Norman D. King
CONNEAUT LAKE - Norman D. King, 63, of 10608 Mohawk Road, Conneaut Lake, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Meadville Medical Center of an apparent heart attack. He was born Feb. 3, 1938, a son of Lester and Lula Sidley King. A 1956 graduate of Mercer High School, he also attended Allegheny College where he was active in the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and later served as chapter adviser. President of Greenville Savings Bank since 1992, he started with the bank in 1979 as managing officer and was elected to the board of directors in 1980. He was previously employed at Venango Federal Bank, hired in 1967 as a loan officer, and transferred to Meadville as the branch manager in 1970. In 1977 he was promoted to vice president, branch coordinator and was employed there until 1979. He was a member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy and a past director of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers. He was also past director of Western Pennsylvania League of Financial Institutions. He was an instructor for Penn State Erie-The Behrend continuing education in Meadville and Warren for many years. Active in the Greenville Community, he was a member of the Downtown Redevelopment Committee, the Business and Industrial Day Committee, the Recreation Complex Committee, and served on the Northern Mercer County Community Foundation. He was a past member of Greenville Borough Council serving from 1982 to 1984. He was also a former member of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors; the Executive Committee of Greenville Area Economic Development Corp., Greenville Area Recreation board of directors and a former member of the Greenville Incubator board of directors. He was active in other community organizations, as a member of the Greenville Country Club; Elks Lodge 219 of Meadville; Little Gridders of Meadville; the Sertoma Club of Meadville; and the Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club of Conneaut Lake. An avid fan of all sports, he served on the Mercer County Hall of Fame board of directors. Survivors include his second wife, Helene Ucchino King of Conneaut Lake, and children, Lindsay Yoder of Mt. Laurel, N.J., and Jason Yoder of Conneaut Lake; a son, Steven K. King and his wife, Kimberley, of Greensboro, N.C.; three grandchildren, Stephanie, David and Maggie King; his first wife, Neva Gatrell Eckley of Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters, Pauline Marsh and Nancy Flannery, both of Mercer; and three brothers, John King of Wilmington, Del., Russ King of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Wayne King of Mercer. Gayle L. Davis
Gayle L. Davis, 65, of 6535 Mt. Pleasant Road, Meadville, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Meadville Medical Center. She was born in Meadville Aug. 3, 1935, a daughter of Samuel and Virginia Turner Kline. A 1953 graduate of Conneaut Valley High School, she worked in production at the Ernst Crown Vetch Farm. Survivors include her companion, Lewis Riley; a daughter. Brenda L. Motzing and her husband, John, of Conneaut Lake; four sons, George W. Davis, and Ronald C. Davis and his wife, Delores, all of Cambridge Springs, James E. Davis and his wife, Donna, and Lewis R. Riley, all of Meadville; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. Raymond W. Fish Jr.
CARLTON - Raymond W. Fish Jr., 78, of RD 1, Box 98, Carlton, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Meadville Medical Center. He was born in Rocky Grove Oct. 17, 1922, a son of R. Wayne and Waive Sturgis Fish Sr. He married Reva Peters March 16, 1945. In his early years he was a dairy farmer and later worked at Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. He was last employed at Langdon and Leveto Veterinary Clinic of Meadville. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 56 years, include a sister, Wilma Bennett and her husband, Bruce, of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. H. Porter Byers Jr.
