Charles "Sunny" Henry Wehmeyer
Born Sept. 5, 1909, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Oscar Charles and Kathrine (Updyke) Wehmeyer. His wife, Violet Gladys (Sacks) Wehmeyer of Brookline Manor, whom he married July 7, 1930, survives.
Also surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Glen (Jean) Compton, Mifflintown, and Mrs. John (Nancy) Howell, Shutesbury, Mass.; brothers, Norman Wehmeyer, Churchville, and Richard Wehmeyer, Hatboro; sisters, Cora Henderson, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Ruth Lindstrom, Saratoga, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Alan Wehmeyer, in 1946.
He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard during World War II.
He was a retail milk deliverer for 43 years, working for Brenninger Dairy, Harbison's Dairy and retiring from Gardenville Dairy, Doylestown, in 1973.
He was a pen and ink artist and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown. He was a former member and past warden of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Quakertown.
He was a former auditor in East Rockhill Township, Bucks County, and a past member of the East Rockhill School Authority, the Pennridge School Authority and the Upper Bucks Vocational School Authority.
He was also a past member of the Haycock Senior Citizen Center and the Pennridge Senior Citizen Center.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Anna Ritter officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Ninth and Main streets, Quakertown, PA 18951; or Messiah Lutheran Church, 3 S. Third St., Mifflintown, PA 17059 or to Brookline Manor Organ Fund, RR1, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, is in charge of arrangements.
Violet G. Sacks Wehmeyer
Born Jan. 6, 1908, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Henry M. and Fyatte R. (Neubert) Sacks. Her husband, Charles H. "Sunny" Wehmeyer, died Sept. 15, 1999.
Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Glen (Jean) Compton, Mifflintown RR3, and Mrs. John (Nancy) Howell, Shutesbury, Md.; brother and sister, M. Oliver Sacks, Doylestown, and Sarah Clayton, Quakerstown; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Alan Wehmeyer, in 1946.
She attended Girl's High School and Strayner's Business College, both in Philadelphia.
She had been a secretary at Sears, Roebuck and Company, Philadelphia.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, former member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and Emmanuel Women's Auxiliary Association, Quakerstown. She was also a member of Haycock Senior Citizen Center and Pennridge Senior Citizen Center.
She was a 4-H sewing leader and also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, tole painting and oil painting.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Anna Ritter officiating.
There will be no public viewing.

Bryan E. Weiand
Born June 12, 1963, in Lewistown, he was the son of Joyce (Seaholtz) Weiand of HC 63 McAlisterville and the late Albert W. Weiand. His wife, Sherry (Fahnestock) Weiand, whom he married Aug. 16, 1986, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Jamie L Fahnestock, Orrstown; brother and sister, Jeffrey D. Weiand, Mifflin and Wendy J. Kelly, Citira, Fla.
He was a pork producer.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Claude Baublitz officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Josephine F. Weiand
Born Oct. 12, 1913, in Decatur Township, she was a daughter of the late John Wilson and Catherine Elizabeth (Spigelmire) Goss. Her husband, W. Chester Weiand, whom she married April 7, 1938, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mary A. Tate, Newport, and Leroy J. Weiand and Margaret E. Bowers, both of Milroy; brother, Leroy C. Goss, Milroy; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Cloyd J. Goss, Millard Goss, Albert Goss, James M. Goss, J. Howard Goss, Wilson A. Goss Sr., Margaret Auman, Dorothy Fultz, Sara Shank and Mae Shawver.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Siglerville.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Pastor Rosalie N. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Siglerville.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Nancy L. Weiand
Born Sept. 22, 1943, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Genny (Kreider) Holley. Her husband, Samuel W. Weiand Sr., whom she married Dec. 18, 1970, survives.
Surviving are: children, Samuel W. Weiand Jr. and April F. Weiand, both of McAlisterville RR2; brothers and sisters, Robert Kreider Sr., Mifflintown RR1, Gloria Jean Wentling, Lebanon, Joseph Holley, Mifflintown RR, and Pharus Holley, Lewistown RR; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael W. Weiand, and a brother, Harry Holley Jr.
She attended Evangelical United Methodist Church, Oakland Mills.
She was an avid bingo player , enjoyed embroidering and loved animals.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Franklin E. Trego officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Mifflintown RR2.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where family will be present 7-9 p.m.
Donald H. Weikel
Born July 10, 1926, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Elmer James and Julia Blanche (Jones) Weikel. His wife, Joyce (Agle) Weikel, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Steve Weikel, Churchville, Neil Weikel, New Hope, Carol Grantano, Golden, Colo., Linda Weikel, Croydon, and Gail Mederos, Richland, N.C.; sister, Mamie Fischer, San Antonio, Texas; and 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was a 1947 graduate of Lewistown High School.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He taught carpentry and mill work at Bucks County Technical School from 1960 until his retirement in 1990.
He enjoyed square dancing.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Emilie Road and Green Lane, Levittown.

His body was donated to Gift to Humanities.
Anna Margaret Weiler
Born May 27, 1924, in Mooresville, she was a daughter of the late Rodger D. and Ada Blanche (Gibboney) Ewing. Her husband, Ralph M. Weiler of Petersburg RR1, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Leslie E. Weiler, LaDonna Weiler and Gale E. Weiler, all of Philadelphia and Terry L. Weiler, Huntingdon RR2; sisters, Mrs. Jack (Louise) White, Burbank, Calif. and Mrs. Guy (Elsie) Fleck, State College; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ennisville United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville, with Pastor Shirley Russell officiating. Interment will be in the Mooresville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Isabelle (Miller) Weiler
Born June 17, 1912, in Miller Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late James G. and Ruth (Bell) Miller.
Surviving are: a son, James M. Weiler, Bedford; a sister, Laura B. Miller, Miller Township, Huntingdon RR2; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Miller and Anna C. Miller.
She attended the Summit School in Miller Township and the McAlevy's Fort High School. She was a 1930 graduate of Petersburg Vocational High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Manor Hill United Methodist Church, Manor Hill, and its the Do-for-Others Sunday School Class, as well as a charter member of the United Methodist Women of the Manor Hill UMC and the Donation Grange.
She enjoyed needlework and reading.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon, with the Rev. Shirley J. Russell officiating. Interment will be in Mooresville Cemetery, West Township, Petersburg RR1.
Family will receive friends after 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

MIFFLINTOWN - Violet G. Sacks Wehmeyer, 91, of Brookline Manor, Mifflintown RR1, formerly of Covered Bridge Road, Quakertown, died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at the manor.
MIFFLINTOWN - Bryan E. Weiand, 36, of Tioga RR2, formerly of Mifflintown, died of natural causes at 10:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at his home.
