She was born May 6, 1953 at Carlisle Hospital to Thomas D. Shannon of Loysville and the late Jessie E. (Nesbit) Shannon.
She was a van driver for Rohrer Bus Service, Duncannon; a 1971 graduate of West Perry High School, Elliottsburg, and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Loysville RR 1.
In addition to her father, surviving are her husband, Douglas K. Wolford; two sons, Joshua J. and Zachary D., both at home; two brothers, James D. Shannon and Thomas F. Shannon, both of Loysville; a stepbrother, Ronald Morrow of Loysville; and several cousins.
Services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 29, in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Walter L. Hafer Jr. officiating.

ROBERT M. ODONEL
He was born March 21, 1919 in New Germantown to the late James and Rhoda (Morrow) O’Donel.
He retired as wrapping supervisor after 35 years at Hershey Foods Corp.; a 1936 graduate of Blain High School; an Air Force veteran of World War II, flying as a member of Zempke’s Wolfpack; a member of Annville United Methodist Church, Annville American Legion; Annville VFW and Hershey Retirees.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Grace Miller O’Donel; a son, Robert M. Jr. of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 19 in Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

RICHARD H. BINGAMAN
He was born July 9, 1939 in Penn Twp., Snyder County, to the late Clark and Ethel (Martin) Bingaman.
He worked as a wrestling mat repairman for Resilite Sports Products Inc., Northumberland; attended Middleburg Grammar Schools and East Juniata High School; a life member of Hummels Wharf Fire Company and a social member of Sunbury Eagles; and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne E. of Sunbury and Richard H. Jr. of Northumberland; a daughter, Carol A. Wilks of Sunbury; five sisters, Audrey Strawser and Frances Miller, both of Liverpool, Lois Rauch of Lewistown, Marge Clegg of Newport and Bernetta Boyer of Duncannon; and six grandchildren, Tehani, Kara and Kenneth Jr. Koons, Rebecca Wilks and Coty and Lacy Bingaman.
Services were held Nov. 26 at David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Sunbury, with the Rev. Franklin McCaslin officiating. Burial was in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.

GEORGE DENGLER
He was born Oct. 26, 1918 in Oberlin to the late George and Mary Ellen (Hivner) Dengler.
He was a member of Redmount United Methodist Church, Blain Ambulance, VFW, and Teamsters Union; and an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Richard A. of Harrisburg; two daughters, Donna Freet of Loysville and Shirley Hoffman of Dillsburg; a sister, Barbara Fasnach of Spring Hill, Fla; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Burial was in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.

MARY LOU KELLY
She was born in Altoona to the late Harry and Alberta (Ling) Schenck.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Marysville.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Kelly; a daughter, LuAnn Stein of Harrisburg; three sons, W. Bruce Cliber of Allyn, Wash., Richard M. Cliber of Duncannon and David P. Cliber of New Cumberland; a sister, Jean Boggs of Fairless Hills; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Eric Kelly.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 25 in her church. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, handled arrangements.

MARLENE J. BOMBA
She was born Feb. 18, 1953 in Anthony Twp., Montour County, to the late Raymond E. and Grace E. (Plotts) Spangler.
She worked in the deli at Wal-Mart, Lewisburg; was formerly employed by Probity Enterprises, Campbell’s General Store, Landisburg, and PennDOT, Harrisburg; a 1953 graduate of the former North Mont High School, Turbotville; a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Watsontown and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Blain.
She was the widow of Casimer J. Bomba, who died Jan. 23, 2002. They had been married 40 years.
Surviving are a son, Joseph C. of Landisburg; a stepdaughter, AnneMarie Vlavianou of Athens, Greece; three sisters, Leah M. Barananskas of Bloomsburg and Doris L. Rickert and Ella G. Fowler, both of Watsontown; three grandchildren, Jamie Lynn, Corey and Ian Bomba; and two stepdaughters, Lenia and Mirianda Vlavianou.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elton and Edgar Spangler; and three sisters, Augusta Mitcheltree, Wilma Hartman and Althea Mincemoyer.
A graveside service was held Nov. 26 in Old Turbotville Cemetery with the Rev. W. Stevens Shipman officiating.
Brooks Funeral Home, Turbotville, handled arrangements.

