NEW BLOOMFIELD - C. Arlene Snyder, 86, formerly of Liverpool, died Monday, April 7 at Perry Village. Born Aug. 11, 1916 in Lower Mahanoy Twp., she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Addie Billow Dobson and a graduate of the former Herndon High School. She was formerly employed by Burd and Rodger's Home in Herndon and Ulrich's Poultry in Grantville, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Liverpool. She was the widow of Chester A. Snyder. Surviving are three sisters, Rosie Rebuck of Klingerstown, Nellie Shumaker of Liverpool and Joan Dobson of Herndon; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Zeigler Snyder of Duncannon; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Vernon and a sister, Mabel Jones. Funeral services were held April 10 at Ronald C. L. Smith Funeral Home in Duncannon. Mabel E. Miller
WILLIAMSTOWN - Mabel E. Miller, 95, of Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duncannon, formerly of Williamsport, died Sunday, April 6 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born Nov. 24, 1907 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Hattie Fegley Snyder and was a graduate of the former Wiconisco High School. She was retired from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was the widow of Charles P. Miller. Surviving are three sons, Charles S. of Marysville, Richard L. of Shermans Dale and Terry B. of Elizabethtown; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home in Lykens. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Roy C. Maurer
CAMPBELLTOWN - Roy C. Maurer, 92, of Bel Air, Md., formerly of Campbelltown, died Sunday, April 6 in Mariner's of Bel Air Nursing Home. Born March 27, 1911 in Millersburg, he was the son of the late Joel and Mary Gessner Maurer. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Bel Air and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Union Deposit. He was a retired houseparent and farmer for Milton Hershey School. He was the widower of Alma E. Romberger Maurer. Surviving are a son, Jack of Bel Air, Md.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 10 at Hoover Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Hershey. Burial was in Grand View Memorial Park in Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 1200 Churchville Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014.

Lois I. Swartz
DUNCANNON - Lois I. Swartz, 88, of Duncannon, died Monday, April 7 at Susquehanna Lutheran Village in Millersburg. She was a retired floor worker for Duncannon Dress Factory. She was the widow of Robert Swartz. Surviving are four daughters, Josephine Smith of Duncannon, Joanne Williard of Halifax, Vicki Faust of Dillsburg and Luann Bentz of Carlisle; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Swartz. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.

Brenner Lee Roadcap
MILLERSBURG - Brenner Lee Roadcap, infant son of Derrick and Nicole Roadcap, died Friday, April 4 at Harrisburg Hospital. Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Alex at home; maternal grandparents, Ron and Karen Hoover of Halifax and Jim and Ronda Neubold of Millersburg; paternal grandparents, Gary and Ellen Roadcap of Valley View; Paternal great-grandparents, Ward and Elanor Roadcap of Millersburg; and maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Miller.

Faye Margaret Lydic
MARLTON, NJ - Faye Margaret Kissinger Lydic, 83, died Tuesday, April 8. Born July 13, 1919 in Herndon, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Pearl Kissinger of Herndon. She was the widow of William Neal Lydic. Surviving are three sons, Gregory of West Berlin, NJ, Garry of San Antonio, Tex. and Dennis of Marlton, NJ; a brother, Kenneth Kissinger of Dalmatia; two sisters Jean Hoffman of Herndon and Phyllis Shaffer of Millersburg; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Herndon cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Ruth Arlene Powley
MILLERSTOWN - Ruth Arlene Powley, 71, or 544 Perry Valley Rd., died Tuesday, April 8 at her residence. Born June 13, 1931 in Millerstown RR 3, She was the daughter of the late Willard and Mazie Dimm Roush and was a 1950 graduate of the Greenwood Joint High School. She was employed at the Ben Franklin store in Newport then retired from Wallis Hatchery in Liverpool RR 1. She was a life-long member of Reward United Methodist Church in Millerstown RR 3, where she was a member and teacher of the ladies Sunday school class; a member of the Ladies Aid Society; a volunteer in the church choir; served as the church custodian; assisted with Bible school; was chair person of the annual church picnic and was coordinator of Daffodil Sunday. She continued to support her late husband's focus of the World Vision sponsorship. She was the widow of Earl Elwood Powley. Surviving are three daughters, Deborah L. Kramer of Liverpool RR 1, Sharon L. Powley at home and Sandra K. Derr of Millerstown; four brothers, Willard Jr. and Roy Roush, both of Thompson- town, Clarence Roush of Halifax and Carl Roush of Newport; five sisters, Thelma Goodling of Renova and Mary Rock, Shirley Stroup, Lois Frymoyer and Esther Campbell, all of Millerstown; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Luther Roush. Funeral services were held April 11 at her church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Fred Beitler
LYKENS - Fred Beitler, 69, of 566 North Second St., died Tuesday at home. He was a graduate of the former Williamstown High School and a retired employee of the former AMP Inc. in Williamstown. He was a member of Gratz VFW Post No. 2385 and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was the widower of Dora M. Harter Beitler. Surviving are two sons, Paul of Camp Hill and Grant of Millersburg; a brother, Jacob Fredrick of Pottsville; a sister, Anna Jones of Williamstown; and a grandson. Memorial services were held at the convenience of the family at Calvary United Methodist Cemetery in Wiconisco. John R. Shultz Funeral Home in Lykens was in charge of arrangements.

