Mary E. Ramb
Mary E. Ramb of Saint Joseph Manor, Meadowbrook and formerly of Beach Haven, N.J. and Tarpon Springs, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Holy Redeemer Hospital, Meadowbrook. She was 92.
She was the wife of the late Charles A. Ramb.
Born in Chester, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Henrietta Schweiker Finnerty.
Along with her husband, Mary was a proprietor of the former Seaview Restaurant and Motel in Beach Haven.
She is survived by her nephew, the Rev. Dr. George Vincent Corwell and her grandnieces, Melissa De Flavees and Candace Ochs. Preceding Mary in death were her two sisters, Sister Marie Eleanor, Sisters of St. Joseph, and Eleanor Corwell.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing after 9 a.m. on Saturday at Saint Joseph Manor Chapel, 1616 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, PA 19046. A 10 a.m. funeral Mass will follow the viewing. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Marjorie H. Bartleson
Marjorie H. Bartleson, formerly of Chalfont, died Nov. 25, 2002, at Lutheran Community at Telford. She was 86.
She was the wife of Robert L. Bartleson who died in 1974.
Born on May 5, 1916 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph G. and Ruth (Eby) Hutt.
In 1937, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Wilson College, Chambersburg.
A schoolteacher for 21 years, she taught at Hammonton High School in New Jersey from 1937 to 1945 and at Unami Junior High School from 1965 to 1977. Marjorie also assisted her husband in the ownership of the R.L. Bartleson General Merchandise Store at the corner of Routes 152 and 202 in Chalfont.
She married her husband in 1941 and moved to Chalfont in 1945. She lived there until 1997, when she moved to the Lutheran Community.
She was a very active member of Saint James Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling and reading.
Marjorie is survived by three daughters, Ruth B. McDowell of Madison, N.J., Deborah B. Lee of Dallas, Texas, and Marjorie B. Perry of Lahaska; her brother, Richard Hutt of Columbia, Md.; and six grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Lutheran Community of Telford, 235 N. Washington St., Telford, where the family will greet friends after the service. Interment will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.

James J. Blessing
James J. Blessing of Warrington died Monday, November 25, 2002, at his home. He was 37.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of Rita Castorina Blessing and the late Eugene Blessing. A resident of Warrington for more than 30 years, Jim was a graduate of Archbishop Wood High School.
A self-employed tile setter for the past 12 years, he contracted for numerous builders in the local area.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and had become a skilled gardener.
In addition to being a devoted son to his mother, he also is survived by two brothers, Duke Blessing of Chalfont and Rob Blessing of Warrington; and a nephew, Brandon.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Euclid Avenue, Warrington, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery.

Anna Theresa Bonitatis died Nov. 23, 2002, at the Dresher Hill Nursing Home. She was 83.
She was the wife of the late Dominick Bonitatis.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Annuziata (Manganello) Iannucci.
She was the mother of Joseph J. Bonitatis of Chalfont and Dominick Bonitatis Jr. of Philadelphia; grandmother of five; and great-grandmother of nine.

Sara E. Chalmers
Sara Elizabeth (Gerwig) Chalmers, a loving wife, sister and friend, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Grand View Hospital, after fighting a long battle with leukemia. She was 54.
Born in North Tonawanda, N.Y., Sara was the daughter of the late Dr. Theodore C. Gerwig Jr. and Mary (Farley) Gerwig.
She was a graduate of Bryant and Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, N.Y.
Sara married Kenneth Chalmers in April 1975. After living in Perkasie for more than 14 years, the couple had recently moved to the Lansdale area. Sara was employed as executive assistant to the president of Draeger Medical. She had a zest for living and enjoyed spending time with her family. A family cruise and holiday visits and travel brought Sara great joy. She devoted a great amount of time pursuing her love for gourmet cooking, reading and ceramics. Sara was a talented needlework artist and a licensed skin care consultant.
In addition to her husband, Sara is survived by her sons and their wives, Dean P. and Kelly Chalmers and Brian D. and Debby Chalmers, all of Chicago,Ill. Sara’s three sisters and their husbands, Martha and Dale Conant of Fort Collins, Colo.; Kathleen and Mike Thompson of Hagerstown, Md.; and Nancy and Cole Bergan of Amherst, N.Y., and her four grandchildren also survive.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Fifth and Chestnut streets, Perkasie, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Anna C. Osman
Anna C. (Christiansen) Osman of Roslyn, Abington Township, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002. She was 79.
She was the wife of Frank Osman. The couple had been married for 55 years on Oct. 4, 2002.
Anna was born Dec. 29, 1922 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late August and Matilda (Hartman) Christiansen.
An area resident since 1951, she had been employed as secretary to the president of Fleming Foods Eastern Division. For 49 years, she was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church in Roslyn, where she was head of the memorial committee; treasurer for the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; superintendent of Sunday school; secretary of the church council, and was active in Aid for Friends. She enjoyed reading, gardening and sharing time with her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by her sister, Marie, wife of the late Frank Jagger; her sister-in-law, Marian, wife of the late Carl Christiansen; her nieces, Valcrey Gallagher (Ed) and Gale Rowley (Richard); and her nephews, Ronald Jagger, Charles Jagger (Cheryl), and Erik and Alan Christiansen (Karen). Ten grandnieces and grandnephews and eight great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Neil Christiansen.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, at Living Word Lutheran Church, 1250 N. Easton Road, Roslyn, PA 19001, where visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.

