Apple, at an advanced age. The relatives and friends of the
family are invited to attend the funeral without further
notice, on Wednesday next, the 7th inst., to meet at the house
at 10 o, A.M., and leave at 11 o, to proceed to
Oakland cemetery.

McDANIEL - In Valley township, on December 2d,
EMMA A. McDANIEL, wife Edwin J. McDaniel, and daughter of
Moses Ford, aged 19 years.

On Sunday afternoon, Mrs. Mary Apple, wife of
Capt. Wm. Apple, of West Chester, died very suddenly. She had
complained of feeling a little unwell on Saturday afternoon,
but had performed all her usual duties. In the evening she
retired to bed somewhat earlier than usual, applying some
light remedies. The Doctor was called in on Sunday morning and
left her about two oapparently better. Shortly after,
as her daughter-in-law was bathing her hands, Mrs. Apple
remarked in her usual voice. Nothing seemed to do any good.
Her attendant then observing a sudden change come over her
made an exclamation, but before her daughter, Mrs. Oat, who
was sitting at the window, could reach the beside her mother
was dead.

Mr. JOSEPH WHITAKER, died at his residence at
Mont Clare, opposite Phoenixville, on Wednesday last, aged 82
years. He had just arrived home from Philadelphia, and had
taken up a newspaper to read, when he died of heart disease.
He was a useful and highly esteemed citizen and was for a year
a member of the State Legislature.

On Thursday morning last, JOSEPH HUNSICKER, died
suddenly in the 73d year of his age. He had got up in the
morning apparently in his usual health. Shortly after his wife
found him sitting at the open window and discovered that he
was partially paralyzed. Assistance was called and he was laid
upon a lounge, when he shortly expired. The deceased was a man
of strong mind and took a prominent place in political
struggles during his earlier life. He was a member of the old
Whig party and was frequently a candidate on its ticket, but
living at that time in Montgomery county was not successful.
In 1849, he was appointed by Governor Johnson Associate Judge
of Montgomery county for five years.
