Olive Mowery White
Born March 1, 1908 in Burnham, she was the daughter of the late John and Lyda Mowery. Her husband, Harold G. White, whom she married on Dec. 12, 1931 in Selinsgrove, died in 1989.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Grigalist of, Yorkville and Mrs. Marvin (Arlene) Peters, Batavia, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and brothers, Mary A. Baker, Victor S. Mowery, Lloyd W. Mowery, Vincent M. Mowery and James L. Mowery.
She attended Batavia United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women.
An avid Chicago White Sox fan, she also enjoyed baking.
Services were held earlier at Batavia United Methodist Church, Batavia, Ill., with the Rev. Michael S. Stoner officiating. Private interment was in West Batavia Cemetery.

Regina Whitehead
Born May 9, 1942, in Gadsen, Ala., she was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Willie Dobbs.
Surviving are: children, John Whitehead and Ronald Whitehead, both of Anaheim, Calif., Daniel Whitehead, Newton, N.J., James Whitehead and Eric Whitehead, both of Lewistown, Lori Whitehead, San Diego, Calif., Lisa Whitehead, Gadsen, Ala., and Christy Whitehead, at home; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Whitehead, in 1996.
She had been a waitress at Red's Diner, Lewistown, and operated the food concession at Big Valley Auction Center, Reedsville.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Florence Louise Whiteman
Born Nov. 1, 1929, in Alfarata, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Lottie (Bearley) Hartsock. Her husband, John Whiteman Jr., whom she married Oct. 3, 1948, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Joseph (Sherry) Morrow, Newport, Mich., Mrs. Frank (Cindy) Sheaks, Miami, Fla., and John D. Whiteman III, Brooklyn, N.Y.; sisters, Charlotte Rank and Helen Rank, both of Mifflintown; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and, earlier in life, was employed at the Holiday Inn, Burnham.
She was a member of Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. George H. Mark officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Esther L. Whitesel
Born July 4, 1914, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Blanche (Grose) Silks. Her husband, Carl E. Whitesel, whom she married Aug. 29, 1934, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. John (Nancy) Hampton and Mrs. Gary (Carol Ann) Parson, both of Lewistown; stepchildren, Carl Whitesel Jr., Baltimore, Md. and Mrs. Stanley (Mary Margaret) Varner, McAlisterville; sisters and brothers, Alma Sheeler, Berwick, Phyllis Renninger, Camp Hill, Dorothy DeArment, Betty Swank, Robert S. Silks and Joseph Silks, all of Lewistown; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Mona Jean Whitesel; one brother and six sisters, William Silks, Helen Notestine, Marie Smith, Edna Snyder, Charlotte Hockenberry, Jane Miller, and Emma P. Britcher.
She was a homemaker and earlier in life had worked at the American Viscose Corporation for 11 years.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Raymond T. Brinson Jr. officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Margaret I. Whitesel
Born April 14, 1911, in Saulsburg, she was a daughter of the late Verney and Mary Lucinda (Wagner) Peters.
Surviving are: children, Mrs. Thomas (Hulda) Streightiff, Huntingdon, Theodore H. M. Whitesel and Palmer L. Whitesel, both of Middleburg RR3, and Robert C. Whitesel, Silver Springs, Nev.; sister and brother, Ruth Weitzel, Smyrna, Del., and Bob Peters, Petersburg RR1; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Mateer; two brothers, Frank Peters and Herb Peters; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
She attended Saulsburg schools.
She was employed by Ebert's Five and Dime Store, Middleburg, and retired from the Village Square Variety Store, Middleburg.
She was a member of Christ "Hassinger's White" Lutheran Church, Middleburg RR4, was active in Penns Creek Fire Company ladies auxiliary, and was a former member of Middleburg Reliance Hose Company ladies auxiliary.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and cooking.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, with the Rev. George D. Birk officiating. Interment will be in Hassinger's White Church Cemetery, Middleburg RR4.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Lloyd D. Wible
Born Oct. 30, 1909, in Dublin Township, Fulton County, he was the son of the late Rev. Lewis D. and Mary B. (Snyder) Wible.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda Irene (Benner) Wible, who died on April 17, 1987. He is survived by his second wife, Marian Shade Wible of the Locust Grove Retirement Village, HC-67 Mifflin, whom he married in December 1990.
Also surviving are: a son, Richard L. Wible, Thompsontown; step-daughters, Jacqueline Magill, Tonawanda, N.Y., Shirley Weibley, Donnally Mills, Sandra McClure, Port Royal; brothers: Gerald L. Wible, Allentown, Blaine E. Wible, Allentown, Glenn W. Wible, Hollidaysburg, Clyde E. Wible, Levittown, Kenneth L. Wible, Hemet, Calif., Donald R. Wible, Altoona, Samuel H. Wible, Louisville, Ky., Wayne E. Wible, San Jacinto, Calif.; sisters, Naomi G. Brannan, Riverside, Calif., Ruth J. Smith, Johnstown; two granddaughters, 11 step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, and a step-great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis D. Wible Jr. and Ronald J. Wible.
He was a 1926 graduate of Millerstown High School.
He retired in 1972 with 37 years of service to National Cash Register.
He was an active member of Thompsontown United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher, past president of the administrative board, past president of the trustees. He also served as the building committee chairman for the new sanctuary that was built in 1987 after fire destroyed the previous sanctuary.
He was a member of the Tennis Lodge No. 371 F&AM Thompsontown, Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg, Zembo Luncheon Club, Harrisburg Consistory and Tall Cedars No. 88, Juniata Forest, where he was Past Grand Tall.
He was a charter member of the Thompsontown Area Lions Club and was selected by the club as the Outstanding Citizen of Thompsontown. He was a member of the Thompsontown Municipal Authority and had been very active at one time in the Thompsontown Fire Co. and the Thompsontown Ambulance League.
He was a charter member of the Lost Creek Golf Club, Oakland Mills, and had played baseball in the former Perry-Juniata Baseball League.
He enjoyed golfing, gardening and watching sports.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the Thompsontown United Methodist Church, West Main Street, Thompsontown, with the Rev. Maureen A. Wagner and the Rev. Claude R. Baublitz officiating. Interment will be in the Thompsontown Lutheran Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church.

James E. Wilhelm
Born Nov. 12, 1913, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late William E. and Florence Mae (Wetzel) Wilhelm. His wife, Frances Kathryn (Shimp) Wilhelm, died in 1997.
Surviving are: a son, James D. Wilhelm, 200 N. Mann Ave. Ext., Yeagertown; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
He was last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by one sister.
He was a 1931 graduate of Burnham High School.
He was a foreman in Machine Shop 2 at Standard Steel for 40 years, retiring in 1976.
He was Lutheran by faith.
He was a member of the Lewistown Country Club, the Standard Steel Supervisors Association, a life member of the BPO Elks Lodge 663, Lewistown, and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave, Burnham, with the Rev. Kenneth W. Longfield officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Robert L. "Zorro" Williams
Born Dec. 17, 1938, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Samuel C. and Marguerite (Isenhart) Williams.
Surviving are: sons, Robert Lee Williams, 629 Carlisle St., Hanover, and Randy Leroy Williams, 66 Chestnut St., Lewistown; brother and sister, Richard Williams, Locust Street, Lewistown and Mrs. Richard (Marguerite) Bender, Altoona; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Williams.
He was a bus driver for R & S Bus Company.
He was a member of Lewistown Moose Lodge 143.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Danny Neff officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.
