Miller, 71, active member of Koppel UM Church
Jane Miller, 71, of Third Avenue, Koppel, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, in her residence, following a brief illness.
She was born July 5, 1932, in Ohioville, Pa., to the late Leslie Rankin and the late Eulah Douds Rankin.
She was married July 12, 1952, to James L. Miller, who survives.
An active member of the Koppel United Methodist Church, Mrs. Miller served as a longtime member and current president of the church board.
She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of several card clubs.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James L. and Lynda Miller of West Middlesex and David L. and Lonnie Miller of East Palestine, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Bill D'Amico of Wampum and Lee Ann and Keith Brockman of East Palestine, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Pauline Z. Petrulis of Detroit Lakes, Minn.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle S. Rankin; a half-sister, Ruth Blair; and a half-brother, Kenneth Rankin.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.
The Rev. Cherrie Andres of the Koppel United Methodist Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the Clinton Cemetery, Wampum.

JACK GREEN
Green, 81, mortgage officer, branch manager
Jack Green, 81, of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, Pa., died Thursday, June 10, 2004, in the Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown.
He was born in Canonsburg, Pa., to the late George Harden and Ada Farthing Green. He was married on June 27, 1946, to the former Bettie L. Turner, who survives.
Prior to retiring in 1989, Mr. Green was employed as a mortgage officer and branch manager by Hill Financial in Newtown. He was previously employed by its predecessor, Newtown Savings and Loan, as vice president.
He served in the U.S. Army as a technical sergeant during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and was a 50-year member of the Ellwood City Masonic Lodge 599, Free and Accepted Masons and the Harrisburg Consistory.
His hobbies included refinishing furniture.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian S. and Linda Roles Green of Frenchtown, N.J.; a daughter, Kathleen L Green of Grafton, W.Va.; three grandsons; a great-granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Jeanette Johnson Green; a brother, Harden Green; and an infant brother.
Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, in the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.

Glidden, 58, millwright, veteran of Army Reserves
James Edward Glidden Sr., 58, of 3044 McClelland Ave., New Castle, died at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in Jameson Memorial Hospital.
Born May 18, 1946, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Edward Clark and Virginia Mae Wagner Glidden.
He was married June 10, 1967, to the former Nancy Winters, who survives.
Mr. Glidden had worked as a millwright at Ellwood Quality Steels in New Castle from 1986 to the present.
He previously had been employed for 22 years as a crane operator at the former Babcock & Wilcox Co. in Beaver Falls.
Mr. Glidden served for six years in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of Shenango United Presbyterian Church in New Castle.
He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and was a member of the Rapid Tappets Car Club in New Castle and Corvettes of PA. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Glidden is survived by a daughter, Tammy Douglas of Sharon, Pa.; a son and daughter-in-law, James Jr. and Melissa Glidden of New Castle; two brothers, Richard Glidden and Gary Glidden, both of New Castle; two sisters, Kathy Kirkwood of New Castle and Sandy Shoaff of Plain Grove, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by two brothers, Robert Glidden and Edward Glidden Jr.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Smith Funeral Home, 310 West Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday.
Interment will be in Neshannock Cemetery, New Wilmington.
Full military honors will be observed by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.

MILDRED H. PEARSALL
Pearsall, 69, nurse at EC Hospital, Hill View Manor
Mildred H. Pearsall, 69, of 1401 Woodside Ave., Wayne Township, Ellwood City, died at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, in the Ellwood City Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 13, 1935, in Ellport, she was a daughter of the late J. Carl and Martha Hermann Gallaher.
She was married Feb. 24, 1956, to William C. Pearsall Sr., who survives.
Mrs. Pearsall was a 1953 graduate of Lincoln High School and earned her nursing degree from the Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1956.
For 10 years she was the director of nursing at Hillview Manor and received commendations from the state for superior ratings during each of her years.
She also had worked at the Mary Evans Extended Care Unit and had been charge nurse of the recovery room at the Ellwood City Hospital.
Mrs. Pearsall was Presbyterian by faith and was a member of Pi Omicrom Sorority.
She was devoted to her family and loved her dogs.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Marcy L. Pearsall of Ellwood City; a son, William C. Pearsall Jr. of Harmony; a grandson, Daniel William Pearsall; a sister, Imogene Stich of Freedom; a special friend, Denise Harker; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Monday in the Joseph A. Tomon Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport, with the Rev. John Wiseman officiating.

