Kululu "Kay" V. Harden Hager, 84, of 47034 Peck, Wadsworth Road, Wellington, Ohio, formerly of Fredericktown, died at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in the Hospice of St. Joseph Residence, Lorain, Ohio, following a lengthy illness.
She was born January 16, 1913, in Deemston Borough, a daughter of Ira and Rena Regester Harden.
Mrs. Hager was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Fredericktown.
She was one of the original organizers of the Ladies Auxiliary and past president of the Auxiliary of the East Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391 of Fredericktown.
She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Stefanik of Wellington, Ohio, and Ruthann Lambert of Carmichaels; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harden was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are her first husband, George W. Gossett, who died October 26, 1964, and her second husband, John H. Hager, who died February 28, 1988; four sisters, Gladys Horton, Dorotha Hupp, Elda Harden and Elsie Harden; seven brothers, Owen, Joseph, Homer, Roger, Ira Jr., Howard and Warren Harden.
Raymond Henderson

Raymond C. Henderson, 80, of Donnan Avenue, Washington, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 1998, at home.
He was born June 7, 1917, in Washington, a son of Clyde G. and Mary Buchanan Henderson.
Mr. Henderson was a member of Friendship Community Church and a former member of Allison Avenue Baptist Church.
He was employed by Jessop Steel Co. for 40 years and last worked as a lift operator prior to his retirement.
He was a member of BPOE 776 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 22. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and sports.
On April 12, 1935, he married Iona Bert, who died November 3, 1989.
Surviving are three sons, David R. "Skitch" Henderson of Houston, Thomas W. Henderson of Fox Chapel and Richard L. Henderson of Canonsburg; a brother, Howard "Red" Henderson of Washington; six grandchildren, David L. Henderson, Barbara Henderson Ronan, Paul Henderson, Susan Henderson Zinner and Roxanne and Andrew Henderson; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Barbara Lee Henderson; a brother, Donald Henderson; five sisters, Edna Henderson Cole, Virginia Henderson DeHaven, Mildred Henderson Seibel, Leona Henderson Dempshar and Helen Henderson.
Frank R. Henry

Frank R. Henry, 67, of Finleyville, died Tuesday, January 6, 1998, at home.
He was born April 12, 1930, in Nottingham Township, a son of William A. and Clara Elizabeth Siler Henry.
Mr. Henry served in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Reserves and was superintendent for Fort Cherry Golf Course in McDonald.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Loyal Order of the Moose 172 and Morrison Ritchie American Legion Post 613, all of Finleyville, and Henry M. Phillips Lodge 337 F&AM of Monongahela.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Zanardelli Henry; three sons, Kenneth Henry of Clearfield, Mike and William Henry, both of Venetia; a daughter, Patricia Lewandowski of Spring, Texas; a brother, Clyde Henry of Ginger Hill; three sisters, Della Shelton of Ohio, Mildred Bartram of Finleyville and Ann Berlin of Bentleyville; and four grandchildren.
John Kosir
Member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church, McMurray
John Kosir, 89, of McMurray, died Tuesday, January 6, 1998, in Washington Hospital.
He was born December 15, 1908, in Austria, Hungary, a son of John and Marjana Kriznac Kosir.
Mr. Kosir was a member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church, McMurray.
Surviving are two sons, John and Frank Kosir of McMurray; two daughters, Vida Glance of McMurray and Angela Strilic of Slovenia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters in Slovenia.
Deceased are his wife, Johana Otrin Kosir and a son, Michael Kosir.
Martha Krosnoff
Former nurse member of FPC, Washington
Martha Forsyte Krosnoff, 84, of 820 Redstone Road, Washington, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 1998, in Washington Hospital.
Born March 4, 1913, in Fayette City, she was the daughter of William Edgar and Elma Cope Forsyte.
Mrs. Krosnoff was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington; the Current Events Club; and the Washington Hospital Auxiliary.
She was a nurse in the offices of Dr. Michael Krosnoff II, for 10 years and was also an industrial nurse at Brockway Glass.
A 1931 graduate of Washington High School and a 1936 graduate of Washington Hospital School of Nursing, Mrs. Krosnoff, served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corp during World War II in the European Theater.
On July 29, 1952, in Washington, she married Dr. Michael Krosnoff, who died June 8, 1964.
Surviving are two stepsons, Dr. Michael Krosnoff II and Joseph G. Krosnoff, both of Washington; two stepgrandchildrden, Lisa and Kimberly Krosnoff; one stepgreat-grandson; and one niece and one nephew.
Two brothers, Louis Cope and William Edgar Forsyte, are deceased.
Caroline V. Lillard

