Frank Wasylak
Born Dec. 20, 1917, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John and Anna Wasylak. His wife, Pearl Wasylak, preceded him in death in 1981. His companion, Grace Bulick, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Melvin Wasylak of East Waterford and Betty Jane Albright of Douglasville, Pa.; step-children, Robert A. Bulick Jr. of Millersburg, Russell E. Bulick of Towanda, Pa. and Bryan M. Bulick of Lewistown; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
He was retired from Mrs. Smith Pies in Pottstown, Pa.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., with the Rev. Donald Peters officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Clementine Arlene Watkin
Born Nov. 28, 1913, in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Daniel W. and Elizabeth (Long) Bucher. Her husband, Dr. Walter B. Watkin Sr., whom she married Dec. 23, 1939, died June 16, 1985.
Surviving are: sons Dr. Walter B. Watkin, Jr. of Harrisburg, William B. Watkin of Saltillo, Thomas S. Watkin of McAlisterville, and James Richard Watkin of Orbisonia; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
She graduated from Orbisonia High School as class valedictorian and later graduated from the Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing. She also completed specialty studies in nursing at Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia.
She was a registered nurse assisting her husband's local practice from 1940-1985.
She was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Saltillo and served as a volunteer at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia for several years. She enjoyed painting and baking.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Robert L. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, with Pastor Tom Maurer and Mr. Gene Cornelius officiating. Interment will be in the Saltillo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today and from noon until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church of one's choice.
Clair H. 'Ted' Watts
Born Feb. 25, 1919, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Keemer E. A. and Emily Rebecca (Carwell) Watts. His wife, Audrey J. (Gray) Watts, whom he married Feb. 5, 1972, survives.
Also surviving are: brothers and sister, Keemer A. Watts, Thompsontown RR1, William R. Watts, Lloyd C. Watts, and Winifred W. Flickinger, all of McAlisterville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley W. Watts, and sisters, Harriet S. Watts, Margaret J. Newcomer and Mary E. Watts.
He was a 1937 graduate of Fayette High School and graduated in 1939 from Central Penn Business School with a degree in business.
He retired as a self-employed farmer and poultry farmer.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Dennis Thompson officiating. Interment will be in McCulloch's Mills Cemetery, McCulloch's Mills.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Cora Ethel 'Grandma' Watts
Born Sept. 21, 1929, in Snyder County, she was a daughter of the late Emanual A. and Ethel May (Kemer) Knouse. Her husband, John Wessley Watts Sr., whom she married Sept. 14, 1946, died Sept. 11, 1984.
Surviving are: a son, John W. Watts Jr., Liverpool RR1; a daughter, Mrs. James R. (Ethel Mae "Sis") Hile, Mount Pleasant Mills RR2; sisters, Mrs. Bryant (Flora) Swartz, Millerstown RR2, and Shirley Debo, Blaksley; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother and sisters, David C. Knouse, Julia Knouse in infancy, Louisa Knouse, and Mary Shiltz; and a long-time companion, Wilfred R. Hawk, who died in December of 1994.
She was educated at Buckwheat Valley Grammar and Pleasant View Grammar schoolhouses.
She was employed for Eileen Hope Inc. at the Liverpool, Newport, New Bloomfield, and Duncannon factories and for the Williamstown Industry Firm in Williamstown.
She was Lutheran by faith.
She was a member of Richfield Ambulance League, Oriental Sportsmen's Club, Liverpool American Legion auxiliary and the Millerstown Loyal Order of the Moose.
She enjoyed reading newspapers, solving word finds and participating in CB clubs.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills. Interment will be in Arbogast's Lutheran Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills RR2.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Abe P. Weaver
Born April 5, 1929, in Holmes County, OH, he was a son of the late Abe P. and Katie Ann (Miller) Weaver. His wife, Drusilla M. (Hochstetler) Weaver, whom he married Jan. 1, 1952, survives.
