Although expected to finish school at the 8th grade, June convinced her parents to allow her to pay her own expenses and complete high school. June graduated from East Stroudsburg High School (now J.M. Hill Elementary) in 1945.
By that time, June had met her future husband, Milton R. Possinger. They marriage on Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve), 1946. Beyond that, June found time to express her individual talents: knitting, crocheting, and ceramics; producing beautiful, useful and decorative items that are still treasured. Square dancing was also something June and Milton shared, enjoyed and indulged in together.
