Born Nov. 25, 1933, he was a son of the late Ward D. and Margaret (Dalza) Narehood. His wife, Donna (Barlett) Lynch Narehood of 130 Loop Road, Lewistown, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Patrick (Lisa) Packer, Lewistown, and Mrs. James (Tammy) Peters, Valparaiso, Fla.; stepchildren, Douglas N. Lynch, Lewistown, Roger L. Lynch, McVeytown, and Heather Suloff, at home; brother and sisters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Carson, Reedsville, Mrs. Gary (Linda) Snook, Lewistown, and Robert D. Narehood, Lewistown; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Narehood, and two sisters, Margaret Wilson and Evelyn Michelchik.
A plumber at Miller's Plumbing and Heating for 19 years, he retired in 1998.
He was a Methodist by faith.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Irvin Floyd Naylor
Born Feb. 10, 1928, in Juniata County, he was the son of the late Elmer George and Sadie (Varner) Naylor.
Surviving are: brothers and sisters, Robert L. Naylor, McAlisterville, Ray E. Naylor, Beaver Springs, Mary Shuey, Lewistown, Mrs. Elwood (Grace) Slagle, Thompsontown, Mrs. Joe (Charlotte M.) Felmey, Washington, Ill., Minnie R. Snyder, Middleburg RR4, Beulah A. Powell, Selinsgrove, and Mrs. Charles William "Bill" (Mae R.) Reigle, Middleburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Merrill Naylor, Joe Naylor, Chester Naylor, Martha Brugger, Esther Shelly and Margaret Naylor.
He was a 1949 graduate of Middleburg Joint High School.
He retired in 1985 from the Department of Education, Harrisburg, where he was employed as a printing press operator for 34 years.
He was Protestant by faith.
He enjoyed shopping and cooking.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Raymond D. Neitz officiating. Interment will be in the Paxtonville Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Violet S. 'Toy' Nearhoof
Born Feb. 6, 1913, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Harry G. and Jenny (Snyder) Searer. Her husband, George Nearhoof, died in 1974.
Surviving are: children, Gary Nearhoof, Georgia, Gene Nearhoof, Yeagertown and Teddy Nearhoof, Burnham; a brother, James "Dick" Searer, Lewistown; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
She had been employed by the Arrow Shirt Factory for 40 years.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Dale Hippensteel officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Kathryn A. Neff
Born March 21, 1921, in Watertown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edna Mae (Rhoan) Coon. Her husband, Earl C. Neff, died May 9, 1997.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth E. Neff, Port Royal RR2 and two grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Altoona High School.
She was a retired assistant cashier of the Juniata Valley Bank, Port Royal. She also served as an elected auditor for Juniata County and was a former tax collector for Turbett Township, Juniata County.
She was a member of the Port Royal Lutheran Church, the Turbett Grange 781, the Juniata County Republican Committee, the Juniata County Republican Women, and the Port Royal Literary Guild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Marton J. Roberson officiating. Interment will be in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Margaret R. Neidig
Born July 16, 1927, in Tyrone, she was a daughter of the late John D. and Martha (Thomas) Stewart. Her husband, Thomas O. Neidig Sr., died June 17, 1994.
Surviving are: two sons, Thomas O. Neidig Jr., Port Royal, and John M. Neidig, Thompsontown; a daughter, Darlene Swartz, Duncansville; and three grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and at one time, she had worked at the Alcas Cuttery in New York.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Donald Roher officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donald W. 'Jack' Neiman
Born Jan. 19, 1915, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Clarence W. and Edna (Rarick) Weyandt. His wife, Fran J. (Secrest) Neiman, whom he married on Sept. 25, 1963, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Richard D. Zong, Woodbridge, Va., Donna Koopman, Phoenix, Ariz., Robin D. Bryner, Mifflintown RR3, and Rhonda D. Acri, Dillsburg; sisters and brother, Lorraine Casner, Mifflintown RR4, Dorothy Crimmel, Lewistown, and Bill Weyandt, Olympia, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He retired in 1982 as the General Labor Foreman from Three Mile Island, Middletown, and he served as the Police Chief of Mifflintown from 1955 until 1966.
He was a member of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863, Mifflintown and the Fraternal Order of the Police, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Douglas Compton officiating. Interment will be in the Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown RR4, where full military honors will be conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
Friends may call from 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

James Neimond Sr.
Born March 9, 1924, in Monroe Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late Cloyd and Elsie (Swartz) Neimond. His wife, Althea Rosetta (Moad) Neimond, whom he married Feb. 15, 1943, died Jan. 4, 1993.
Surviving are: children, the Rev. James A. Neimond Jr., Richfield, Anthony "Tony" K. Neimond and Michael D. Neimond, both of McAlisterville RR1, and Mrs. Alvin E. (Susan K.) Smith, Middleburg RR2; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, William C. Neimond and brothers, Lawrence Neimond and Bernard Neimond.
He was educated at the Stony Run grammar schoolhouse in Richfield RR1.
He worked his entire lifetime in excavating and eventually was self-employed in the Neimond & Son Excavating business. He also served two terms as Monroe Township supervisor.
He was a member of the Stony Run Mission Church, Richfield RR1, where he served as church treasurer since 1993.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Stony Run Mission Church, Richfield RR1, with the Rev. Truman A. Gaugler officiating and the Rev. Raymond D. Neitz assisting. Interment will be in Niemond's Independent Church Cemetery, Richfield RR1.

The George P. Garman Funeral Home Inc., Mount Pleasant Mills, is in charge of arrangements.
Isaac R. 'Ike' Nelson
Born Sept. 16, 1920, in Virginia, he was a son of the late William Walter and Martha (Tittle) Nelson. His wife, Rosemary (Loizos) Nelson, whom he married Aug. 1, 1975, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. George (Debra) Hutson and Mrs. Michael (Lou Anne) Stachowski, both of Baltimore, Md., Billy Nelson, and Kenny Nelson; a sister, Mamie Yates, St. Petersburg, Fla.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Gephardt; and three brothers.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He was employed by Bethlehem Steel in the tin mill, retiring in 1982 with 25 years of service.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by VFW Post 7011.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

MIDDLEBURG - Irvin Floyd Naylor, 70, of Middleburg RR4 died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at his residence.
LEWISTOWN - Violet S. "Toy" Nearhoof, 87, of 605 Maple Ave., Lewistown, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2000, at her residence.
TUSCARORA - Kathryn A. Neff, 78, of Tuscarora RR3, Port Royal, died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Healthsouth Nittany Valley Hospital, Pleasant Gap.
TYRONE - Margaret R. Neidig, 72, a resident of McClellan's Personal Care, Tyrone RR1, formerly of Mifflin, died at 8:08 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2000, at Altoona Hospital.
MIFFLINTOWN - Donald W. "Jack" Neiman, 84, of Mifflintown RR1, (Cuba Mills), died at 2:32 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at his home.
MCALISTERVILLE - James Neimond Sr., 75, of McAlisterville RR1, died at 7:33 p.m. Friday April 9, 1999, at the Evangelical Community Hospital on Lewisburg.
MCVEYTOWN - Isaac R. "Ike" Nelson, 78, of 15 Oak St., McVeytown, died at 4:22 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.