Caroline Virginia Lillard, 69, of Francis Mine, Burgettstown, died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 14, 1928, in Bertha Mine, a daughter of Alfred and Josephine Nebster Brown.
Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Frank Lillard Sr., who she married in Toledo, Ohio, September 7, 1943.
Also surviving are two sons, Frank Lillard Jr. and Robert Lillard Sr., both of Francis Mine; three daughters, Gloria Whiting and Patricia Timblin of Francis Mine and Lorraine Howard of Burgettstown; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six sisters, Beulah Paris, Viola Witcher, Elizabeth, Louise, Margaret and Betty Brown; and four brothers, James, Alfred, Robert and Wilbur Brown.
Jane Thomas Myers
WHS grad active member of Mt. Lebanon UP church
Jane Thomas Myers, 79, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Washington, died December 27, 1997, after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 30, 1918, a daughter of Ralph and Mary Thomas.
Mrs. Myers graduated from Washington High School in 1935, and in her later years was an active member of the Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Myers was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
She was a recipient of a 25-year service award for volunteer work at Magee Hospital and also was a member of the Junior League, the Women's Club of Mt. Lebanon, the Salvation Army Auxiliary, the Women's Auxiliary to the American Mining Congress and the South Hills College Club, of which she served as president and treasurer.
As a member of the Junior League she volunteered at WQED during its early years. She served as president of the Mt. Lebanon High School PTO and held many offices in the various churches in which she attended over the years.
Mrs. Myers worked several years for Hadassah of Pittsburgh and was made a life member in honor of her service.
On September 8, 1939, she married Charles Myers, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Maryanne Torris and Patricia Jane Leach; a son, Charles Thomas Myers; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. William R. Thomas of Elizabeth, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, at Mt. Lebanon Presbyterian Church, corner of Scott Road and Washington Road, with Dr. John Paul Powell officiating. A private interment service will be held at the Washington Cemetery.

Helen Berisko Pelc, 89, of Strongsville, Ohio, formerly of Eighty Four R.D.2, died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, at home.
She was born April 14, 1908, in Orient, Fayette County, a daughter of John and Mary Finndish Berisko.
Mrs. Pelc was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, now Ave Maria Parish.
Surviving are three daughters, Viola Folwarczny of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Alice Blenda of Stongsville, Ohio, and Margie Continenza of Wadsworth, Ohio; a son, Joseph Lawrence (Larry) Pelc of East Lake, Ohio; three brothers, Walter Berisko of Filbert, John Berisko of Republic and Henry Berisko of Uniontown; four sisters, Frances Tassone of Republic, Mary Kubitza of Royal, Ann Matty of Virginia and Rose Piasecki of Strongsville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are her husband, Joseph Pelc, who died August 29, 1990; and a sister, Sophie Berisko, who died in 1996.

Born December 6, 1975, in Washington, she was the daughter of John and Betty M. Craig Pienkosky.
Miss Pienkosky was a senior at Slippery Rock University, where she was a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma sorority.
Surviving are a brother, Justin Pienkosky, at home; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Earnest J. "Jack" Rush Jr., 62, of Bethany Beach, Del., formerly of McMurray, died Monday, January 5, 1998, in the Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del.
He was born on February 17, 1935, in Waynesburg, a son of Marion Rush of Waynesburg and the late Earnest J. Rush.
Mr. Rush was employed by Westinghouse Electric Corp.; was owner of the Guthrie Trucking Corp.; and was also employed by Hamill Manufacturing Co. from 1972-1976, General Dynamics from 1976-1979, Schneider Inc. from 1979-1989, Dick Corp. from 1989-1992; and a restaurant owner in Bethany Beach from 1992 until his retirement in 1995.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Slavin Rush; two sons, Richard Rush of Dagsboro, Del., and Kevin Rush of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Linda Rush Ritter of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; a stepson, Patrick Slavin of McMurray; a stepdaughter, Kassie Slavin Wells of Georgetown, Del.; six grandchildren; and two brothers, James Rush of Spartansburg, S.C., and Charles Rush of Waynesburg.

