Born March 1, 1924, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Frederick A. and Claire (Shellenberg) Rupp. His wife, Madelyn Rupp, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Joe (Carla) Gutches, Mrs. Joel (Kevan) Lunney, and Ret. Maj. Robert C. Rupp; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served as a combat engineer. He was also an Army aviator during the Korean Conflict.
After retirement from the Army, he worked six years as an aerospace defense industry engineer and then became an instructor pilot in light aircraft and helicopters.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S. State St., Westerville, Ohio, with the Rev. Paul Border officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westerville VFW 7883, c/o Greg Wood, 3434 Dahlgreen, Westerville, OH 43081.
Keith B. Russler
Born Dec. 19, 1956, in Lewistown, he was the son of Lillian (Baker) Russler of 75 Winding Way, Lewistown and the late Lee W. Russler Sr. His wife, Natalie Anne (Bonson) Russler, whom he married in 1989, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Adam K. Russler, Ryan Russler, and Trent Russler, all at home; brothers, Lee William Russler Jr. and Carl D. Russler, both of Lewistown, Neil Russler, Yeagertown, and Robin Russler, Reedsville.
He was president of Expert Cycle Inc. in Centre County.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lewistown and a member of the Seven Mountains Snowmobile Club.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 12 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald Krum and the Rev. Philip Tundel officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the church.

Richard E. Sanders
Born May 29, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Elmer Sanders and the late Alice Clark Smith Sanders Ritter. His wife, Mary Jane (Garbrick) Weigle Sanders, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, Rodger E. Sander and Michael A. Sanders, both of York; stepfather, John J. Ritter, McClure; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Steven E. Weigle.
He was a 1947 graduate of McClure High School and attended Penn State University.
He was employed by Frank Duff Auto Electric, was a dispatcher for Food Transport in York, and an insurance adjuster for Penn National Insurance Company in Harrisburg and an insurance salesman for Baltimore Life Insurance Company.
He was a charter member of Hayshire United Church of Christ, a life member of the Hawks Club, a member of the American Legion Post 942 in McClure, and a life member of the Middleburg VFW. He was also a past member of Lions International.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hayshire United Church of Christ, 100 Haybrook Drive, York, with the Rev. Phyllis Baum officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Springettsbury Township.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Diehl Funeral Home and Cremation Center Inc., 87 S. Main St., Mt. Wolf, and from 9 until the time of the service Saturday at the church.

Mary E. Sanderson
Born Jan. 10, 1905, in Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Susan Ella (Burris-Smith) Page. Her husband, Milton Jacob Sanderson, died in 1961.
She is survived by a niece, Cecilla McGirk of Altoona, and a number of other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Reuben, Milton, Richard and Charles Page, Minerva Wilson and Edith Willi.
She and her husband owned and operated a restaurant in Newport and later a restaurant and a store in Mexico.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Mexico.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Barbara Inch officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Walker Township, Juniata County.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be no evening viewing.

Esther Sarah Saner
Born July 28, 1917, in Mifflintown, she was a daughter of the late William and Melissa (Hackenberger) Book. Her husband of 58 years, Roy L. Saner, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Dale R. Saner, Saudi Arabia, Floyd E. Saner, Goshen, Ind., Gary L. Saner, Hatfield, and Mrs. David (Shirley K.) Garber, Lancaster; brother and sisters, Roy Book and Viola Lauver, both of Mifflintown, Mary Corbin, Port Royal, and Mrs. Wilbur W. (Jane) Benner, Greencastle; 12 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Book, and a sister, Ruth Gingrich.
She was an active member of Grace Bible Church of Souderton. She and her husband served for over five years with Habitat for Humanity in Johns Island, S.C. In addition, she had been active in Child Evangelism Fellowship for a number of years and had served many years as a Sunday school teacher and Bible School Director at Woodlawn Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Willow Grove.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Port Royal Exit 322, Mifflintown. Interment will be in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Oakland Mills.
Friends may call from 2:30 p.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.

Lyle G. Sassaman
Born July 16, 1948, in Kelly Township, Union County, he was the son of the late George and Mildred (Casner) Sassaman. His wife, Linda L. (Hollenbach) Sassaman, whom he married Sept. 18, 1965, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, Lyle G. Sassaman Jr., McAlisterville RR1, and Terry M. Sassaman, Beavertown RR1; sister and brothers, Janet Boreman and Dalton Sassaman, both of Lewistown, Larry Sassaman, Lewisburg, and Roger Sassaman, Florida; six grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
He attended West Snyder High School.
He operated a dairy farm in Adams Township and earlier had driven truck for Kreamer Feed.
He loved horses and farming.
He attended the Glenwood Avenue Chapel, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, with the Rev. Stanley D. Reep officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Selinsgrove RR1.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

Julie Ann Sausman
Born April 30, 1991, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of Tammy (Cowan) Sausman of Mill Creek and Daniel Sausman of Mill Creek. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, Michael and Patty Querry of Mount Union RR1.
Also surviving are: sister and brothers, Carrie Sausman, Daniel Sausman and Michael Sausman, all of Mill Creek; grandparents, Donald and Darlene Cowan, Allenport RR2, Mount Union; Donald and Emma Sausman, Mill Creek; and Mary Querry, Mount Union, RR1.
She enjoyed swimming and loved animals, especially the family dog and cockatiel.
She had just finished first grade at Kistler Elementary School.
She was Brethren by faith.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Phyllis Hunter officiating. Interment will be in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg RR1.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the services Sunday at the funeral home.
Gladys P. Saylor
Born Jan. 30, 1911, in Spring Township, Snyder County, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Vergie (Lepley) Haines. Her husband, George I. Saylor, whom she married in 1935, died Feb. 17, 1989.
Surviving are: sons, George C. Saylor, Beavertown, Michael H. Saylor, Landenberg, and David F. Saylor, Middletown, Del.; a sister, Helen Mattern; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terrence E. "Terry" Saylor, in 1987, and a sister, Pearle Wagner, in 1994.
She was a member of Beaver Lutheran Church, where she participated in the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. She also participated in the local Ladies Craft Club.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Beaver Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley D. Reep officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Beavertown.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at Aurand Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, where the family will be present from 7-9 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Lutheran Church, Beaver Springs, PA 17812.

YORK - Richard E. Sanders, 71, of York, Springettsbury Township, died at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 28, 1999. at his home.
MEXICO - Mary E. Sanderson, 94, a resident of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, formerly of Mexico, died at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at the nursing home.
LANSDALE - Esther Sarah Saner, 82, of Docks Woods Community, Lansdale, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 18, 2000, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township, Sellersville.