Also surviving are: five sons, Martin A. Weaver and David A. Weaver, McAlisterville, Dan A. Weaver, Mifflintown, John A. Weaver and Jacob A. Weaver, Cochranton; four daughters, Katie Ann Wengerd and Rachel A. Peachy and Barbara A. Peachy, McAlisterville, and Elizabeth A. Weaver, at home; two brothers, Henry Weaver, Delton, OH and Dan Weaver, Wooster, OH; three sisters, Verna Hershberger, Apple Creek, OH, Fannie Troyer, Orrville, OH and Annie Kauffman, Orristown, OH; and 36 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Abe Weaver Jr., and an infant daughter, Mary Weaver.
He was a retired self-employed lumberman.
The funeral service is at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the home of Aquillas Peachy, McAlisterville RR1, with interment following at the Van Wert Amish Cemetery, Mifflintown RR2.
Friends may call anytime today at the Weaver family home, McAlisterville RR1.
The Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville is handling the funeral arrangements.
Margaret M. Weaver
Born June 27, 1927, in Buckwheat Valley, Perry County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Kline) Michael. Her husband, Ray C. Weaver, died March 20, 1988.
Surviving are: children, Mrs. Harold (Mary Jane) Clark, Montgomery, Michael Weaver and David Weaver, both of South Williamsport; sisters and brother, Nancy Staccone, Williamsport, Cora Barnes and George Michael, both of Lewistown; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Charles Michael, John Michael, Feron Michael, Omer "Bud" Michael, Esther Muskus, and Ruth Fletcher.
She was an employee of the former Sylvania Electronics at Lamar/Mill Hall.
She was a member of the Saint Mark Lutheran Church, Williamsport, a member of the Lutheran Church Women, and had been a Children's Choir mother at the church. She had also been a member of the South Williamsport Senior Citizens.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Saint Mark Lutheran Church, 142 N. Market St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Kenneth R. Elkin officiating. Interment will be in Zion Union Cemetery, Bellefonte.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service today at the church.
Family will provide all flowers, but memorial contributions may be made to: the South Williamsport Senior Citizens Center, 324 S. Howard St., South Williamsport, PA 17702.
The Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 East Central Ave., South Williamsport, is in charge of arrangements.
Raymond R. 'Dick' Webber
Born April 2, 1931, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late G. Griffin and Martha Mae (Walter) Webber. His wife, Mildred L. (Mowery) Burke Webber, whom he married March 26, 1976, survives.
Also surviving are: stepchildren, Stephen C. Burke, 180 Peace Drive, Lewistown, Timothy G. Burke, 324 S. Main St., Lewistown, and Mrs. Dennis (Paula) Getz, 104 Hillside Drive, Lewistown; a sister, Marlene M. Happeny, Duncansville; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was a 1949 graduate of Lewistown High School and a 1958 graduate of Lock Haven State Teacher's College.
He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He retired from the Mifflin County School District in 1986, having taught Social Studies and Driver's Education at Rothrock and Kishacoquillas High Schools. He was head coach of the Kish Boy's Basketball from 1964-1978. Prior to that he coached Kish Junior Varsities for several years.
He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown.
He was a life member of the Brooklyn Hose Co. and the B.P.O.E. Lodge 663, Lewistown. He was a member of the Capital Area Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and founded the Mifflin County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Lewistown Lodge 203 F&AM, the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, the Rolling Rock Athletic Club and the East Enders.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Sanctuary Restoration Fund, 120 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Elizabeth H. Weber
Born in Port Royal, she was a daughter of the late John and Sylvia (Lyter) Hutchinson. Her husband, Joseph L. Weber, survives.
Also surviving are: two daughters, Amy (Weber) Radomski and Pamela Weber, both of Reading and two grandchildren.
She was employed as manager of Judy's Closet Outlet Store, Reading, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Reading and past president of the Woman's Club of Reiffton.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Auman Funeral Home, Reiffton. Burial will be private.

HARRISBURG - Clementine Arlene Watkin, 85, Saltillo, died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
MIFFLINTOWN - Clair H. "Ted" Watts, 80, of 306 Orange St., Mifflintown, died at 5:52 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.
MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS - Cora Ethel "Grandma" Watts, 69, of Mount Pleasant Mills RR1, died at 1:58 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
MCALISTERVILLE - Abe P. Weaver, 70, of McAlisterville RR1, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at the Lewistown Hospital from injuries received in a fall while trimming trees at his home.
