ALBERT BERKHEIMER,78, of RR Mifflinburg, formerly of Pine Creek, passed awayMonday, Jan. 5, 2004. He was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Sunbury, the son of the late Pete and Martha Johnson. He marriage the former Jessie Lee Seebold, who preceded him in death inJune 1980. He was previously marriage to the former Dorothy Houlziser and the former Jacqueline Seebold. Mr. Berkheimer was a veteran of the Navy, where he worked as a machinist and served during both World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Avco Industries of Williamsport. Mr. Berkheimer was a member of Hillside Bible Church, West Buffalo Township. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Jersey Shore. Surviving are seven sons, Gene of Bloomsburg, Harold of St. Louis, Tom of Milton, David of Hokomo, Mo., Donald of Mifflinburg, Albert of Philadelphia and Lonnie of Sunbury; one daughter, Alana Berkheimer of Lock Haven; 28 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Ronald Berkheimer, and two daughters, Mary Jane Benfer and Dawn Berkheimer.
Arrangements are private. Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837. The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service Inc., Milton, is in charge of arrangements.