BEAVER FALLS - H. Porter Byers Jr., 68, of Beaver Falls, and formerly of Economy, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Providence Health Care Center. He was born in Rochester Aug. 28, 1932, a son of Harlan Porter Byers Sr. and Mary Catherine Hinkel Byers. He was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include two sisters, Peggy Byers Corner of Avon Park, Fla., and Betsy Byers Corner of Eatonville, Wash.; a brother, George Byers and his wife, Peggy, of Lakeworth, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews in the Meadville area. Edward Sparks
Edward Sparks, 73, of Bertschy Road, Meadville, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie. He was born in Meadville May 13, 1928, a son of Harry and Bertha Sparks. He married Gloria N. Walters Sept. 16, 1950. He retired from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 50 years, include two sons, Ralph Sparks and his wife, Diane, and Brian Sparks and his wife, Kathy, all of Meadville; five grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Crane of Meadville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Richard Sparks; and two sisters, Norman Jean Yoder and Loretta Stevens. No calling hours will be observed. Gertrude E. Earle
Gertrude E. Earle, 99, of Liberty Street, Meadville, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at home. Born in Linesville March 17, 1902, she was a daughter of George Edwin and Mertie Clark Thompson. She married Anthony Vacanti. He preceded her in death in February 1924. She later married Williston W. Earle, who preceded her in death in 1997. She was a housewife most of her life and lived in New Jersey from 1935 until 1974 when she moved to Linesville. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Meadville, and enjoyed crocheting and baking. Survivors include a daughter, Mertie Kibler of Edinboro; a grandson, Anthony Williams; two granddaughters, Beverly Lupo and Dolores Iannello; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Wolfe; a granddaughter, Martha Wolfe; a grandson, Harold Wolfe; two sisters; and a brother. WEST DEER TOWNSHIP - Jennifer A. Pfeifer, 56, of West Deer Township, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at UPMC St. Margaret Memorial, Pittsburgh. Born in Meadville Nov. 30, 1944, she was a daughter of Donald J. and Esther Morgan Hillman. She married Rick F. Pfeifer. A homemaker, she attended East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer Township. She was a member of the Auxiliary of West Deer Volunteer Fire Department 2 and West Deer Tech. Survivors, in addition to her husband of 37 years, include two sons, Todd O. Pfeifer and his wife, Sharron, of Meadville and Randy A. Pfeifer and his wife, Lee Ann, of Butler; a daughter, Lori L. Butler and her husband, Rob, of West Deer Township; seven grandchildren; and a brother, John Hillman of Portland, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents. GUYS MILLS - Karl J. Kircher, 89, of Plank Road, Guys Mills, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare, Meadville. He was born in Indianola, Neb., Dec. 24, 1911, a son of Herman and Mary Bretler Kircher. He married Mary P. Pusz June 20, 1936 and she preceded him in death Aug. 4, 2000. He was a self-employed contractor. A member of St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church, he was a charter member of East Mead Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Kathryn Aber Wayland
SPERRYVILLE, Va. - Kathryn Aber Wayland, 89, of Sperryville, Va., died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Culpeper Health Care Center, Culpeper, Va. She was born in Pennsylvania Sept. 24, 1911, a daughter of Dr. David L. and Katherine Marguerite Dreutlein Aber. She married John Hamilton Wayland, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Reynolds Memorial Church in Sperryville. Her grandparents were the late Henry and Caroline Worst Dreutlein of Meadville and Conneaut Lake, and her great-grandfather, Charles Worst, helped establish St. Joseph's Convent, later known as Spencer Hospital. Survivors include three children, Jacquelyn A. Fox, F. Marguerite Tupper and William Tamplin Wayland, all of Rappahannock County, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John David Wayland. The family will receive friends at home, Wayland Farms, Sperryville. William Edward DeRemer
CONNEAUTVILLE - William Edward DeRemer, 73, of 13319 State Highway 198, Conneautville, died Friday, May 18, 2001 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community following a two-year illness. Born Nov. 7, 1927 in Guys Mills, he was a son of Jacob Lawrence and Margaret B. Thornton DeRemer. He married Lillian Bigusiak Oct. 13, 1951. She preceded him in death Oct. 30, 1998. A 1953 graduate of Glendale Evening High School, Glendale Ca., he was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European Theater of operations and attaining the rank of corporal. He began building airplanes at Lockheed Corp., Glendale, Ca., in 1953, and once built a plane for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Upon returning to western Pennsylvania, he worked for 20 