Edna R. Williams, Hamlin, died November 17 at home. She was the widow
of Robert G. Fenstermacher, who died Dec. 26, 1944. Born in Scranton, daughter
of the late Russell and Mabel Davis Williams, she was a member of the Hollisterville
Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and
prior to retirement, she was employed as a receptionist at the U.S. Textile
Corp. She was a loving and giving person, who will be greatly missed. Surviving
is a son, Russell Murphy, Hamlin. She was preceded in death by a sister,

Marie B. Cull Clifford, 90, Flushing, N.Y., died November 18 at the
home of her daughter in Laurel Estates, Lake Ariel, after an illness. She
was the widow of Michael J. Clifford, who died in 1988. They were married for 51 years. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Daniel and Dorothy Martin Cull, she was a housewife and was a member of Queen of Peace Church,
Flushing. She vacationed in the Hawley area for the past 70 years, the
past 35 years at Woodloch Pines. She was an avid knitter and crocheter
who made baby sweaters, afghans and Christmas ornaments for dozens of her
friends and family members. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne Gieckel, Lake
Ariel; a son, Michael J., Bethpage, N.Y.; four grandchildren; nieces and

EARL L. SCHNEIDER
Earl L. Schneider, 63, RD 6 Moscow, Covington Township, died November 18 at Community Medical Center after a brief illness. His widow is the
former Ruth O Reilly. They celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary Oct.
12. Born in June 25, 1937 in New Brunswick, N.J., son of the late Raymond and Hazel Allen Schneider, he was educated in New Brunswick schools and
attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Prior to retirement, he was
employed as a mechanical engineer at Supradur Manufacturing, Wind Gap.
He was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church. Also surviving
are two daughters, Cynthia and Suzanne Schneider, both of Scranton; three
sons, James, White Haven; Daniel, Covington Township, and Stephen, Scranton;
a brother, Leonard, Newfoundland; a sister, Elvira Schneider, Mommoth Junction,
N.J.; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death
by three sisters, Hazel, Margaret and Marie; and a brother, Raymond. The

STANLEY J. LIPSKI
Stanley J. Lipski, Lake Ariel, died November 18 at Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness. His wife is the former Helen M. Darmofal, who died in 1995. The couple had been married for 51 years. Born in Scranton, son of
the late Julius and Bridget Niedzwiecki Lipski, he retired from the U.S.
Department of Defense in 1977 as a weapons systems program analyst for
the secretary of the Navy at the Pentagon. He was a graduate of the former
St. Thomas College, and he also attended the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, Columbia University, American University and the Institute
of Defense Analysis. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps
during World War II. Surviving are three daughters, Aleksandra Kline and
Susanne Lipski, both of Lake Ariel, and Stephanie Hubbs, Eagen, Minn.;
a brother, Walter, Erie; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death
by three brothers, the Rev. John, Leo and Joseph; and a sister, Josephine

Eugene J. Vitali Sr., Dunmore, died November 19 at home. He and his
wife, the former Marian R. Wallace, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
Sept. 14. Born in Dunmore, son of the late John and Gilda Vincenti Vitali, he was a 1936 graduate of Dunmore High School and a member of St. Casimir s
Church, Dunmore. Prior to retirement, he was co-owner and operator of the
Turnpike Coal Co., Dunmore. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, brother and friend who enjoyed spending time with his
family. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He will be sadly missed by
his family and friends. Also surviving are two sons, Eugene J. Jr., Lake
Ariel, and John, Daleville; three daughters, Mary Louise Scioscia, Clarks
Summit; Ann Chapman, Marshall, Mich.; and Elizabeth, at home; a brother,

Mary Ann "Honey" Gorzkowski, 68, of the Glendale section of Avoca,
died November 19 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was the wife of
Edward P. Gorzkowski Sr. The couple had been married 50 years. Born Aug.
16, 1932, in Dunmore, daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Depich Bednar,
she was a member of St. Mary's Church, Avoca. Also surviving are four sons,
Edward Jr., Joseph and Richard, all of Glendale; and John (Jay), Springbrook
Township; a daughter, Linda Herman, Glendale; and eight grandchildren.

