Joan M. Hardy, 58, of East Stroudsburg, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono in East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of William L. Hardy, Jr..
Born on June 8, 1959 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert and June (Roth) Knott and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
In addition to her husband, surviving are two daughters, Tanya Miller and husband Jason and Haley Hardy all of East Stroudsburg; four grandchildren, Rory, Calum, Hunter and Hayden; four sisters, Cynthia Bush and husband James, Carmenn Widdoss and husband Brian, Irlene Strunk and husband William, and Bobbie Jo Knott and fiance Calvin Smith; and two aunts, Betty Roth and husband Dick, and Diane Hughes and husband Danny. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven K. Knott on November 13, 2017.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, with viewing beginning at 10:00AM followed the funeral service at 11:00AM at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The Rev. William Kuntze, pastor of Cherry Lane United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
Alan J. Rosten
(May 27, 1959 - November 21, 2017)
Alan J. Rosten, 58, of Long Pond, died Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017, in his home. He was the husband of Laura A. (Opeka) Rosten with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.
Born on May 27, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Edward Rosten of Las Vegas, NV and Suzanne (Metzger) Rosten of Canyon Country, CA. He lived in Long Pond since 1996, moving from New Jersey.
Alan loved his family and his Bernese Mountain dog, Allie. He enjoyed family vacations, barbequing and corn hole. When he wasn’t spending time at home, he also enjoyed playing golf and bowling in competitive leagues. His greatest interest outside of the home was attending and following NASCAR races with his many NASCAR friends at a variety of race tracks around the country.
Alan was a systems analyst for IBM and Dunn & Bradstreet. In addition, Alan also held two part-time positions at Big Boulder Ski Area and Mt. Airy Resort where he will be remembered for his strong work ethic and contagious sense of humor.
In addition to his wife and parents, surviving are: two children, Tyler Rosten of Oxford, MS and Megan Rosten at home; a sister, Andrea Karlin of Canyon Country, CA; and a brother, Mark Rosten of San Tan Valley, AZ. He is also survived by four nieces, and two nephews.
The visitation will begin at noon followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM on Monday, November 27, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Burial will follow at Blakeslee Methodist Cemetery.

