Born Oct. 17, 1908, in Altoona, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Nannie (Renninger) Yoder. Her husband, Ralph L. Shottsberger, died June 24, 1990.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. David L. (Erla) Swigart, Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown; sisters, Ivy Johns, Lewistown RR and Alice Smith, Orbisonia; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren and the Tried and True Sunday School Class.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Donald E. Peters Jr. and the Rev. James Yoder officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery, Lewistown.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Friday at the funeral home.

Damin Matthew Lee Shreffler
Also surviving are: maternal grandmother, Julie Hartley of Lewistown; maternal grandfather, Richard W. Lee of Maine; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Shreffler of Lewistown; and maternal great-grandparents, William and Julie Hockenberry of Lewistown.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Juniata Memorial Park with the Rev. G. Dayton Sines officiating.
Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
Iona M. 'Onie' Sierer
Born July 28, 1917, in Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Elizabeth (Burris) Varner. Her husband, Russel Edgar "Spike" Sierer, whom she married Aug. 4, 1937, died May 14, 1996.
Surviving are: children, Larry D. and Greg K. Sierer, both of Mount Pleasant Mills RR1, Mrs. Carl (Deborah S.) Shaffer, Mount Pleasant Mills RR1, and Mrs. Merle (Janet L.) Rakerd, Vicksburg; sister and brothers, Mrs. Leroy (Mary) Strawser, Millerstown RR2, Vown Varner, McAlisterville RR2, and Vernon Varner, Richfield HCR 63; eight grandchildren and one great-greatgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Sierer; three brothers, Victor Burris and Jerome and Marlin Varner; and two sisters, Margaret Hood and Alice Strawser.
She was educated at the Red Bank Grammar schoolhouse in Juniata County.
She was an accomplished quilter and homemaker who enjoyed flowers, spending time with family and going to Potter County.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant Mills and the Lutheran Church Women and adult Sunday school class of the church. She was also a member of the Fremont Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxilary.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Evengelical Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Andrew C. Weaver, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of services at the church. There will be no viewing.

Kathryn M. Simanski
Born Aug. 21, 1912, in Burnham, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Slopak) Heider. Her husband, Stanley J. Simanski, died Oct. 31, 1983.
Surviving are: sisters, Margaret Heider, Pannebaker Avenue, Lewistown and Della Wian, Beverly Healthcare-William Penn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Lewistown.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Thomas Marickovic officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be no public viewing but family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Mae Q. Simon
Born May 12, 1903, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Charles and Annie (Shilling) Quay. Her husband, Joe L. Simon, whom she married in 1942, died in 1988.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
She retired as a nurse in 1968 from FMC.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lewistown, and a charter member of Soroptimist International of the Americas, where she was president for two terms. She was also a past member of Lewistown Country Club.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Rock Cemetery, with Karen McCachren officiating. Interment will follow.
There will be no public viewing.

Elizabeth B. Simons
Born May 11, 1910, in the Kishacoquillas Valley, she was the daughter of the late Eliphaz E. and Arminta (Eckley) Bigelow. Her husband, the Rev. Harvey B. Simons, former pastor of the Lake Park United Methodist Church, died in 1980.
Surviving are a son, the Rev. William B. Simons, Decatur, Ala.; a sister, Isabel Patterson, Williamsburg; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
She was an elementary school teacher and was employed by the Mifflin County School District, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Decatur, Ala.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the Central United Methodist Church, 616 Jackson St., Southeast Decatur, AL 35601.

Hazel E. Simpson
Born June 24, 1923, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Linnie G. (Decker) Stricker.
Surviving are: a son, Michael E. Simpson, Marysville; brothers and sister, Lynn Stricker, Eugene Stricker, and Arlene Osborne, all of Lewistown; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She had been employed at Arrow Shirt Factory, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Captain Eddie Purvis officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Stella M. Sims
Born Aug. 24, 1932, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late George Herrington and Hazel (Casner) Herrington Shore. Her husband, Daniel Sims, whom she married in 1955, died in 1988.
Surviving are: three sons, Mike Sims, Blacksburg, Va., Matthew Sims, Silver Springs, Md., and Mark Sims, Front Royal, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Violet) Hummel, Lewistown; a brother, George Herrington, Belleville; and three grandchildren.
She was a 1951 graduate of Lewistown High School.
She retired as a food service manager for the Warren County Public School System in 1993. Earlier in life, she had worked for the Arrow Shirt Factory, Lewistown.
She loved bingo and puzzles.
Services were held at Calvary Episcopal Church, Front Royal, Va., with the Rev. Deborah Rutter and the Rev. Dr. Derald Stump officiating. Interment was in St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery, Lewistown.

LEWISTOWN - Hazel B. Shottsberger, 91, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown, formerly of Mattawana, died at 3:21 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at the nursing home.
LEWISTOWN - Damin Matthew Lee Shreffler, infant son of Scott Shreffler and Holly Lee of Lewistown, was stillborn at 5:44 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital.
MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS - Iona M. "Onie" Sierer, 82, formerly of Star Route, Moun Pleasant Mills, died at 4:34 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2000, in Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont RR1, where she had been a resident in declining health for the past four years.
BURNHAM - Kathryn M. Simanski, 86, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, formerly of 301 Eighth Ave., Burnham, died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 1999, at the nursing home.
MIFFLINTOWN - Mae Q. Simon, 96, a resident of Brookline Manor Nursing Home, Mifflintown, formerly of 21 Logan St., Lewistown, died at 10:55 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at the nursing home.
MOULTON, Ala. - Elizabeth B. Simons, 89, a resident of NHC Health Care, Moulton, Ala., formerly of Lewistown, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at the health care facility.
LEWISTOWN - Hazel E. Simpson, 76, of 10 Landfill Road, Lewistown, died at 2 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2000 at Lewistown Hospital.
FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Stella M. Sims, 67, of Front Royal, Va., died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, in Bethesda, Md.
