Born Feb. 26, 1900, in Reedsville, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Esther (Boyer) Kerstetter. Her husband, Ralston Worley Pennypacker, whom she married in 1920, died in 1962.
Surviving are two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, W. Ross Pennypacker in 1981 and a brother, James Kerstetter.
She was a graduate of Reedsville High School.
She and her husband owned and operated Penny's Restaurant and Store, Reedsville and she was later employed by the American Viscose Corporation, Lewistown.
She was a member of the Reedsville United Methodist Church, and was active in both the Milroy and Lewisburg Senior Citizens.
She enjoyed writing poetry, reading, crocheting and embroidery, attending yard sales and traveling.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., East Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, with the Rev. Richard J. Bender officiating. Interment and local services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Paul J. 'Chip' Perruchon Jr.
Born April 15, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, he was a son of the late Patricia (Horne) and Paul J. Perruchon Sr.
He is survived by a son, Dave Perruchon, Lewistown, and a sister, Mrs. John (Sue) Dickman-Fitzgerald, Toledo, Ohio.
He was a United States Coast Guard veteran.
He was a vinyl flooring installer for 10 years and previously worked for the state of Pennsylvania in the maintenance department.
There will be no visitation or services. Private interment will be held on Kelly's Island, Ohio.
The Boyer-VanWormer-Scott Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Road, North of Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
Melba E. Persing
Born Aug. 16, 1919, in Derry Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Florence (Gray) Shade. Her husband, Harry V. Persing, died in 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy K. Persing, Garden City, S.C.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Early in life, she was owner operator of M & H Appliances, Lewistown. She was last employed as a food service supervisor at Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, for 10 years.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Lewistown.
Friends may call from noon until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Robert R. Peters
Born July 22, 1924, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Robert C. and Ruth (Renard) Peters. His wife, Phyllis A. (Reich) Peters, died June 20, 1998.
Surviving are: children, Mrs. James (Linda F.) Dulan, Lorton, Va., and Steven C. Peters, Reedsville; a brother, Marvin Peters, Reedsville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a clerical engineer at Standard Steel, Burnham, retiring Sept. 1, 1984, after 28 years of service. He previously worked at the American Viscose, Lewistown.
He was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church, Reedsville, and the Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 203, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Church Hill United Methodist Church, Reedsville, with the Rev. Richard J. Bender officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call from 10 a.m until the time of the services today at the church.

Ronald E. "Pete" Peters
Born Oct. 5, 1931, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Homer W. and M. Florence (McKee) Peters. His wife, Pauline M. (Reck) Peters, whom he married March 24, 1956, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Colen R. Peters, South Portland, Maine, Tracey A. Peters, 111 N. Brown St., Lewistown, and Mrs. Michael (Amy M.) McCahren, Port Royal; brothers, Hugh H. Peters, Berkley Springs, W. Va. and Marlyn W. Peters, Millerstown; and four grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.
He was a lathe operator in Machine Shop II at the Standard Steel, Burnham for 27 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lewistown.
He was an avid antique automobile enthusiast and restored Model A Fords.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Jonathan C. God officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. until the time of the services Monday at the funeral home.

Roy S. Peters
Born March 18, 1908, in Spring Township, Snyder County, he was the son of the late William D. and Mary Jane (Riegel) Peters. His wife, Alice Pauline (Try) Peters, whom he married Aug. 29, 1930, died Jan. 27, 1954.
Surviving are: a son, Elwood C. Peters of Beaver Springs RR1; sisters and brothers, Pauline Kern, Penn Lutheran Village in Selinsgrove, Alma Pontius, Mifflinburg, Fay Walters, Selinsgrove, John Peters, Williamsport, and Paul Peters, Middleburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Peters on Oct. 4, 1979; four brothers, Guy Peters, Glen Peters, Erman Peters and Jay Peters; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Schreck-Britton on Nov. 22, 1998.
He was a cabinet maker, retiring from the former Marlin Industries, New Berlin, in 1973 after six years service. Prior to that he had worked for Wood Designs Inc. for three years. He also worked many years for the former Troxell's Planing Mill.
He was a member of the Beavertown God's Missionary Church.
He enjoyed attending the Beaver Springs Senior Citizens Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Beavertown God's Missionary Church, with the Rev. James Plank officiating. Interment will be in the Adamsburg Cemetery, Beaver Springs.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Beavertown chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, where family will be present from 7-9 p.m.

Ruth E. Peters
Born Feb. 4, 1916, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late Jesse H. and Maude M. (Zechman) Everly. Her husband, Raymond I. Peters, died Oct. 27, 1980.
Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Merle (Patsy) Henry, 1280 Alfarata Road, Lewistown and Mrs. Norman (Peggy) Shawver, 241 Mailpouch Road, McClure; foster daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Sara) Rossman, 7841 Brower Road, McClure; a sister, Helen P. Bingman, 527 E. Walnut St., Lewistown; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara J. Kearns; a brother, Richard Everly; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was a matron for the Mifflin County School District for 23 years, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of the St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Alfarata, where she was a member of the Shining Star Sunday School Class, served on the church council, taught Sunday school for 33 years, and was a member of the Adult Choir for a number of years. She was also a member of the Decatur Fire Company ladies auxiliary.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Clyde B. Singh officiating. Interment will be in Samuel's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the services Tuesday at the church.

Lee E. Peterson
Born Aug. 28, 1935, in Spruce Hill Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Ernest S. and Rosanna (Dalton) Peterson. His wife, Charlotte (Varner) Peterson, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Merrill L. Peterson, Port Royal RR2, Jerry R. Peterson, Mifflin, Frank E. Peterson, Mifflintown RR3, Timothy C. Peterson, at home, and Joyce L. Hockenberry, Mifflintown RR1; brother and sisters, Raymond M. Peterson, CarIisle, Martha Shoop, Concord, and Mary Forry and Dorothy Berry, both of Port Royal RR1; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandson.
He was a retired mechanic for Schneider National Trucking, Carlisle.
He was a member of Port Royal United Methodist Church; the Union Lodge 324 F&AM, Mifflintown; and the Friendship Fire Co. and Ambulance, Port Royal.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with the Rev. Brand Eaton officiating. Interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from noon until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present from 7-9 p.m.

MARYSVILLE - Melba E. Persing, 80, of 200 Leonard St., Apt. 115, Marysville, died at 10:55 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
REEDSVILLE - Robert R. Peters, 75, of 130 Hillside Drive, Reedsville, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
