Clarence W. "Drummy" Dromgold, 93, of Centralia, Ill., died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998 in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville.
He was a former chief of milk control for the City of St. Louis, Mo., and a native of Loysville. He was the widower of Ruth B. Burlingame Dromgold.
Surviving are a son, Roger A. of Centralia; a brother, Lynn of Duncannon; a sister, Dorothy Mowrer of Willow Springs; and a grandchild.
Services were held Oct. 19 in Irvin Funeral Home. Burial was in in Hillcrest Memorial Park..
William G. Deiter, 68, of Highland Avenue, Duncannon, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born Nov. 30, 1930 in Watts Twp. to the late William H. and Ida Mary (Mowery) Deiter. He was a retired employee of Mack Trucks Inc. of Middletown.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Toland Deiter; a son, Harry W. of Duncannon; two daughters, Bonnie Lee Sobolewski of Duncannon and Tracy Ann Stauffer of Marysville; four sisters, Helen Harling of St. Petersburg, Fla., Erma Downs, Verna Stepp and Zelma Kirkovich, all of Duncannon RR 4; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 23 in Hill United Methodist Church, Duncannon RR 4, with the Rev. Aden Wertz officiating. Burial was in Hill Cemetery, Duncannon RR 4.

Alice L. Dietz, 79, of Louis Lane, Enola, died Thursday, April 16, 1998 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born Nov. 29, 1918 in Newport to the late Guy M. and Mary A. (Arnold) Shope.
She was a former employee of Amity Hall, Duncannon; a past vice president the Enola American Legion Auxiliary; and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Enola, and the Duncannon High School Alumni Association.
Surviving are her husband, Elton H. Dietz; a daughter, Joanne L. Shuey of Carlisle; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 21 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Dennis Snider officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.

Alice Rebecca Dorman, 106, formerly of Marysville, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998 in Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
She was born Oct. 19, 1891 in Rye Twp. to the late John and Ellen (Kohr) Leonard.
She was a member of West Shore Assembly of God, Enola.
She was the widow of Thurston A. Dorman.
Surviving are a daughter, Hilda O. Zimmerman, and a son, Arthur M., both of Marysville; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 26 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, with the Revs. Paul C. Jacobs and Timothy Halbfoerster officiating. Burial was in Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.

Charles A. Donahue, 80, of Front Street, Marysville, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital.
He retired from the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg; was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II; a past master of F&AM Lodge 458, and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, both in Marysville.
Surviving are his wife, Laura Jane Corl Donahue; a daughter, Bonnie S. Lehman of Carlisle; two sons, Craig A. of Enola and Wade M. of Glen Allen, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 16 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was Perry Heights Cemetery, Marysville.

Charlotte Duncan, 89, of Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998 at the home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1909 in Enola to the late Foster R. and Annie Olive (Rafensperger) Zang.
She was retired from Bell Telephone and a member of Duncannon Presbyterian Church.
She was the widow of W. Stewart Duncan.
Surviving are two sisters, Evelyn Winters of Halifax and Dorothy Roberts of Smithville, Texas; four brothers, Lucian Zang of Okeechobee, Fla., Paul Zang of Greenup, Ill., Gene Zang of Ruby, Mich., and John Zang of New Bloomfield.
Services were held Jan. 21 at Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Kenneth Forbes officiating. Burial was in Duncannon Cemetery.

Evelyn H. Davis, 70, of New Bloomfield RR 2 died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998 at her Centre Twp. home.
She was born June 8, 1927 in Blain to the late Elmer and Dollie (Watts) Brickner. She attended Stony Point School and was a member of Little Germany Church of God.
She was the widow of Boyd E. Davis Sr.
Surviving are four sons, Dennis of Newport, Boyd Jr., Elmer and Frank, all of New Bloomfield; five daughters, Dollie Himes of New Bloomfield, Sue Stepp of Steelton, Bo Rusko of Middletown, Rae Belle Reeder of Fannettsburg and Lori Davis of Penfield; two sisters, Joyce McNeal of Harrisburg and Sara Rudy of Mechanicsburg; 23 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 22 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Alan K. Foor officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Helen J. Demmy, 69, of Penbrook died Thursday, July 30, 1998 at home.
She was born in New Bloomfield in 1929 to the late Harry Guy Kinch and Mary E. Rheam of New Bloomfield.
As a child, her family attended the Methodist Church in New Bloomfield. She was a member of the last graduating class (1947) of the former Tressler Lutheran Orphans Home, Loysville, where she attended school due to her mother's employment there. She retired as a teller from Mellon Bank in Penbrook; was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Penbrook, and its choir; and a former member of the Penbrook Fire Company Auxiliary, Harrisburg Area Choral Society and Harrisburg Chapter, Sweet Adelines.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa of Penbrook; a son, Keith of Harrisburg; a sister, Lorraine Kinch Whitmoyer of North Carolina, formerly of Landisburg; and an aunt and uncle, George and Evelyn Rheam of New Bloomfield.
Services were held Aug. 3 in her church with pastors Paul Baglyos and Paul Baranek officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery. Hetrick Funeral Home, Harrisburg, handled arrangements.

Dr. John A. Dunkelberger, 91, of Centre Hall RR 1 died Saturday, May 30, 1998 in Centre Crest Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1906 in Spring Twp. to the late Franklin and Loretta (Smith) Dunkelberger.
He was an otologist in York and Gettysburg and performed the first microscopic surgery at York Hospital.
He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Landisburg RR 1, Sons of the American Revolution, American Medical Association, Pennsylvania and Centre County medical societies, State College Elks, Newport American Legion, past president of Adams County Medical Society and Continental Congress Chapter of SAR York, and a graduate of Penn State University and the University of Pennsylvania.
He was the widower of Thelma Baer Dunkelberger. Surviving are a son, John Jr. of Centre Hall; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m., June 3, at Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Dennis Snyder officiating.

Lester R. Dudley, 72, of Alexander City, Ala., formerly of Newport, died Sunday, July 12, 1998 at Russell Hospital.
He was born Nov. 8, 1925 to the late Harvey Edwin and Alice Dudley.
He was a World War II veteran and a prisoner of war.
He was the widower of Gloyce Williams Dudley.
Surviving are a son, Larry, and a daughter, Carol D. Edmondson, both of Alexander City; six brothers, Lenus C., Wilbur F., Charles Junior, Elwood E., Robert S. and James E., all of Newport; two sisters, Violet Harris of Millerstown and Miranda Burd of Newport; and four grandchildren, Misty and Lance Dudley, Michael Higgins Jr. and Donna Bradford, all of Alexander City.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Dudley. Services were held July 15 at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, Alexander City, with the Revs. Al Johnson and Michael Higgins Jr. officiating. Burial was in Hillview Memorial Park.
