Donald E. “Butch” Newman, 64, of Mahoning St., Milton, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 17, 1947 in Lewisburg, a son of the late Robert L. Sr. and Blanche L. (Erb) Newman. He marriage A 1965 graduate of Warrior Run High School, he worked at the former Philco and then Zenith Corp., Watsontown and Yorktown, Mifflinburg.
Butch was a member of God’s Missionary Church, New Columbia, where he served on the church board.
He was also an active member of the Milton Senior Action Center.
Balloons were Butch’s life. He enjoyed making them for everyone in the community, especially children.
Butch also supported children by attending their sporting events, taking them drinks and snacks.
He was an avid fan of ASA Youth Softball games.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Robert L. Jr. and Vicki Newman, of New Columbia; and two nephews, Robert L. III and Mindy Newman, of Turbotville and Ryan Newman, of New Columbia.
Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at God’s Missionary Church, 852 Ridge Rd., New Columbia, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m.
Officiating will be his ministers, Pastor Matthew Ellison, assisted by Pastor Steve Miller.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made to God’s Missionary Church, 852 Ridge Rd., New Columbia, PA 17856.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home.
Maxine Elaine Eschbach
Maxine Elaine Eschbach, 17, of 123 Center St., Milton, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 in Milton.
Born April 18, 1995, in Gainesville, FL, she was a daughter of Dwight Max and Roxann Elisabeth (Krueger) Eschbach, who survive.
Maxine was a junior at Milton High School and worked at Country Cupboard in Lewisburg, where she bused tables.
She was happiest when she was listening to music, attending concerts, or surrounded by her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, of Milton, she is survived by three sisters, Chasity Krueger of Williston, FL, and Melinda and Misty Eschbach, both of Milton; paternal grandparents, Stephen and Kathy (Rager) Eschbach and maternal grandparents, Roxann and Charles Krueger, all of Williston, FL; paternal great-grandparents, Rollin Eschbach, Sr. and Charles and Nancy Snyder, all of Milton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by paternal great-grandparents, Max and Barbara Rager; and an aunt, K.C. Krueger.
Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown, where the funeral will be held on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
Officiating will be Rev. Michael L. Deal, pastor of White Deer Valley Baptist Church.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Maxine E. Eschbach memorial fund at any office of West Milton State Bank or mailed to West Milton State Bank, 940 High Street, West Milton, PA 17886.

Jeffrey S. Gaugler
Jeffrey S. Gaugler, 52, of Baylor Heights Lane, Watsontown, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
Born April 3, 1960 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Irvin E. “Buss” and Louise (Heckman) Gaugler.
For the past seven years, Jeff has enjoyed the company of his fiancée, Carol Barnwell, of Watsontown.
Jeff attended Warrior Run High School.
He began working at Masonite Corporation, Watsontown, and then worked as a parts clerk for numerous local car dealerships for 10 years.
Most recently he worked at Norka Manufacturing, Watsontown as a machine operator until it’s closing in 2009.
A model train and car enthusiast, Jeff was a member of the Milton Model Train Museum and Susquehanna Valley CARTS.
He enjoyed working on cars and was especially fond of hot rods.
Jeff was also a member of the White Deer Township Fire Department.
Surviving in addition to his fiancée are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth A. and Bonnie Gaugler, of Milton and Donald I. and Tina Gaugler, of New Zealand; one step daughter, Tiffany Hall, of Mifflinburg and one step granddaughter, Jazlyn Hall.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown. Officiating will be Rev. Cheryl L. Berner, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to the White Deer Township Fire Department, 366 Cemetery St., New Columbia, PA 17856, to the Warrior Run Area Fire Department, P.O. Box 8, Watsontown, PA 17777 or to Susquehanna Valley CARTS, 25 South Hill Rd., New Columbia, PA 17856.
Richard "Skip" Dean Bingaman
Richard Dean “Skip” Bingaman, 85, of Rt. 304 Highway, New Berlin, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.
He was born August 22, 1926 in Williamsport, a son of the late Lear H. and Nellie (Weiser) Bingaman.
On April 11, 1948 he marriage Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage.
He was a 1943 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
Richard was a sod farmer.
He also drove truck for R. W. Bird and the former Eastern Milk Producers.
Richard was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Winfield.
He was also a member of the NRA and the Monroe Grange, Snyder County.
A former 4-H Leader, Richard enjoyed 4-H Camp, playing guitar and making wood crafts.
Most notably, he was a direct descendant of Conrad Weiser, the Indian Ambassador for colonial states before the Revolutionary War.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Richard Lee Bingaman, of Winfield and Dean Bingaman, of Selinsgrove; two daughters and on son-in-law, Pamela and Dennis Reichard, of Mifflintown and Mende Croll, of Mifflinburg; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one grandson, Wesley Croll.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
