Angela M. Snyder
HARRISBURG - Angela M. Snyder, 25, of 1723 Fulton St., died Sept. 10 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. as a result of an accidental drowning in Ocean City, Md.
Born June 3, 1980 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Samuel J. and Carmen K. Collier Gentile of Elizabethville.
She was a graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School, graduated Cum Laude from Susquehanna University and currently was attending Lebanon Valley College pursuing a master's degree.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Elizabethville, a member of the corporate board of Sigma Kappa Sorority, co-chairperson of RNA Young Professionals and a member of Harrisburg Young Professionals.
She worked as a credit analyst at Mid Penn Bank in Harrisburg.
Surviving are her husband, David M. Snyder; two sisters, Jessica J. Gentile and Christine L. Gentile, both of Harrisburg; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; and maternal great-grand-
mother.
Services were held Sept. 16 at Salem Lutheran Church. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville.

Tammy L. Lubold
TOWER CITY - Tammy L. Lubold, 38, of 42 Porter Rd., died Sept. 11 at her home.
Born April 8, 1967 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Joseph and Jean Leitzel Hawk, with whom she resided.
She was a member of New Hope in Christ at Maranatha Chapel in Berrysburg.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Lubold Jr. of Berrysburg; a son, Joseph A. Matter of Lykens; two daughters, Nicole L. Matter of Tower City and Ashley M. Matter of Lykens; a sister, Dianne M. Bender of Tower City; two brothers, Keith A. Hawk of Fredericksburg and John A. "Jake" Hawk of Millersburg; and a granddaughter.
Services will be private.

Betty E. Enders
WICONISCO - Betty E. Enders, 80, died Sept. 13 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Hochreider and three brothers, Marlin, Dean and Elwood Ritzel.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Enders; three daughters, Pat Shertzer of Eliza-bethville, Dorothy Dorman of Miami, Fla. and Gloria Usuka of Loyalton; a sister, Barbara Shissler of Sunbury; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sept. 19 at Calvary United Methodist Cemetery.

Cloyd E. "Ed" Reitz
REBUCK - Cloyd E. "Ed" Reitz, 90, died Sept. 15 at the home of his daughter, Leah Underkoffler of Herndon RR, with whom he resided.
Born Jan. 13, 1915 in Washington Twp., he was the son of the late Daniel and Jane Schreffler Reitz.
He was educated in the Herndon area schools.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.
He was a retired carpenter with H. B. Alexander Construction Company, Inc. of Harrisburg.
He was a member of Himmel's Lutheran Church of Rebuck; life member of the Herndon Fire Company; life member of the Alvin E. Long American Legion Post No. 504 at Mandata; member of the Keystone Carpenter's Union Local No. 287 of Lebanon; and a former member of the Mahanoy Lodge No. 551, IOOF of Dornsife RR.
He was the widower of Catherine L. Drumheller Reitz. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Allen Reitz and two grandsons.
Surviving are a son, Lamar E. Reitz of Klingerstown; a daughter, Leah N. Underkoffler of Herndon RR; a sister, Violet Rebuck of Shamokin RR; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 19 at Himmel's Church. Burial was in Himmel's Cemetery.

Thelma Lucille "Lucy" Sweigard
HALIFAX - Thelma Lucille "Lucy" Sweigard, 77, of 299 Million Dollar Rd., died Sept 15 at her daughter's home.
Born March 26, 1928 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Lee R. and Thelma Rhinehart Hoffman.
She was a member of St. Peter's "Fetterhoff's" Luthe-ran Church of Halifax; Order of the Amaranth No. 134 of Millerburg; OES Glen Chapter No. 425 of Lykens; and a past member of the American Farm Women's Association; and Halifax Area Garden Club.
She was the widow of Charles E. Sweigard, Jr. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald L. Hoffman.
Surviving are a son, Michael A. Sweigard of Harrisburg; four daughters, Suzanne K. Witmer of Halifax, Carol L. Eppley of Halifax, Karen E. Heikes of Millville, Del. and Helen E. Enders of Halifax; a sister, Gladys M. Pringle of Port Royal; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 19 at Hoover Funeral Home in Millersburg. Burial was at Long's Cemetery in Halifax.

Raymond L. Williams
HERNDON, RR - Raymond L. Williams, 58, died Sept. 15 at the Sunbury Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 24, 1946 in Herndon RR, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Alma Whery Williams.
He was educated in the Mahanoy Joint High School at Mandata.
He was a U. S. Army veteran, having served as a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam.
He was a laborer and coal miner.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
Surviving are two sisters, Arlene Wehry of Klingerstown and Daisy Lenker of Enola; and a brother, Ervin Williams of Millersburg.
Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.

