Death date: November 10, 2001 Jeffrey P. Skalos, age 40 of Austintown, Ohio, on Saturday, November 10, 2001. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 15, 1960, the beloved son on Charles A. and Mary T. (Helbling) Skalos of Ross Township. Jeff was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiance, Paulette Harris of Austintown, Ohio; three children, Richard "R.J.", Amanda and Trey Skalos, all of Zelienople, PA; two brothers, Charles Skalos of Baldwin, James Skalos of Fineview and a sister, Nancy Skalos of Ross Township. Also survived by Paulettes children, Alena and Amelia. Family will receive friends Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Schellhaas Funeral Home Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Boniface Church of Holy Wisdom Parish on Thursday at 10:00 am. Father Lawrence Bruney officiating. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.
Alison Logan Gebauer
Alison Logan Gebauer, age 47, of Charleroi, died on Thursday, February 14, 2002. Born on May 13, 1954 in Pittsburgh. Beloved wife for 5 1/2 years of Edward B. Gebauer. Dear daughter of William S. & Marjorie (Dellenbaugh) Logan of Richland Twp., Gibsonia. Dear daughter-in-law of Edward J. & Bertha (Shedleski) Gebauer of North Wales, PA. Sister of Craig Logan of Xenia, Ohio and step mother of Sarah, Claire, and Elise Gebauer all of Reston, VA. Friends received Monday, February 18, 2002 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD 5864 Heckert Road Bakerstown PA. Rev. Dr. Darcy E. Hawk of the Gibsonia Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment private. A memorial service will be held in May at her farm. Alison was the owner of her own farm where she raised sheep, all natural chickens, Boarder Collies, and horses. She kept active in competitions of Boarder Collies and recently opened Red Horse Market at Brush Run Farm where she sold all natural foods. She and her husband were known for numerous working sheep dog demonstrations at the Scotish Games in the Eastern United States. The family suggests all contributions in lieu of flowers to the Alison Logan Gebauer Memorial Fund in care of the American Boarder Collie Association 82 Rogers Road, Perkinston, MS 39573-8843.
Elmer W. Frederick
Elmer W. Frederick, age 88 of Spring Hill, on Monday, February 25, 2002 in U.P.M.C. Passavant Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 7, 1913, the son of the late Elmer and Theresa (Zibrat) Frederick. In addition to his parents, Mr. Frederick was preceded in death by his wife, Anna M. (Bauman) Frederick; a sister, Minnette Roth and a brother, Howard Frederick. Mr. Frederick is survived by a son, Walt Frederick, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Ross Township and a brother, Robert Frederick and his wife, Dorothy of Zelienople. He is the grandfather of Kevin Frederick and his wife, Tamy of Jackson Township and Laurie Kepins and her husband, Mark of Cranberry Township. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center in West View, a "Pursuit of Excellence" Award Firm, where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Paul F. Kokenda of St. Michael and All Angels Lutheran Church will officiate the service at the funeral home. Interment in Allegheny County Memorial Park. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Frederick was employed as an Accountant in the Chemical Industry and at one time was employed by Old Honesty Soap Company. Elmer was the oldest lifetime member of Teutonia Mannerchor and proudly served his country as a Radio Operator for the United States Army during WWII.

Beloved wife of the late Leonard Survived by three sons Leonard M. Schloer of North Side, James E. Schloer of Wexford, and Robert T. Schloer of Ross Twp. and one daughter Regina A. Kolodziej of Brighton Heights. Also five grandchildren Leonard, Brian, Karen, Thomas, and Lindsey and three great grandchildren. Thomas S. Ferman, age 78 of Ross Township, on Saturday, February 23, 2002 in U.P.M.C. Passavant Hospital. Born December 26, 1923 in Brockway, PA, the son of the late Howard and Eleanor Warton Ferman. Survivors include his beloved wife, Marjorie D. (Groom) Ferman; six sons, Kenneth Peaslee of Ross Township, Larry Peaslee of Troy, Texas, Robert Peaslee of Etna, Ronald Ferman of Hampton Township, Thomas Ferman of Temple, Texas and Richard Ferman of Ross Township; one brother, Paul Ferman and one sister, Eleanor Bauman. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Samuel A. Flamgletti, age 40 of McCandless Township on Friday, March 8, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 10, 1961, beloved son of JoAnn (Curcio) Flamgletti of Ross Township and the late Roland Jack Flamgletti. Mr. Flamgletti is survived by two children, Jack and Nikki Flamgletti of McCandless Township and a sister, Jill Hartman and her husband, Richard of Franklin Park. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends. Anna M. Overholt, age 94 of Mars, PA, on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 in St. John's Lutheran Care Center. She was born in Pittsburgh on October 28, 1907, the daughter of the late Homer and Bell (Thomas) Fisher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Overholt was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. in 1966. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Overholt worked in Child Services. Marie E. (Harsch) Auth, age 90 of Reserve Township, on Thursday, November 29, 2001 in St. Barnabas Home. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 2, 1911, the daughter of the late Theodore and Clara (Hillenbrand) Ruettgers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Auth was preceded in death by her husbands, Otto Harsch and Vincent Auth and a nephew, Tom Auth. Marie is the beloved Aunt of Richard Rock of Florida, Joan Yockel of Brighton Heights, Virginia Beck of Florida and Mary Jane Kelsch of Reserve Township. Also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mrs. Auth was employed as an Auditor with Troy Hill Federal Savings & Loan prior to her retirement and was a member of St. Aloysius Women's Club, Reserve Township A.A.R.P. #2282 and Catholic Daughters of America. Family will receive friends on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, 388 Center Avenue in West View. Robert F. Wehner, age 77 of Ross Township, passed away in Johnstown, PA on Monday, October 29, 2001. He was born in Pittsburgh on April 28, 1924, the son of the late John and Clara (Kaib) Wehner. Mr. Wehner is the beloved husband of Claire Siwinski Wehner, father of Dr. Daniel R. Wehner of Johnstown and Amy Wehner Wentley of Mebane, NC; brother of Marian Wehner of Avalon, PA and Clara Freel of Spring Hill, PA. Also survived by five grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew and Erik Wehner and Emily and Robert Blakely Wentley. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sebastian Church on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. James M. Stover will officiate the Mass. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