Meneice, 61, LHS grad, retired from Boeing Corp.
Gary Richard Meneice, 61, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Ellwood City and Washington D.C., died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, in Baltimore.
Born in Ellwood City, he was a son of the late J. Raymond Meneice, who died in 1962, and the late Doris Irene Meneice, who died in 1998.
Mr. Meneice was retired from the Boeing Corporation in Washington D.C.
He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and attended Clarion University and Youngstown State University.
Surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Jens Bisgaard of Palm Bay, Fla. and Judith and James Dillon of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Meneice was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother, James R. Meneice.
Private graveside services will be held next Saturday, Dec. 18, in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, with the Rev. Mauro Cautela, pastor of Holy Redeemer Parish, officiating.

Schwartz baby dies
Jason "Trouper" Schwartz Jr., 20 days old, of 998 Elmira St., Monaca, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, in Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh. He had been ill since birth.
He was born Aug. 26, 2003, to Jason Schwartz Sr. and Nicole Flynn of Monaca.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Shy Lee Schwartz of Monaca; his grandparents, Lawrence and Sharon Kadunce and Leanne and Paul Weller, all of Ellwood City, and Jeff and Amanda Schwartz of Monaca; his great-grandparents, Judy Schwartz and Tressa Hall, both of Ellwood City, and Mary Ellen Binger of Darlington; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private visiting hours will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the private service at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City. The Rev. Clarence Drake of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church will officiate.
Private interment will be in Lillyville Cemetery.

Buckman, 31, NC resident, Riverside High School grad
Denise Hedglin Buckman, 31, of 906 Marshall Ave., New Castle, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004.
Born Nov. 30, 1972, in Ellwood City, she was a daughter of Gary Hedglin of Koppel and Mary MacKanick Sowash of Florida.
She was married to Joseph Buckman of New Castle, who survives.
Mrs. Buckman was a 1991 graduate of Riverside High School and was affiliated with the First Church of God in Ellwood City.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two sons, Dylan and Austin Bonzo of Beaver Falls; her foster father and grandfather, LaVerne J. Hedglin Sr. of Fombell; two sisters, Billy Jo Hedglin of Mississippi and Lisa Jones of Monaca; a brother, Gary Hedglin Jr. of Pittsburgh; and her grandmother, Geraldine Stenger of North Sewickley Township.
Mrs. Buckman was preceded in death by her foster mother and grandmother, Mary Velda Hedglin.

CHARLOTTE SADIE YOKES
Yokes, 85, Aetna-Standard retiree, Eastern Star member
Charlotte Sadie Yokes, 85, formerly of Austintown, Ohio, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, in Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1919, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late James Franklin and Sadie Graybill Wiandt.
She was married June 14, 1941, to William John Yokes, who preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1942.
Her husband was lost at sea when his military escort ship was torpedoed in the Atlantic Ocean during World War II. In 1943, she christened the Destroyer USS Yokes after her husband.
Mrs. Yokes worked for 47 years as an executive secretary in payroll for Aetna-Standard, first in Youngstown and later in Ellwood City, from 1952 until her retirement in 1987. She moved back to Youngstown in 1990.
Mrs. Yokes was a 1936 graduate of Chaney High School and a 1940 graduate of Youngstown College.
She was Baptist by faith and was a member of Eastern Star of Western Pennsylvania, serving as Worthy Matron in 1971, and the VFW Women's Auxiliary.
Surviving are two nieces and their husbands, Carole and David Doll of Austintown and Helen and Gary Keel of Toledo, Ohio; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Mrs. Yokes was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by a sister, Helen Rager; and two brothers, Russell and Raymond Wiandt.

