Shirley A. LaBar, 81, of East Stroudsburg, died Monday evening, May 8, 2017, at Manor Care in Easton. She was the widow of William LaBar.
Born on September 1, 1935 in Millville, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Herschel and Doris (Hands) Scott and lived in Monroe County for most of her life.
She worked as a housekeeper at local resorts.
Surviving are three sisters, Carol Leaming of Cape May, NJ, Terry Sheldon of Port Norris, NJ and Marion Russo of Clermont, FL; a brother, Buddy Hands of Grape Vine, TX; nieces and nephews; and her Avon Court family and friends including Peggy and Richard Coyne, Rusty Possinger, Glendora Decker, Ruthann Gromadin and Dottie Doll.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Russell A. Pfeifer

Russell A. Pfeifer, 90, of Brodheadsville, died Friday morning, May 12, 2017, while under hospice care in his home. He was the husband of Lorraine V. (Seaman) Pfeifer with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
Born on September 18, 1926 in Queens, NY he was a son of the late Albert and Emma (Marten) Pfeifer and previously lived in Baldwin, Long Island, NY before moving to Monroe County.
Russ served in the United States Navy; was a New York City Police Officer for 27 years; and also worked at the United States Post Office for ten years.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tannersville.
In addition to his wife, surviving are four children, Susan Pfeifer of White Plains, NY, Nancy Rance and husband Andrew of Cresco, Russell Pfeifer and wife Carol of New Jersey, and Jeffrey Pfeifer of Pocono Pines; eight grandchildren, Megan Cameron, Mollie Rance, Kelsey Smoker, Andrew Rance, Russell Pfeifer, Gregory Pfeifer, Yan Pfeifer and Ben Rance; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Mackenzie Cameron; and a brother, Robert Pfeifer of Jamesport, NY. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Christine Nancy Pfeifer.
Viewing will begin at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 16, at Zion United Lutheran Church, 1919 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Rev. E. Ann Melot and Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Richards, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Zion United Lutheran Church.
Debrah L. Picciotti
(December 30, 1953 - May 18, 2017)
Debrah L. Picciotti, 63, of East Stroudsburg, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, upon arrival at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono in East Stroudsburg, after being stricken at home. She was the wife of Theodore M. Picciotti with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage last July.
Born on December 30, 1953 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of Eleanor (Albert) Deiter of East Stroudsburg and the late Leon C. Deiter. She was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and lived in Monroe County for most of her life.
In her early years she was a legal secretary for Miss Mims in Bucks County and then worked in the cafeteria at J.T. Lambert School in East Stroudburg from where she retired in 2009.
Debbie enjoyed geneology and visiting Lancaster County; and loved spending time with her granddaughter.
In addition to her husband and mother, surviving are a daughter, Jessica Picciotti (Walter Pavolick) of East Stroudsburg, granddaughter, Hannah Gardner of East Stroudsburg; four sisters, Donna Hulihan and husband Earl of Bangor, Diane Rehm and husband Michael of Millville, Dora Arnold and husband Douglas of Brodheadsville and Denise Sargent and husband James of Stroudsburg; two brothers, Leon Deiter and wife Donna of Easton and Lee Deiter and wife Cynthia of East Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 7:00PM with the funeral service beginning at 7:00PM on Monday, May 22, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Private cremation will follow.
Grace D. Garito
(January 21, 1920 - June 1, 2017)
Grace D. Garito, 97, of Swiftwater, died Thursday afternoon, June 1, 2017, at Easton Hospital. She was the widow of Dominick V. Garito with whom she shared 63 years of marriage at the time of his death on June 23, 2010.
Born on January 21, 1920 in Ridgefield Park, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Spinoso) Garofalow and lived in Monroe County since 1983 moving from Ramsey, NJ.
She was an executive secretary for the Ramsey Board of Education until retiring in 1980.
Grace was a former member and Past President of the VFW Post 682 Auxiliary in Ramsey, NJ; and along with her late husband was a member of St. Paul's Seniors in Tannersville. She was a Catholic and attended Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church in Tannersville.
She enjoyed crafts and used to own and operate a craft shop.
Surviving are two sons, James S. Garito, Sr. and wife Nancy of Whiting, NJ and Thomas M. Garito of Flag Staff, AZ; three grandchildren, James S. Garito, Jr. and wife Kristy, Christina Hashway and husband Thomas and Theresa Rogers and husband Ty Daniel; six great grandchildren, TJ Rogers, Matthew Garito, Zachary Garito, Michael Betinno, Abagail Rogers and Skylar Ray Hashway; two sisters, Marie Hilpert of Teaneck, NJ and Victoria Sullivan of Netcong, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred, William, Frank and Donald Garofalow; two sisters, Anna Smith and Rose Garofalow; a daughter in law, Peggy Ann Garito; and a great grandson, Anthony James Garito.
Private viewing and services will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Earl J. Zuellig

Earl J. Zuellig, 82, a resident of Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township, died Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Deborah (Lockwitch) Zuellig.
Born on April 15, 1935 in LaPorte, IN, he was a son of the late Carl and Sophia (Clark) Zuellig and lived in Monroe County for over 25 years.
Earl served in the United States Army and worked for Johnson & Johnson in New Jersey until retirement.
He was a life member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert, VFW Post 3117 in Edison, NJ and VFW Post 294 in Albrightsville; and was also a former member of the Jackson Township Fire Company.
He is survived by several children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother.
Graveside services with military honors will begin at 11:00am Thursday, June 8, at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company, American Legion or VFW.
Maxine T. Davidson

Maxine T. Davidson, 72, of Hamilton Township, died Wednesday evening, June 7, 2017, in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of Elwood E. Davidson with whom she shared 53 years of marriage on May 16th.
Born on November 7, 1944 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Max and Thelma (O'Brien) Lukens and lived in Monroe County since 1964.
She enjoyed helping with Masonic dinners and spending time with her grandkids.
In addition to her loving husband, surviving are three daughters, Karen Trbuza and husband Steve, Kim Lyon and husband, Todd, and Kelly Davidson; four grandchildren, Stephen Trbuza, Matthew Trbuza, Brandi Brands and Bailee Lyon; four step-grandchildren, Stephanie Lyon, Brittany Lyon, Brandon Clark and Kevin Clark; a step-great grandson, Jaece Zuk; a sister, Joyce Rinehart and husband, Earl of Williamsport; and a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, a niece, one great niece and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by a nephew.
Viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Sunday, June 11, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The prayer service will begin at noon on Monday, June 12, at the funeral home with the Rev. Carmen Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Cemetery in Brodheadsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to be used for the purchase a plaque in Maxine's memory at the Hughes Cancer Center.
