Wyona Liddick-Monte
MILLERSBURG - Wyona Liddick-Monte, 93, of Miami, Fla., formerly of Millersburg, died Dec. 30, 2003 in Miami. She was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and was a long time resident of Harrisburg; and in recent years Millersburg and Lady Lake, Fla. She attended Grace United Methodist Church while living in Millersburg. Surviving are a grandson, David Cugat; a step- daughter, Joanne Chubb of Millersburg; three step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and two step great-great-grandchildren. Graveside memorial services were held at the convenience of the family at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg. Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Millersburg was in charge of arrangements.

Vernon A. Troutman
DAUPHIN - Vernon A. Troutman, 54, of Dauphin, died Tuesday, Jan. 20 at his home. He was the son of Ralph and Alice Brown Troutman of Tower City. He was employed by Property Management, Inc. and attended Stone Glen Church of God in Dauphin. He was a member of Upper Dauphin Umpires Association and Dauphin Fire House Social Hall, and served 21 years with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Surviving are his wife, Patricia A. Gross Troutman; two step-daughters, Tammy Nerhood of Beavertown and Nicole Garr of Halifax; two step-sons, David Hook of Middleburg and Anthony Hook of Tower City; two sisters, Joan Dinger of Hummelstown and Beverly Lenker of Tower City; 11 grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Memorial services were held Jan. 27 from Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 98 South Enola Drive, PO Box 266, Enola 17025; or American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 3211 North Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg 17110.

Merrill B. Martin
MILLERSBURG - Merrill B. Martin, 86, of Hamburg N.Y., formerly of Millersburg, died Saturday, Jan. 24 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. He was the son of the late Samual and Gertrude Philips Martin. He was employed by the former Muskin Shoe Factory in Millersburg and later worked as a security guard in Buffalo. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Surviving are four nieces, Carol Appleby of Dillsburg, Giselle Ditty of Halifax and Betty Snyder and Dawn Sweger, both of Millersburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Martin, formerly of Millersburg. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville. Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

Jennie F. Miller
MILLERSBURG - Jennie F. Miller, 84, of 616 E. Union St., died Friday, Jan. 30 at the Kepler Home in Elizabethville. Born in Dalmatia, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Mary Zeiders Engel. She retired from the former Muskin Shoe factory in Millersburg and was a charter member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Millersburg RD. She was the widow of Allen Miller. Surviving are three brothers, Allen Engel of Highspire, Charles Engel of Dalmatia and Edwin Engel of Philadelphia; and a sister, Margaret Seigfried of Shippensburg. Services will be held Thursday Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Klinger Road in Millersburg. Burial will be in Sweitzer's Memorial Cemetery in Berrysburg. Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Millersburg is handling arrangements.

William Roadcap Jr.
MILLERSBURG - William C. Roadcap Jr., 55, of 1625 Route 209, formerly of 411 Berrysburg Road, died Sunday, Jan. 25 at his home. Born July 20, 1948 in Halifax Twp., he was the son of the late William C. and Iona Custer Roadcap and was a 1966 graduate of Halifax Area High School. He was a 34-year employee with IBM in Mechanicsburg, and a member of Hillside Christian Fellowship in Millersburg. He was a volunteer and former member of the board of directors of the Capital Area United Way, and held memberships with Central Pennsylvania Corvette Club; Single Action Shooters Society and Millersburg Sportsman's Club. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Sherry Forsythe Roadcap, a son, Matthew John Roadcap of Charleston, W. Va.; a daughter, Toni Henry of Marietta, Ohio; a brother, Jack Roadcap of Harrisburg; a sister, Charlotte Snyder of Halifax; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 30 from Hillside Christian Fellowship Church in Millersburg. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax. Lucy H. Esterline
WILLIAMSTOWN - Lucy H. Esterline, 93, formerly of Williamstown, died Monday, Jan. 26 at Susquehanna Lutheran Village in Millersburg. Born Dec. 4, 1910 in Williamstown, she was the daughter of the late James and Annie Updegrave Geist. She was retired from the garment industry and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she served on alter guild and participated in the women's club. She also was a member of the Williams Valley Senior Citizens. She was the widow of Marlin F. "Jerry" Esterline, and also was preceded in death by a daughter, Constance McSurdy. Surviving are a son, John M. "Jack" of Williamstown; three daughters, Carol J. Kraft of North Carolina, Joyce A. Hartenstine of New York and Elizabeth G. Ricker of Elizabethville; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 31 from Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. in Williamstown. Burial was in the Methodist Cemetery.

