She was born March 29, 1909 in Tyrone Twp. to the late Harry and Annie (Kiner) Kiner.
She was retired from the Newport Dress Factory and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Newport, and Newport American Legion Post 177 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was the widow of Charles Ebersole.
Surviving are three sisters, Betty Raffensperger and Sylvia Huss, both of New Bloomfield, and Mary Snyder of Mechanicsburg; a friend, Doris Noll; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles II.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, in Newport Cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Zang officiating.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

ELIZABETH R. PAINTER
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Marysville.
She was the widow of William C. Painter Sr.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy L. Peters of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, William C. Jr. of New Cumberland and Richard L. of Shermans Dale; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 31 in her church. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.

PEARL RITCHEY
She was born July 5, 1927 in Juniata County to the late Marshall and Eva (Palm) Peterson.
She was a retired floor supervisor for the East Waterford Textile Co. and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, East Waterford.
She was the widow of William Ritchey, who died Jan. 19, 1986.
Surviving are two sons, John W. and Robert P., both of Honey Grove; a daughter, Connie Campbell of East Waterford RR 1; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Dean and Clarence Peterson.
Services were held Nov. 6 in Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with pastor Don Walters officiating. Burial was in McCullochs Mills Cemetery.
GOLDIE I. SHOLLY
She was born March 21, 1921 in Cumberland County to the late Oscar and Bertha Jane (Cook) Smith.
She was the widow of Clarence C. Sholly.
Surviving are two sons, Richard C. of Shermans Dale and Samuel L. of Mechanicsburg; six daughters, Nancy A. Thomas of Carlisle, Linda M. Shank of Dillsburg, Helen M. Shank and Eva J. Shultz, both of Shermans Dale, Patricia L. Suders of Shippensburg and Carol A. Engel of Dillsburg; a brother, Richard Smith of Enola; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles C., and a brother, James A. Cook.
Services were held Nov. 1 in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with pastor Ryan Brown officiating. Burial was in Slate Hill Cemetery.

EVELYN C. EPPLEY
She retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Enola.
She was the widow of Maurice L. Eppley.
Surviving are two daughters, Marsha D. Troup of Mechanicsburg and Barbara A. Scholl of Freeburg; a son, Curtis E. of Duncannon; three brothers, John, Lester and Henry Nace; a sister, Anna McMurray of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 5 in her church. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Cumberland.

ANNIE R. RAPP
She was born Dec. 21, 1925 in Newport to the late Theodore and Marguerite (Stroup) Howell.
She was retired from the Newport Dress Factory; a union steward; a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren where she was a former Sunday school teacher; and enjoyed cake decorating.
She was the widow of James A. Rapp.
Surviving are two sons, Donald W. of Lewisberry and James L. of Newport; a daughter, Debra J. Wilson of Harrisburg; five brothers, Lloyd Lester Howell and Donald Howell, both of Newport; and Charles Howell, Edward Howell and Robert Howell, all of Millerstown; four sisters, Dorothy Benson of Millerstown, Arletta Kauffman of Thompsontown, Ruth Lehman of Virginia and Mary Cree of Newport; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 4 at her church. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

GAYLE JOHNS WEIGLE
She was born Nov. 11, 1925 in Williamsport to the late Sadie Virginia Dorman and Floyd W. Clark Sr.
She was employed by the former Smith-Kline and French in Philadelphia, taught school in the Greenwood School District and was a past office manager at Greenwood Medical Center, Millerstown, the medical office of her husband; a graduate of Upper Darby High School and Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration; a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church, Perry Chapter 459 Order of Eastern Star and Millerstown Civic Club; in her earlier years had coached basketball and hockey for Greenwood High School; and volunteered for many years as a leader for Girl Scouts and 4-H clubs.
She was the widow of Dr. Ross J. Johns, who died Oct. 29, 1979.
Surviving are her husband, John R. Weigle of Millerstown; two daughters, Nancy J. Adair of Chambersburg and Marilyn J. Ryan of Millerstown; a son, James C. Johns of Camp Hill; a sister, June C. Burtch of Columbus, Ohio; a niece, Donna J. Burtch; a nephew, Bill Burtch; and five grandchildren, Clint J. Mitchell, William J. Adair, Stacey N. Adair, Joseph J. Johns and Maria G. Johns.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd W. Clark, who died in June of 1999.
Services were held Nov. 2 in her church. Burial was in Hill Cemetery, New Buffalo.

