Jane E. Schroeder, 85, of Valencia, died March 28 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh on April 4, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Martha McChesney Devakos. She was a homemaker as well as a member of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Schroeder, who died in 1963, and by two brothers. Surviving are a daughter, Belinda Spreng and a son, Edward Schroeder, both of Middlesex Township; a sister, Agnes Dittmar of Beechview; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends were received at McDonald Aeberli Funeral home in Mars, where services were also held. Burial was in Middlesex Cemetery.

Joseph Alfano Sr., 60, died March 28 in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 9, 1942, in Aliquippa, he was a son of the late Frank and Rose Alfano. He was a member of the St. Titus Catholic Church in Aliquippa and a United States veteran, who proudly served in the Navy for four years. He is survived by two sons, Joseph Alfano and wife Gina of Cranberry Township and Frank Alfano of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Lisa Claus and husband Leland of Butler; one brother, John Alfano and wife Janis of Greenwood, Ind.; two sisters, Rose Riccardi of Lynbrook, NY, and Dina Fayad and husband Jim of Aliquippa; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family were received in the Darroch Memorial Chapel in Aliquippa. Internment followed at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Wanda Hiles, 62, of Mars and formerly of Sharpsburg, died March 30 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless after an illness. Born in Evans City on March 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Mae Covert Eldridge. She had been a deli clerk at Food Gallery in Fox Chapel and enjoyed needlecraft and gardening. Surviving are her friend of 18 years, Louis Panza of Mars; one daughter, Victoria Gallagher of Harmony; one son, William Hiles of Harmony; one brother, Daniel Eldridge of Evans City; and one granddaughter, Sarah Hiles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Eldridge, and a grandson, Lawrence Hiles. A memorial service was held April 2 with the Rev. Rosalyn Kummer officiating.

Charles Rupkey, 79, a Middlesex Township resident and formerly of Sharpsburg, died April 4 at his residence. Born in Quantico, Va., on Feb. 14, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles and Olive Pearl Knight Rupkey. He was a retired boilermaker, working for the Union as well as various other companies. He was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills. Mr. Rupkey was also active as a member of the Holy Sepulcher Knights of Columbus Council 10175. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Surviving are his companion, Evelyn Bradt; a daughter, Vivian Coward of Valencia; a grandson, Richard Coward of Valencia; two sisters, Peggy Scherer of Key West, Fla., and Shirley Brandt of Laurel, Md.; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn McGivern of Sharpsburg and Dolores Blausen of Russelton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Belsito Rupkey, whom he married on Sept. 14, 1945, and who died July 29, 1998, four brothers and one sister. Friends and family were received April 6 at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted April 7 at Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills. The Rev. John Mahoney officiated. Burial was in Northside Catholic Cemetery in Ross Township.

Barbara Sue Snow Jordan, 62, of Valencia, died Saturday at her residence after an illness. Born in Butler on Sept. 17, 1940, she was the daughter of Louise Henry Snow of Valencia and the late Jacob D. 'Smokey' Snow. She had worked as a dietician at Fosnight's Personal Care Home in Valencia and at Hair Wizards Beauty Salon in Mars. She was affiliated with the Northway Christian Community in Wexford. Surviving are her husband, William Jordan, whom she married Aug. 26, 2000; a daughter, Bonnie Sue Nichols of Mars; two sons, Allen Nichols of Butler and Dale Nichols of Mars; two step-sons, William Jordan Jr. of Shaler and Gregory Jordan of Cranberry Township; two step-daughters, Misty Bowman of South Carolina and Janice Damien of Virginia; three brothers, Rodger Snow of Mars, Russell Snow of Valencia and Gary Snow of West Deer; and five grandchildren, D.J., Amanda, Jacob, Tierney Louise and Shane Allen Nichols. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by Bonnie Dayle Snow. Friends were received Sunday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home. Funeral services were Monday at the home, with the Rev. Lawrence Hughes Jr., 83, of Zelienople and formerly of Mars, died July 21, 2003, at Passavant Retirement and Health Center in Zelienople. Born April 18, 1920, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Jane Dines Hughes. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Brandl Hughes, who preceded him in death on May 11, 1969. He had retired from Home Life Insurance Company in Green Tree, where he had been a sales agent. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Mars VFW and had attended St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Mars. He is survived by two daughters, Marlene Sipp of Cranberry Township and Patricia Nold of Palm Harbor, Fla.; a brother, William Hughes of Coraopolis; a sister Jane Lijewski of Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Friends were received Thursday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Cranberry Township. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry. Burial was in the Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery in Ross Township.

