Beloved husband for 24 years of Rose E. (Agostine) Biro. Dear father of Susan Satterle of Ft. Lauderdale FL, Alexander Biro of Arizona, Cathy Biro of New York and the late Irene Totten. Grandfather of William Gregory Satterle and Maleia Rose Satterle and Susan & Harold Totten. In addition to his parents and daughter he was preceded in death by one brother. Gary R. Nelson, age 49 of Middlesex Twp, Valencia died on Monday, April 29, 2002 in Pittsburgh. He was born on March 9, 1953 in Natrona Heights. Beloved husband for 27 years of Jennifer (Land) Nelson. Dear son of Robert & Shirley (Richardson) Nelson of Natrona Heights. Loving father of Shawn Nelson and Angella Nelson both of Middlesex Twp., Valencia. Brother of Craig Nelson of Natrona Heights, Pam Nelson of Natrona Heights, and Mrs. Terry (Kim) Temporski of New Kensington. Friends will be received at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Ltd., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA, on Wed 7-9 and Thurs 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11:00 a.m. in Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church. Fr. John P. Maloney will officiate. Interment in Mt. Airy cemetery in Natrona Heights. Gary was a general contractor employed with his family business Robert Nelson & Sons located in Natrona Heights. Gary was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Seplucher Catholic Church. Dolores ("Dee") Smyers, age 69, a resident of Glenshaw, died April 12, 2002. She was the daughter of the late William and Marie Congalton. She was the wife of Thomas Smyers, Sr. and the mother of Thomas, Jr. (Olga) of West View, Vicki Lewandowski of Allentown, Kenneth (Rita) of McCandless, Caryn Sieber (Mike) of Glenshaw, David (Ann) of Ross, Jesse (Michelle) of Allison Park, Kelly Sieber (Jake) of Allison Park, Lori Pond (Dan) of Erlensee, Germany, Bert (Robyn) of Cleveland, Ohio, Bart (Jill) of Ross and Greg of Pittsburgh. She was the beloved "Grandma Dee" of 27 grandchildren -- Michael, Stephen, Rachelle & Kristin Smyers; John, Gina & Jill Lewandowski; Sabrina & Stephanie Smyers; Sarah, Catie & Michael Sieber; David, Jr. & Lillia Smyers, Samantha & Sydney Smyers; Erin, Jacob *V & Megan Sieber; Patrick, Jasmine & Melissa Pond; Matthew, Morgan & Mia Smyers; Evan & Alexandria Smyers. She was the sister of William Congalton, Jr., Carol Clark and Ruth Richards. Dee, 1950 graduate of West View H.S., was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was a graceful dancer and enjoyed travel, bingo, ceramics and crafts. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Schellhaas Funeral Home, Center Avenue, West View. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 15, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Siebert Road in Ross Township. Burial at Mt. Royal Cemetery. Jean M. Mountan, age 77 of North Side, on Thursday April 11, 2002 in her home. Beloved daughter of the late Charles and Mae (Charles) Klenk. Loving wife of the late M. Duane Mountan. Jean is survived by her daughter Karen Somerville of Pittsburgh and her son Duane Mountan of Evertt, PA; and three sisters Grace Mrazek of North Side, Alberta Klenk of Perrysville, and Florence Dayton of Glenshaw. Also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 at the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, INC, 707 East St., North Side, a "Pursuit of Excellence" Award Firm. Mildred (Kealey) Mock, age 90 of Richland Twp., Gibsonia, formerly of Washington D.C. died Saturday, April 6, 2002 in UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born May 15, 1911 in Barnsville, OH, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Elizabeth (Rigby) Kealey. Preceding her in death were her husband James R. Mock, brothers J.V., Harold, and Robert Kealey. and sisters Margaret Spears, and Elizabeth Kessel. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Schellhaas Funeral Home, Ltd. 5864 Heckert Rd. Bakerstown. Mildred worked for the Dept. of the Interior as a Geological Surveyor for 38 Years. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.

Beloved wife of the late J. Elwood Fugh Sr. Dear Mother of Marilyn Mensch of Valencia, J. Elwood Fugh Jr of Cranberry Twp., and Thomas M. Fugh of Cranberry Twp. Sister of Mary E. Staley of Valencia, George Staley of Gibsonia, Nora Mae Schwab of Bradenton, FL and Marjorie Rinaman of Mars. Also 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one grandson Matthew Corey Fugh, one sister Edna V. Boyle, and two brothers Paul D. and James L. Staley. Ethel L. Kruse, 92 of Mt. Troy, died Saturday, April 20, 2002 at the Vincentian Regency Nursing Home in McCandless. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 15, 1909, she was the daughter of the late William L. & Etta L. (Forrester) Kruse. In addition to her parents, Miss Kruse was preceded in death by a brother, Howard E. Kruse. Ethel was employed as a Cleaning Lady most of her life. Surviving are three nieces. Joseph F. Klein
Joseph F. Klein, 87, formerly of West View, died Thursday, April 4, 2002 at the Valencia Woods Nursing Center. Born August 19, 1914 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Morris Klein and the late Mary Louise (Wheldon) Klein. He worked as a Custodian for North Hills School District. He proudly served his country as an Army Veteran during World War II and was a member of West View V.F.W. Post 2754, Avalon Lodge #657 F. & A.M. and the Islam Grotto. Surviving are two step daughters, Joann Clauter of Freedom, PA and Sallie Hickler of Ross Township; 3 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his loving wife, Ruth (Maierhofer) Klein. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 29, 1949, the beloved daughter of Nancy S. (Stillburg) Bairhalter of Conneaut Lake and the Late Raymond F. Bairhalter, Sr. In addition to her mother, Judy is survived by two brothers, Michael J. Bairhalter of Sewickley and Raymond F. Bairhalter, Jr. of Franklin Park. Also, 1 niece and 4 nephews. Elizabeth Hrach, age 85 of Spring Garden, on Saturday, April 27, 2002 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh on April 8, 1917, the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Nellie (Devertz) Schwartz. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hrach was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norbert Hrach. Survivors include two children, Norbert Hrach of Shaler and Diane Firaben of Mars. Also survived by five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mrs. Hrach was a homemaker most of her life.