Wiltrout, 70, owner and operator of Wiltrout Oil Co.
James E. Wiltrout, 70, of Prospect, Pa., died Friday morning, July 30, 2004, in Butler Memorial Hospital, following an illness.
Born Nov. 9, 1933 in Ellwood City, he was a son of the late Raymond and Agnes Phelps Wiltrout.
In earlier years, Mr. Wiltrout was the owner of four Gulf Gasoline stations, one in Portersville, one in Prospect and two in Butler. After closing them, he owned and operated Wiltrout Oil Company in Prospect.
Mr. Wiltrout was a member of Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City and enjoyed boating on the Allegheny River and on Lake Erie.
Surviving are his friend and companion, Kathy Kirk of Prospect; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Warren "Willy" and Cathy Wiltrout of Glenshaw, Pa., and Andy Wiltrout of Prospect; six grandchildren; a brother, Robert Wiltrout of Erie; a sister, Betty Fury of Ellwood City; a number of nieces and nephews; and Marilyn McDevitt Wiltrout of Ellwood City.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wiltrout was preceded in death by a brother, William "Dutch" Wiltrout.

McMahon, 107, liaison between Bell, William Penn
George McMahon, 107, of Passavant Retirement Center, Zelienople, formerly of Fifth Street, Ellwood City, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, in his residence.
He was born March 1, 1896, in Pittsburgh. He was first married to Matilda McMahon, who preceded him in death. He later was married to Myrtle Keefer McMahon, who died in 1988.
Mr. McMahon was employed for Bell Telephone for 47 years as a liaison between the company and the William Penn Hotel.
He was a member of the Dormont Presbyterian Church and the Scottish Rite and Syria Shrine in Pittsburgh.
Mr. McMahon also was a 65-year member of the Masonic Lodge 45 and enjoyed walking and feeding birds.
He is survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
Mr. McMahon was preceded in death by his first and second wives.

Hienz, 90, worked for 42 years in Michigan mill
Michael Joseph Hienz, 90, of South Lyon, Mich., formerly of Ellwood City, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003.
He was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Ellwood City, to the late Andrew and Katherine Birk Hienz. He was married for 52 years to Evealeen Hienz, who survives.
Mr. Hienz move from Ellwood City to South Lyon in 1933, where he worked in at tube mill for 42 years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hienz is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael F. and Eddy Hienz of Michigan; a stepson and daughter-in-law, James W. and Faith Scott of Michigan; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Ann Hienz of Ellwood City, William and Helen Hienz of Michigan and Gus Hienz of Harmony; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Katie Swick and Betty and John Pavuk, all of Ellwood City; a sister-in-law, Roberta Hienz of Ellwood City; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Henry Hienz, both in 1995; a brother-in-law, Lowell Swick in 1994; a sister-in-law, Esther Hienz in 2003; and a grandson, Michael P. Hienz in 1978.
Funeral services were held Friday in South Lyon.

Catherine M. Gladys Stang, 88, of Zelienople, died Monday, March 29, 2004, in the Evergreen Nursing Center, Jackson Township.
Born Sept. 27, 1915, in Darlington, she was a daughter of the late Charles Huffman and the late Elizabeth Lindsay Huffman Weingartner.
Her husband, the late George Myrle "Will" Stang, preceded her in death on April 14, 1988.
Mrs. Stang was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople and of the Harmony Lodge 957 Women of the Moose.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Myrle and Wilma Stang and Leonard H. and Cynthia Stang, all of Zelienople; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; an adopted son, Fred Haushalter; and a sister, Patricia Androlia.

Shallenberger, 87, Navy veteran of World War II
George H. Shallenberger, 87, of RD 1, Box 1152, Chewton, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, in his residence, following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Chewton, to the late Charles H. and Minnie Fury Shallenberger. He was married Nov. 8, 1938, to Dorothy Derrow Shallenberger, who survives.
Mr. Shallenberger was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and attended the Free Methodist Church in Ellwood City.
He was past member of the Wampum Lions Club, enjoyed traveling, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Shallenberger is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Judy and Richard Stelter, Georgia and William Butchelle Powell, Lana and George Fabian, and Janet Smith and her companion, James Schaas, all of Chewton; and a son and daughter-in-law, Charles H. and Diana Shallenberger of Portersville.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; five step-great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur "Bud" Shallenberger of Ellwood City.
Mr. Shallenberger was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Sue Shallenberger, in infancy.

