Robert "Pops" A. Jarvis, 71, of Bushkill, died Friday morning, June 12, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg.
Born on July 17, 1943 in Manhattan, NY, he was a son of the late Allan and Louise (Brown) Jarvis and lived in Pike County since 1988, moving from Florida.
He was a longtime employee, friend and co-worker at Pocmont resort where he worked as a waiter from 1988 to 2009.
Robert enjoyed trips to New York City; relaxing on the beach in Florida; and loved his cats and yoga.
He was a great friend to many and leaves behind all his friends and "family" from his years at Pocmont and in the Bushkill area.
Cremation will be private and there will be no services.

Harold "Poppa" Kresge
(January 22, 1935 - June 15, 2015)
Harold H. "Poppa" Kresge, 80, of Reeders, died Monday morning, June 15, at Pocono Health System Hospice House in East Stroudsburg.
Born on January 22, 1935 in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Charles and Caroline (Coneskey) Kresge. He was a lifetime resident of Jackson Township, having lived in the family home since the passing of his parents.
He and his daughter, Wendy, owned and operated Floral Horizons in Reeders. He also drove tractor trailer for much of his life and loved to tell tales of his adventures. Harold was like a human atlas, always having a suggestion for the perfect drive.
Two of his proudest accomplishments were serving in the Army National Guard and being named "International King" of TOPS weight loss organization after losing 185 pounds. Harold was incredibly knowledgeable in many facets of life and was always generous to those around him.
He is survived by a large extended family including his partner in life and true love, Emily Strausser; daughter, Kyra Strausser; six step-children, Meghan, Kim, Paul, Louise, Ed and Paul; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Adrian, KC, Ashley, Ricky, Gunner, Kyle and CJ; two great grandchildren, Emily and Zachary; a brother, Brian Green; and five nieces. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Kresge in 2008 and three siblings, Raymond Kresge, Willard Kresge and Charlotte (Kresge) Biondo.
A celebration of life will begin at noon on Saturday, June 20, at his family home in Reeders. Cremation was private.

Robert D. Hilbert
(May 29, 1963 - June 16, 2015)
Robert D. Hilbert, 52, of East Stroudsburg, died Tuesday, June 16, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg.
Born on May 29, 1963 in East Stroudsburg he was a son of Patricia (Beaver) Hilbert of East Stroudsburg and the late Richard G. "Whitey" Hilbert who died June 12, 2008.
He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County and was a self-employed painter.
Robert was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1336 and formerly worked as a chef in the area.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Dylan Robert Hilbert of East Stroudsburg; three sisters, Wendy Marsh and her husband Stewart of East Stroudsburg, Deborah Carey of East Stroudsburg, and Judy Palmer and her husband Scott of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Richard G. Hilbert, Jr. and his wife Annette of East Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will begin at 11:00AM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM on Friday, June 19, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The Rev. Dr. John Harding will officiate. Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
Gail I. Vanderhoof
(December 27, 1950 - June 16, 2015)
Gail I. Vanderhoof, 64, of East Stroudsburg, died Tuesday morning, June 16, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Paul M. Vanderhoof with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.
Born on December 27, 1950 in Kearny, NJ, she was the daughter of Irene Sharples of Woodlands, TX and the late Wesley Sharples.
She lived in Monroe County for the past 13 years moving from New Jersey.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three children, Michael, Cristina and Aimee; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Jeff, Ken and Rich Sharples; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 2:00 to 3:30PM on Sunday, June 21, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, June 22, at First Presbyterian Church of Whippany, 494 Route 10, Whippany, NJ. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical expenses.
Leslie J. "Les" Doll
(May 10, 1929 - June 17, 2015)
Leslie J. "Les" Doll, 86, of Tannersville, died Wednesday afternoon, June 17, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Grace M. (Stettler) Doll with whom he shared 65 years of marriage on May 10th.
Born on May 10, 1929 at home in Tannersville, he was the son of the late Samuel and Keturah (Heckman) Doll.
He was a lifetime resident of Tannersville and served in the National Guard during the Korean War.
Les worked for Fowler and Williams, Plymouth Rock Trucking, Besecker Excavating and Pocono Mountain School District.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1106 in Stroud Township, Loyal Order of Moose #1336 in East Stroudsburg and Grace United Church of Christ in Tannersville.
He was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed playing cards, hunting and taking care of his family and lawn. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Maltese of Long Pond and Renee Kinsella and her husband Rory of Manhattan, NY; three grandchildren, Finnean, Rory and Charlotte Kinsella; a niece, Yvonne Dailey; and two nephews, John and Terry Klingel. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Leola Mae Doll and Shirley E. Klingel.
Visitation will begin at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM on Monday, June 22, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The Rev. William "Biff" Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery.

Thomas A. Hamill
(July 25, 1929 - July 13, 2015)
Thomas A. Hamill, 85, of Pocono Pines, died Monday morning, July 13, at the Pocono Health System Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Mary A. (Keiper) Hamill with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Born on July 25, 1929 in East Stroudsburg, he was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
He worked as a machinist for J.A. Reinhardt in Mountainhome for 37 years.
Tom was a member of the Pocono Lake United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company and the Tobyhanna Township Ambulance Corps.
In addition to his wife, surviving are three children, Bonnie Sofranek and her husband Frank of Saylorsburg, Greg Hamill and his wife Heidi of Blakeslee, and Akemi Benton of State College; six grandchildren, Tawnya Vollweiler, Tara Sofranek, Frank T. Sofranek, Cheyne Hamill, Keetly Hamill and Lauren Benton; three great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Gary L. Hamill; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Fluffy, Spank and Nicki. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Blanche (Reimel) Hamill; his step-mother, Molly Hamill; two brothers, George Merritt Hamill and Robert Hamill; and a sister, Rhoda Cramer.
Private services will take place at the convenience of the family.