Herbert E. Schulz, 90, of Fellsburg, Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, January 6, 1998.
He was born July 29, 1907, in Scranton, a son of Frederick and Betty Yuhas Schulz Coughenour.
Mr. Schulz was retired from USX Fairless Works.
He was a member of Fells United Methodist Church, where he was a former trustee, and a member of Rostraver Township Food Bank and Rostraver AARP.
Surviving are a son, Herbert Edward Schulz II of Collegeville; two daughters, M. Kay Ciepiela of Fellsburg, with whom he made his home, and Shiela K. Churchel of Daisytown; a brother, Joseph Schultz of Carmichaels; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife of 52 years, Matilda "Tillie" Schulz, who died May 21, 1986; two brothers, Albert Schulz and Carl Smith; and three sisters, Eleanor Wenzel, Tessie Schulz and Ann Schulz.

George Edward Stewart, 67, of Ellsworth, died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 6,1998, in Washington Hospital, following a four-month illness.
He was born April 25, 1930, in Washington, a son of James Taylor and Margaret Stewart. He was raised by his grandmother, Marian Anderson.
Mr. Stewart was a member of Ebenezer Bible Baptist Church, Washington, and was very active in the church.
He was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School and had attended California University of Pennsylvania. He owned and operated the Eighty Four Woodworking Shop.
On May 1, 1987, he married Barbara Jean Griffin, who survives.
Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Irene Wade of Columbus, Ohio, Marian Stewart-Lugo of Bethlehem and Erica Lynn McKnight of Tomah, Wis.; a stepdaughter, Renee Sluby of Washington, D.C.; two stepsons, Paul Sluby of Washington, D.C., and Tom Sluby of South Elgin, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Larry Edward Stewart.

Naomi L. Whipkey, 86, of North Huntingdon, formerly of New Freeport, Greene County, died Tuesday, January 6, 1998, in William Penn Care Center.
She was born October 7, 1911, in New Freeport, a daughter of George and Mary Riggs Loar.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, North Huntingdon; the American Association of Retired Persons; and the Order of the Eastern Star 400, Irwin.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Bell Watts of North Huntingdon; a stepson, Robert Whipkey of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Her first husband, Lloyd Ewart, is deceased. Her second husband, John Whipkey, died in 1990.
Interment is Saturday, January 10, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, New Freeport.

He was born July 2, 1955, in Washington, a son of Adella Cheze Bober of Washington and the late John Bober.
He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of the Polish Club, the Pulaski Club and the Jessop Club. He attended Trinity High School.
Surviving, in additon to his mother, are two brothers, Daniel and John Bober, both of Washington; and a sister, Donna Wilson of Washington.

He was retired from Suwak Trucking as a truck driver.

Frank J. Gonzales, 81, of Donora, died Thursday, January 8, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township.
He was born March 28, 1916, in Cherryvale, Kan., a son of Angel G. and Ramona Muniz Gonzales.
He was the former owner of Gonzales Bros. Grocery in Donora and was retired from Copperweld in Glassport.
He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Donora, Spanish Club, Past Master Donora Lodge 626 F&AM, Mason of the year in 1996, Valley of Coudersport Consistory and Syria Shrine.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Ziemba Gonzales, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage; a son, Francis A. "Sonny" Gonzales of Humble, Texas; two daughters, Alice Jester of Oakdale and Diane Crossett of Fox Chapel; two foster daughters, Bonnie and Karen Davis; a brother, Herman "Red" Gonzales of North Hills; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Josephine Rodriguez; and seven brothers, Joseph M., Gabriel, Manuel, Lloyd, Everett, Arthur Gonzales and a brother who died in infancy.
William Haught Jr.