Ellen L. Luongo, 73, of East Scranton, died November 20 at Community
Medical Center. She was the wife of Salvatore J. Luongo. The couple had
celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in February. Born in South Gibson, daughter of the late Howard and Leona Pickering Barlow, she was a graduate
of Harford High School and Lackawanna Junior College. She was a member
of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed her family and her casino

Bereniece E. Pickenheim, 87, of 222 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, died November 20. Her husband was the late Arthur W. Pickenheim. Born in Freeland, daughter of the late Foster and Dora Eroh Drasher, she was employed as a clerk by
the former Sheids Department Store, Tamaqua. She was a member of Trinity
United Church of Christ, and the Eastern Star Hester Rebecca Lodge, Tamaqua.
She was a 1931 graduate of Hazleton High School. Surviving are two sons,
Ronald A., Moscow, and Paul J., Danville; a daughter, Cheryl Thomas, Honesdale;

MARY L. KANE
Mary L. Kane, Dunmore, died November 20 at home after an illness. She was the widow of James A. Kane, M.D., who died Jan. 15, 1997. Born in Carbondale,
daughter of the late Patrick and Nellie Mullaly, she was a member of St.
Clare's Church. She was educated in Carbondale schools and graduated in
1942 from Marywood University with a bachelor's degree in library science.
Before marriage, she worked as a librarian at St. Thomas College, now the
University of Scranton. She is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Kane, with
whom she resided; a son, James Kane, Moosic Lakes; a granddaughter, nieces
and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and
John Mullaly, and two sisters, Kathryn and Eileen Mullaly. The funeral

FRANCES V. BIAGIOLI
Frances V. "Frannie" Biagioli, 82, a South Scranton resident, died
November 20 at the Hospice Preferred Choice Inpatient Unit at Mid-Valley
Hospital, Peckville, after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of John
Biagioli, who died in 1987. Born Nov. 12, 1918, in Johnson City, Tenn.,
daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Emily Berry Berry, she was employed
by McDonald's Restaurant, South Scranton, for 25 years before retirement.
She was loved very much by her family and will be missed by all. Surviving
are a son, John, with whom she resided; two daughters, Annmarie Schwenk,
Daleville, and Helen Rodney, North Scranton; a brother, Samuel, Baltimore;
six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. The funeral was from

LUCILLE E. ATEN
Lucille E. Aten, 77, a lifelong resident of the Moscow area, died November 21 in Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness. Her husband is John H. Jack
Aten. They had been married for 54 years. Born in Moscow, daughter of the
late Edwin and Alma Jones Griffith, she was a graduate of Moscow High School,
and was employed in the secretarial department of International Salt Co.
Prior to that, she was the receptionist for Dr. Brundage in Moscow. She
was a member of the Moscow United Methodist Church and of the Harriet Green
Chapter 198 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a caring, compassionate
person, who was a loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed being with
her granddaughter. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed needlepoint and
cross-stitching. Surviving are two sons, Robert and David, both of Elmhurst;
a stepson, John, Nashua, N.H.; a sister, Janice Carlson, Sweden; a granddaughter;
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a stepmother, Laurissa
Griffith; a brother, Lincoln Sayer; and a sister, Marybelle Griffith. A

the local garment industry prior to retirement. She was a member of the

JOHN GALLAGHER
John Gallagher, 50, Pocono Springs, Gouldsboro, died November 21 in
a work-related accident. His wife is the former Ann Marie Joyce. Born in
Scranton, son of John Francis Gallagher, Cherry Hill, N.J., and Annmarie
Ross Hahn, Scranton, he was a graduate of Cathedral High School, and the
University of Scranton, where he majored in mathematics and minored in
physics. He was a self-employed contractor and owner of J.P.G. Inc. He
was a member of St. Eulalia's Church, Elmhurst. He was a hardworking and
devoted husband and loving father, who participated in his children's lives.
He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Surviving are a daughter,
Colleen, at home; two sons, Jesse, Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Jonathan, at home;
a brother, Kerri Hahn, Lititz; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