Robert R. Shomper
TEMPE, Ariz. - Robert R. Shomper, 78, died Sept. 13 at Friendship Village.
He was the son of the late John and Esther Challenger Shomper.
He was a 1944 graduate of the former Lykens High School.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W. II.
He retired from Atlantic Richfield in Los Angeles.
He was involved with the Boy Scouts in the Harrisburg area.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Schmid Shomper and four sisters, Elizabeth Fischer of Elizabethtown, Faye Welker of Elizabethville, Gail Long of Millersburg RD and Anita Schmiedel of Dover.
Services were held Sept. 18 at the Friendship Village Chapel.

Elwood W. Wert
SHIREMANSTOWN - Elwood W. Wert, 92, of 129 East Green St., died Sept. 13 at Messiah Village in Mechanicsburg.
Born June 18, 1913 in Millersburg, he was the son of the late William W. and Erma S. Noll Wert.
He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and was a recipient of the Silver Star.
He was a retired clerk at Mechanicsburg Naval Depot.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Mechanicsburg, American Legion Post No. 326, VFW Post No. 6704, Charter Member of Mechanicsburg Men's Club and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
He was the widower of Alvena K. Lenker Wert.
Surviving are a son, David Wert of Newberg, Ore.; two brothers, Walter Wert of Nevada and William Wert of Florida; a sister, Catherine Spicher of Hagerstown, Md.; and a grandson.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at David's Church Cemetery in Killinger.

Robert J. Miller, Sr.
TOWER CITY - Robert J. Miller, Sr., 82, formerly of 1508 E. Grand Ave., died at his daughter's home in Williams-town, with whom he resided.
Born Sept. 7, 1923 in Tower City, he was the son of the late Harry and Myrtle Jones Miller.
He was a W.W. II Veteran of the U.S. Airforce and the Navy Reserve.
He worked for the former Cooper's Bakery and later owned and operated the Tower City Bake Shop with his wife. He was a retired supervisor from PennDot in Harrisburg.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
He was a member of the American Legion.
He was the widower of the Juanita Coleman Miller. He also was preceded in death by a stepson, Charles Russell; five brothers, Allen, Paul, Joe, Gene and Henry Miller; a sister, Joyce Ponti; and two stepsisters, Eleanore Laing and Naomi Zerby.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley C. Malick of Williams-town; three sons, James R. Miller of Williamstown, John R Miller of Calif., and Robert J. "Fritz" Miller, Jr. of Muir; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery in Tower City.

Marlin R. Whitcomb, Sr.
TOWER CITY - Marlin R. Whitcomb, Sr., 84, of 715 E. Wiconisco Ave., died Sept. 17 at his home.
Born July 21, 1921 in Gratz, he was the son of the late George and Eartha Williard Whitcomb.
He was a W.W. II U.S. Army Veteran.
He was retired from the former TRW in Harrisburg.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Tower City and the U.S. Harness Racing Association.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Clair and a sister, Myrtle Engle.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Ida Mae Hoffman Whitcomb; a son, Marlin R. Jr. of Williamstown; a daughter, Linda L. Reed of Lykens; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 11:30 a.m. from his church. Burial with full military honors will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

VALLEY VIEW - Anna Elizabeth Williams, 96, formerly of 206 Gap St., died Sept. 16 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 29, 1908 in Red Cross, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Vesta Erdman Zartman.
She retired from the former Philmark Manufacturing Co. in Valley View. She also was part owner of the former Midland Theater in Valley View.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley View.
She was a charter member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens, a member of the Mahantongo Senior Citizens, Gratz Historical Society, American Legion Post No. 575 Auxuliary and the Valley View Fire Co. Auxiliary.
She was the widow of Earl E. Williams. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen E. Artz; three brothers, Daniel, Fred and Clarence Zartman; two sisters, Carrie Snyder and Mary Barnhardt; and a grandson.
Surviving are four grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Church of God Cemetery in Valley View.

UPPER ALLEN TWP. - Cindy Mae Wise, 56, died Sept. 16 at home.
She was the daughter of Marie Casner of Elizabethville and the late Neal Wise.
She was a 1967 graduate of the Upper Dauphin Area High School.
She was employed at IBM.
She was a member of American Legion Post No. 109 in Mechanicsburg and the IBM Golf League.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Troy Casner and a stepfather, James Casner.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Wise of Mechanics-burg; a brother, Gary Wise of Elizabethville; and four sisters, Virginia Enders and Sheila Barder, both of Elizabethville, Julia Warfel of Duncannon and Robin Nestor of Lykens.
Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. at Malpezzi Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Visitations will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville.