Emma Rinaman, 98, of Mars died July 26 at LAS St. John Lutheran Care Center in Mars. Born in Pittsburgh on March 30, 1905, she was the daughter of the late August and Charolette 'Lottie' Leonhardt Leipoldt. A homemaker, Mrs. Rinaman was a member of the Mars Alliance Church and had belonged to the Mars AARP. She was an avid gardener. Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Pierce of Lake Placid, Fla., and Patricia Madl of Mars, 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rinaman, who died in 1973; a son, Charles Rinaman; and a daughter, Loretta Smith. Friends were received Monday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home. Funeral services were Tuesday at the home, with the Rev. Paul Cope, her pastor, officiating. Burial was in Mars Cemetery in Adams Township. Jeanne Follette Klatte, 79, of Bradford Woods, died Sunday, July 27 at UPMC Cranberry Place. Born in Buffalo, N.Y. on Aug. 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nancy Cain Follette. She was a graduate of Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio where she earned a bachelor's degree in music. Klatte was a music teacher, organist and soloist for various churches. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Presbyterian Church in Wexford. She was also a volunteer for North Country Meals on Wheels in Gibsonia. Surviving are her husband Frank C. Klatte, whom she married on January 4, 1945; three daughters, Mrs. Millard (Cynthia) Blackman of Quincy, Mich., Mrs. James (Jeannie) Schulz of Mt. Lebanon and Mrs. Russell (Wendy) Carson of Economy Boro; two sons, Frank Klatte, Jr. of Robinson Twp. and Timothy Klatte of Bradford Woods. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert and Frank Follette. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9 at Mt. Pleasant United Presbyterian Church in Wexford.

Elizabeth Koepke, 87, of Zelienople and formerly of McCandless and Ross Township, died July 28 at Passavant Retirement Center in Zelienople after an illness. Born in Sharpsburg on March 14, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma Miller Koepke. She was a retired executive secretary in the marketing department for Gulf Oil Company in Pittsburgh. She was a lifelong member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Center on Perrysville Ave. Surviving are a brother, Dr. Howard Koepke of Zelienople; two nieces, Chrissan Goosen of Homer City and Elaine Koepke of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and a nephew, Kurt Koepke of Ocean City, Md. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at New Haven Court Community Room at Passavant Retirement Center, 100 Burgess Dr. in Zelienople Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. George Murgenovich, 81, of Cranberry Township, died Thursday at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilkinsburg. Born Aug. 6, 1921, in West Aliquippa, he was the son of the late Michael and the late Stella Ann Klipa Murgenovich. Mr. Murgenovich was a member of St. Elijah Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Aliquippa. He was a US Army World War II veteran and a member of Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, Syria Shrine in Pittsburgh, Consistory of New Castle, VFW of Pennsylvania, where he was a former Adjudgent General, VFW of Beaver Falls, where he was a past commander, and Ambridge American Legion. He was a former member of the Cooties. He is survived by two sons, Michael Murgenovich of Monaca and Gregory Murgenovich of Ambridge; three daughters, Paulette Roberts of Crafton, Annette Mariotti of New Brighton and Millie Olszewski of Cranberry Township; a brother, Robert Murgen of Baden; a sister Millie Kamzelski of Conway; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Viola Evaneal Webb Murgenovich, who died Sept. 17, 1996; two daughters; a granddaughter; a great-grandson and a sister. Friends were received Saturday and Sunday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services were Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fr. Stevan Stepanov officiating. Elsie Winberg, 104, of Valencia and formerly of Mt. Washington, died July 31 at Valencia Woods Nursing Center in Valencia. Born in Pittsburgh on April 3, 1899, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Balf Yochem. A homemaker, Mrs. Winberg was a founding member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West View. Surviving are two sons, Carl Winberg Jr. of Pittsburgh and John Winberg of Valencia; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Winberg, who died in 1961. A service was conducted on Saturday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home. Burial was conducted in Mars Cemetery in Adams Township.