MARTIN F. KRAUSE
Martin F. Krause, 63, a longtime resident of Madison Township, died
November 5 in Mercy Hospice. His wife is the former Marquita Hahn. They
had been married for 42 years. Born in Moscow, son of the late Herbert
and Ruth Wheeler Krause, he was a 1955 graduate of Scranton Central High
School, and attended Temple University extension in Scranton. Until 1958,
he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and was currently a member
of the Moscow United Methodist Church. He joined the Navy in 1955, and
was trained as an electrical technician, serving in Bainbridge, Md., Norfolk,
Va., and aboard the USS Gainard. After his discharge from the Navy, he
worked as a draftsman for Bellante and Clauss Architects and Engineers,
and later for ADT Security as a service technician followed by a promotion
to regional supervisor in Alexandria, Va., fro Washington, D.C., and seven
surrounding states. He retired from ADT in 1989. Surviving are two daughters,
Kathleen Farr and Kelley Tayoun, both of Spring Brook Township; two sons,
Kenneth and Kyle, both of Madisonville; a brother, Herbert, Moosic; a granddaughter;

Dorothy J. Mathias, 238 Old Post Road, Edison, N.J., formerly of Gouldsboro,

of the late Andrew C. Sr. and Ruth Major, she was a graduate of Moscow
High School. She lived in New Jersey for 35 years and was employed by First

MICHAEL A. KRUL
Michael A. Krul, 59, West Scranton, died November 6 at Mercy Hospital.
His widow is the former Mary Genovese. They celebrated their 43rd wedding
anniversary July 30. Born May 27, 1941 in Scranton, son of the late Michael J. and Eleanor Dargatis Krul, he was educated in St. Mary of the Assumption
High School. He served with the Army 1st Engineer Batallion at Fort Riley,
Kan. He was a member of St. Lucy's Church and formerly had been employed
as a foreman in the cutting room of CD Sportswear, and as a cutter at Vermont
Sportswear, Taylor, until his disability. He was a loving and caring husband,
father, brother, uncle and nephew, who enjoyed the love and company of
family and friends. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and memorabilia
collector. He also enjoyed Penn State football and Phillies baseball. He
was known as a gentle and quiet man who never spoke out of turn or with
anger, and who held no animosities. He will be forever cherished in the
hearts of his family. Also surviving are a daughter, Eleanor, at home;
two sisters, Angela Bouselli, Moscow; and Elaine Borys, Scranton; nieces,

MARY BANICK DELOREY
Mary Banick Delorey, 79, Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Moscow, died
November 4 after a yearlong struggle with pancreatic cancer. She was the
wife of William J. Delorey. Born March 22, 1921, in Scranton, daughter
of the late Simon and Frances Kruper Banick, she was a graduate of Dunmore
High School and Scranton-Lackawanna Business College. She was an active
member of St. Andrew's Church, Myrtle Beach, for the past 13 years, and
was a member of St. Catherine's Church, Moscow, from 1945 to 1987. In recent
years, she was an active volunteer at the Grand Strand Senior Center of
Myrtle Beach. Surviving are a daughter, Jan Delorey-Lytle, King George,
Va.; four brothers, William, John, George and Cy Bancik; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Ann Henderson; a brother,

EDWARD J. WILTSHIRE
Edward J. Wiltshire, 63, a resident of Elmhurst Township for 34 years,
died November 6 at Community Medical Center after being stricken at home.
His widow is the former Shirley Price. The couple had been married for 40 years. Born in Scranton, son of the late Edward J. and Helen Grywinski Wiltshire, he was a 1955 graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He
was a machine operator at Fitchburg Coated Products, Scranton, for 23 years
until his retirement. Years ago he worked for the Boston Cleaners in the
Green Ridge section of Scranton. As a member of the Bidwell Hill United
Methodist Church, he was chairman of the board and also sang in the choir.
He also put in many hours on the construction of the church's new addition.
He was former chief of the Elmhurst Roaring Brook Volunteer Fire Company
and had also served as its president and secretary. Also surviving are
three daughters, Diane Wiltshire, Dunmore; Lori Lewis, Union Dale; and
Sherri Coviello, Dunmore; a son Ed Jr., Madisonville; four sisters, Jean
Cwynar, Moscow; Dorothy Monopoli, Prospect, Conn.; Shirley Blanchard, Montdale;
and Marlene Kakareka, Tennessee; a brother, Robert, Dickson City; two grandsons,
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Audrey Webb.