Garrhett Eagan Humphrey, 2 years, eight months old, of Ohioville, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2003, at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C., following a 22-month battle with congenital immunodeficiency syndrome.
Garrhett was born Sept. 21, 2002, in Beaver, to Kenneth G. and Diane Petrella Humphrey.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Kristopher Humphrey of South Beaver and Aaron Humphrey of Pittsburgh; a sister, Korrynn Neiman at home; a maternal grandmother, Dolly Petrella of Ohioville; paternal grandparents, Arlene and Ralph Canonaco of Perkiomenville, Pa.; paternal great-grandparents, Rose and Vincent Canonaco of Perkiomenville, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Garrhett was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth G. Humphrey Sr.; and his maternal grandfather, James S. Petrella Sr.

Homer, 66, U.S. Navy veteran, HR Parish member
Richard M. Homer, 66, of 524 Glen Ave., Ellwood City, died at 6:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, in the Ellwood City Hospital.
He was born Jan. 4, 1937, in the Southside of Pittsburgh, to Mary Kuckinscas Homer of Pittsburgh and the late Michael Homer.
He was married Sept. 30, 1960, to Margaret Yeykal Homer, who survives.
Mr. Homer was employed as a custodian and driver for McElwain's Legend car dealership.
He previously had worked as a clothing cutter at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill from 1963 to 1979.
He then was employed for a time at Elcast and Garrett's, and also had worked as a driver for Hazen Petroleum.
Mr. Homer served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957 on the Coral Sea Ship.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and enjoyed fishing and bowling.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Homer is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Carl Falen of Ellwood City; a son, Richard Homer of Ellwood City, with whom he lived; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Paul Homer of Pittsburgh and Robert and Lynn Homa of Munhall; his mother-in-law, Lena Yeykal of Ellwood City and two grandchildren.

Fotia, 84, worked at EC Glass Plant, Knitting Mill
Nancy Fotia, 84, of The Haven Nursing Home, New Castle, formerly of Second Street, Ellwood City, and Hill View Manor, Shenango Township, died at 1 a.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, in the Ellwood City Hospital.
She was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Ellwood City, to the late Vincent and Anna Marie Buda Fotia.
Miss Fotia worked at the Ellwood Glass Plant from 1954 to 1967 and the Ellwood City Knitting Mill from 1967 to 1984.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Josephine Fotia of Ellwood City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Fotia in 1987, Ralph Fotia in 1981, and Joseph Fotia in 1960.

Ison, 92, former Wampum resident, Protestant by faith
Thressa M. "Tess" Ison, 92, of Clovis, Calif., formerly of Wampum, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in St. Agnes Hospital in Fresna, Calif., following an extended illness.
Born June 6, 1911, in Mitchell, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Arcus and Ethel Dument Cook.
Her husband, the late Herman "Slim" Ison, preceded her in death in 1980.
Mrs. Ison was Protestant by faith and enjoyed sewing and gardening.
She is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Ison of Clovis, Calif.; and a half-brother, Don King of Ellport.

Andrews, 54, bartender at Phil's Inn, McDowell's
Linda M. Andrews, 54, of Rear 253 Charles Street, Koppel, died Friday, May 2, 2003, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born Aug. 29, 1948, in Ellwood City, to Evelyn R. Martin Barkey of Koppel and the late Robert E. Barkey, who died in 1988. She was married April 27, 1968, to Robert K. Andrews, who died in 1988.
Mrs. Andrews worked as a bartender for Phil's Inn in Koppel for 20 years and later worked as a bartender at McDowell's in Koppel for five years.
She was a graduate of the Lincoln High School Class of 1967.
Methodist by faith, she enjoyed playing bingo.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Jody Andrews of Koppel; and three grandchildren.
In addition to her father and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Andrews in 1995; and a brother, Robert D. Barkey, who died April 22, 2003.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and from 10 a.m. to the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.