Louise C. Baker, 83, of Middlesex Township, died Nov. 7 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born in Kittanning on April 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Best Cable. She was a self-employed beautician and had been a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church. She had worked as a clerk at Raugh's Drug Store in Mars and, during the war, worked at Armco. She lived in Mars from 1949 to 1982 and then moved to Titusville, Fla., from 1982 to 1995. She moved back to Valencia in 1995. Surviving are a daughter, Arlene Thomas of Middlesex Township, with whom she made her home; a grandson, Craig Thomas of Orofino, Idaho; a granddaughter, Kim Thomas of Dallas, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Cooper Thomas of Orofino; and her best pal, Boomer, her golden lab. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Baker, whom she married on July 20, 1937, and who died Nov. 14, 1993, four brothers and one sister. There was no visitation. Charles E. Klink, 73, of Renfrew, and formerly of Evans City, died Nov. 7 in the emergency room of Butler Hospital. Born in Smock on Nov. 18, 1929, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Oglethorpe Klink. He was a retired truck driver for Gulf Oil and Mine Safety and Appliance Company in Callery. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Connoquennessing, volunteered for the Connoquennessing Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Callery Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his companion, Mary Brewster; two sons, Charles Klink Jr. and Christopher Klink, both of Georgia; three daughters, Charlotte Wamboldt of Maryland, Charlene Montague of New Mexico and Carol Huber of Gibsonia; two brothers, Jerry Klink of Cool Spring and Elmer Klink of Crucible; a sister, Dorothy McFerron of Pittsburgh; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores 'Dolly' Dapkus Klink, whom he married May 28, 1949, and who died April 25, 1989, and a brother, James Klink. Ralph V. Davison, 83, of Richland Township, died Friday, March 12, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless. Born in Ingomar on Dec. 2, 1920, he was the son of the late Harry T. and Zita Henry Davison. He was a retired self-employed painter and delivery truck driver. He was a member of St. Richard's Roman Catholic Church in Richland Township and a former member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars. Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Donaldson of Wexford and Robert Davison of Valencia; a brother, Gordon Davison of Waldourf, Md.; three sisters, Thelma Lison of Johnstown, Marguerite Fox of Harmony and Eileen Cjaykowski of McKees Rocks; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette 'Toni' Anzaldi Davison, whom he married Jan. 19, 1946, and who died March 16, 1997, a brother, Floyd Davison, and a sister, Hilda White. LaVonnia M. Dedo, 76, of Mars, and formerly of Saxonburg and New Hamburg, died March 13 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless. Born in Edinburg, Pa., on April 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Viola Ruffner Frankenburg. She was a homemaker. Surviving are a daughter, Audine Kenney of Gibsonia; a sister, Ruth Goldschmidt of Florida; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dedo, who died in 1968. A memorial service was in the chapel of LAS/St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars on Tuesday, March 16. Shirley H. Heinz, 83, of Valencia, died Friday, March 12, at UPMC Passavant Hospital, after an illness. Born in Barnesboro, Pa., on Nov. 23, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Isreal and Stella Hallman. She was a manager of the Ziegler 5&10 in Mars and had worked at the Mars IGA and Weaver Hardware. She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Heinz; one daughter, Jane Umenhofer of Wexford; one son, Roger Wagner of Mars; one brother, Allen Hallman of Cherry Tree, Pa.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There was no visitation held. Service and interment were private.

Alice Hunter, 84, of Economy, died Tuesday, March 16, at Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless. Born Dec. 28, 1919, in West View, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Hugel) Hopf. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hunter. Alice was a loving mother and grandmother who lived her faith daily. She was an active member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lovi, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. When her health failed, she continued to minister to those in need by prayer. Surviving are her two daughters and son-in-law, Dianne A. Hunter, with whom she resided and Faye and Thomas Harrington, all of Economy; three granddaughters, Kimberly, Rachel and Pamela Harrington; a sister, Ruth Jones of Sewickley; and a brother and his wife, William and Helen Hopf of Fredonia, NY. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, sisters and their spouses, Oliver and Zelia Hopf, Herbert and Eleanor Hopf, Esther and Homer Schuchman, Earl and Margaret Hopf and Clarance and Gladys Hopf. Funeral services were Friday, March 19, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lovi in Cranberry Township, with the Rev. James Westgate, her church pastor, officiating. Burial was in Allegheny County Memorial Park in the Town of McCandless.

Chester S. Rudzki, 79, of Sherwood Oaks, Cranberry Township, formerly of the North Hills, died Tuesday, March 16, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless. Born April 24, 1924, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Mary Kiemanski Rudzki. He retired as manager of NAPA Auto Parts in East Liberty. He was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township. He is survived by a sister, Ruth Cwenar of Harmony and a brother, Gene Rudzki of Destin, Fla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Jean Lenger Rudzki in 1994; two sisters, Lottie Zurawka and Jenny Antolic; and a brother, Lee Rudzki. Friends were received Thursday, March 18, at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home in Cranberry. A mass of Christian burial was Friday, March 19, at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, located in Shaler Township.

