Robert W. Weber, 78, of Cherry Valley, passed away Saturday morning, March 21, at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Alma M (Detrick) Weber with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
Born on October 15, 1936 at home in Appenzell, he was a son of the late Ralph E. and Lillian (VanAuken) Weber and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army having served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He also served in the National Guard, and had a military career that spanned almost 38 years.
He was a member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church in Hamilton Square.
You could always find Robert on his beloved pond. He enjoyed going for a ride and out to eat..
In addition to his wife he is survived by son, Todd M. Weber and his wife, Shirley of Snydersville; two grandchildren, Krista Paquette and her husband, TJ, and Kyle Laudenbach; great-granddaughter, Alana Paquette; two sisters, Rebecca Decker and Jane Miller; two brothers, George Weber and his wife, Shirley and Edgar Weber and his wife, Shirley; two sisters-in-law, Pat Staniszewski and her companion, Stanley Stalmer and Sandra Lockard and her husband, Doug; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kimberly Sue Weber; a brother, Ralph Weber, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Larry Detrick.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 28, at Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church, 378 Bossardsville Road (in the Village of Hamilton Square), Stroudsburg, with Rev. Brett Jenkins officiating. Cremation was private.

Mary M. Kirk
(February 13, 1923 - March 20, 2015)
Mary M. Kirk, 92, of East Stroudsburg, died early Friday morning, March 20, at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bangor. She was the widow of John Frank Kirk who died October 18, 1999.
Born on February 13, 1923 in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Geneva (Ruth) Wallace and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
She was a Stroudsburg High School graduate and worked as a secretary for the Bureau of Employment Security.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg.
Mary is survived by a son-in-law, John L. Ricci of Hixson, TN; four grandchildren, Jane M. Ricci of Silver Spring, MD, Kay F. Ricci of Silver Spring, MD, John P. Ricci of San Antonio, TX and David K. Ricci of Pensacola, FL; two great grandchildren, Anja Steinhart and Nicholas Steinhart; a niece, Joan McGrath of Poughkeepsie, NY; a nephew, Dale Kirk of East Stroudsbug; and a great nephew, Michael McGrath of New York. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane K. Ricci.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 24, at Stroudsburg Cemetery. There will be no viewing.

James R. Tumulty
(August 6, 1934 - March 18, 2015)

James R. Tumulty, 80, of Cresco, died early Wednesday morning, March 18, at Westminster Village in Allentown. He was the husband of Agnes M. (Craig) Tumulty with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Born on August 6, 1934 in Jeffersonville, IN, he was a son of the late Charles and Jane (Moore) Tumulty and has lived in Monroe County for the past 20 years, moving from Bayonne, NJ.
He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Airforce. He worked at Western Union and then Exxon from where he retired in 1996. After retiring he worked on the golf course at Skytop.
James was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and was also a member of Evans-Blitz Post 922 American Legion.
In additon to his wife he is survived by two children, Deborah Lintvedt and her fiancé, Charles Lorah of Northampton and James Tumulty and his wife Paula of Murray Hill, NJ; five grandchildren, Melissa Parham and her husband John, Allison Lintvedt, Carly Lintvedt, Abby Tumulty; Ian Tumulty; three great-granddaughters, Olivia Parham, Madeleine Parham, Eloise Parham; and a sister, Patricia Donnelly of Sayreville, NJ. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Peter Lintvedt, and three siblings, Jane Egerton, Charles Tumulty and Donald Tumulty.
Viewing will be from 2:30 to 5:30PM on Sunday, March 22, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM Monday, March 23, at St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church in Canadensis, with Rev. Gregory Loughney as celebrant. Private cremation will follow with burial at a later date in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery in Wrightsville, NJ.

Anna Marie "Nancy" Cappa
(April 5, 1946 - March 17, 2015)
Anna Marie "Nancy" Cappa, 68, of Marshalls Creek, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Pocono Medical Center on Tuesday, March 17th. She was the wife of Daniel P. Cappa with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.
Born on April 5, 1946 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Anna F. (Groarke) McCullough and lived in Marshalls Creek since 1972.
She was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Nancy was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Marshalls Creek.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Dan J. Cappa and Joseph Cappa and his wife Donna; four granddaughters, Joey, Emma, Evy and Lacey Cappa; a brother, Pat McCullough and his wife Eileen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tom McCullough.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30PM Friday, March 20, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 5171 Milford Road (village of Marshalls Creek), East Stroudsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30PM at the church with Rev. Jeffrey Walsh as celebrant. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg..
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Mary Wisniewski
(August 7, 1913 - March 16, 2015)
Mary (McKitish) Wisniewski, 101, of Marshalls Creek, entered into eternal life on Monday afternoon, March 16, at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg.
Born in Duryea, on August 7th, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Sulach) McKitish of Pittston.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Frank Wisniewski who passed away in 1983.
Before retiring, Mary worked as a seamstress for 47 years at Melrose Tie Co., Bayonne NJ. After moving to PA she was employed at Howard Johnson Motor Lodge in Delaware Water Gap, PA.
Mary is survived by her son, Leonard and his wife, Helen Wisniewski of Finksburg, MD and her daughter, Irene and her husband, Thomas Magda of Marshalls Creek; sisters, Helen Billack and Elizabeth Fedorocsko both of Bayonne, NJ; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Alexander, John and George all of Pittston, Michael of Trenton, NJ, and Stephen of Duryea; and sisters, Anne Kobi of Pittston and Margaret Joseph of Duryea.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM, Monday, March 23, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg with Rev. Carmen Perry as celebrant. Private cremation will follow. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery in Pittston. There will be no viewing.
We would like to thank the Nurses and Nurse’s Aides of VNA Hospice Home Healthcare who provided loving care for Mary at home, especially Darlene, Debbie, Grace and Linda as well as the Nurses, Nurse’s Aides and staff who cared for her at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg, in the final days of her life.
