Dorothy L. Titmus, 70, of Bolivar RD 1 died Sunday Jan. 11, 1998 at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. She was born July 4, 1927 in Fairfield Twp. a daughter of the late W. Harry and Lilly (Yeager) Clark. She was a member of First Church of Christ, West Bolivar. She was a beautician for many years in the Bolivar area. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald M. Titmus in 1900 and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Donald G. Titmus and his wife Sandy, of Ryot, and Douglas W. Titmus and his wife Carla of New Florence RD 2; four grandchildren, Christopher Gwston, Brandon, Amy and Kristen Titmus; a great granddaughter Brianne Berkebile; a sister, Grace Zufall of Bolivar RD 1; and a brother Robert Clark of Woodbridge, Va. Bridgett E. (Mrs. Clarence E.) Taylor, 58, of Bolivar RD 1 died Wednesday Dec. 7, 1983 in Lee Hospital, Johnstown. She was born Feb. 28, 1925 in Fairfield Twp. a daughter of the late Patrick and Martha (Shirey) Silk. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert. She is survived by her husband Clarence R. ; three children, Mrs. Linda Flickinger of Bolivar; Mrs. Billie Sue Smithley of Bolivar RD 1 and Robert J. of Bolivar; five grandchildren three sisters Mrs. Alice Empfield of Bolivar RD 1; Mrs. Mary Jane Jackson of Strongsville, Ohio and Beverly Silk of Johnstown; and three brothers, John Silk of Johnstown; Thomas Silk of West Bolivar and Clifford Silk of Lockport. Clarence R. Taylor, 71, of Bolivar RD 1 died Sat. Sept. 25-1993 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. Mr Taylor was born July 15, 1922 in Wilpen son of the late Nellie Taylor Stiffey. He was a World War II Army veteran and belonged to West Bolivar Church of Christ and Bolivar American Legion Post 128. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a machinist by Clark Metal Industries, Blairsville. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Buchanan Taylor of Bolivar RD 1; three children, Mrs. Furguson (Linda) Flickinger of Bolivar and Mrs. Donald (Billy Sue) Smithley and Robert J. RD 1. Also surviving are stepsons Kevin Buchanan of Claycomb, Mo. and Barry Buchanan of Liberty, MO. ; 12 grandchildren, his stepfather Archie Stiffey of Blairsville; a half sister, Agnes Marsh of Blairsville; half brother Arthur Stiffey, Bolivar. He was preceded in death by his mother; his first wife Bridgett Silk Taylor in 1983; a brother William "Snuffy" Smith. Frank A. Rolley Sr., 81, of New Florence died Monday March 25, 1996 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born March 1, 1915 in Johnstown a son of the late Samuel and Mary Jane (Schoop) Rolley. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, West Bolivar, Laurel Valley Senior Citizens and the former owner of F. A. R. Hardware, New Florence. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Forsythe Rolley, on July 2, 1992; five brothers, Harvey, Paul, Robert, Fred, and Samuel Rolley ; four sisters, Elizabeth Cable, Jenny Foster, Ida Bell Guaiducci, and Catherine Rhoades; two grandchildren, Frank A. Rolley III and Richard Lee Gibson; and a stepson, Thomas E. Silk. He is survived by eight children; Mary Jane (Mrs Herbert) Boring of Sterling, Va.; Ginger Gibson of New Florence RD 1; Katherine (Mrs Dean) Cosner, and Ida Bell (Mrs Edward) Callis, both of Hagerstown, Md.; Betty Ruth (Mrs Raymond) Peters of New Florence; Frank A. Lois J. Thomas, 75, of Torrance died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at her home. She was born June 1, 1926 in Bolivar, a daughter of John and Esther Clawson Hughes. She was a member of Torrance United Methodist Church and was retired from Torrance State Hospital, where she had been a psychiatric aide. Survivors include two sons. R. David and wife Kathryn of Blairsville and Forrest K. and wife Janie, New Derry; two daughters, Lorraine Lawson and husband Thomas of Carlisle and Margaret Burd and husband Mark of Derry, a brother Robert of Candler, N. C. seven grandchildren, Shawn and Brian Lawson , Amy McClellan, Jared and Marissa Burd and Nicole and Haley Thomas. Mrs. Margaret E. Henderson 84, of Ligonier died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001 in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born March 25, 1916 in Black Lick. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by the Bethlen Home as a crafts director. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ligonier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Henderson, in 1975; her son, David R. Henderson in 1992 and her daughter Nancy J. Watkins in 1994. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc., 144 E. Main St. Ligonier. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wendell L. Bishop officiating. Interment will be in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
HENDERSON John Robert 83, Bolivar, died Sept. 12, 1999, at UPMC Lee Regional. Born March 31, 1916 son of George and Alice (Muir) Henderson. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Clarence, Boyd, Roy and Hillis; and sisters, Ora Lear and Betty Buckles. Survived by wife of 63 years, Estella M. (Binnie) Henderson, and sons, John R., Lilburn, Ga., and Thomas J., Blairsville, RD; and daughters, Mary Jane Ambrose, New Florence, and Janet R. Grier, Harrisburg; also seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and sister, Florence Decker, New Florence. Retired from Torrance State Hospital. Former coal miner. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Church of Christ, Bolivar. In Lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society.

