MILLERSBURG - Cordelia M. Neitz, 92, formerly of Millersburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 26 at ManorCare in Camp Hill. Born March 27, 1911 in Millersburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Jalania Neagley Miller. She was a graduate from Millersburg High School and received her B.S. in Library Science from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY. She also received her teacher's certificate from Susquehanna University and her master's in education from Temple University in Philadelphia. She organized school libraries for the State Library System in Harrisburg and worked as a senior file clerk in the Governor's office; a cataloger for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in Washington, D.C.; a library assistant at Pennsylvania State University in State College; a cataloger for the U.S. Dept. of State in Washington, D.C.; a senior cataloger for Columbia University in New York; a catalog librarian and assistant professor at Dickinson College in Carlisle; acting librarian and associate professor at Dickinson College; and librarian for the Cumberland County Historical Society in Carlisle. She was a member of the American Library Association; Pennsylvania Library Association; American Association of University Professors; Metropolitan Opera Guild; Cumberland County Historical Society; and Historical Society of Millersburg and Upper Paxton Township. She was the widow of J. Donald Neitz and was preceded in death by four sisters, Emma and Harriet Miller and Gertrude Kehler, all of Millersburg, and Kathryn Witmer of Pine Grove; and a brother Herbert Miller of Fullerton, Calif. Surviving are her nephews, Donald E. Kehler of Highspire, Dale M. Kehler of Philadelphia and Herbert Miller Jr. of Fullerton, Calif.; and nieces, Jane W. Faust of Fleetwood, Carol W. Lengel of Harrisburg, and Kathy Kleppin of New Jersey. Services were held Nov. 29 from Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Millersburg. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg. Dolly S. Donton
ORWIN - Dolly S. Donton, 77, of 18 Snyder Ave., died Sunday, Nov. 30 at the home of her son in Tower City. Born June 29, 1926 in Tower City, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Annie Rabuck Deibler. She was a retired seamstress from the garment industry and also worked in the cafeteria for the Williams Valley School District. She was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Tower City Senior Center where she served as past president. She also was a member of Williams Valley Senior Citizens. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Fred R. Donton Sr.; two sons, Fred R. Jr. of Tower City and Michael T. of Dauphin; a daughter, Kathryn J. Daub of Tower City; a brother, John Deibler of Shiremanstown; 10 grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. from St. Peter's Cemetery in Orwin. Jay T. Wolfe
ELIZABETHVILLE - Jay T. Wolfe, 67, of 514 Henninger Road, died Thursday, Nov. 27 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg. Born Jan. 18, 1936 in Washington Township, he was the son of the late Clarence J. and Emalia Williams Wolfe. He worked for Metal Industries in Elizabethville and was a member of the Crossroads of Life Apostolic Church, also in Elizabethville. He is survived by his wife, Joyce I. Moyer Wolfe; a son, Kris A. Wolfe of Lykens; three sisters, Anna Whitcomb of Elizabethville, Mae Kessler of Millersburg and Mary Shumaker of Bainbridge; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert and a sister Clara Wertz. Memorial services were held Nov. 30 at his church. Burial was private and at the family's convenience. Gerald L. Deitrich
Elizabethville - Gerald L. Deitrich, 79, of 553 West Main Street died Thursday, Nov. 27 at SCCI in Harrisburg. Born March 5, 1924 in Elizabethville, he was the son of the late Harry and Millie Mae Hoffman Dietrich. He was retired from Harrisburg Dairies in Harrisburg; and was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Elizabethville; a 50-year member of Ashlar Lodge F&AM No. 570 in Lykens; a life member of Reliance Hose Company in Elizabethville; a member of the American Legion Post No. 404; and a member of the Upper Dauphin Lions Club. Surviving are his wife, Gladys A. Hockenbroch Dietrich; a son, Richard L. Dietrich of Mechanicsburg; a stepson Douglas M. Snyder of Ephrata; a sister Margaret Wilt of Millersburg; a sister-in-law Eileen Mattis, Elizabethville; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grand- children. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Jesse G. Snyder; two brothers and eight sisters. Services were held Dec. 2 at from Hoover Funeral Home in Elizabethville. Interment with military honors was in Summit Cemetery in Shamokin Twp. Memorial donations may be sent to his church at 25 E. Main Street, Elizabethville, 17023.

