Born in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Tom G. and Shirley (Weimer) Richard, Lewistown. Her husband, Richard J. Shaginaw, survives.
Also surviving are: children, JosephR. and Benjamin N. Shaginaw, both at home; sister, Susan K. Artman, Halifax, and maternal grandmother, Kathry E.Weimer, Belleville.
She was a technical secretary at Princeton University for more than 10 years.
She was a member of the adult choir at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
She was an avid crafter.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Avenue, Morrisville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Big Oak and Makefield roads, Lower Makefield Township, Pa. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Maitland Brethren Cemetery, Lewistown. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel and from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Maitland Brethren Church, Lewistown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 7701 Burholme Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
Oliver Alvin Shank
Born Jan. 27, 1921, in Milroy, he was a son of the late Oliver Andrew and Florence C. (Baker) Shank. His wife, Willa J. (Nale) Shank, whom he married Aug. 27, 1941, survives.
Also surviving are: children, A. Leslie Shank and Daryl N. Shank, both of Milroy; brothers and sisters, Marlin T. Shank, Mrs. Gardner (Jane) Glass, Mrs. Harry (Erma) Nale, Mrs. Foster (Ruth) Hoar, and Kenneth E. Shank, all of Milroy, Alda B. Wilson, Peoria, Ariz., David R. Shank, Conneaut, Ohio, and Mrs. Richard (Donna) Briner, Royersford; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen A. Shank.
He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Siglerville.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
He was employed by Standard Steel for over 30 years.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lewistown, the Milroy American Legion, and the Siglerville Grange.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with the Rev. Rosalie N. Smith and the Rev. Robert B. Harnish officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery, Siglerville.
Friends were received 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Dorothy L. Shawver
Born Oct. 19, 1922, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Lester Elroy and Minnie (Gingrich) Goss. Her husband, John H. Shawver, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, John G. Shawver, State College; sister and brothers, Mrs. Paul (Clemens) Baker, Hagerstown , Md., Lester S. Goss, Ferguson Valley Road, Lewistown, and Paul A. Goss, Baltimore, Md.; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin Goss.
She was a candy counter clerk at the G.C. Murphy Store, Lewistown, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Samuel's United Church of Christ, McClure RR1.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Clark S. Kelsey officiating. Interment will be in Samuel's Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends from noon until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Eva W. Sheaffer
Born Feb. 11, 1915, in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Olive (Acker) Wright. Her husband, Maurice C. Sheaffer, died in 1976.
Surviving are: children, Ronald M. Sheaffer, Walnut Creek, Calif., Karl K. Sheaffer, Duncannon, Wayne E. Sheaffer and David K. Sheaffer, both of Lewistown; a sister, Betty Gibson, Soldotna, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry D. Sheaffer, who died in 1995 and a brother, Karl Wright.
Early in life, she was a secretary at the New Cumberland Army Depot, then for Dr. Luther Rhodes, Optometrist, Lewistown. She was last employed as chief clerk at the Mifflin County courthouse.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. David Schmuck officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.

James G. Sheaffer Sr.
Born Dec. 10, 1922, in Reedsville, he was a son of the late Ephraim Court and Pearl Edna (Roof) Sheaffer. His wife, Betty (Oburn) Sheaffer, whom he married on Sept. 28, 1946, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Roy (Caroll) Fultz, Reedsville, James G. Sheaffer Jr., Gypsum, Colo., and Jay William Shawn Sheaffer, Reedsville; brother and sister, Jack R. Sheaffer, Lewistown, and Patricia Day, State College; five grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay W. Sheaffer and Joseph E. Sheaffer, and two sisters, Marie Sheaffer and Ada King.
In his early life, he was employed as a construction foreman for C.O. Struse Inc., Philadelphia, and Hughes and Fulkroad Inc., Philadelphia, for 20 years. He was last employed as owner/operator of J&B Bar, Reedsville, for 34 years.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy Sea Bee's 91st Battalion in the Pacific Theatre.
He was a member of the Reedsville United Methodist Church.
He was active in the 4-H Horse and Pony Club and Boy Scout Troop 10, Reedsville, and received the Order of the Arrow Award through Scouting. He was a member of the Reedsville Fire Company, Yeagertown Fire Company, Lewistown Elks Lodge 663 and Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Lewistown Moose Lodge 143 and Bellefonte VFW Post 1600.
The funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, First Avenue, Burnham, with the Rev. Richard J. Bender officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville. Graveside Military Rites will be by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.
Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Palmer Ellsworth Sheaffer
Born March 15, 1923, in West Perry Township, Snyder County, he was a son of the late Homer and Minnie L. (Martin) Sheaffer. His wife, Irene E. (Hoffman) Sheaffer, whom he married June 1, 1946, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Delbert C. (Diane S.) Ferster, Boyertown; a brother, Charles A. Sheaffer, Mount Pleasant Mills RR2; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Milbrand, in 1978; brothers, Wilmer H. Sheaffer and John S. Sheaffer; and sisters, Pauline M. Sheaffer and Patricia J. Sheaffer in childhood.
He was educated in the Evandale Grammar Schoolhouse.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre. He was awarded the Purple Heart for valor.
He retired in 1988 after 20 years as owner/operator of the Sheaffer Lumber Company, Richfield RR1. He had previously worked at Naylor's Garage in Richfield and for the VanDyke Brick Company in Thompsontown.
He was a member of Richfield Mennonite Church, Richfield Ambulance League, Richfield Fire Company, and Richfield Sportsmen's Club.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Richfield Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Dr. Jerry R. O'Connell officiating and Pastor Chan Cutting assisting. Interment will be in Richfield Union Cemetery, Richfield.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Ira W. 'Bill' Sheerer
Born March 19, 1920, in Van Dyke, he was a son of the late Brehman and Lizzie (Derickson) Sheerer. His wife, Lovina (Bossler) Sheerer, whom he married Jan. 12, 1946, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, Eric F. Sheerer, Lancaster; brother and sisters, Edward E. Sheerer, Longwood, Fla., Alma O. Becker, Mexico, Alice L. Gilson, Port Royal, Esther Dumm and Patricia A. Niemond, both of Lewistown, and Shirley A. Naylor, Shiremanstown.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Charles E. Sheerer, Jay E. Sheerer, Henry D. Sheerer, and Mary S. Herbster.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre.
He was a supervisor from 1947-1957 at the General Motors BOP Assembly Plant, Wilmington, Del. He also worked as a millwright at the American Can Company, Lemoyne, retiring after 25 years of service in 1983.
He was a member of Centre Lutheran Church and the Newport Royal Arch Chapter 238.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Centre Lutheran Church, Mifflintown RR2, with the Rev. Claude R. Baublitz officiating. Interment will be in Thompsontown Lutheran Cemetery, where a military service will be conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.
There will be no public viewing.

Martha McKee Sheerer
Born March 18, 1909, in the Altoona area, she was the daughter of the late Silas J. and Blanche (Fogleman) Slagle. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Strode McKee. Her second husband, Charles "Bud" Sheerer, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, Herman S. McKee, Thompsontown RR1; a daughter, Mary "Betty" Beagle, Berea, Ky.; brothers, Edgar Slagle, Van Wert, and Elwood Slagle, Oriental; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Dena Wagner, Mifflintown, and Dorothy Goodling, Thompsontown RR1; six step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren.
She had worked as a midwife and in family care.
She was a member of Locust Run United Methodist Church and had been active with the Ladies Aid of the church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Maureen Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Locust Run Cemetery, Thompsontown RR1.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
