Dr. Stanley Jonas Yoder
BOALSBURG - Dr. Stanley Jonas Yoder, 60, of Boalsburg, died Monday, June 14, 1999, at Penn State-Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born August 13, 1938, in Belleville, he was the son of Katie B. Yoder, Hampstead, Md., formerly of Belleville, and the late Moses A. Yoder. Surviving are: children, Julie B. Yoder, Washington, D.C., and Stanley Phillip Yoder, Bellefonte; brother and sister, Paul T. Yoder, Philipsburg, and Eleanor Derstine, Hampstead, Md.; and two granddaughters. He was a graduate of Menno-Union High School in Belleville. He received his bachelor's degree in natural science from Goshen College, Goshen, Ind., in 1960, and completed medical school at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, in 1964. He was an intern at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He served in the Coast Guard in Alaska in Public Health Service, caring for merchant marine, weather bureau and Federal Aviation Administration employees, as well as the occasional Russian fisherman. In 1968, he returned to Geisinger for an orthopedic residency before joining a practice in Montana. He was board-certified in 1974. He joined a practice in 1978 in State College until 1993, when he became an orthopedic surgeon with University Orthopedics. He was a member of the Boalsburg Heritage Museum, the Memorial Day Committee, University Mennonite Church and Phi Alpha Sigma Medical Fraternity, and was past president of Boalsburg Village Conservancy. He was also a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Eastern Orthopedic Association, Pennsylvania Medical Society, Pennsylvania Orthopedic Association and Center County Medical Society. He was on the staff of Philipsburg Hospital, HealthSouth, Tyrone Hospital and Centre Community Hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting caribou in Canada, elk in Montana, and grizzly bear in Alaska. He was an accomplished wild-game cook. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 109 McAllister Street, State College, with the Rev. David B. Miller, pastor of University Mennonite Church, officiating. Family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday and 6-9 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Susie Z. Yoder
MCCLURE - Susie Z. Yoder, 83, of McClure RR2, formerly of Reedsville, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999. Born Nov. 24, 1915, in Reedsville, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Anna (Zook) Yoder. Her husband, Joseph M. Yoder, whom she married in 1972, died in 1990. Surviving are: a sister, Salome Speicher, with whom she lived; a brother, Joseph C. Yoder, Andover, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the home of Joseph M. Hostetler, Coffee Run Road, Reedsville. Interment will be held in the Green Lane Amish Cemetery, Reedsville. The Aurand Funeral Homes Inc., North Brown Street, McClure, is in charge of arrangements.

William P. Yoder
BELLEVILLE - William P. Yoder, 65, of 44 Laurel Lane, Belleville, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at his home. Born July 16, 1934, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Jacob H. and Saloma A. (Peachey) Yoder. Surviving are: brothers and sisters, Sadie and Lydia A. Yoder, both of Kalona, British Columbia, Canada, Mrs. Roy (Rhoda) Hollinger, Brethren Village, Lancaster, Jefferson D. Yoder, Elverson, Mark S. Yoder, Belleville, Job Yoder, McVeytown, Nicholas Yoder, Christiana, and Mrs. Melvin (Nancy) Stolzfus, Sundree, Alberta, Canada. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond C. Yoder, Cletus J. Yoder and Thomas Yoder. He was a retired custodian. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959, and in the United States Army Corps Reserves from 1959-1963. He attended the Mennonite Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beth-el Mennonite Church, Belleville, with the Rev. Foster R. King and the Rev. Roy L. Yoder officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Mifflin County Division, 501 Howard Ave., Building D-1, Altoona, PA 16601. Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville, is in charge of arrangements.