Brian D. Walk
ASHLAND - Brian D. Walk, 50, of 461 Hinkel Drive, formerly of Akron, Ohio, died Thursday, Nov. 27 at his home. Born Sept. 30, 1953 in Akron, he was the son of the late Homer and Eleanor Drain Walk and was a 1972 graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield, Ohio. He was employed as a construction/millwright worker from Morris Kreitz and Son Construction Company in Wyomissing and was a member of the Carpenter/Millwright Union, Local No. 76 in Hazelton; Mogadore Moose Lodge No. 1082 in Mogadore, Ohio; Ashland Lodge No. 294 F&AM in Ashland; Griscom Royal Arch, Chapter No. 219 in Ashland; Scottish Rite Temple 32nd Degree of Bloomsburg; and Lavelle Fire Company. Surviving are his wife of eight years, Vicki L. Dengler Walk; a son, Matthew Walk of Uniontown, Ohio; a stepson, Brent S. Smith of Hegins RD; a stepdaughter, Monica Y. Maser of Hegins; a brother, Charles of Fort Myers, Fla.; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda M. Allen. Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. from Christ's United Lutheran Church, 437 Airport Road, Ashland. Burial will be at a later date in Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. Wallace J. Zacker
WESTVILLE GROVE, N.J. - Wallace "Vats" "George" Joseph Zacker, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 27 at the home of his son in Millersville, Md. Born Sept. 28, 1916 in Kulpmont, he was the son of the late Felix and Anna Reppi Zacker. He and his brother operated a coal breaker near Shamokin, having hauled coal to Baltimore, Md. and New Jersey. Later, he was employed as an electronics technician for RCA of Camden N.J.; and for 30 years at the Philadelphia Navel Shipyard. He was a sergeant tech 4, radio technician in the U.S. Army during World War II, having served in the 2nd Armored Division, the 14th Armored Field Artillery, HQ Battery. He served in combat from 1942 to 1945 in the invasions of North Africa, Sicily, Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He attended Blessed Hope Community Church in Westville Grove, N.J. for many years. He was the widower of Esther V. Huntzinger Zacker, formerly of Hegins; a son, David of Millersville, Md.; a daughter, Judith Howell of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight brothers, Louis, Walter, Anthony, Frank, Stanley, Edward and Joseph Zacker; and a sister, Mary Kraft. Funeral services were held Dec. 2 from St. John's United Methodist Church in Hegins. Burial was in the church cemetery. Helen S. Kinsinger
HALIFAX - Helen S. Kinsinger, 96, of 424 N. Fourth Street, died Saturday, Nov. 29 at Susquehanna Lutheran Village in Millersburg. Born Dec. 8, 1906 in Jackson Twp., she was the daughter of the late Ira and Jennie Roush Keiter and was educated in the Jackson Twp. schools. She was retired from the former Willets Shoe Factory in Halifax and was a member of St. Peter's "Fetterhoff's" Lutheran Church, also in Halifax, where she served as former organist, pianist and treasurer. She also was a former member of Farm Women's Group No. 12. She was the widow of Daniel H. Kinsinger, and also was preceded in death by three brothers, Oscar, Charles and Russell Keiter. Surviving are nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. from her church. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery in Halifax. John C. Stence
MILLERSBURG - John C. Stence, 79, of 990 Medical Road, formerly of 191 Stence Lane, died Saturday, Nov. 29 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg. Born July 13, 1924 in Upper Paxton, he was the son of the late Fred and Emma Aucher Stence. He was a retired custodian from the Millersburg Area High School and a member of Free Grace Brethren in Christ Church in Millersburg. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Grace H. Stence; three sons, Lester and Steven, both of Millersburg, and Rick of Manheim; a daughter, Amanda Schreiber of Millersburg; two brothers, Frank of Harrisburg and Leonard of Peru; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 10:30 a.m. from his church. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30, prior to services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Earl Troup
CHAMBERSBURG - Rev. Earl Albert Troup, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 26 at the Shook Home. Born June 15, 1916 in Steelton, he was the son of the late Albert Earl Troup and Mary Elizabeth Waganbaugh Troup Morrison. For 33 years he ministered in Evangelical Congregational Churches in many areas including Wiconisco, Berrysburg, Gratz, Pillow, Dauphin, Herndon and Mandata. He also served as statistician and treasurer for the EC Conference. He was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Congregational Church in Gratz and most recently attended Mount Pleasant United Brethren in Christ Church in Scotland. He enjoyed woodworking and made wooden toys which were instrumental in financing construction of several mission churches in Honduras. He was the widower of Anna Alice Bean Troup, his wife of 51 years; his stepfather, Rev. Clyde Emerson Morrison; and infant son, John Emerson Troup. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ellen Hain of Chambersburg, Martha Anderson of Moweaqua, Ill., and Miriam Patten of Middletown; two sons, Mark Earl Troup of Chambersburg and Michael Troup of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held Nov. 28 at his church and Nov. 29 at Bunker Hill. Burial was in Bunker Hill Evangelical Congregational Church Cemetery. TOWER CITY - Jean L. Long, 70, of RD1 Box 99, died Monday, Nov. 24 at her home. Born March 4, 1933 in Keffers, she was the daughter of Audry Walbert Smith of Good Springs and the late Harold Smith. She and her family operated Longs Grocery Store from 1970 to 1977, and also worked as a seamstress from the former Bobbi Rogers dress factory. She was last employed by Sears Department Store in Frackville. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Tower City Legion Auxiliary; Women of the Moose, Tower City Chapter; Gratz VFW Auxiliary; and Order of Eastern Star, Glen Chapter in Lykens. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband of 50 years Elmer L. Long; a son, Terry L. of Maryland; four daughters, Debra L. Fowler of Florida, Audri L. Kalinowski of Sugar Loaf and Denise L. Reinoehl and Jean L. Schorr, both of Tower City; 12 grandchildren and two great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Nov. 29 from the chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Clair N. Westover
SACRAMENTO - Clair Nathan Westover, 87, of Marienville, formerly of Sacramento, died Wednesday, Nov. 26 at Kane Community Hospital in Kane. Born June 19, 1916 in Westover, he was the son of the late Emory G. and Leah M. Keirn Westover. He was a retired maintenance employee from Hightstown Sewage Treatment Facility in Hightstown, N.J. and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He attended Weishample Church of God in Weishample. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, May Beck Westover; and a sister, Bernice Simmons of Nampa, Idaho. Funeral services were held Nov. 29 from McDonald Funeral Home in Marienville. Burial was at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
