Linda Jo Lambert, 77, of Stroudsburg, PA, passed away on November 26, 2015 surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 25, 1938 to Garland W. and Emmabelle (Gouter) Robinson. She was marriage on January 21st, 1957 to Gerald W. "Jerry" Lambert who survives. Also surviving are her children, Michael D. (Patti) Lambert of Massachusetts, Jennifer L. (Jacob) Troost of Palmerton, Christopher A. (Tracey) Lambert of East Stroudsburg and Matthew J. Lambert of Stroudsburg. She leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Jared, Talia, Emma, Lindsay and Jerry; her brother, Robert (Mary) Robinson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, A. Lee Ritchie.
Linda was a graduate and proud member of the class of 1956 of Orrville High School. She then went on to Akron General Medical Center School of Nursing, earned a BS in nursing from the University of Akron and her Masters from Pace University. She continued her doctoral work at Weidner University and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Society of nursing. She retired as professor emeritus of nursing from East Stroudsburg University.
Retirement allowed Jo to pursue the things she truly loved. Reading, gardening, trips to the shore, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband were the true joys of her life.
A remembrance gathering with the family will be held from 2:00 to 4:00PM on Saturday, December 5th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg.

Marvin C. VanBuskirk
(September 8, 1945 - November 23, 2015)
Marvin C. VanBuskirk, Sr., 70, of East Stroudsburg, died Monday morning, November 23, 2015 while under hospice care at home.
Born on September 8, 1945 in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Ira and Alice (Strouse) VanBuskirk and lived in Monroe County for most of his life.
He worked as a carpenter, carpet layer, metal worker, baker and in maintenance at Fernwood Resort.
Marvin was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1336 and a life member of the CLU Club.
He enjoyed playing BINGO and gambling at Mt. Airy Casino and in Atlantic City.
Surviving are his significant other of 32 years, Mary Lou Treible; a son, Marvin C. VanBuskirk, Jr. of Newport News, VA; two daughters, Mary Beth LaBar and Laura Clewell both of East Stroudsburg; a brother, Bill VanBuskirk of Virginia; a sister, Shirley Lindner of Moscow; nine grandchildren, Thomas VanBuskirk and Sarah VanBuskirk both of Mississippi, Aileen VanBuskirk and Jacqueline VanBuskirk both of Germany, and Steven Sandt, Zachary Bankes, Joshua Bankes, Allison Torrey and Aleah Torrey all of East Stroudsburg; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly VanBuskirk; several brothers and sisters; and a great grandchild.
As per his wishes, cremation will be private and there will be no services.

Kathryn F. "Kay" Widdoss Smith

Kathryn F. "Kay" (Keiper) Widdoss Smith, 81, of Stroud Township, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 18, 2015, at Praxis Alzheimer's Facility in Easton. She was the wife of Waldron H. Smith, at home.
Born on June 6, 1934 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Rodger A. and Helen L. (VanHorn) Keiper and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
Kathryn worked in the garment industry for many years and then as a bank messenger at First National Bank of Palmerton in Tannersville.
She attended the Presbyterian Church of the Mountain in Delaware Water Gap and was a member of East Stroudsburg Neighborhood Crime Watch.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Donna Marie LaBar and her husband Martin of East Stroudsburg, Doris Ann Wolfe of Swiftwater, and Dinah Lee Fabel of Bartonsville; a son, Richard Clair Widdoss, Jr. and his wife Justine of East Stroudsburg; two brothers, Clyde Keiper of Saylorsburg and Ronald Keiper of Stroudsburg; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; a great great grandson; two step-daughters, Linda A. Kaufman and her husband Ed and Joy M. Titman and her husband Tom; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard C. Widdoss, Sr.; a sister, Lulu Dickison; and three brothers, Rodger Keiper, Jr., Walter Keiper, and Marcel Keiper.
Viewing will begin at noon followed by the funeral service at 1:30PM on Tuesday, November 24, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The Rev. Sherry Blackman will officiate. Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery.

Michael J. Pensock
(June 29, 1953 - November 10, 2015)
Michael J. Pensock, 62, of Forks Township, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Arnold) Pensock. They were together 40 years and celebrated 29 years of marriage on August 16th.
Born on June 29, 1953 in Somerville, NJ, he was the son of the late Michael and Frances (Gurzenda) Pensock.
He graduated from Bridgewater High School East and received a Landscape Architecture degree from Rutgers University. In his early years, Mike worked in the landscape department at LaBar's Nursery in Stroudsburg and then was a groundskeeper for New Providence Board of Education in New Providence, NJ for 30 years.
In addition to his wife, surviving are a step-daughter, Sandra Kemmerer and her husband Harald; a grandson, Ryan Seiple; a sister, Karen Tysinger and her husband Robert; a niece, Jessica Kleiderman and her husband Dave Seoane, and a nephew, Andrew Tysinger.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, November 21, at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg, with Rev. Candy LaBar officiating. Cremation was private.

Kyle J. Baabe
(September 23, 1986 - September 30, 2015)
Kyle J. Baabe, 29, of Stroudsburg, died Wednesday, September 30th.
Born on September 23, 1986 in East Stroudsburg, he was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
He was a tattoo artist and worked at Moving Pictures in Marshalls Creek. He and his friends Shawn and Jay enjoyed making electronic music together.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Wendy L. Baabe of Stroudsburg; grandfather, John T. Baabe of Stroudsburg; aunt, Deborah Burns of Bartonsville; a cousin, Michelle Butz Hillyerd of Pamplico, SC and her children, Amanda Lynn, John "Squirrel" and Joseph Brian Hillyerd.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 28, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clark Funeral Home to help defray expenses.
Lea Zubow Katz
(November 4, 1919 - December 24, 2015)
Lea Zubow Katz December 24, 2015 Lea Zubow Katz, 96, formerly of Stroudsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at North Fulton Hospital in Atlanta. She was the widow of Seymour Katz, who died Sept. 8, 2006. After her husband passed away, Lea moved to Georgia to be near her daughter and resided at Freedom Pointe/Brookdale Assisted Living.
Born on Nov. 4, 1919, in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Esther (Silberstein) Zubow and lived in Monroe County since 1928. She was a graduate of Stroudsburg High School Class of 1939 and attended East Stroudsburg University.
She owned and operated Lea Z. Katz Fine Antiques in Snydersville. Lea was a member of Temple Israel of the Poconos, Womens' Club of the Stroudsburgs, Order of Eastern Star, Temple Israel Sisterhood and Hadassah. Lea founded the local chapter of Deborah Heart & Lung Association.
Surviving are two daughters, Caron Sue Manley of Marietta, Georgia, and Bonnie Ann Levin of Gambrills, Maryland; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Zubow, on Jan. 28, 2015 and a great-grandson, Evan Nicholas Manley, on Sept. 5, 2013.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, at Temple Israel, 711 Wallace St., Stroudsburg. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg. Shiva will be observed at the family home in Stroudsburg.