PETER KOVAL
Peter Koval, 81, Toms River, N.J., died November 7 at the Community
Medical Center, Toms River. His wife, Claryse Koval, died in 1990. Born
and raised in Dunmore, he lived in Seneca, S.C., for 23 years before moving
to Toms River about a year ago. He was employed as a tool and die maker
with Fedders Air Conditioning, Newark, N.J., for many years. He was an
Army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member
of the Disabled American Veterans. While living in South Carolina, he participated
in many church and community activities as well as being a member of the
barbership quartet. He also volunteered for many years with various animal
shelters. Surviving are a son, Daniel Richard Koval, Oceanport, N.J.; two
daughters, Carol Koval, St. Louis, Mo.; and Louise DeLoy, Toms River; a

Esther Pauline Novajosky, Nicholson RD 1, died November 1 at Community Medical Center after an illness. Born in Lackawanna, N.Y., daughter of the late Herman Err and Mary T. Lydon Backus, she had resided in the Nicholson
area for more than 30 years. Prior to retiring this year, she was employed
as a seamstress by Gold Star Manufacturing and Triple A Trouser for 40
years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Nicholson, and the Unite

JOSEPH KOFLANOVICH
Joseph Koflanovich, 72, of Mount Cobb, died October 28 at home after
a long battle with cancer. His wife of 48 years is the former Irene Helmheckel.
Born Dec. 24, 1927, in Glen Lyon, son of the late John and Mary Lengle
Koflanovich, he graduated from Newport Township High School and Wilkes-Barre
School of Business and served his country in the Army. Before retirement
from Prudential Insurance Co., he worked for the CIA in Washington, D.C.
He was a member of St. Eulalia's Church, Elmhurst, where he was active
in the monthly breakfast kitchen crew. He helped form the Jefferson Township
Little League and was a former member of the Jefferson Township Lions Club.
He was a man of strong faith and honesty and a devoted husband and father
whose joy was his family. Also surviving are three daughters, Teresa Ei,
Moscow; Dr. Susan Underwood, Harleysville; and Karen Brownell, Clinton,
N.J.; four sons, Thomas, Tucson, Ariz.; David, Olympia, Wash.; Daniel,

a graduate of Archbald High School and a member of Holy Rosary Church.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

James F., both of Scranton; a brother, Paul, Delaware; 11 grandchildren,
five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by a daughter, Rose Dougherty; four brothers, Vincent, Terrance, Robert
and Gerald; and a grandson.
DOROTHY WALSH MARR, RN
Dorothy Walsh Marr, RN, formerly of 99 William St., Pittston, died
October 27 at Mercy Hospital. Born and raised in Pittston, daughter of
the late Patrick and Mary Newcomb Walsh, she was a graduate of St. John
the Evangelist High School, Pittston, and of Mount Sinai Hospital School
of Nursing, New York. She worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years
in both New York and Pittston. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia
Marr Mader, Mount Pocono; Marilyn Marr Watson, Lake Ariel, and Helen Marie
Marr Kearney, with whom she resided; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren;
and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Keller
and Helen Reynolds; and two brothers, Joseph and Aloysius Walsh. The funeral

SIDNEY KATZ
Sidney Katz, 86, Stroudsburg, died October 29 in Newfoundland. His
wife, the former Ethel Caplan, died in 1974. Born April 3, 1914 in Brooklyn,
N.Y., son of the late Jacob and Rebecca Katz, he had lived in the area
since 1960. He retired as manager of D. Katz and Sons, Stroudsburg, having
been associated with his cousin in the business from 1960 until 1990. He
was a member of the Temple Israel in Stroudsburg and the Knights of Pythias,
Brooklyn. Surviving are a daughter, Judith Helbig, Newfoundland; a brother,
Marshall, Boynton Beach, Fla.; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Arnold, who died in 1996. The funeral

John Liptak, 88, of 714 Lackawanna Ave., Mayfield, died October 29
at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. Born March 24, 1912 in Mayfield, son of the late Alex and Antonia Kozakowski Liptak, he was employed as
an electrician by the state Department of Transportation prior to retirement.
He was a member of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church, Jermyn. He was
a graduate of Mayfield High School, where he excelled in football, and
attended the University of Alabama. He was a Navy veteran of World War
II and a member of American Legion Post 610, Mayfield. Surviving are a
sister, Ann Filippone, Lake Ariel; a brother, Edward Liptak, West Hartford,
Conn.; nieces and nephews. His caregiver was Leona Rossi, Mayfield. He
was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary and Julia Liptak, and Libby

Mary J. Kura, Topton, formerly of Peckville, died October 30 at the

schools, and prior to retirement, was employed by the former Billig Shoe
Co., Peckville. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville.