Zell, 73, former plant manager at Luger's
Ralph D. Zell, 73, of South Beaver Township, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, in his residence.
He was born June 27, 1929, in College Hill, to the late Ralph C. and Della Knieff Zell. He was married for 54 years to Margaret Patricia "Patty" Holtom Zell, who survives.
Mr. Zell had been the plant manager for the former Peter J. Luger and Sons Company.
He was an active member of the Beaver County Club of Retired Persons, where he served as a past president and had participated in the bowling and gold leagues.
Mr. Zell was an elder of the Oak Grove Church of Christ in Ohioville.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Zell is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Dan Eichinger of Johnstown, Pa., and Joni and David Bodell of White Township; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Johannah Zell of College Hill; four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Zell; and four sisters, Martha Carollo, Jane Lytle, Lucille Gulla and Ruth Farber.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glenn Bias, minister of the Oak Grove Church of Christ, officiating.

Savony, 77, resident of Beaver Falls
Marion Juliette Savony, 77, of the Providence Healthcare Center in Beaver Falls died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003.
She was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Charles M. and Mary Viola Lotz Savony Snyder.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Snyder Best of South Beaver Township; a niece, Lynn Kaye of Beaver Falls; a nephew and his wife, Greg and Renea Best of Chippewa Township; a great-nephew and his wife; and a great-niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond E. Snyder and Melvin J. Snyder; and her stepfather, Raymond D. Snyder.
There will be no public visitation.
Private interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, New Castle.

Geary, 79, member of HR Parish, enjoyed crafts
Georgetta Rozzo Geary, 79, of 510 Ore St., Ellwood City, died at 7:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in her residence.
She was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Ellwood City, to the late George M. Rozzo, who died in 1972, and the late Anna Cortez Rozzo, who died in 1992.
She was married Oct. 16, 1948, to Stephen Geary, who died Feb. 9, 1991.
Mrs. Geary had worked as an inspector at the former Ellwood City Knitting Mill and also at Romar, United Tube and Airways.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and enjoyed crafts.
Mrs. Geary is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Georgia DeSanzo of Beaver Falls and Stephanie Geary Rider and her husband, Paul Rider, of Wayne Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Shirley Rozzo of Ellwood City; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Geary was preceded in death by a brother, George Rozzo.
Friends will be received from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.

Kramer, 66, EC Forge retiree, past Franklin Twp. fireman
Floyd E. "Bud" Kramer Jr., 66, of 640 First Ave., Ellwood City, died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle, following a brief illness.
Born Sept. 10, 1937, in Ellwood City, he was a son of the late Floyd E. Kramer Sr., who died Sept. 13, 1993, and the late Pearl Smith Kramer, who died Aug. 19, 1985.
His former wife, Frances Biego Kramer, preceded him in death in 1981.
Mr. Kramer retired last year after 39 years of service with the Ellwood City Forge Corp., where he worked as a truck driver and later as a craneman.
He previously had been employed by Hessler Bus Company as a driver for the Riverside schools, and later drove buses for Zona Tours.
A 1956 graduate of Lincoln High School, Mr. Kramer attended the North Sewickley Presbyterian Church and was a former fireman with the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed NASCAR, football and bowling.
Mr. Kramer is survived by a special friend, Mary Bietch of Butler; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra L. Mulig and Domenick Garuccio of Ellwood City, Diane M. and Jeramie Moye of Rochester and Jamie L. and Karl Yaromey of Portersville; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and former wife, Mr. Kramer was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Marburger.