Joseph S. Acquavita, 85, of Jefferson Township, and formerly of Saxonburg, died Monday, March 22, at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler. Born in Valencia on Sept. 28, 1918, he was the son of the late James and Lena Erra Acquavita. For more than 50 years, he was a carpenter with Carpenter's Union Local 211 in Pittsburgh. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He attended St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Center Ave. in Butler. Surviving are two sons, Joseph L. and Michael F. Acquavita, both of Butler; three sisters, Henrietta Hannahan of Glenshaw, Margaret Prevost of Dayton, Ohio, and Evelyn Antoszyk of Butler; two stepsons, George and James Miller, both of Sarver; two stepdaughters, Brenda Venesky of Sarver and Beverly Diamond of Saxonburg; six grandchildren, eight grandchildren, and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Rose Molinaro Acquavita, who died Oct. 6, 1973, and his second wife of 25 years, Mary Lou Miller Acquavita, who died Aug. 2, 2003; four brothers, Pete, Angelo, George and William Acquavita; and two sisters, Elizabeth Trimbur and Florence Brady. Funeral services were Saturday, March 27, at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home in Mars, with the Rev. Robert McCrumb officiating. Olive Jean Crane, 81, of Mars and formerly of New Castle, died Saturday, March 20, in UPMC Passavant Hospital after an illness. Born in New Castle on March 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Collier and Irene Ringer McKibben. She was a retired sales clerk from Gimbel's Department Store. She was a member of the Third United Presbyterian Church in New Castle. Surviving are her husband, Phillip Crane, whom she married Nov. 21, 1941; four daughters, Phyllis Boyle of Zelienople, Suzanne Say of Zelienople, Deborah Turek of Pittsburgh and Patricia Crane of Bridgeport, Ohio; two sons, Richard Crane of Riverside, Calif., and Thomas Crane of the Town of McCandless; one sister, Nancy McQuiston of New Castle; one brother, John A. McKibben of New Jersey; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Service was Tuesday, March 23, at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth 'Betty' Gasparin, 78, of Middlesex Township, died Sunday, March 21, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless. Born in Pittsburgh on June 17, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Guenter Gallagher. She was a secretary for 35 years for Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Glade Mills and was still working there one day a week. She was also a member of the church. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Stirling of Harmony; three sons, Mark C. and Gerald L. Gasparin, both of Butler, and Noel J. Gasparin of Annapolis, MD.; three sisters, Ann Holden of Bayonet Point, Fla., Nora Baldoff of Hermitage and Mary Readel of Polk; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester C. Gasparin, whom she married Sept. 17, 1946, and who died May 14, 1996; eight brothers and sisters and twin grandsons. Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, March 24, at Holy Sepulcher with the Rev. Dan Maurer, pastor, officiating. Burial was in St. John Church Cemetery in Coylesville. John T. Graham, 73, of Cranberry Township, died Tuesday, March 23, at his residence. Born Jan. 5, 1931, in Harmony, he was the son of the late Clifford and Sina (Marshall) Graham. Mr. Graham was a member of Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry, the Zelienople and Evans City Sportsmans Clubs and the NRA. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He worked for 22 years as a superintendent for F.B. Leopold Fiberglass Company in Zelienople and for six years as a plant manager for Universal Rundle in New Castle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He is survived by his wife, Joan D. Graham, whom he married March 2, 1951; two sons, Clifford D. Graham and his wife, Jeanne, of Cranberry Township, and Wayne A. Graham and his wife, Laurie, of Waterford; a brother, William O. Graham of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a sister, Jayne Kerr of Ellwood City; and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Dan, Ally and Ryan Graham. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cora Straessley. Funeral services were Friday, March 26, at Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry, with the Rev. Anthony Fallisi, associate pastor, officiating. Burial was in Dutilh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Cranberry Township.