Stephen R. Yeager, 23, of Moscow, died October 28 at his college residence in Middletown, Dauphin County. He was attending Penn State University,
Harrisburg campus, majoring in software engineering. Born in Scranton,
son of Robert A. Yeager Jr. and Debra Waltz Yeager, Moscow, he was a 1995
graduate of North Pocono High School and had attended Penn State University-Worthington
Scranton campus. He was formerly employed by Warren Diamond Co., Scranton.
An avid fan of professional football and basketball, he enjoyed water sports
and snow skiing. He was a member of the Myrtle Street United Methodist
Church. He was loving son, grandson, brother and friend who was always
lending a helping hand. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will
be sorely missed. Also surviving are a brother, Keith, New York City; maternal
grandmother, Audrey Schuster, Scranton; paternal grandparents, Robert A.

George Rushin, 76, Scranton, died November 2 in the Moses Taylor Hospital.

Army veteran of World War II. He was a superintendent for Conrail, formerly
the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, for over 50 years. A loving father and grandfather,

Louis Anthony Perrella, 82, Dunmore, died November 4 at Mercy Hospital Hospice after an illness. His widow is the former Florence Miller. Born in Dunmore, son of the late Charles and Bertha Malia Perrella, he was a
member of St. Mary's of Mount Carmel Church, Dunmore. He was educated in
the Dunmore School District and was employed at Haddon Craftsman Book Co.
38 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid
fan of horse racing and enjoyed the races with his friends. He was a great
friend to all and will be sadly missed by many. Surviving are a son, Charles,

nieces, nephews, cousins and a grandniece. He was preceded in death by

QUENTIN L. MEAD
Quentin L. Mead, 60, a lifelong resident of Madison Township, died
November 3 in the Mercy Hospice after a battle with cancer. His widow is
the former Jane Marie Arnold. They celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary
Oct. 14. Born at the family homestead in Madison Township, son of the late Harold Gordon and Margaret Davies Mead, he attended the Henry Drinker School
in Madisonville and graduated from Greene Dreher High School in the agricultural
class. He founded the Quentin Mead Maple Products some 20 years ago and
through the years his maple-product stands were well known throughout the
Northeast, especially during his 20 years at the GDS fair. He was a director
of the Northeast Division of the Pennsylvania Maple Producers Association
and did custom farming for various local farmers and fieldwork with the
Pennsylvania Department of Forestry. He was a member of North Pocono Bible
Baptist Church and a former deacon. He was a loving and caring father of
two children and grandfather of seven. Also surviving are a son, Arnold
Gordon Mead, Madisonville; a daughter, April Rose Butler, Chester County;
two sisters, Joyce Eason and Grace Ann Kellogg, both of Madisonville; three

Peter Rozdilski, 76, a lifelong resident of the North Pocono area,
died October 20 in the Abington Manor. His wife, the former Annette Shrader,
died in 1991. Born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Michael and Mary Wensel Rozdilski, he was a graduate of Plains High School. He also attended the
Lancaster Theological Seminary where he completed the lay minister program
for the United Church of Christ. Before his retirement, he was a self-employed
carpet installer, having worked throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. As
a member of Moscow United Methodist Church, he taught the adult Sunday
school and was a lay minister to several churches. He volunteered at the
North Pocono Food Pantry. An active Mason, he was a member of Moscow Lodge
504, Free and Accepted Masons, where he was a past master and member of
the degree team. He also was a member of the Keystone Consistory. He was
an Army Veteran of World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Surviving are two daughters, Lorie J. Reigal, Spring Brook Township; and
Joyce A. Larioni, Herndon, Va.; a son, Peter W., Madison Township; a sister,
Anne Pelak, Little Falls, N.J.; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Faith Gilroy and Rosalie Rozdilski;

George Kathalynas, Lake Ariel, died October 22 in the Lackawanna Health
Care Center, Sturges. His wife, the late Julia Krinick, died in 1994. Born

he attended St. Thomas More Church, Lake Ariel. Prior to retirement, he
had been employed by the Lieberman Co. He was a lightweight boxing champion
in the 1920s, fighting under the name of George Boyd. Surviving are two