HELEN M. MILLER
She was the widow of Harold M. Miller.
Surviving are a son, Elwood L. of Enola; a daughter, Valeria M. Heikes of Camp Hill; a brother, Layton Harris of Milford, Del.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 22 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville.
GORDON W. FOOSE SR.
He was born Aug. 9, 1938 in Greenwood Twp. to the late David and Lottie (McGowan) Foose.
He was retired from Hempt Bros.; a Navy veteran; attended Church of the Living Water and Central Baptist Church; a member of Sure Shot Gun Club in Potter County, Susquehanna Sportsmen’s Club and AmVets, Thompsontown; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Violet Swartz Foose; two sons, Gordon “Chuck” Jr. of Liverpool and Maurice “Andy” of New Buffalo; three daughters, Brenda Rogalski of New Buffalo, Doris Foose of Millerstown and Wendy Verdensky of Harrisburg; two brothers, David and William, both of Millerstown; three sisters, Phyllis Kramer of McAlisterville, Doris Bookwalter of Seven Stars and Maxine Long of Liverpool; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by a daughter, Lana M. Harman, and a brother, Harry.
Services were held Nov. 23 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial, with military honors by New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463, was in Wrights Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Millerstown.

ALICE M. KING
She was born Aug. 7, 1910 in Duncannon to the late Curtis and Julia (Lowe) Maxwell.
She was a member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church, Harrisburg, Verna Shade Memorial Sunday School Class and the church choir, a Sunday school teacher in the primary department for 30 years, and a Girl Scout leader at the church for 15 years; and a 1929 graduate of Duncannon High School.
She was the widow of Charles M. King, who was a retired Harrisburg fireman.
Surviving are a son, George W. of Mifflintown RR 4; two sisters, Florence Dietz of Duncannon and Mary Ellen Kelly of Dauphin; a brother, Carl Maxwell of Duncannon; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara A. Crossland.
Services were held Nov. 23 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Eugene Liddick officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.

MARGARET E. KERLIN
She was born June 5, 1918 in Harrisburg to the late Raymond S. and Cora (Lynch) Zimmerman.
She was a life member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Lemoyne, and enjoyed flea markets, shopping and gardening.
She was the widow of Fred G. Kerlin, who died Nov. 27, 1971.
Surviving are two daughters, Rita R. Wonders of Perry County and Linda L. Young of Camp Hill; a brother, Raymond S. Zimmerman of Georgia; a grandson, Steven E. Ramsey of Perry County; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy I. Stuckey.
Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, handled arrangements.

PEARL N. SHEFFER
She was born Aug. 19, 1928 at Skyline Corner, Juniata Twp., to the late Walter S. and Leuzetta (Reisinger) Newlin.
She was retired from the West Perry School District as food service director and secretary to the administrator of West Perry schools; graduate of Thompson Business Institute; served eight years as Saville Twp. tax collector; and active in Ickesburg United Church of Christ as an organist, choir director, Sunday school teacher and member of women’s organizations.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Stewart E. Sheffer; a son, Lynn D. of Newport; a daughter, Marlene R. McPherson of Ickesburg; two brothers, Clarence Newlin of Eshcol and Henry Newlin of Liverpool; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 22, in her church with the Revs. James Gold and Karen Easterly officiating. Burial will be in Eshcol Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

NORTH SMITH
He was born to the late J. Clyde Sr. and Estella B. (Siebert) Smith.
He was a retired civil engineer for the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers, having worked in Baltimore, Md., Hanvoer, N.H., and San Francisco, Calif.; served in the Army during the Korean War; a graduate of Blain Union High School, and received a B.S. degree from Penn State University in civil engineering and a master’s degree from the University of Washington in Seattle; a past master of Cheshire Lodge 23 F&AM, Cornish Flat, N.H.; and a life member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Ann German Smith; two sons, North Craig of Pegram, Tenn., and Jeffrey G. of Blain; three daughters, Sharon L. Stuckey of Dayton, Ohio, Diane K. Skender of Reno, Nev., and Patti E. Harrild of Lyme, N.H.; five brothers, J. Clyde Jr. of Shermans Dale, Donald S. of Duncannon, Dean R. of Mechanicsburg, and Larry E. and Dennis G., both of Blain; two sisters, Charlotte E. Carlin of Newville and Dotty J. Linard of Maytown; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 29, in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Nov. 29, in the funeral home.

ALLEN W. HENRY
He was born Jan. 27, 1947 in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, to Ruth A. Danner Henry of Carlisle and the late Roy A. Henry.
He was retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Harrisburg; a member of New Hope United Church of Christ, Landisburg, formerly St. Peter’s United Church of Christ where he was a deacon, elder, past president of St. Peter’s Cemetery Association and a former Cemetery caretaker; and a charter member of Susquehanna Valley Chapter of American Truck Historical Society and Perry County Iron Collectors.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Fay Yohn Henry; two daughters, Beth Ann Henry of Carlisle and Diane H. Shope of Landisburg; and three grandchildren, Dylan Vaughn, Emma Elizabeth and Paige Renee Shope.
Services were held Nov. 22 in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Landisburg, with the Rev. George C. Martz officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