Badura, 82, former resident, Scout leader, den mother
Irene T. Badura, 82, of 32 Deer Park Drive, Cheswick, Pa., formerly of 12th Street Extension, Ellwood City, died Friday, May 2, 2003, in the Harmar Village Nursing Home, Cheswick.
She was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Joseph A. and Stella Marek Rolak. She was married Feb. 8, 1941, to Leon J. Badura Sr., who died May 10, 1978.
A 1938 graduate of Holy Redeemer High School in Detroit, Mrs. Badura lived in Ellwood City from 1951 to 1991.
She was a custodian at the Municipal Building during the 1970s.
She was a member of Purification BVM Church from 1951-1991 and was a charter member of its Christian Mothers.
She was a former Girl Scout leader and den mother in Ellwood City and a member of the Ellwood City Football Mothers.
Mrs. Badura is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Leon J. and Joan Badura Jr. of Hale, Mich., John and Lois Badura of Butler and Gerald and Vicky Badura of Edgewood, N.M.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and William Burdett of Russelton, Pa., Susanne and Irvin Thompson of Washington, Pa. and Patricia and Dr. James Gallagher of Dearborn, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Budura in 2002; a brother, Daniel Rolak; a sister, Virginia Naimoawicz; and a granddaughter, Becky Badura.

Emily "Millie" Landman, 70, of Beaver Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in the Providence Health Care Center, Beaver Falls.
She was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Beaver Falls, to the late Felix and Frances Podeszwa Landman.
Miss Landman was a retired ware selector for the Mayer China Co. in Beaver Falls.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Holy Trinity Church, and belonged to the church's rosary society.
Miss Landman is survived by a sister, Jennie Binkoski of Beaver Falls; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Michael, Felix, Walter and Edward Landman; and three sisters, Genevieve Fabiani, Sophie Topolski and Anna Wrobel.

Benden, 66, bookkeeper, member of St. Philomena
Eleanor Benden, 66, of West Mayfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in her residence.
She was born May 3, 1937, in New Brighton, to the late Mike and Mary Spiegle. Her husband of 43 years, Regis L. Benden, survives.
Mrs. Benden was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for the Beaver County Trust in New Brighton.
She was a member of St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Benden is survived by a son, Howard M. Benden of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Michael Alberti of Chippewa Township and Denise Orlowski of Monaca; a sister, Rose Marie Spiegle Rouse of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; three nephews and a niece.

Carroll, 25, grandson of Wampum resident
Kevin James Carroll, 25, of 316 Myrtle Ave., Marysville, Pa., formerly of Ellwood City, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, from injuries suffered in a traffic accident on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County.
He was a son of Pamela Sue Gibbel Carroll, with whom he resided, and Daniel K. Carroll of Seaford, Del.
A 1998 graduate of Central Dauphin High School, Mr. Carroll was employed in the warehouse at Ollie's Distribution Center in West Hanover Township.
He was a member of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City and attended Ridgeway Community Church of the Brethren in Susquehanna Township.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carroll is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Erin L. and Jon F. MacDonald of Harrisburg; his paternal grandmother, W. Louise Carroll of Wampum; his maternal grandparents, H. Lewis Jr. and M. Louise Gibbel of West Hanover Township; aunts and uncles, Carol and Henry Muensterman of Lower Paxton Township, Randy and Marla Carroll of Cary, N.C., Charles and Lena Carroll of Lincoln Universary, Pa., Michael and Linda Carroll of New Castle, and Janice Carroll of New Castle; and numerous cousins.
Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Carroll.

Lena Rosellini Koch, 80, of 103 Whieldon Ave., Perry Township, died at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Butler, to the late Alfredo and Guiditta Tintori Rosellini.
She was married July 15, 1950, to Melvin G. Koch, who survives.
Mrs. Koch worked as a custodian for the Ellwood City Area School District at Perry Elementary for 16 years.
A 1942 graduate of Butler Senior High School, she was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and the Christian Mothers.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Koch is survived by two daughters, Lisa Koch of Perry Township, with whom she lived, and Judith Pasilevas of Pittsburgh; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis M. and Laurie Koch of Corral Springs, Fla., and David M. and Pamela Koch of North Sewickley Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Maurico and Margorie Rosellini of Butler; a sister, Ann Lenzi of Butler; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a brother, Louis Rosellini in 1997, and by his wife, Marilyn.
