharon.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Kitting, and a sister, Dorothy Rose Kitting Donlin.
She was a 1928 graduate of Sharon High School and a 1946 graduate of Penn State University. She attended Youngstown State University and received her Master's degree from Westminster College.
She taught cosmetology and English at Farrell High School from 1948-1975.
She was a licensed beautician and the owner/operator of Kitting Hairdressers. She had been a sales representative and regional demonstrator for the Rouiz and Clairol Haircare and Cosmetics Company.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Sharon.
She was also a member of the Farrell Teachers Association, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, the National Education Association, the Pennsylvania State Retired Teachers Association, the American Business Women's Association, and a founding member of the Pennsylvania State Association of Cosmetologists.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Sample-O'Donnell Funeral Home, East State Street and North Oakland Avenue, Sharon, with the Rev. Father Douglas K. Dayton, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.
Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may also be conveyed by e-mailing the funeral home at Sample@infonline.net.

Norris W. Kline
Born June 11, 1904, in Burnham, he was a son of the late James E. and Mertie (McCartney) Kline. His wife, Claudia K. (Gates) Kline, preceded him in death Oct. 29, 1992.
Surviving are: a son, James N. Kline of 17 Sunset Rd., Lewistown; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Jeanette) Leach of Murrels Inlet, S.C. and Ruth Pursel of 198 S. Main St., Lewistown; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Snook, three brothers and three sisters.
A foreman in the spinning department of FMC Corp., he worked for 43 years before retiring in 1963.
He was a member of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry K. Lutz officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Walnut Street United Methodist Church, 203 N. Walnut St., Burnham, Pa. 17009.
Ruth C. Kline
Born Sept. 25, 1925, in Bratton Township, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Nina (Foster) Setzler. Her husband, Floyd C. Kline, whom she married Feb. 16, 1950, died July 13, 1981.
Surviving are: children, Nina G. Kline, Harrisburg, and Kenneth L. Kline, Lewistown; brothers and sisters, Ida Heimbach, Alice Shawver, Mae Black, William Setzler and Lloyd Setzler, all of Lewistown, George "John" Setzler, McVeytown, Floyd Setzler, Hagerstown, Md., and Merrill Setzler, Hummelstown; granddaughters, Christy Baumgardner, Angel Kline, Candy Kline, and Robin Kline; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a one sister, Florence Grassmyer, and four brothers, Clarence Setzler, Clair Setzler, Paul Setzler, and Glenn Setzler.
Earlier in life, she worked at the former McCrory's.
She was a member of Mt. Bethel UCC Church, McClure, and she enjoyed sewing.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the McClure chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes Inc., North Brown Street, McClure, with the Rev. Donald Wise officiating. Interment will be in the McClure Union Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.

Lillian A. Klingensmith
Born March 4, 1915, on Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Emma (DeBay) Welsh. Her husband, Floyd R. Klingensmith, preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1984.
Surviving are: sons, Ronald F. Klingensmith, Coral Springs, Fla., James D. Klingensmith, Portsmith, Va., Robert V. Klingensmith, Chatsworth, Calif., and Dr. Richard D. Klingensmith, 33 Fawn Road, Reedsville; sisters, Lucille Welsh of Natrona Heights, and Joan Gordon of Pittsburgh; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
She was owner, operator and manager of a drive-in theater in Freeport.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Marickovic officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.

Carrie E. Klinger
Born March 18, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Annie (Rager) Arnold. Her husband, John H. Klingler Sr., whom she married Sept. 3, 1931, died Aug. 27, 1995.
Surviving are: children, Betty Rager, Faye Snook, Robert N. Klingler, Donald G. Klingler, and John H. Klingler Jr., all of McClure RR2, Kenneth H. Klingler and Joanne Hall, both of McClure, and Dallas E. Klingler, Beaver Springs; sister, Emma Wagner, Locust Grove Retirement Village; 23 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; and several step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by infant daughters, Donna, Nancy, and Jane; four brothers, Charles, Arthur, Samuel, and Henry Arnold; and seven sisters, Annie Bickel, Effie Erb, Margaret David, Delilah Knepp, Bertha Ciesluk, Hettie Hassinger, and Rhetta Knepp.
She and her husband farmed in West Beaver Township since 1931.
She was a member of St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, McClure RR2, where she was active for many years. She was also a member of the Bannerville and McClure Fire Companies, and the Beaver Springs Ambulance Club.
She was an avid gardener and card player.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Clyde B. Singh officiating. Interment will be in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at the Aurand Funeral Home, North Brown St., McClure, where family will be present from 7-9 p.m.