years at True Temper of Union City as a log yard foreman and timber buyer. He subsequently worked as plant manager for the Snyder Chair Co. of Conneautville, and started DeRemer Sales and Service where he sold and serviced lawn equipment, snow mobiles, skidder parts and truck equipment for 25 years until his retirement in 2000. From 1971 to 1992, he worked as a bridge and building plumber foreman for the Erie-Lackawanna and Conrail railroads. He was also a notary public, certified welder and heavy equipment operator. He was the local chairman and secretary treasurer of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Lodge 1904, Meadville, and member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America Lodge 564, Conneautville. He was also a member of Cambridge Springs American Legion Post 381, Conneautville American Legion Post 615, Venango Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 196, Venango Volunteer Fire Department, Springboro Fire Hall, Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Station 3, Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Department, Vernon Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Meadville Club, Norrisville Sportsman's Club, the Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania, and the National Rifle Association. He was a former member of the Meadville Elks Lodge 219 and Meadville Masonic Lodge 408. Family members say he was a man of varied interests and hobbies. He loved working with machinery and anything involving nuts and bolts, and enjoyed camping, especially at a camp he owned in Tionesta. He also enjoyed hunting, reading, playing cards, traveling, pets and animals, trains and attending auctions and the annual woodsmen carnival in Coudersport. Friends say was a family man who took pride in his children and grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Darcel L. (Darcee) Deeter and her husband, William, of Meadville; two sons, Marshall (Scott) DeRemer and his wife, Kathy, of Conneautville, and William A. DeRemer and his wife, Diane, of Meadville; three grandchildren, Cherié, Megan and Jackie DeRemer; four step-grandchildren, Tim, Brian and Michael Hannigan and Justin Deeter; a foreign exchange student granddaughter, Melanie Milanowski of Hamburg, Germany; two sisters, Betty Cornett and her husband, James, of Greenville, and Peggy Marron and her husband, John, of Mercer; an aunt, Anastasia Byham of Meadville, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife of 47 years, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Lawrence (Bangs) DeRemer Jr. and a sister, Sandra Mattis. UNION CITY - Pauline B. Zeilinski Polach, 93, of 19 Brown St., Union City, died Friday May 18, 2001, at Union City Memorial Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh Feb. 8, 1908, she was a daughter of Stanley P. and Eleanora S. Ruchanski Zeilinski. She married George Polach July 1, 1929. He died in 1967. In her younger years, she worked at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Marx Toys and the Eastman Company. She was a long-time member of St. Teresa's Roman Catholic Church in Union City. Survivors include four sons, Joseph S. Polach and his wife, Jean, and R. Walter Polach and his wife, Joyce Ann, of Union City, Casimir C. Polach and his wife, Paula, of Saegertown, and Stanley P. Polach and his wife, Charlotte, of Corry; three daughters, Eleanor P. Soety and her husband, Donald, and Theresa L. Racop and her husband, Max, of Union City, and Dorothy P. Bethel (Betty) Saulsbery
CONNEAUT LAKE - Bethel (Betty) Saulsbery, 81, of 975 State St., Conneaut Lake, and a resident of Beverly Health Care System in Meadville, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at the home. Born in Oil City July 1, 1919, she was a daughter of Andrew Diven and Jennie Bell Stanley Bickel. She married Warren Harding Saulsbery Oct. 31, 1942. He died July 15, 1966. She retired in 1979 from Talon Inc., where she worked in the finishing department. A member of the High Street Community Church of Conneaut Lake, she was active in the church's quilting club and enjoyed drag racing. Survivors include a daughter, Grayce Calvin and her husband, Joe, of Atlantic; four sons, Paul Saulsbery and his wife, B.J. , of Hartstown, and Warren (Gene) Saulsbery, Robert Saulsbery and his wife, Sherri, and Gary Saulsbery and his wife, Robin, all of Conneaut Lake; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 24 years, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Mildred Stephens, Bernice Bickel, Grace Moorhouse and Lauada Funk, and four brothers; Rodney Bickel, Ralph Bickel, Oscar Bickel and Alva Bickel. Arthur A. Hughes