U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was known for his square dancing. Donald E. Henderson 78, of Latrobe, formerly of Ligonier (Fairfield Twp.) died Thursday Aug. 4, 2005, at his home. He was born Thursday Oct. 7, 1926 in Fairfield Twp. a son of the late Dallas L. and Mildred (Knupp) Henderson. Prior to his retirement in 1985 he had been employed as a hot press operator for the former Washington plant in Derry for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Bethany Unity Methodist Church in Latrobe. Donald was known for his square dancing. He is survived by his wife of 54 years. Eda J. (Toniolo) ; a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Sherry) Mathias of Latrobe; a son Terry L. of Latrobe, a grandson, a sister, Mrs. Willard (Carolyn) Dillon and two brothers; Glenn G. and Edwin L. both of Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Sara Clark. Reception was held at McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc. Ligonier. A funeral service was held with his pastor, the Rev. August B. Twigg officiating. Interment in the Unity Cemetery, Latrobe with full Military honors.

George W. Henderson 87 of Ligonier, died Friday Oct. 15, 2004 in Ligonier Gardens. He was born Oct. 3, 1917 in Fairfield Twp., Westmoreland County, a son of the late Grover C. and Asenith Grubbs Henderson. Prior to retirement he was employed by E.R. Caldwell Land Clearing. He was a member of Fort Palmer United Presbyterian Church, Ligonier Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of the Ligonier American Legion Byers-Tosh Post #267 and Ligonier VFW Post #734. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emily Demmett on April 25, 1983; two sisters, Alice Holman and Louise Donaldson; and three brothers, Charles, James and Blair. He is survived by four sons, Richard and his wife Ruth, and Larry R. and his wife Barbara, both of Latrobe, and George "Doug" and his wife Joyce, and Rex B. and his wife Susan both of Bolivar; and five grandchildren. Services were held Monday in Ligonier with Pastor James Tomb officiating. Interment was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

Blair W. Henderson, 83 of Ligonier died Wednesday morning Jan. 14, 2004 in Ligonier Gardens. He was born July 9, 1920 in Fairfield Twp., a son of the late Grover and Asenith Grubbs Henderson. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a supervisor for E.R. Caldwell Inc., Ligonier. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Fort Palmer United Presbyterian Church, a 50 year member of both the Ligonier Lodge 331 F&AM and the Coudersport Consistory, and a member of the Kingston Sportsmen's Club, VFW 734 and American Legion 267 both of Ligonier. He is survived by three daughters, Rose Mae Johnson, of Bethel Park, Kathy J. Dick and her husband, Thomas, of Apollo, and Beth Ann Kokonaski and her husband, Leonard, of West Newton; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother, George W. of Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bessie McDowell Henderson, in 1983; two brothers, Charles and James; and two sisters, Alice Holman and Louise Donaldson. Friends will be received today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc. Ligonier. Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Fort Palmer United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jim Tomb officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Palmer Cemetery
