Curtis G. Huy
Death date: April 01, 2004 Curtis G. Huy, age 83, of Hampton Township on Thursday April 1, 2004 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 24, 1920 the son of the late William F. and Erma (Geyer) Huy. In addition to his parents Curt was preceded in death by his beloved wife Florence J. (Enlow) Huy; a son Curtis W. Huy; and his brother, William Huy. Curt owned and operated along with his wife, Flo the C.G. Huy Pharmacy on Mt. Troy Road in Reserve Township for over 38 years. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Pharmacy School and was Past President of the Allegheny County Pharmaceutical Association. He was also a Past Director on the Board of Mt. Troy Savings Bank and a member of Perry Ionic Lodge #796 F.& A.M. Curt is survived by his loving daughter, Margaret Tedesco of Moon Township and two beloved grandchildren, Nicole and Melissa Tedesco, both of Moon Township. Family will receive friends Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Schellhaas Funeral Home Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View where service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am. Reverend Jim Liddle of Mt. Troy United Church of Christ will officiate the service at the funeral home. Elizabaeth M. Winter
Elizabeth "Betty" M. Winter, age 80, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, formerly of Mt. Troy on Sunday March 21, 2004. Born in Pittsburgh on May 24, 1923, the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Panzer) Wagner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Winter was preceded in death by her husband, Merle H. Winter; a sister, Ann Wagner and a brother, James. Betty was a member of St. Aloysius Church and Reserve Township A.A.R.P. Mrs. Winter is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Winter and his wife, Linda of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Donald T. Winter and his wife, Rita of Zelienople, PA. Grandmother of Tom, Dave, Mike, Brian and Ken (Jr.) Winter. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday morning 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Schellhaas Funeral Home Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View. Mass of Christian Burial following the visitation on Thursday morning at 11:00 am in St. Aloysius Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ross Twp. Joan H. Peterson, age 70, of Reserve Twp., on Monday, March 15, 2004. Born on June 19, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Marie (Piroth) Bock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Larry Bock and her sister Mary Jane Bock. Beloved wife for 49 years of Richard E. Peterson of Reserve Twp. Dear mother of Debra (Glenn) Rupert of Reserve Twp., Richard A. (Dorothy) Peterson of Ross Twp., William E. (Terrie) Peterson of Reserve Twp., Diane (Tom) Peterson of Shaler Twp., and Paul (Erin) Peterson of Ross Twp. Also survived by eight grandchildren. William F. Sukits
William F. Sukits, age 90, of the St. Barnabas Retirement Village, formerly of Mt. Troy, on Monday, March 15, 2004 in the comfort of his home. Born on July 28, 1913 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Steven and Julia (Kozar) Sukich. Also preceded in death by one brother, Frank Sukits. William was an Army veteran of WWII. Beloved husband for 66 years of Ethelda (Buettner) Sukits. Brother-in-Law of Roy and his wife Nancy Buettner of Hampton. Also survived by four nieces. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Ltd., 5864 Heckert Rd., Bakerstown, Richland Twp. Connie L. (Leach) Zehmisch, age 70, of Ross Twp., on Sunday, March 7, 2004 in UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born on March 10, 1933 in Bellevue, PA, she was the daughter of Ruth N. (Graham) Leach of West View and the late Arthur R. Leach Sr. Loving wife of the late Robert E. Zehmisch. Also preceed in death by one son, Richard Stack. Prior to her retirement, Connie worked as a patient relations receptionist for the Western PA Hand & Upper Ex. Center. Beloved mother of Todd R. Zehmisch of Hampton, Tom R. Zehmisch of Ross, and Terri R. Snyder Zehmisch of Pittsburgh. Sister of Blaine Leach of Oakland and Arthur T. Leach Jr. of West View. Also survived by four grandchildren, Amanda and Blaine Zehmisch of Hampton and Jeanine and Louis Snyder of Pittsburgh. William J. Schilpp Jr., age 72 of West View, on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 in UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born on January 16, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late William J. & Edna (Pfeiffer) Schilpp Sr. Mr. Schilpp was self employed and worked as a Real Estate Broker. He was a past member for 37 years of the Mendelsohn Choir in Pittsburgh, North Hills Chapter of the Harmony Line Chorus, member of the Greater Pittsburgh Board of Realtors, and a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church Half Century Club. Beloved husband of Sally (Tiernan) Schilpp. Father of Steven (Sandy) and Douglas (Sandi) Schilpp both of Ross Twp., and Craig (Jennifer) Schilpp of West Chester, PA. Brother of Audrey (Roland) Dollhopf of Florida. Also survived by nine grandchildren. Dolores A. Esterberg, age 77, of Pine Twp., on Friday, February 20, 2004. Born on July 13, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. & Helen (Yoskovich) Prelich. Beloved wife of the late Blair J. Esterberg. Dear mother of Kathleen Esterberg of VA, Thomas Esterberg of Evans City, and Cindy Palermo of Pine Twp. Sister of Bernice Moore of Johnstown and Maryann Prelich of Pittsburgh. Also survived by three grandsons. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Helen Schohn and Lois Lindberg. Beloved husband for 21 years of Mary Kay (Ehalt) Payne of West View; father of Anthony & Stephen Payne of West View; brother of Patricia Frans of California, Dennis Payne of North Side & Dawn Wanninger of New Bethlehem. Mr. Payne was Commander of American Legion Post #80 Laurel Gardens and a member of F.O.P. Lodge #91. Keith was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Born on July 13, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late George C. & Elizabeth (Altmeyer) Weber Sr. George was a retired milk man. Preceding him in death were his wife, Leona C. (Brenckle) Weber and his brother Joseph Weber. Dear father of Heidi, Christine & Mark Allen. Grandfather of Lukas & Manuel. Brother of Edward Weber of Gibsonia, Robert Weber of Mars, Anna Arnold of Beechview and Madeline Arnold of Carnegie. Hazel M. Lang, age 92, of West View on Sunday February 8, 2004. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 1, 1911 the daughter of the late George P. and Mary (Ferris) Lang. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Ethel, George, Earl, and Donald Lang and Gladys Kircher. Hazel ws a retired clerk and manager for the A & P Tea Company where she worked for over 50 years. Beloved sister of Robert L. (Betty) Lang of Ross Township and Dorothy Uhlenburg of Colorado. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Schellhaas Funeral Home Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View where service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am. Rev. H. William Dambach will officiate the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township. Melvina M. Weyman, age 85, of Shaler Twp, on Monday, February 2, 2004. Born on May 25, 1918 in Brownsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter & Nettie (Kelley) Weyman. Dear sister of Lillie E. Bauschke of Indiana. In additioan to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Margaret A. Schrempf and her brother Leslie Weyman. Services and interment were held privately by the family and under the direction of Schellhaas Funeral Home Inc. 388 Center Ave West View.