Arthur A. Hughes, 83, of Ravine Street, Meadville, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at his residence. Born in White Mill June 17, 1917, he was a son of Albert and Annie Bennett Hughes. He married Jean L. Anderson Feb. 2, 1946. A U.S. Army veteran serving as a combat medic in the 3rd Armor Division from February 1942 to September 1945, he received the Bronze Star for heroism in Germany. He worked at the former Vic Farrah Chevrolet of Meadville. He was of the Methodist faith. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a charter member of the American Legion. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 55 years, include two sons, Randy Hughes and his wife, Sharon, of Ponce Inlet, Fla., and Terry Hughes and his wife, Erin, of Lake City; three grandchildren, David Hughes, Kelly Hughes and Patrick Hughes; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jolene Spicher of Ebensburg. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Orville, David and Don Hughes; and a sister, Hulda Darr. Irene M. Biby
MESA, Ariz. - Irene M. Biby, 74, of Mesa, Ariz., and formerly of Cambridge Springs, died Saturday, May 12, 2001. She was born in Lorain, Ohio, Aug. 27, 1926, a daughter of Cecil and Edna Long Alward. She married Roy B. Biby in 1947. She was raised in Edinboro and lived in Cambridge Springs with her husband until they moved to Arizona in 1974. She was a devoted wife and a domestic engineer, raising five children. Survivors, in addition to her loving husband of 54 years, include four daughters, Barbara Antonucci of Virginia, Cathy Anzevino of Pennsylvania, Nancy Taylor of Mesa and Sharon Wilton of Australia; a son, Donald Biby of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Shirley Lewis, Beatrice Cole, Lois Richardson, Marjorie Tau and Carol Perlman; and three brothers, John, James and Charles Alward. FRANKLIN - Virgie M. Ray, 109, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at The Caring Place, Franklin, where she had been a resident. Born in Rockland Township, Venango County, Oct. 21, 1891, she was a daughter of John and Leah Lesser Manson. She married George Walter Ray Aug. 26, 1916. He preceded her in death May 18, 1965. She worked as a cook at the former Isaly's on the south side of Oil City. She and her husband lived in the old "Coal Oil Johnny House" at Rynd Farm where her husband worked on the oil lease. She was a lifelong member of Rouseville United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert Ray and his wife, Mae, of Leesburg, Fla., and George Ray and his wife, Lou, of Meadville; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald and Cecil Ray; four brothers, Joe, Clate, Roy and Herbert Manson; and five sisters, Amy Hitchcock, Ruth Baker, Nell Manson, Temoy Smith and Lettie Wilkins. Bernice M. Colwell
STONEBORO - Bernice M. Colwell, 85, of 11 Fairground Road, Stoneboro, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at United Community Hospital, Pine Township, after an extended illness. Born in Deckards, Jan. 29, 1916, she was a daughter of Elmer and Katherine (Kate) Barnhart Reisinger. She married Wayne W. Colwell in March 1938 and he preceded her in death Sept. 16, 1980. A 1934 graduate of Cochranton High School, she attended beautician school after graduation. She retired from Polk State School and Hospital (now Polk Center). Also with her husband she owned and operated a dairy farm in Sandy Lake Township for many years. She was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and Princess Rebekah Lodge 442 of Sandy Lake. She was a former manager of and was very dedicated to the Lakeview Area Meals on Wheels. She loved animals, especially her cat, Lucky. She and her husband helped to raise three foster children. Survivors include three sisters, Hazel Beuchat and her husband, Carl L., of Cochranton, Irene Coon of Meadville and Mary Ellen Curtis of Westlake, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Reisinger and Russell Reisinger; and two sisters, Grace Coon and an infant sister, Geraldine. Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Scott A. Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry T. Corner of Lakeview United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township, Grove City. Alexander J. (Alex) Kovac
HASLETT, Mich. - Alexander J. (Alex) Kovac, 85, died Friday, May 11, 2001, in Haslett after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Duquesne March 3, 1916, and grew up on Round Top. He worked at the American Viscose as a pipefitter in the early 1940s, and volunteered for Meadville Fire Department's Rescue Squad, a service which he was very proud of. In 1955 he and his family moved to Haslett where he joined the Asbestos Workers Union Local 47. He worked many years as a foreman, installing asbestos in commercial buildings. He enjoyed feeding the birds at their home and was very talented at growing flowers, shrubs and vegetable gardens. He was very proud of his children and all of their accomplishments. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Evelyn; five children, Shirley Rosier and her husband, Bob, Linda Moran and her husband, Tim, David Kovac, Russell Kovac and his wife, Sharon, and Raymond Kovac and his wife, Ruth; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Brace and her husband, Don; two brothers, Alfred Kovac, and Donald Kovac and his wife, Genevieve; a special sister-in-law; and a good friend. Calling hours took place. Services were at Palmer-Bush Lansing Chapel, with Pastor Raymond Rohlfs of St. Luke Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Eastlawn Memory Gardens. George W. Burgess Sr.