William "Bill" Haught Jr., 69, of Bula, W.Va., died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born July 17, 1928, in Bula, son of William Sr. and Ida Henderson Haught.
Mr. Haught was a retired carpenter and had been a member of Local Union 604 for 40 years. He had been an independent businessman for the past 15 years, having owned Haught Construction Co. He was a member of the Bula Baptist Church, was a farmer and stock raiser, and an avid sports fan.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Gayle Tennant Haught; a son, Michael Haught of Bula; two brothers, Lonnie Quinton Haught of Waynesburg and Francis "Pete" Haught of Bula; four sisters, Helen Cummins of Wana, W.Va., Minnie Moore and Louise Hall, both of Waynesburg, and Flora Huffman of Greensburg; and two grandchildren, Lisa Jo Haught and Shane Haught.
Deceased are three brothers, Freeman Haught, David R. Haught and Lloyd Haught; and a sister, Ruth Falwell.
Fred Thomas Holland
40-year member of Hickory United Presbyterian Church
Fred Thomas Holland, 83, of Henderson Road, Hickory, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in Manor Care Nursing Home, McMurray, following a three-week illness.
He was born December 6, 1914, in LaFayette, Tenn., a son of Roscoe and Viola May Dyer Holland.
He was a member of the Hickory United Presbyterian Church for 40 years.
He had been employed at Harper Feed Mill in Washington until its closing in 1976 and was later employed by Southerland Lumber Yard from which he retired. He was a former member of Houston VFW and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Pennsylvania Chapter 16.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
On June 26, 1948, he married Leona Eleanore Stanley, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Ralph Thomas Holland of Bethel Park; a brother, Rex Holland of Washington; and two grandchildren, Blake and Justin Holland.
Deceased are three sisters, Ruby Douglas, Grace McDonald and Myrtle Reed; and three brothers, Truman, Robert and Herman Holland.
Gladys Vearl Horton
Gladys Vearl Horton of Riverdale, Md., formerly of Canonsburg, died Monday, January 5, 1998.
Her husband, James Oliver Horton Sr., is deceased.
Surviving are her children, James O. Horton Jr., Delberk E. Horton, Hazel E. Stewart, Sandra K. Horton and Donald J. Horton; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two children, Jackie Horton and Donald Lee Horton.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 10, at Oaks Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Washington.
S.J. "Ted" Peccon
Carmichaels man attended Kennedy's inauguration
Word has been received of the death of S. J. "Ted" Peccon, 80, of Carmichaels, who died from Parkinson's Disease Friday, January 2, 1998, at his residence in Carmichaels.
Mr. Peccon was born May 11, 1917, in Lemont Furnace, a son of Anthony and Rose Finello Peccon.
He graduated from North Union High School in Uniontown. For many years, he owned and operated Carmichaels Furniture and Hardware Co.
Mr. Peccon, a Democrat, was a longtime resident of Greene County, and played an active role in county politics.
Mr. Peccon also played a leadership role in attracting economic development to the Carmichaels area. He served as vice president of the Greene County Industrial Development Corporation. His work there resulted in the first factory being built in Carmichaels, a shoe manufacturing facility that is now the home of Burrell-Leder Beltech, Inc. of Switzerland.
He also instructed leadership courses for the Dale Carnegie Training Institute for Effective Speaking and Human Relations.
Mr. Peccon was a member of Rotary International, the Elks, Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He helped with the fund-raising for the construction of St. Hugh, which was the first permanent Catholic church in Carmichaels.
Mr. Peccon served as treasurer of the Democrat Party in Greene County and also ran for the office of county commissioner. He met many political figures and was an avid supporter of John F. Kennedy. He was invited to attend Kennedy's inauguration and was also present at Kennedy's burial in Arlington National Cemetery. He left his family many documents, photographs and memorabilia from his political activities.
Mr. Peccon maintained a lifelong interest in sports and was admired as an accomplished amateur baseball pitcher. He once pitched, and won, two, nine-inning games of a double header, a feat which garnered him the nickname "Ironman" Peccon. He played on and managed baseball teams in Fayette and Greene counties.
During World War II, Mr. Peccon served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1946 and was decorated with the European, African, Middle-Eastern Service Medal, American Service Medal and the World War Victory Medal.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Louise Urbany Peccon.
Also surviving are a son, Gregory F. Peccon; a grandson, G. Michael Peccon; three brothers, Lawrence Peccon of Hiller, Joseph Peccon of Lemont Furnace and Anthony Peccon of Uniontown; two sisters, Anita Peccon of Lemont Furnace and Elizabeth Sayre of Miami, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, John Peccon, who died in infancy and Thomas Peccon.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, January 3, 1998, in Carmichaels, with the Rev. Francis A. Nazimek officiating. Interment was held January 4 at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
Stephen J. Repko
Retired coal miner was veteran
Stephen J. Repko, 76, of Nemacolin, died Thursday, January 8, 1998, in Richardson's Personal Care Home of Pitt Gas.
He was born December 21, 1921, a son of Joseph and Maria Farkus Repko.
Mr. Repko was a retired coal miner of Nemacolin Mine and had served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.
He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Nemacolin, UMW Local 6290, VFW Post 47 of Uniontown, American Legion Post 400 of Carmichaels, Slovak Club in Uniontown and Nemacolin Citizens Club.
Surviving are four sisters, Mary Repko Garger, Irma Cormack, Dorothy Udovich and Helen Yandura, all of Nemacolin.
Agnes Retucci
Served in Women's Navy during World War II
Agnes Shaw Retucci, 76, of Millsboro, died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in Rolling Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Waynesburg.
She was born February 8, 1921, in Fredericktown, a daughter of James M. and Sara Jane McCoy Shaw.
She was a homemaker who lived most of her life in the Millsboro area. She was a 1939 graduate of East Bethlehem High School and a member of Millsboro Presbyterian Church. She served with the U.S. Women's Navy during World War II.
Surviving is her husband, Joseph Retucci Sr. of Millsboro, with whom she celebrated 40 years of marriage.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sandy Trunzo of Fredericktown and Jane Retucci of Washington; two sons, Joseph Retucci Jr. of Fredericktown and James Retucci Sr. of Millsboro; six grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Shaw of Waynesburg, Eileen Thomson of Vancouver, Wash., and Bonnie Harshman of Friendsville, Md.; and a brother, John W. Shaw of Stowe, Ohio.
Deceased is a sister, Rose Marie Eneix.