Bernard J. McGilvery
Harrisburg - Bernard Joseph "BJ" McGilvery II, 29, of 1063 Pond Ridge Drive, died Thursday, April 10 at his home. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of Bernard J. McGilvery of Harrisburg and the late Roberta Perkins McGilvery. He was a graduate of HACC with an associates degree in criminal justice. He was owner of KCI services in Harrisburg and attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Fisherville. Surviving in addition to his father are his wife Tara A. Farner McGilvery, a daughter Alexis Cantone and a brother Matthew McGilvery, all of Harrisburg. Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Fisherville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alexix Cantone Memorial Fund, 158-A Enders Rd., Halifax 17032. Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Elizabethville is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth H. Gaw
LAKELAND, Fla. - Kenneth H. Gaw, 82, of Lakeland, Fla., died Wednesday, March 12 at Park Place Nursing Home. Born April 14, 1920 in Bronx, NY, he moved to Lakeland. from Elizabethtown in 1998. He was a retired truck driver for Halls Motor Transit and a Teamster. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Elizabethtown and Victory Church in Lakeland. He is survived by a son, Lynn H. Gaw of Herndon; a daughter, Linda Huie of Lakeland, Fla; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held March 16 in his church. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.

Jean M. Rodichok
TOWER CITY - Jean M. Rodichok, 66, of 105 E. Grand Ave., died Thursday, April 10 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Dec. 30, 1936 in Gratz, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Mary Schaeffer Scheib and was a graduate of the former Hubley Twp. High School. She was a retired seamstress from the former J.E. Morgan Company in Tower City and was of the Catholic faith. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in Muir. She was the widow of Bernard "Skip" Rodichok and also was preceded in death by her first husband, James Faust and three sisters, Betty Lettich, Anna Sittlinger and Arlene Scheib. Surviving are three sons, Rick J. Faust of Mechanicsburg, David M. Rodichok of Williamstown and Thomas C. Rodichok of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Lois Miller of Millersburg and Eleanor Sallada and Phyliss Hedding, both of Valley View; and a grandson. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. in Tower City. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 6 p.m., prior to the funeral. Millie K. Kauffman
TOWER CITY - Millie K. Kauffman, 88, of 1725 E. Grand Ave., died Thursday, April 10 at ManorCare Health Services in Pottsville. Born Feb. 1, 1915 in Orwin, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Maude Bendigo Woll. She was a retired clerk from Ft. Indiantown Gap and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reinerton; the women's WELCA group and Williams Valley Senior Center. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Earl W. Kauffman; a son, Jack E. of Quakertown; a daughter, Jill M. Rabuck of Tower City; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Neal Woll. Funeral services were held April 14 at her church. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Tower City RD. Roy E. Kissinger
MILLERSBURG - Roy E. Kissinger, 81, of 2 Siding Lane, died Thursday, April 10 at Susquehanna Lutheran Village. Born May 22, 1921 in Lykens Twp., he was the son of the late John D. and Esther Laura Etta Phillips Kissinger. He was a retired coal miner and carpenter and was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Pillow. Surviving are his wife Lenna M. Erdman Kissinger; two daughters, Trena M. Landis of Lebanon and Betty A. Warfel of Millersburg; two brothers, John and Robert Kissinger, both of Gratz; a sister, Mae Starr of Gratz; two grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 14 at James A. Reed Funeral Home in Pillow. Burial was in Pillow Grandview Cemetery.

