Frances M. Smith, 93, of East Stroudsburg, died Sunday afternoon, June 12, 2016 at Spring Village at Pocono, where she was a resident. She was the widow of David F. Smith with whom she shared 64 years of marriage at the time of his death on April 22, 2010.
Born on July 1, 1922 in Howard, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Johnson) Harvey.
She worked in the cafeteria at East Stroudsburg High School until retiring in 1985 after 23 years of service.
Frances was a member of East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing and bird watching.
Surviving are two daughters, Lorraine Beaver and her husband, William of Brick, NJ and Cathy Shoemaker and her husband, Gregory of East Stroudsburg; six grandchildren, Kimberly Lombardi of Mt. Bethel, David Beaver of Brick, NJ, Kristin Katsafados of Brick, NJ, Tami Treantafelo of Kunkletown, Kyle Beaver of Lacey, NJ and Brandon Shoemaker of East Stroudsburg; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Harvey of Bellefonte; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barrie Elaine Fish; two brothers, Harris and Lewis Harvey; and two sisters, Mary and Helen Harvey.
Viewing will be from 5:00 to 7:00PM on Tuesday, June 14, at William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at noon Wednesday, June 15, at East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 87 South Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg with Rev. James Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Spring Village at Pocono for their care and concern they gave to Frances during her time there.

Fay E. Lehr

Fay Ellen Lehr of Delaware Water Gap, died June 11th, 2016 while under hospice care in her home. She was the widow of Robert Lehr.
Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Melita (MacGlashen) Murphy.
In Boston she worked as a bank teller and bookkeeper. She moved to Delaware Water Gap with her late husband where they purchased the Deer Head Inn. With a passion for music, they converted the bar into the Home of Jazz in the Poconos, creating a mecca for jazz musicians in the Gap. They owned and operated the Deer Head Inn from 1950 to 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Dona Solliday and her husband, Christopher of Easton; two granddaughters, Lauren Chamberlain of Delaware Water Gap, Fiona Solliday and her fiancé Benjamin Caggiano of Portland, OR; and a great granddaughter, Rosalind Caggiano.
The family will hold a private visitation.
Eleanor Ruth May
(February 26, 1923 - June 10, 2016)
Eleanor Ruth (Thomas) May, 93, a resident of Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth and formerly of Cherry Valley, died Friday Morning, June 10, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem. She was the widow of Charles E. May with whom she shared 67 years of marriage until his death on July 7, 2012.
Born on February 26, 1923 in Reading, she was a daughter to the late H. Dale and Marguerite (Weaver) Thomas.
Living a life of faith, she enjoyed attending a variety of local churches in her lifetime as well as studying the bible. That same faith inspired her to touch the lives of many over the years through letters, visits and phone calls.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a son, John Allan May; three sisters, Marguerite Schleicher, Mary Ellen Benner and Patricia Hollingsworth; and two brothers, Edwin Thomas and David Thomas.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm, Monday, June 20th, at Moravian Hall Square (in Kortz Hall), 175 W. North Street, Nazareth. Private burial will take place along side of her husband and son at Tannersville Union Cemetery.
Ruth was a proud descendant of David Thomas of Catasauqua, who has been called the father of the Industrial Revolution in America, and was also the founder of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua. John R. Flick

John R. Flick, 79, of Tannersville, passed away Thursday evening, June 9, at Golden Living Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Shirlee (Untereiner) Flick with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.
Born on March 10, 1937 in Warren, he was a son to the late Robert and Mary (Betty) Flick and lived in Monroe County for the past 28 years..
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. John worked for Steris Company in Erie installing hospital equipment.
He was a member of the Moose, American Legion and Elks clubs all in Warren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four sisters and a brother. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Cathy Kelly.
There will be no services and private entombment will take place at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.

Evelyn E. Dickson

Evelyn E. Dickson, 85, formerly of Stroudsburg, died Monday, May 9, 2016, at Gracedale in Nazareth.
Born on September 22, 1930 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Milton Nelson and Helen (Levak) McGregor, and lived in Monroe County since 1998.
She was a licensed practical nurse and in her early years worked at Mountainside Hospital in Glenside, NJ. Later she was a platform worker for First Fidelity Bank in Westfield, NJ.
Evelyn was a sacrificial and loving Mom and Grammy who had a singing voice from Heaven. Her confidence in Jesus was beautifully shared by her.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Bentzoni of Bangor; two grandchildren, Gabbee Bentzoni of Bangor and Ricky Bentzoni of Nazareth; and former husband, James R. Dickson of Bangor.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM Friday, May 13, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.

Theresa L. Camardi, 49, of Stroudsburg, died Monday, May 9, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. She was the wife of Richard Camardi, Sr..
Born on July 11, 1966 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of Joseph and Dorothea (Pinto) Moschella of Staten Island, NY.
She lived in Monroe County for the past 21 years and was a member of Christian Life Assembly in Stroudsburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, surviving are two children, Richard Camardi, Jr. at home and Krystal Camardi of East Stroudsburg; two beautiful granddaughters, Jayla Iyana Lane amd Vanessa Joy Lane; and a sister, Elizabeth Afflitto of Staten Island, NY.
Viewing hours will be from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00PM on Saturday, May 14, and 5:00 to 7:00PM on Sunday, May 15, at Christian Life Assembly 2209 West Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 10:00AM on Monday, May 16, at the church with Pastor Craig Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for an education fund for Richard, Jr..