James Lee Wolfe Jr., 38, of Zelienople, and formerly of Sewickley, died Monday, March 22, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh from injuries received in a construction accident in Gibsonia. Born in Ravenna, Ohio, on Nov. 3, 1966, he was the son of James L. and Elizabeth G. 'Betsy' Lewis Wolfe of Sewickley. He was a 1985 graduate of North Allegheny High School. A self-employed building contractor, he was the owner of Wolfe Construction Company of Zelienople. He was a softball player for the Butler YMCA team, he raced microsprints in Indiana, Pa., was a bowling league member at Zelie Lanes and was a member of the Builder's Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Autumn Paige Conley of Cranberry Township; two sisters, Judy Abbs of Sewickley and Cami Foltz of Valencia; and six nieces, Becca, Heather, Caitlin and Abigail Foltz, and Mollee and Madison Abbs. Funeral services were Friday, March 26, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibsonia, with the Rev. Joel Benson, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Township. Catherine Elizabeth Golla, 83, of Mars and formerly of Richland Township, died Saturday, March 27, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless. Born in Tyrone, Blair County, on Feb. 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Clair and Mildred Dora Barnhill Cowher. She was a member of the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and had been involved in Girl Scouts. Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen M. Utecht of Palmer, Alaska; a son, James T. Golla of Sutersville, Pa.; a brother, Donald Neterer of Florida; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren as well as one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James T. Baker, who died Dec. 23, 1948; her second husband, Frank Golla, who died Oct. 9, 1981; one sister; and three brothers. Funeral services were Wednesday, March 31, at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Bender, administrator of the Vision Christian Bible Institute in Butler, officiating. Marjorie P. Hacking, 92, of Zelienople, and formerly of Silver Springs, Md., died Monday, March 22, at Creek Meadows Personal Assisted Living in Franklin Township. Born April 29, 1911, she was the daughter of the late James Park and Roberta Pamela Jones Hacking. Miss Hacking had been a secretary for the Red Cross in Washington, D.C., for many years. She is survived by two nieces, Susan McClure of Cranberry, and Nancy Beals of Cranberry; two nephews, Richard Hacking of Maple Shade, N.J., and Robert Hacking of Junction City, Kan.; and several great-nieces and 'nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hacking. Services were private.

Howard D. 'Stovepipe' McKinney, 73, of Adams Township, died Monday, March 29, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in the Town of McCandless. Mr. McKinney was born in Adams Township on March 26, 1931. He was the son of the late Clyde and Edna Burtz McKinney. He was a retired steel worker for U.S. Steel in Ambridge. Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Simmons, who lives in Valencia; seven sons, Donald McKinney of Ambridge, Douglas McKinney of Texas, Daniel McKinney of Penn Hills, Dennis McKinney of Allison Park, Darian McKinney of Bethel Park, Dirk McKinney of Valencia and David McKinney of Cabot; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jane W. Brooks Mathews, 91, of Mars, and formerly of Middlesex Township, died Saturday, May 22, at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars. Born in Pittsburgh on May 24, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Llewellyn Wright. Mrs. Mathews had been a sales clerk for Weaver's Hardware Store in Mars for many years. She was a member of Mars United Presbyterian Church and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown. She belonged to the women's association of the church. She was one of the first tenants to move in at Penn-Mar Plaza Apartments, where she lived until October. Surviving are two daughters, Doris Scott of Mars and Shirley Trapp of Middlesex Township; a son, Donald Brooks of Sarver; three step-daughters, Darlien Durso of Prospect, Marie Cassell of Alvisa, Calif., and Florine Burr of Evans City; two step-sons, William and Ronald Mathews, both of Middlesex Township; a brother, Francis L. Wright of Newport Beach, Calif., 42 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are Wednesday, May 26, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert B. Emmett L. Norris, 90, of Middlesex Township, died Saturday, May 15, at Shelbourne Assisted Living in Penn Township after an illness. Born in Culmerville on Feb. 17, 1914, he was the son of the late John C. and Anne Bell Donaldson Norris. He was a retired supervisor for Armco Steel in Butler, where he worked for 40 years. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Department, the National Rifle Association and Trout Unlimited. An avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, he also volunteered at Mars Area High School, helping in the wood shop. He was a member of Glade Run United Methodist Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his second wife, Maxine Irwin Norris; one daughter, Eileen Maier of Crown Point, Ind.; one son, David G. Norris of Valencia; two sisters, Marian Kennihan of Phoenix, Ariz., and Helen Schroeder of State College; three grandchildren, A. Jay and John L. Maier and Tammy Reynolds; and five great-grandchildren, Nate and Matthew Reynolds, and Colin, Luke and Bryce Maier. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy A. Shea Norris, whom he married Nov. 7, 1942, and who died June 24, 1983; and by three brothers. Services were held at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, with the Rev.