WALTER S. ROBERTS
He retired in 1955 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and retired from Erdman Anthony Associates, Camp Hill; was a former mayor of Marysville; past president of Marysville Borough Council and Golden Age Club of Marysville; a life member and former chaplain of Marysville Fire Company; a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Marysville, and its consistory, Perry Lodge 458, F&AM, Marysville, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple, Perry-Juniata Shrine Club, Senior Citizens of Marysville, Marysville Lions Club and PASRE; an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Marysville; and was movie operator at the former Galen Theatre, Marysville.
Surviving are his wife, Mae K. Hammaker Roberts; two sons, Ron of Hampden Twp. and William S. of Germany; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 1 in his church. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.

BEULAH WINGENROTH
She was born in Ephrata Twp. to the late Phares L. and Katie (Hibshman) Rudy.
She had worked for the law firm of Roda, Morgan, Hallgren and Heinley, and earlier was an executive secretary of Arthur P. Mylin, former superintendent of Lancaster County schools, and last worked for Hospice of Lancaster County; was a 1926 graduate of Ephrata High School and a graduate of Beckley College, Harrisburg; a member of Bethany United Church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star, both of Ephrata, Ephrata Women’s Club, Young at Heart Club, Nu Nu Sigma Sorority and Lancaster County Library Board; as a teen, played the steel guitar on a weekly radio show; an avid reader and enjoyed dancing, bowling, bicycling and tennis.
She was the widow of Elmer A. Wingenroth, who died in 1998. They were married for 69 years.
Surviving are a son, Neil R. of Port Trevorton, and had resided at Loysville RR 1 for many years; a daughter, Nanci K. Reese of Ephrata; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 2 in Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata. Burial was in Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery, Ephrata Twp.
S. RUTH ADAIR
She was born Aug. 30, 1924 in Perry County to the late Oscar S. and Margaret E. (Gutshall) Adair.
She retired as a secretary to the business manager at Carlisle School District; was a former employee of JW Myers Wholesaler, Carlisle; a 1942 graduate of Blain Vocational School and a 1943 graduate of Central Pennsylvania Business School; a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle, where she served on various committees and was a Sunday school teacher, and Cumberland County Secretaries Association; and a life member of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.
Surviving are her caretakers, Thomas and Beverly Sheaffer of Carlisle; and three cousins, Irene Stelle of North Middleton Twp., Joanne Gutshall Roberts of Mechancisburg and Virgil Gutshall of Blain.
Services were held Nov. 9 in her church with the Rev. Sterlen S. Sheaffer officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.

PAMELA A. GAMBER
She was born Jan. 16, 1957 in Chambersburg.
She was a 1988 graduate of Shippensburg University.
Surviving are her husband, David J. Gamber; her parents, James T. III and Teresa G. Alter of Boyertown; two brothers, Randy Alter and James Alter, both of Boyertown; two sisters, Becky Semple of Pottstown and Josie Eagle of Reading; and her paternal grandmother, Ethel M. Alter of New Bloomfield.
Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.

LESTER J. KRATZER
He was born April 8, 1920 in Middleburg to the late Reno and Dora (Mitchell) Kratzer.
He retired from Shaull Equipment & Supply Company, Lemoyne, as a heavy equipment mechanic; was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; a Lutheran; and enjoyed working on lawn mowers.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Beatrice Specht; a son, Dennis E. of Duncannon; two daughters, Sandra M. Litz of Carlisle and Leona J. Arnold of Newport RR 2; a brother, Graydon of Lewisburg; six grandchildren, Denny L. and Keisha Kratzer, Edward Wass, Scott True, Sheila Reisinger and Tammy Snudden; six great-grandchildren, Derick and Devan True, Robin and Amanda Reisinger and Kristi and Kaitlyn Good.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Doyle, Milo and Stanley; and five sisters, Dorothy Sanders, Hulda Ewig, Verna Herbster, Edna Walters and Eva Knouse.
Services were held Nov. 9 in Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Raymond D. Neitz officiating. Burial was in Globe Mills Cemetery, Middleburg RR 3.