Harry A. Wiest
DORNSIFE - Harry A. Wiest, 80, of RD 1, died Saturday, April 12 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born June 3, 1922 in Klingerstown, he was the son of the late William and Maudie Mae Klinger Wiest and was educated in the Klingerstown schools. He was a retired farmer and coal miner for Reading Coal and Iron Company. He was the widower of Helen Adams Wiest. Surviving are three daughters, Jean Keller of York, Carol Hensler of San Dieago, Calif. and Wanda Erdman of Herndon RD; a foster son, Glenn Everettf of Montgomery; two brothers, James of Lykens and Billy of Millersburg; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy; two brothers, Charles and Johny Wiest; and three sisters, Daisy Miller, Tillie Willerd and Shirley Wiest. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at the James A. Reed Funeral Home in Pillow. Visitation will be Wednesday at 10 a.m., prior to the funeral. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery in Dalmatia.

Mary E. Machamer
WICONISCO - Mary Elizabeth Machamer, 81, of Upper Allen Twp., formerly of Wiconisco, died Sunday, April 13 at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born Sept. 22, 1921 in Gratz, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Beulah May Row Lubold. She retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot; and was a member of Shiremanstown Church of God; American Legion and VFW Ladies Auxiliaries in Mechanicsburg; Enola Sportsmen's Club and Mechaniscsburg Senior Adult Center. She was the widow of Albert Machamer. Surviving are her daughter, Anna Shumberger of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Helen Grose of Ashland; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17 at Malpezzi Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Henry C. Baugh Jr.
PILLOW - Henry C. Baugh Jr., 81, of Box 35 Creek Rd., formerly of Reading, died Wednesday, April 9 at his home. Born Sept. 15, 1921 in Richmond, he was the son of the late Henry C. Sr. and Annie Kirkham Baugh. He was a retired engineer from the former Reading Railroad and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Alma Marie Baugh. Surviving are two sons, Thomas of Denver Colorado and Gregory of Reading; two daughters, Kathy Hankey of Poconos and Joan Daniels of Pillow; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond "Pete" Baugh. Funeral services were held April 14 at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Reading. Burial was at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Michael E. Walters
JOLIETT - Michael Edward Walters, 41, of 171 Main St., died Friday, April 11 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Pottsville. Born Dec. 20, 1961 in Lebanon, he was the son of Nancy Kleinfelter Walters of Lenanon and the late Weldon Mack Walters. He was an assembler of Manorford Manufactured Homes in Pine Grove and a former member of the Lebanon Fire Company. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 16 years, Connie Madenford Walters, maternal grandmother, Mary Kleinfelter of Lebanon, two daughters Amanda Walters and Cortney Huth, both at home; two brothers, Bobby of Morgantown and Weldon Jr. of Lebanon; two sisters, Anita Kline of Annville and Paula Kline of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Penny Walters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home in Valley View. Viewing will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., prior to the funeral.

DALMATIA - Phillip R. Lahr, 69, of Turkey Hill Rd., died Saturday, April 12 at his home. Born Dec. 22, 1933 in Dalmatia, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Mabel L. Radel Lahr. He was a retired laborer from the former Quakerstate Farms in Klingerstown and was a member of Grace Bible Church in Sunbury. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Bohner Lahr; a daughter, Brenda L. Shaffer of Dalmatia; a brother, Kenneth of Lebanon; three sisters, Edna Chubb and Dora Basom, both of Selinsgrove and Nancy White of Easton; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at James A. Reed Funeral Home in Pillow. Visitation will be held at from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax.

Joseph J. Fenicle Sr.
NEW BLOOMFIELD - Joseph J. Fenicle Sr., 63, of RR 2, died Friday, March 28 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. Born April 17, 1939 in Perry County, he was the son of the late John and Hazel Smith Fenicle. He was retired from H.F. Campbell and Sons Trucking in Millerstown and served with the 104th Calvary, U.S. Army Reserves. Surviving are his wife, Mary D. Fenicle; three sons, Joseph J. Jr. of New Bloomfield, Brian of Millersburg and Charles of Newport; two daughters, Mary Lantz of New Buffalo and Lisa Fenicle of Newport; a brother, Charles of Greenpark; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 31 at Myers Funeral Home in Newport. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery in New Bloomfield. Lloyd E. Wade
MIDDLE PAXTON TWP - Lloyd E. Wade, 97, died Friday, March 28 at West Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born June 5, 1905 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Harvey and Sarah Seiger Wade and was a retired engineer at UGI. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 60 years, Ruth I. Pletz Wade. Surviving are a son, Lloyd H. "Pete" of Harrisburg; a daughter, Geraldine I. Shervanick of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 1 at 1:30 p.m. at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, 4100 Jonestown Rd., Colonial Park. Burial will be in Millers Cemetery.
