MIFFLINTOWN - Kenneth E. "Kenny" Bardell, 86, of Mifflintown RR4, died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 15, 1913, in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late Myrtle E. (Bardell) Kline and the stepson of the late Henry I. Kline. His wife, Vivian "Tiny" (Zeiders) Bardell, whom he married July 12, 1951, survives.
Also surviving are a son, Steven E. Bardell, Duncannon and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
He retired in 1983 as a custodian for the Tuscarora Junior High School and was previously employed for 27 years by the American Viscose Corporation, Lewistown until 1972.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Mifflin, and its Men's Bible Sunday School Class, and he had served as a trustee of the church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 298, Mifflintown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, with the Rev. George S. Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville RR1, where full military honors will be conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

HARRISBURG - Terry L. Barham, 42, of 6120 Ironwood Drive, Harrisburg, died at 7:58 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 1999 in the emergency room of the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born March 21, 1957, in Raleigh , N. C., he was the son of Preston H. and E. Irene (Moore) Barham, Wilmington, N.C. His wife, Lisa K. (Robinson) Barham, 6120 Ironwood Drive, Harrisburg, survives.
Also surviving are: a son, Zachary M. Barham, at home; and a brother, Thomas P. "Tommy" Barham, Wilmington, N.C.
He was a 1975 graduate of Millbrook High School, Raleigh N. C. and a 1979 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C.
He was an insurance claims administrator and the owner and operator of Claim Control Services, Harrisburg.
He attended the Linglestown United Methodist Church and was a member of CPCU Society for Underwriters and the PIAA-Pa. Interscholastic Athletic Association. He also was an umpire for Little League baseball and football.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rex Funeral Home, 308 Market St., Port Royal, with the Rev. Thomas A. Maurer officiating. Interment will be in Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Academia.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

MOUNT JOY - Ramon P. "Spider" Barger, 47, of 3673 Mount Joy Road, Mount Joy, died of natural causes Thursday, March 16, 2000, at his residence.
Born March 13, 1953, in Lewistown, he was a son of Alvin Barger of McVeytown and the late Thelma (Burnheimer) Barger. He is survived by his fiance, Debra Long, with whom he resided.
Also surviving are: children, Scott D. Barger, address unknown, Alex L. Barger, Mountville, and Rebecca Barger, Mount Joy; a brother, Elwood Barger, McVeytown; and maternal grandmother, Lavinia Burnheimer, Oxford, Fla.
He was a 1971 graduate of the Mifflin County School District.
He was employed for 25 years as a truck driver for Yellow Freight Systems Inc., where he received his "one million miles safe driver award" in September.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 771 and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 596, Elizabethtown.
He was a CB enthusiast, and was known by the handle "Spider". He enjoyed boating and was an avid outdoorsman and NASCAR fan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, with the Rev. Jerry L. Miller officiating.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.

PORT ROYAL - Kathryn M. Bargo, 83, of 406A Fourth St., Port Royal, died at 4:14 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, HC67, Mifflin.
Born Feb. 8, 1916, in Honey Grove, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Nellie (Rhinesmith) Kint. Her husband, Merle A. Bargo, died April 27, 1991.
Surviving are: children, Ronald E. Bargo and Norman E. Bargo, both of Port Royal, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Clayton, East Waterford, and Mrs. Samuel (Shirley) Book, Harrisburg; half-sisters, Mrs. Roy (Betty) Eager and Mrs. William (Mary) Hogg, both of Quarryville, Mrs. James (Esther) Long, Pottstown, and Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Rhoads, Perkiomenville; half-brother, Robert Kint, Circleville, Ohio; stepsister, Doris Levengood, Pottstown; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by stepmother, Greta (Law) Kint; sister, Helen Henry; brother, Paul Kint; and half-brother, William Kint.
She was a 1933 graduate of Enola High School.
She was a retired employee of the Department of Transportation, Harrisburg.
She was a member of Matamoras United Methodist Church.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McCulloch's Mills Cemetery, Tuscarora Township, Juniata County, with the Rev. Frank J. Swartz officiating.
There will be no viewing.