Lucille C. Godshalk
(April 15, 1924 - November 29, 2017)
Lucille C. Godshalk, 93, of Stroudsburg, Passed away on the 29th of November, 2017 in her home in Tannersville surrounded by her loving family, just the way she wanted it.
Lucille was born in Nazareth, PA on April 15th 1924. She was raised on a small farm in Eastern PA alongside her six siblings. It was here that, with guidance from her parents, four older brothers, and two younger sisters that she developed her love of nature and hard work. She loved every animal she could get her hands on, especially her beloved chickens. She even held love for some animals that others would find odd: crows, raccoons and skunks.
Her favorite hobbies included needlepoint, gardening, reading mystery novels and baking. She even has a special apple pie making video to pass on the family secrets. She loved any chance to use her tools, such as her chain saw or weed-wacker; however she held a special place for her burning barrel. Lucille worked as a Journeywoman for Hughes Printing for fifteen years before retiring. Finding that she wasn?t becoming of retirement, she then took a job with Four Maple's Press in Shawnee on the Delaware for another ten years. She was an incredible woman whom always took pride in her hard work; she loved her garden and fruits it bared.
Of all her achievements, her love of family was by far her greatest accomplishment. She marriage young and went on to mother six children of her own, Diane Csencsits, Grant Werner, Kathy Carfagno, Joan Kishbaugh and Keith Godshalk. She was preceded in death by her eldest son Larry Werner, and siblings Marvin Lily, Kermit Lily, Warren Lily, Allen Lilly, Lorraine Kemmerer and Veronica Reeser. Her mother and father started the Lilly Family reunion and have continued yearly for more than half a century. This was by far her most favorite time of year that whole of her family would come together, she never missed one. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren to uphold the family tradition. Volleyball, baseball, bingo and the famous peanut scramble will continue for another half century.
The graveside service for the family and friends will be held at St Paul's Lutheran Church of Smithfield Cemetery, 139 Craig's Meadow Rd, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301 on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 12:00pm with Reverend Norm Kansfield officiating. A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be immediately following the service held at Zion United Church of Christ, 14 N 8th St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
Rosemary L. Mullally
(October 30, 1925 - October 20, 2017)
Rosemary L. Mullally, 91, died peacefully on Friday afternoon, October 20, 2017, at Little Flower Manor in Wilkes-Barre where she was a resident for the past six years. She was the widow of Joseph F. Mullally who died in 1984.
Born on October 30, 1925 in Carbondale, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Florence (Jones) Horan. Prior to residing in Wilkes-Barre, Rosemary was a long time resident of Stroudsburg where she and her husband raised their family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed.
She was the cafeteria manager at the Stroudsburg High school until retiring. Rosemary was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Stroudsburg.
Surviving are three children, Patrick Mullally of Stroudsburg, Marilou Conklin and husband Charles of Effort, and Susan Holzner of Fairfield, CT; five grandchildren, Jack Mullally, Kate Conklin of Pittsburgh, C. Allen Conklin III, Patrick Conklin and Livia Holzner; a sister, Barbara Caviston and husband Tony of Florida; a brother, William Horan and wife Patsy of Conyngham; a sister-in-law, Patsy Horan of Carbondale; a brother-in-law, Jack Munley of Archibald; a brother-in-law Robert Mullally and wife Eleanor of Las Vegas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Rev. Gerald Mullally who died in 2011; a brother, Thomas Horan; and a sister, Joanne Munley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am, Friday October 27, 2017 at St. Lukes Roman Catholic Church, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg, with Rev. Carmen Perry as celebrant. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg. There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Little Flower Manor, 200 S. Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. The Mullallys and all immediate family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Little Flower Manor for their kind and compassionate care of our mother.
Theresa H. Dorflinger
(February 15, 1947 - October 25, 2017)
Theresa H. Dorflinger, 70, of Stroudsburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 25, 2017, while under hospice care at Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Germain J. Dorflinger who passed away November 22, 1997.
Born on February 15, 1947 at home in Daleville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Scott) Smith. She lived in Monroe County since 1988 moving from Gouldsboro.
Theresa was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Red Hat Society and American Legion.
Surviving are four children, Edwin L. Bigger, Jr. of Gouldsboro, James W. Von Broock, Jr. of East Stroudsburg, Jerry Von Broock, Sr. of Big Rapids, MI and Sherry Toscano of East Stroudsburg; seven grandchildren, Abigail Bigger, Emma Bigger, Nathan Von Broock, Madison Von Broock, Jerry Von Broock, Jr., Brittany Von Broock and Kristy Toscano; a sister, Ann Marsh of Daleville; three brothers, Robert Smith of Elmhurst and Earl Smith, Sr. and Arthur Smith both of Daleville; nieces and nephews; and a long-time friend, Patrick Flanagan of Stroudsburg.
Graveside services will be at 11:00AM Saturday, October 28, at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. Cremation was private and there will be no visitation.

Charles A. Seese

Charles A. Seese, 72, of Cresco, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at home.
Born on October 17, 1945 at home in Canadensis, he was a son of the late Claude and Martha "Ann" (Asquith) Seese and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.
Charlie worked as a contractor for various local companies and owned and operated The Butcher Block in Cresco for a short time.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman; and enjoyed sports, especially the Steelers and Pirates.
Surviving are a sister, Kathy Scherer of Harrisburg, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by two wives, Marjorie (Adams) Seese and Barbara E. (Brands) Seese; and four siblings, Joyce VanBuskirk, Louise Granahan, Richard Seese and Edwin Seese.
The viewing will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Wednesday, November 1, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM on Thursday, November 2, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at McComas Chapel Cemetery in Price Township.