John "Jack" G. Baldauff Sr., Dunmore, died October 23 at Mercy Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Anne DeFilips, in
April 1974. His second wife is the former Sara Mead. Born in Scranton,
son of the late Harold and Irene Harry Baldauff, he attended Scranton Technical
High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed
by the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. He was a member of the VFW in Dunmore,
Waldorf Park Club, East Scranton Social Club, Southside Ukavitch Club and
a past member of the Tauras Club. He enjoyed auto mechanics. He was a loving
father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Also surviving are three

Rachel Berezney, Moscow, and a longtime resident of Dunmore, died October 24 at Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Michael Berezney,

and Rose Monturo Chicco, she was a graduate of Scranton schools. She was

woman, she had a love of animals and was very compassionate. She was also

Helen B. Falkowski, a former West Side resident, died October 13 at
the home of her daughter, Charlotte Yevich of Harding, with whom she resided.
She was the widow of Stanley Falkowski, who died in 1988.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Stanley and Jadwiga Stieg Bushak, she was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and was a graduate of the
Scranton State General Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her
nursing degree. She was employed by the Trane Co. for over 22 years. She
was a loving and kind mother who will be missed by her many friends.

Barbara Hague, Nazareth; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two

WALTER BUBERNAK
Walter Bubernak, Old Forge, died October 13 at the VNA Hospice unit
at Community Medical Center after an illness. His widow is the former Roberta
Reed. They had been married for 39 years.
Born in Old Forge, son of the late John and Anastasia Bidnik Bubernak, he was a 1942 graduate of Old Forge High School and attended the University
of Alabama. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in squadron
A2 of the 42nd Army Air Force Base unit.
He had been a contractor, developer and cabinet maker most of his life.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He fought a
very courageous and brave fight against Parkinson's disease. He will be
dearly missed.

of Old Forge; a son, Robert, Charleston, W.Va.; a granddaughter, a sister,

Regina R. Krasko, Moscow, died October 15 at the VNA Hospice Unit at
Community Medical Center after an illness. She was the widow of Theodore
Krasko, who died in May, 1986.
Born in Dickson City, daughter of Martha Wrobel Neyman, Scranton, and the late Julian Neyman, she was employed as a secretary for many years
before retirement. She was a graduate of Dickson City High School and was
a member of St. Adalbert's Polish National Catholic Church, Dickson City.
She was a kind, generous and loving mother who could never do enough
for her family. She desperately missed her husband who was taken so suddenly,
leaving her saddened and lonely, a loss from which she never recovered.
All who knew this elegant and gracious woman will miss her and her extraordinary
style.

Walters, she was a member of the Moravian Church of Newfoundland. She and
her husband owned and operated the Geo-Lou Farm Market of Newfoundland.
She was a member of the Ladies of Paupack Rebekah Lodge 559, Order of the
Eastern Star, the Lion's Club of the Woman's Club of Newfoundland.
The family wished to thank the staff of Mountain Rest Nursing Home
and Dr. Gomar for all the love and care she received over the past several
years. Surviving are a son, Robert Rabenold, Gouldsboro; a sister, Jean
Russel, Texas; a brother, Frederick Walters, Allentown; two grandsons and
a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Siegfried, and a brother,
Kenneth Walters.
The funeral was from the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, Route 690
and First Street, Spring Brook Township, with services by the Rev. David
Henkellmann, retired Moravian pastor. Interment, Newfoundland Moravian
Cemetery.

CHARLES G. CRUSE Sr.
Charles G. Cruse Sr., 57, Sterling Township, died October 14 in the
Mercy Hospital hospice unit. His wife is the former Rosemarie Scalsky.
They would have been married for 39 years on Nov. 10.
Born in Peckville, son of the late G. Charles and Carolyn Cook Cruse, he received an associate's degree in business from Lackawanna Junior College
and completed courses with the Commercial Trade Institute, where he received
his certification in auto mechanics. He was the service manager for the
Sun Auto Group, formerly Abington Auto, in Clarks Summit, from its inception
18 years ago. He was a member of the Hollisterville Baptist Church. He
belonged to the Service Managers Club and the Moscow Lodge 504, Free and
Accepted Masons. He was also an Air Force veteran.
Also surviving are a daughter, Corinne Mosher, Magnolia, Del.; a son,
Charles G. Jr., Carbondale; a brother, Kenneth Cruse, Kenneth Square; four
grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James, and a stepsister, Jean O'Connor.
The funeral was from the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, Route 690,
Spring Brook Township, with services by the Rev. William Henwood. Interment, Sterling Cemetery.