Hazel Bulick Young
NEW CUMBERLAND - Hazel Bulick Young, 94, of 1815 Willow Road, Lower Allen Township, Camp Hill, died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at her home. Born Aug. 22, 1904, in Allensville, she was the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Welfley) Bulick. She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Young Jr. Surviving are: children, James S. Young III, Middletown, John A. Young, and Helen Y. King, New Cumberland, William J. Young, Mechanicsburg, Dennis F. Young, State College, Joan Heinzelmann, Nashua, NH, Roberta Y. Aumiller, and Pamela K. Ishler, both of Camp Hill; two sisters, Marian B. Dahlen, Belleville and Winona G. Jones, Westville, NJ; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and a member of the Reedsville Lutheran Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Parthemore Funeral Home Inc., 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland, with the Rev. Timothy L. Hoffman officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, 118 Washington St., Harrisburg, PA 17104.

Erma G. Youtzy
LEWISTOWN - Erma G. Youtzy, 84, a resident of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, formerly of McVeytown, died at 10:25 p.m. Monday, April 5, 1999, at the manor. Born July 9, 1914, in Bratton Township, she was the daughter of the late Bruce M. and Alice Mae (Rittenhouse) Renninger. Her husband, Ralph E. Youtzy, whom she married Nov. 26, 1937, died July 13, 1963. Surviving are: sons, Harold P. Youtzy, Orange County, Florida and Gary L. Youtzy, Lewistown; sister and brothers, Blanche Bilger, Lewistown, Edward Renninger, McVeytown, and Donald Renninger, Beavertown; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Freeda Thompson, and two brothers, David Renninger and Russell Renninger. Early in life, she worked for the American Viscose Corporation and then for the Arrow Shirt Factory, retiring in 1977 after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, the Work and Win Sunday School Class, and the McVeytown Senior Citizens Center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Donald E. Peters Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown. Grace Eva Adams
LEWISTOWN - Grace Eva Adams, 91, a resident of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, formerly of Reedsville, died at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at the nursing home. Born March 21, 1909, in Perry County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Preston and Charlotte (Bealor) Lesh. Her husband, David S. Adams, died in 1981. Surviving are: a son, David L. Adams, 212 Woodland Circle, Reedsville; sister and brother, Hulda Zinn, Lewistown and George Lesh, Dauphin; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Earlier in life, she worked at the American Viscose Corporation, Lewistown. She was a member of East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church, Reedsville. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville. There will be no viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to: Ohesson Manor, 276 Green Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Helen E. Ruble Agostinelli
UPPER CHICHESTER - Helen E. Ruble Agostinelli, 79, of the Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester, formerly of Chester and Milroy, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Middletown. Born March 4, 1921, in Milroy, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Shunk) Ruble. Her husband, Dominic R. Agostinelli, died in 1989. Surviving are: sons, Herbert Riley of Eddystone and Gary Riley of Brookhaven; a daughter, Marcia Jane Bair of Bellefonte; a brother, Homer Ruble of Milroy; a companion, Thomas Legg of Upper Chichester; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert, Robert, Glenn, and Cloyd E. Ruble. She was educated in Milroy schools. She was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Services were held at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 2316 Providence Ave., Chester. Burial was in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood. Memorial contributions may be made to: Boothwyn Fire Co., 1405 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, PA 19061.

Joe W. Amick
JOHNSTOWN - Joe W. Amick, 81, of Johnstown, died Monday, July 10, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 12, 1918 in Bedford County, he was a son of the late Warren C. and Laura H. (Diehl) Amick. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laferne "Fern" (Mickel) Amick, and by his second wife, Rose (Beneigh) Amick. Surviving are: a daughter; Mrs. Clarence E. (Judy A.) Keiper, Johnstown, step-children; Darlene Purpiglio, Connie Schwab and Judy Beneigh, all of Johnstown, a brother; John M. Amick, Reedsville, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and special friend; Merva Kleps and her children, all of Johnstown. She was preceded in death by a sister Mary, and brothers, Harry and Fred. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He retired as an assistant engineer at Blast Furnace, Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a member of the American Legion Everett Post No. 0008, and a member of VFW Menoher Post No. 155. Services were held Thursday, July 13, 2000 at Harris Funeral Home, Richland, with the Rev. Henry Morris officiating. Interment was in Fishertown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, 555 Grant St., Suite 425, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
