James “Jim” Francis Doyle, of East Stroudsburg, unexpectedly passed away on August 20, 2015. He was born in Montclair, NJ, son of the late John T. and Ann K. (Brennan) Doyle of West Orange, NJ.
Jim is survived by his wife Louise, daughter Stephanie Saporita and her husband Fred of Jacksonville, FL, son John Doyle and his wife Tara of East Stroudsburg, sister Carol Ann Howard and her husband Bruce of Annapolis, MD, grandchildren Matthew Doyle, Vidalia Belfiore, Vinzent Doyle, Frederick Saporita, Jozalynn Doyle, Chloe Doyle, Bella Doyle, and Anthony Saporita, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, John “Jack” Doyle, and sister-in-law Leslie Doyle.
Jim worked at UPS for 42 years prior to retirement. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He had a passion for life and always made friends with everyone he met. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of Teamsters Union Local 177, Knights of Columbus Council 11434, VFW Post 2540, and St. Matthew’s Catholic Church where he spent many years volunteering his time alongside his children. He was a generous and loving individual who will be missed by all.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, at William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street in Stroudsburg. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Friday, August 28, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The March of Dimes.
William J. Stallard
(December 3, 1980 - August 17, 2015)
William J. Stallard, 34, of Stroud Township, died Monday, August 17, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Brenda Crane with whom he shared six years of marriage.
Born on December 3, 1980 in Big Stone Gap, VA, he was the son of William Stapleton of Rockwood, MI and the late Lisa Stallard.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by six children, Tyler Hardy, William Hardy, Caitline Crane, Taylor Crane, Kendell Crane and Lisa Stallard; two grandchildren, Austin and Izabella Hardy; grandmother, Ann Stallard; step-father, Johnny Cress; parents-in-law, Edie Ellis and Ed VanWhy; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Stallard.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
Lawrence R. Banks III
(October 20, 1957 - August 17, 2015)
Lawrence R. Banks III, 57, of Stroudsburg, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 17th. He was the husband of Carolyn (Lockett) Banks.
Born on October 20, 1957 in Teaneck, NJ, he was the son of the late Lawrence R. Jr. and Lois (Williams) Banks, and lived in Monroe County since 1991 moving from Brooklyn, NY.
He was director of administration and car equipment for the New York Transit Authority.
Lawrence was an avid member, volunteer, and the drummer of the Community Church in Tobyhanna.
In addition to his wife, surviving are a daughter, Ciara Banks; sister, Licia Banks; niece, Taj Chrisp; his adopted family, Geoff Marks (Amy), Cathy Yamamoto (Roger), Andy Marks (Maria) and Brian Marks (Kathy) ; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Viewing will begin at 9:30AM followed by the funeral service at 10:30AM on Saturday, August 22, at Community Church, 1050 Memorial Blvd., Tobyhanna. Pastor David Crosby will officiate. Private cremation will take place following the service.
Michael J. Campea

Michael J. Campea, 67, of Bushkill, died Monday, August 17th.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Thursday, August 20, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM Friday, August 21, at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg, with Rev. Carmen Perry as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mountain Laurel Mausoleum (Laurelwood Cemetery) in Stroudsburg.
Ureneus Kirkwood
(October 28, 1926 - August 5, 2015)
Ureneus Kirkwood, 88 of Aldan, formerly of Tobyhanna, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015. She was the loving wife of the late Alvin Kirkwood for nearly 66 years.
She was born and raised in Winfield, Maryland. Ureneus was a graduate of Robert Moton High School in 1943. Later, she attended Morgan State University for undergrad and Temple University for her graduate degree. Ureneus started her career, as a teacher, in Carroll County, Maryland in a junior high school. When Ureneus moved to the Pocono Mountains she continued teaching with the Pocono Mountain School District.
As an educator she had a deep passion for teaching the hundreds of children that touched her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister; she enjoyed quilting, teaching and spending time with loved ones.
Ureneus was an active member of the Tobyhanna United Methodist Church.
Even during retirement Ureneus kept herself very busy as state president of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR) as she traveled back and forth around Pennsylvania visiting different local chapters and conventions.
Surviving are her loving children Gary D. Kirkwood, of East Stroudsburg; her daughter, Cynthia K. Gary, of Aldan; Sister Martha "Sally" Greene of Westminster, Maryland; two granddaughters, Nicole of Mount Laurel, New Jersey and Brandi (Seinna) of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend a public visitation on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Tobyhanna United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tobyhanna United Methodist Church, 538 Main St. Tobyhanna, PA 18466 with Rev. Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst for close friends and family.

Margaret M. Frisbie
(June 16, 1956 - August 10, 2015)
Margaret M. Frisbie, 59, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Monday, August 10, in the Mid Valley Health Care Center, Peckville.
Born on June 16, 1956 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Norman Earl and Cordelia (Rine) Frisbie and had lived in Stroudsburg all of her life. She was an office worker for the WICK Program and also taught piano and voice.
She was active in the Church of Latter Day Saints in Stroudsburg where she played the organ; and was a girl scout leader for twelve years.
Margaret is survived by a daughter, Amy S. Cabrera and her husband, Daniel of Peckville; grandchildren, Tanner Cabrera, Logan Cabrera, and Kasen Cabrera; a brother, Jeffrey Frisbie and his wife, Linda of Canadensis; step brother, John M. Frisbie of Saylorsburg; and nieces and nephews, Christopher, Amanda, Shelly, Susan, Jason, and Jonathan.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, August 13, from 4-6:00pm in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Friday, August 14 at 10:00am in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