Ella K. Idell
HALIFAX - Ella K. Idell, 95, a resident at the Kinkora Pythian Nursing Home in Duncannon, formerly of 1028 N. River Road, Halifax, died Friday Jan. 30 at the nursing home. Born in Washington Twp, she was the daughter of the late William and Kate Keefer Snyder. She was retired from Willit's Shoe factory in Halifax and was a member of St. Peter's "Fetterhoff's" Lutheran Church and Farm Women Group. She was active in the Silver Belles and enjoyed gardening. She was the widow of Paul W. Idell, and also was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a son, Karl of Halifax; a daughter, Jane Wenger of Lancaster; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services will be held Wed. Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in the adjacent Spring Grove Cemetery. A time of fellowship with the family will held following the service. James B. Mace
SPRING GLEN - James B. Mace, 80, of 44 Donaldson Road, Tremont, formerly of Spring Glen, died Sunday, Feb. 1 at Tremont Nursing Home. Born June 29, 1923 in Lykens Twp., he was the son of the late James F. and Erma Aquila Wise Mace. He was a retired self-employed truck driver and a member of Simeon United Lutheran Church in Gratz. He was the widower of Bernice Wiest Mace. Surviving are three sons, Russell Kerstetter of Spring Glen, Dennis R. Mace of Hegins and Guy L. Mace of Gowen City; a daughter, Suzanne Tallman of Tower City; three sisters, Elsie Straub of Dauphin, Dorothy Newbaum of Millersburg and Betty Shade of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Herbert Mace of Tower City; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wed. Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. from his church. Burial will be in Gratz Union Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. James W. Savidge
TOWER CITY - James W. Savidge, 63, of 2045 E. Wiconisco Street, died Saturday, Jan. 24 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Pottsville. Born April 30, 1940 in Hegins, he was the son of the late Wilmer L. and Gertrude E. Limbert Savidge. He was a retired self-employed contractor and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Tower City. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Lykens Valley Hunting Club. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Joan L. Brower Savidge; a son, Todd J. of Oxford; two daughters, Tammie J. Savidge and Gaye A. Ritzman, both of Williams-town; and seven grandchildren. Memorial services were held Jan. 27 from his church. Burial was at the convenience of the family in St. Peters Cemetery in Orwin. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, E. Lorraine J. Coleman
LYKENS - Lorraine J. Coleman Sedesse, 75, of Millersburg, formerly of Lykens, died Sunday, Jan. 25 at home. She was a member of Lykens United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Peter R. Sedesse Sr. Surviving are three sons, Peter R. Jr. of Wiconisco Twp., Paul C. and Daniel A. of Florida; a daughter, Deborah A. Putnam of Etters; nine grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at the convenience of the family at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville. John R. Shultz Funeral Home in Lykens was in charge of arrangements.

Bruce Oliver Bobb
HERNDON - Bruce Oliver Bobb, 85, of Riverside Ave., died Monday, Jan. 26 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Born Feb. 1, 1918 in Allentown, he was the son of the late William and Tamie Bohner Bobb. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Zion Stone Valley United Lutheran Church in Dalmatia and VFW Post No. 2385 of Lykens Twp. In addition, he served as Herndon Borough secretary for many years. Surviving are his wife, Erma Keen Bobb; a son, Mitchell O. Bobb of Herndon; a daughter, Janette Witmer of Millerstown; three brothers, Ned of Allentown and William and Dean, both of Herndon; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 31 from James A. Reed Funeral Home in Pillow. Burial was in Stone Valley Cemetery in Dalmatia.

Marco Diaz-Garcia
HALIFAX - Marco A. Diaz-Garcia, 17, of Halifax, died Friday, Jan. 30 at home. He was a junior at Dauphin County Vo-Tech and an avid fan of professional wrestling. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Rachel and Ralph Manning; two brothers, Jose and Sebastian; a sister, Alexandra; and grandparents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 1:30 p.m. from Musselman Funeral Home and Cremation Services n Lemoyne. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Four Diamonds Fund, PO Box 852, Hershey 17033.

Palmer S. Merwine
WEISHAMPLE - Palmer S. Merwine, 83, of 947 Deep Creek Road in Mabel, formerly of Weishample, died Friday, Jan. 30 at home. Born Oct. 26, 1920 in Weishample, he was the son of the late Earl and Ida Yoder Merwine. He was a retired foreman from Kocher Coal Company in Valley View and was a member of St. John's "Kimmel's" United Church of Christ in Ashland. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran, having served in World War II. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Nellie Mildred Skuches Merwine; a son, George of Williamstown; two daughters, Jean Neumeister of Hegins RD and Adele Shepard, Blue Mountain; a brother, Lewis of Ashland RD; a sister, Fern Troup of Ashland RD; six grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. he was preceded in death by three brothers, Allen, Arthur and Walter Merwine. Funeral services were held Feb. 2 from his church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, 1263 Deep Creek Road, Ashland 17921.