REEDSVILLE - C. Clyde Barley, 84, of 220 Pearl St., Reedsville, died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born Sept. 23, 1915, in Everett, he was a son of the late Charles C. and Mary (Manspeaker) Barley. His wife, Dorothy (Beward) Barley of 220 Pearl St., Reedsville, whom he married Sept. 4, 1940, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Edward (Mary Lee) Mann, New Holland, and the Mrs. Rev. Owen (Paula) Walter, York; sisters, Mrs. Seth (Josephine) Folsom, Augusta, Ga., and Sybil Colvin, Havertown; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
A supervisor for Sperry-New Holland, Belleville, he retired in 1977.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Reedsville Lutheran Church, as well as the F&AM Lodge 292, Richard, Va.; Royal Arch Chapter 196, Lewistown; Juniata Valley Council 64, Lewistown Commandery 26; Tall Cedars of Lebanon 88; Jaffa Temple Altoona,; Jaffa Band for 40 years; BPOE Lodge 663; past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star 283; and Lewistown Shrine Club.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery, Thompsontown.

LEWISTOWN - Herman W. Barner Sr., 72, of 3 Knepp Ave., Lewistown, died at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
Born Feb. 28, 1927, in Richfield, he was a son of the late Elmer N. and Blanche L. (Basom) Barner. His wife, Olive I. (Eberts) Barner, died in 1989.
Surviving are: a companion, Thelma M. Yocum, 3 Knepp Ave., Lewistown; children, Mrs. James (Connie) Brannon, 726 W. Sixth St., Lewistown, Herman W. Barner Jr., Marysville, Ronald E. Barner, New Bloomfield, Nancy A. Coleman, Lewistown, and Mrs. William (Louann) Beers Jr., Fifth Street, Lewistown; sisters and brothers, Grace Fogle, Lewisburg, Mary Weider, Landisville, Rev. Charles W. Barner, Loop Road, Lewistown, and Palmer Barner, Enola; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Barner, in 1967; three brothers, Victor Barner, Robert Barner and Malvern Barner; and two sisters, Almeda Aumiller and Bertha Book.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He was a retired conductor of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
He was Methodist by faith and a member of Lewistown Moose Lodge No. 143 and VFW Post 7011.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Charles W. Barner officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

SWAINSBORO, Ga. - Betty Lou Campbell Barnes, 66, of 121 Lynn St., Swainsboro, Ga., died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at the Emanuel Medical Center.
Born Jan. 13, 1933, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Sadie (Swartz) Campbell. Her husband, Jack R. Barnes of Swainsboro, Ga., survives.
Also surviving are: children, Richard Barnes, Royal Palm Beach, Fla., Kathleen Barnes, Swainsboro, Ga., Denise Simmons, Loxahatchee, Fla., and Jackie Tucker, North Palm Beach, Fla; a sister, Shirley Campbell, Rehoboth Beach, Del.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was retired from Publix Supermarkets, West Palm Beach, Fla.
She was a member of the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Walter Mann and the Rev. Benjy Varnell officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Swainsboro, Ga.
Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. today at the Johnson Funeral Home, 427 N. Main St., Swainsboro, Ga., and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.
MCCLURE - Dorothy A. Barnett, 81, of 11 Snyder Lane, McClure, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at the Ohesson Manor Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 10, 1917, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Commodore Perry and Emma Mertie (Wagner) Wray. Her husband, Wayne M. Barnett, whom she married March 6, 1937, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, W. Michael Barnett and Matthew S. Barnett, both of McClure; a sister, Emma M. Krick, Lewistown; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Wray Barnett in 1940, four brothers and four sisters.
She was a 1935 graduate of Lewistown High School and attended Pennsylvania State Secretarial School of Harrisburg, graduating in 1936.
Early in life, she worked for the Savings & Loan on Market Street, Lewistown, and for Foster Smith at the Log Cabin Inn.
She enjoyed dancing, roller skating, crocheting, knitting, reading novels, and was an expert in crossword puzzles.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Jacob Traxler officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice or to the Special Olympics Association of Central Pennsylvania.