Maria R. Romani-Quartucci died suddenly and went to be with the Lord on Nov. 20, 2002.
She was the beloved and cherished daughter of Emilio F. Quartucci and Margaret R. (Redding) Quartucci.
Her star shone brightest within her immediate family and her spark will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Maria is survived by her sisters, Jannina C. Webster and Teresa R. Jennings, who were blessed to have walked beside her in life; and her deeply loved and treasured brother-in-law, David G. Webster and his mother, Anna Webster. On her path through life, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends were touched by her kindness, humor and, above all, her sweetness.
Along with holding dear in her heart the people in her life, Maria found room for the animals of the earth. Her devotion to caring for animals was her lifelong passion. Anyone who wishes to carry on her work for the improvement of animal life, is encouraged to make a contribution to an animal shelter of their choice.

Bertha Dammel Schilter
Bertha Dammel Schilter of Newtown died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Pickering Manor Home in Newtown. She was 97.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kasper Schilter.
She was the daughter of the late Friederich and Kristina Seiler Dammel.
Born in Grotzingen, Germany, Mrs. Schilter came to the United States in 1926 and lived in Willow Grove for more than 60 years, before moving to Newtown in 1999.
Bertha was very proud of her German heritage and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and working in her garden, where she grew many of her own vegetables. At the age of 90, Bertha was still making her own wine from the grapes she grew.
Mrs. Schilter is survived by her two nieces, Margrit Shoemaker/Congdon and Lorrie Hopely, and her two nephews, Friederich and William Bauer.

Edwin W. Schneider of New Britain died September 25, 2002, at his residence. He was 77.
He was the husband of Joan (Mitchell) Schneider, who died in 1989.
Born in Philadelphia on November 26, 1924, he was a son of the late Albert and Adaline Freasal Schneider.
He was employed as an electrical systems manager with Leeds & Northrup for 35 years. He retired in 1987.
Mr. Schneider was commander of VFW Post 3258, and retired after 10 years of service as a volunteer for Chalfont Fire Co..
He is survuved by his children, Richard N. Schneider (Marilynn) of Pittstown, N.J., Gerald R. Schneider (Sharon)of Mukwonago, Wis., and Barbara A. Robert D. Reed, a resident of New Britain, died October 2, 2002 at Central Montgomery Medical Center, Lansdale. He was 50.
He was the husband of Dana (Parsons) Reed.
Born July 11, 1952 in Watertown, N.Y., he was a son of the late Maurice D. Reed and Joyce Floetenmeyer.
Bob was a graduate of Agriculture Technical College in Canton, N.Y. and Jefferson Community College in Watertown, New York. For 29 years, he was a retail manager for Toys-R-Us in Montgomeryville.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father who enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife and mother, three children , Mary, Laura and Christian Reed; and two sisters, Valerie Reed and Donna Pierce, survive.

Kenneth A. Eidson died at his residence in Chalfont, PA on July 21, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Bonita (nee Aniszewski) Eidson, and two daughters Laura L. York and her husband W. David of Coopersburg, PA and Hedi Booker and her husband Kirk of Wilmington, DE; one brother Richard N. Eidson of Chicago, Ill. Ken was preceded in death by a daughter, the late Suzanne M. Eidson.
Kenneth was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. A graduate of the University of Illinois. Ken was an Electrical Engineer. Before retirement he worked for Micro Semi Corp. of Montgomeryville, PA. He also enjoyed rebuilding old car engines as a hobbie.

Ruth L. Daniel of Chalfont, PA died Thursday July 24, 2003 at her home. Born November 4, 1926 in Koenigberg, East Prussia, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Meta Burgschadt. She was the beloved wife of Rudolf Daniel. In addition to her husband she is survived by her two sons Peter Daniel and his wife Lisa, of Ottsville and Mario Daniel of Chalfont. Also three grandchildren Susan Kirby and her husband Michael Kirby, Mark Daniel and his wife Almeria along with Melanie Daniel; and one great-grandchild Jason Daniel.
Ruth worked in the courthouse in Koenigsberg from where she was drafted into the German Airforce till the end of the war in 1945. Ruth immigrated to the United States in June of 1960 through New York shortly after settling in Eastern Pennsylvania. Some of the passions of Ruth during her life were oil and acrylic paintings from landscapes to animals and stills. Horse back riding was a major part of her life starting in Germany and continuing in the United States competing competitively for many years to include her life goal of showing at the Devon and Garden State reaching in the top five of regional championship. Music was also important to Ruth with playing piano, organ and accordian plus the guitar. Other pastimes for Ruth were ice skating, bowling, and a great cook too. Her love for animals reflects in her whole family carrying on this trait in her children and beyond.

Anthony J. De Christopher of New Britain Borough, formerly of Bensalem, died August 2, 2003, at his home. He was 88.
He was the husband of the late Madeline (Simone) De Christopher.
Born November 2, 1914, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Giuseppi De Christopher and the late Carmela (Gagaine) De Christopher.
He was a 1932 graduate of North Catholic High School and a 1936 graduate of La Salle College.
Mr. De Christopher first worked as a surveyor for the city of Philadelphia. He retired as a teacher with a career that spanned 32 years and included teaching Father Judge and Holy Cross high schools and Holy Ghost Preparatory School.
He is survived by his children, Carole De Christopher of London, England; Thomas A. De Christopher of York, PA; and Maria A. De Christopher-Lopez of New Britain Borough. His sister, Frances Admonavage of Blackwood, N.J. also survives along with his 11 grandchildren and five-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one grandson.
