Born Feb. 12, 1920, in Yeagertown, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Anna Elizabeth (Carter) Sheetz.
Surviving is a sister, Anna Mary Wagner of Lewistown.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He was employed as a laborer.
Private interment was held in Yeagertown Lutheran Cemetery.
Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
Sally A. Sheetz
Born Nov. 24, 1939, in Juniata County, she was a daughter of Dorothy (Kerr) Huffnagle and the late Earl W. Huffnagle. Her husband, James C. "Jack" Sheetz, whom she married on May 11, 1957, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Daniel J. Sheetz and William S. Sheetz, both of Lewistown, Mrs. Michael (Cheryl Ann) Zortman, York, Douglas C. Sheetz and Debra K. Whary, both of Reedsville; stepmother, Ruth Irene (Crawford) Casner, who raised her; brother, Edward Huffnagle, Milroy; step-brothers, William Stein and Gary Huffnagle, both of McVeytown, Richard Huffnagle, Huntingdon, James Stein, Altoona; eight grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel A. Sheetz.
She worked in housekeeping and later was a radiology aide at Lewistown Hospital.
She was a member of Black Oak Ridge Lutheran Church, McClure RR, and was a Sunday School supervisor and choir member. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave, Burnham, with the Rev. Guy Hockenberry officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Robert M. Shellenberger
Born Dec. 20, 1912, in West Perry Township, Snyder County, he was the son of the late Albert and Annie (Mitterling) Shellenberger. His wife, Martha (Keller) Shellenberger, whom he married Dec. 24, 1941, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Warren (Patricia) Chubb, Richfield RR1 and Robert L. Shellenberger, Richfield; sister and brother, Beatrice Lauver, Richfield and Earl Shellenberger, Lewistown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Gertrude Lauver, Claire Spigelmyer, Dorothy Varner, Ruth Shellenberger, Samuel Shellenberger, Clyde Shellenberger, and William Shellenberger.
He attended Stahls' Grammar School in West Perry Township.
He was a lifelong farmer and was also a chicken sexer, employed by most chicken hatcheries in the Susquehanna Valley, retiring in 1965.
He was a life member of the Richfield United Church of Christ, a member of the Richfield Fire Department and the Ambulance League, and past member of the Richfield Sportsman's Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and custom butchering.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Thomas E. Adams Jr. and the Rev. Elwood O. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Richfield Union Cemetery.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will be present to receive friends 7-9 p.m.

Myrtle N. Shelley
Born Feb. 17, 1905, in Hunters Station, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Lizzie (Dressler) Strawser. Her husband, North S. Shelley, whom she married on March 11, 1928, preceded her in death on May 19, 1972.
Surviving are: three sons, Robert E. Shelley, Thompsontown RR2, Nevin N. Shelley, Thompsontown RR, and Ray Shelley, McAlisterville; a daughter, Elizabeth Miller, Millerstown; a sister, Beulah Strawser, McAlisterville; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Shelley; a daughter, Lois Sausser; seven brothers and five sisters.
She attended school at Dressler's Ridge Grammar School.
An avid reader, she also enjoyed sewing.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Dr. John Libert officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.

Winifred V. Shemory
Born Aug. 22, 1917, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Maybelle (Wray) Brannon. Her husband, James M. Shemory Sr., died in 1977.
Surviving are: children, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) James, 218 Bratton Ave., Lewistown, Helen Metzger, Fort Myers, Fla., James M. Shemory Jr., Fifth Avenue, Burnham, and Mrs. C. Earl (Anna Mary) Johnston, 245 Loop Road, Lewistown; brothers and sisters, Anna Herbert, East Fourth Street, Lewistown, Mrs. Jack (Ada) Mellot, Burnham, Pearl Brannon, Burgard Apartments, Lewistown, and James Brannon, Sixth Street, Lewistown; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Route 522 North, Lewistown, with Speaker Jeffrey Barton officiating. Private interment will be held at Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Mary E. Sheriff
Born Nov. 4, 1927, in Granville Township, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Lester W. and Verbenia (Crossgrove) Cavanaugh. Her husband, John H. Sheriff of Valley View Haven, Belleville, whom she married Feb. 17, 1952, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Douglas (Marlene) Pierce, 63 Runway Lane, Lewistown, Timothy P. Sheriff, Pittsburgh, and Daniel J. Sheriff, Logan Street, Lewistown; sisters, Mrs. Robert (Martha) MacClay, Belleville and Mrs. Glenn (Esther) Kline, Mechanicsburg; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Lester and David Sheriff.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Lauver United Methodist Church and the Mail Carrier's Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Kevin Brophy officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ethel G. Sherlock
Born June 17, 1908, in Mifflintown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Emma K. (Reese) Gaul. Her husband, C. Nevin Sherlock, died Sept. 23, 1972.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Robert L. (Betty S.) Houtz, Mifflintown; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, C. Nevin "Sonny" Sherlock Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Lyne Fleisher.
She was the last of her immediate family having been preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph A. Gaul Sr. and C. Reese Gaul; and one sister, Edna B. Leach.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown.
Services will be held 11 a.m. today at the Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Douglas Compton and the Rev. Ed Rohrbeck officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services today at the funeral home.
The family will provide all flowers.

Kathryn A. Sherman
Born Nov. 28, 1906, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Hannah I. (Dunn) Elder. Her husband, H. Edward Sherman, died Jan. 19, 1963.
Surviving are: three nephews, William Kenneth Elder, Ronald Elder, Gerald E. Elder, and a niece, Janice A. Rittner.
She was the last her immediate family, having been preceded in death brothers, William B. Elder and Earl Elder.
She was employed at The Sentinel, Lewistown, and Mifflin County Broadcasting Company.
She was a 1924 graduate of Lewistown High School. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Belleville.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville, with the Rev. Lois Martin officiating.
There will be no public viewing. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.

REEDSVILLE - Sally A. Sheetz, 59, of 168 Wilson St., Reedsville, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.
RICHFIELD - Robert M. Shellenberger, 86, of Richfield, died at 1:19 a.m. Sunday, March 28, 1999, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
THOMPSONTOWN - Myrtle N. Shelley, 95, formerly of Thompsontown RR2, died at 2:42 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2000, at the Zendt Home, Richfield, where she had been a resident since Oct. 15, 1998.
MIFFLINTOWN - Winifred V. Shemory, 81, a resident of Berry's Personal Care, Mifflintown, formerly of Kish Apts., Lewistown, died at 5:13 p.m. Monday, July 26, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.
BELLEVILLE - Mary E. Sheriff, 72, a resident of Valley View Haven, Belleville, formerly of 29 Cedar Drive, Lewistown, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital.
MIFFLINTOWN - Ethel G. Sherlock, 91, a resident of the Brookline Manor Convalescent Rest Home, formerly of Mifflintown, died at 4:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at the nursing home.
BELLEVILE - Kathryn A. Sherman, 92, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, formerly of Belleville RD1, died at 2:38 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 1999, at the home.