COCHRANTON - George W. Burgess Sr., 65, of 16837 Mattocks Road, Cochranton, Greenwood Township, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Meadville Medical Center following a short illness. He was born in Greenwood Township Dec. 7, 1935, a son of Mearl A. and Ann Neff Burgess. He married Mary Ann Bitnec Oct. 17, 1953. A licensed auctioneer, he had owned and operated Swamp Acres Auction in Greenwood Township. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 47 years, include six daughters, Debra Ann Johnson and her husband, Kelly, Ardella Chess and her husband, Daryl, and Jeannette Barquist and her husband, Walter, all of Hadley, Caroline DeMoss and her husband, Mike, of Southington, Ohio, Stephanie English and her husband, Jerry, of Clearfield, and Nadene Burgess and her companion, Thomas Godwin, of Hadley; two sons, George W. Burgess Jr. of Hadley and Guy Burgess of Cochranton; 17 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Twila Patterson and Betty Davison, both of Hadley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Chess. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert L. Snyder Home Ltd., 3223 Perry Highway, Sheakleyville. Richard P. Cappellino
Richard P. Cappellino, 80, of 217 Poplar St., Meadville, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Meadville Medical Center. Born in Meadville Sept. 8, 1920, he was a son of Peter and Dorothea Acardi Cappellino. He married Catherine Zuccaro Saturday, June 11, 1949. He attended Meadville schools and was a veteran of World War II stationed with the U.S. Army at Ft. Story, Va., with the 1327 service unit. He had been employed by Abex Corp. for 45 years starting Oct. 16, 1941 and retiring Dec. 1, 1986 as an electrical furnace operator. An active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, he served as a trustee of the Holy Name Society for several years and sold numerous tickets for the annual St. Mary's Church Bazaar and Holy Name Breakfast. He also was a life member of the Italian Civic Club. He was a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather who loved working in his garden and listening to Italian music. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 51 years at home, include two sons, Rick P. Cappellino and his wife, Rose, of Austintown, Ohio, and Steve Cappellino and his wife, Michelle, of Meadville; a daughter, Kathy Jones and her husband, Harry, of Suwanee, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Rich and Kristen Cappellino, Danielle, Nicole and Tony Cappellino, Meaghan and Ryan Mullen, and Michael and Kevin Jones; two sisters, Uda Varricchio of Wickliffe, Ohio, and Theresa Sekel and her husband, Dave, of Meadville; three brothers, Sam Cappellino of Newton Falls, Ohio, Nick Cappellino and his wife, Rose, of Meadville, and James Cappellino and his wife, Madeline, of Crafton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Byham-Miller-Mizner Funeral Home, 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, with a scripture service Friday at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Monsignor Casimir Bogniak, pastor, as celebrant. Joan Palmero Mitchell
Joan Palmero Mitchell, 79, of 31 Park Ave., formerly of 307 Randolph St., Meadville, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. Born in Meadville July 9, 1921, she was a daughter of Joseph and Felicia Rich Palmero. She married Paul Mitchell in November 1967 and he preceded her in death in October 1972. She attended St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. She attended Meadville schools. She retired from the former Avtex Fiber Corp. in 1985 from the processing department where she had been employed since 1941. A loving aunt, she enjoyed watching soap operas and cooking. Survivors include two sisters, Jane Quindardo of Meadville and Mary Grace Miller of Gastonia, N.C.; two nieces, Patty Bossard and Toni Barrett; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, Anthony and Carmen Palmero; and two sisters, Elizabeth Consiglio and Rose Kuban. Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Byham-Miller-Mizner Funeral Home Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with the Rev. Robert Fedor as celebrant. Timothy B. Forcier
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Timothy B. Forcier, 44, of Charlotte, N.C., died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born at Fall River, Mass., Feb. 11, 1957, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Forcier. He married Sally Tartaglione. He was a firefighter and emergency medical technician with the Charlotte Fire Department as well as an instructor at the Charlotte Fire Academy and Central Piedmont Community College. He was active in bone marrow recruitment with the American Red Cross and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Charlotte. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his parents of Pittsburgh; a son, Erik R. Minman of Charlotte; a daughter, Amanda S. Forcier of Charlotte; a brother, Kevin Forcier and his wife, Teresa, of Cambridge Springs; three sisters, Eileen Forcier McLaughlin and Nanette Forcier, both of Philadelphia, and Roseanne Forcier of Sharon; several nieces and nephews; and his wife's parents. The funeral is today at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8947 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, with the Rev. Jerry Woolery officiating. Calling hours were Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of McEwen Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Mint Hill Chapel, Charlotte.