Lorenzo "Bozo" Spiotta, 89, of Slovan, died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, in Washington Hospital.
He was born on March 14, 1908, in Torino, Italy, a son of Baudolino and Maria Bertolina Spiotta.
Prior to retirement in 1972, Mr. Spiotta was employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a member of the Polar Star Society in Avella and was also the oldest member of the Slovan Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are three sons, John Spiotta of Florence, Robert Spiotta of Pittsburgh and Geno Spiotta of Slovan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a half brother, Antillio Stura of Dundee, Mich.
Deceased are his wife, Anna DeSantis Spiotta, who died December 23, 1996; and a half sister, Rose Freese.

She was born January 9, 1955, in Dunkirk, a daughter of the late Claude R. and Helen Fugich Dixon.
Mrs. Weimer was employed the past 22 years as a psychiatric aide at Mayview State Hospital in Bridgeville. She was Protestant.
Surviving is her husband of eight years, Audie A. Weimer; a daughter, Amanda Rae Gottselig at home; two brothers, John T. Dixon of Monongahela and Bruce A. Dixon of Donora.
Deceased is a brother, Larry J. Dixon.
Emma E. Wildman
Retired from Washington Hospital
Emma Elizabeth Wildman, 86, of Buford, S.C., formerly of Washington, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 1998, in her home.
She was born September 19, 1911, in Washington, a daughter of William R. and Jennie Muhleman Irey.
Mrs. Wildman had worked for Hazel Atlas and was retired from Washington Hospital. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Washington.
Her husband, Gaylord R. Wildman, is deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Kay Wildman of Buford; a brother, Raymond Irey of Amity; four sisters, Anna Irey of McMurray, Ethel Anderson of Sumter, S.C., Margaret Frazee of Amity and Jean Bryne of Marianna; and several neices and nepehws.
Deceased are three brothers, Fred W. Irey, Clem D. Irey and James K. Irey; and two sisters, Genevieve Irey and Estella Dille.
A memorial service will be held in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, at a date and time to be announced.
