He was a butcher for Sea-Brite Corp., Dry Run; a 1989 graduate of Kishaquillas High School; and had attended Allensville Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife of six years, Christine Ripple Kurtz; three children, Ariona N. Ripple, Dale A. Kurtz Jr. and Justin D. Kurtz, all at home; his parents, David L. and Linda Miller Kurtz of Belleville; a brother, Michael L. of Belleville; and his maternal grandmother, Mary E. Miller of Drifting.
A memorial service was held Nov. 23 in Allensville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Geof-frey A. Huish officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery.
Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lewistown, handled arrangements.

THOMAS D. BOWERS
He was born in Mount Carmel.
He was a retired school teacher from Susquenita School District, after 30 years; a graduate of Lock Haven College; a member of First United Methodist Church, Ciega Village Social Club and Pinellas Park Art Society; and an accomplished dancer.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Melva M. Bowers; a son, Thomas Jay of Marysville; three sisters, Ruby McCarthy of Gardners, Grace Remsburg of Harrisburg and Beverly Eisenberger of Camp Hill; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
MARY R. HEPFER
She was born Jan. 19, 1923 in Penn Twp. to the late Oscar and Margaret (Taylor) Raub.
She was co-owner of the former Hepfer Feed & Hardware Store; a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Duncannon, Duncannon High School Alumni Association, Shermanata Grange 1796, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 459, Duncannon Golden Age Club and Duncannon Senior Citizens.
She was the widow of Paul W. Hepfer.
Surviving are a son, William E. of East Amherst, N.Y.; a daughter, Peggy H. Miller of Duncannon; two brothers, Charles Raub of North Carolina and G. Michael Raub of Enola; three sisters, Freda Ebersole and Ruth Kiner, both of Camp Hill, and Helen Shatto of Duncannon; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 24 in her church with the Rev. Alan Foor officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, handled arrangements.

MATTIE F. LATSHAW
She was born in April of 1913 in Ranger, N.C.
She owned and operated Modern Beauty in Copper Hill, Tenn. throughout the 1930s. During World War II she became a LPN in Pittsburgh. She retired from Rhea County National Bank.
She was a charter member of Martha Chapter, OES, Ranger, N.C.; a certified Tennessee floral judge; and was active in her church and community.
She was the widow of Isaac Art Latshaw.
Surviving are a daughter, Eileen Latshaw Benfer of Marysville; three sons, John, David and Philip, all of Tennessee; a niece, the Honorable Judge Eunice L. Ross of Pittsburgh; three nephews, Richard K. Latshaw and Ray Latshaw, both of Pittsburgh, and Ray Fox of Georgia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held in Tennessee.
Neumyer Funeral Home, Harrisburg, handled local arrangements.

LOIS J. BROWNE
She was born April 24, 1932 in Millerstown to the late Harold “Bobby” and Margaret Daughenbaugh.
She had lived in Las Vegas for 15 years; was a homemaker; and a member of Women of the Moose, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, all in Las Vegas.
Surviving are three sons, Ron Kerr and John Shroeder, both of Millerstown, and George Browne of Las Vegas; three daughters, Cheryl Bell of Los Angeles, Calif., Pam Huston of Eugene, Ore., and Starlyn Alldredge of St. George, Utah; a sister, Ruth Bitting of Millerstown; two brothers, Charles Daughenbaugh of Millerstown and Donald Daughenbaugh of Montoursville; 21 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Strickland of Newport and Norma Boone of Phoenixville.
Services were held Jan. 14 in Las Vegas.

JOHN C. RUDY
He was born Jan. 10, 1926 in Newport to the late John F. and Zelda Rudy.
He was the proprietor of Rudy’s Garage in Duncannon and attended Christ Community Church, Camp Hill.
He was the widower of Grace Messinger Rudy.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Gallagher Rudy; five daughters, Peggy L. Gehman of Newport, Shiela R. Correale of Camp Hill, Karen J. Johnston of New Cumberland, Robin M. Reynolds of York Springs and Gracie I. Willoughby of Etters; three sons, Dean R. and Dale C., both of New Bloomfield, and John F. of Harrisburg; a stepson, Thomas F. Todd of Florida; three stepdaughters, Margaret Todd of Florida, Debra Todd of New Jersey and Lillian E. Bixler of Williamsport; several brothers and sisters; 25 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis E. McGay.

EVELYN M. GOOD
She was a member of Women of the Moose, Capital Area Lodge, Marysville.
Surviving are her husband, Charles K. Good Sr.; two sons, James B. Musselman of Mechanicsburg and Charles K. Good Jr. of Harrisburg; three daughters, Toni M. Rajak of Marysville, Vicki A. Coward of Mechanicsburg and Linda J. Seeger of New Cumberland; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

MARGARET E. HOFFMAN
She was born May 1, 1917 at Saville to the late Martin and Annie (Fritz) Fuller.
She had worked at the Selinsgrove State Center and for the Department of Revenue in Harrisburg; was a member of Tuscarora Church of the Brethren; and enjoyed gardening, listening to Christian music and watching religious programs on TV.
She was the widow of Harvey A. Hoffman, who died March 8, 1973.
Surviving are three sons, James C. of Thompsontown, John M. of McAlisterville and Robert A. of Ickesburg; two daughters, Rebecca Schlegel of Thompsontown and Susan Imes of Cocolamus; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen McDonald.
Services were held Jan. 25 in Guss Funeral Home, Mifflintown, with the Rev. James A. Niemond Jr. officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery, Saville Twp., Ickesburg.

JOSEPH MOHN SR.
He was a steelworker for Bethlehem Steel.
Surviving are his wife, Marlene Mohn of Enola; a son, Joseph Jr. of Enola; a daughter, Shelby Mohn of Marysville; a brother, Ronald of Steelton; seven sisters, Dessie Naugle of Carlisle, Goldie Heinline of Quincy, Irene Escobar of Elizabethown, Linda Lackey of Orlando, Fla., and Anne Marie Zimmerman, Frances Ickes and June Botts, all of Harrisburg.
Arrangements were handled by Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg.
GLENN I. CASNER
He was born April 16, 1941 in Loysville to the late E. Banks and Irene E. (Lauver) Casner.
He was employed for 29 years at Carlisle Syntec; a 1961 graduate of Big Spring High School, Newville; an Army veteran; a member of CSI/CT&W Bowling League and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299, both of Carlisle; and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Loye M. Fraker Casner; a daughter, Mary E. Casner of Newville; three brothers, Henry B. of Plainfield, Jene A. of Newville and Earnest J. of Hammond, N.Y.; four sisters, Phyllis T. Beaston and JoAnn Fensterbush, both of Carlisle, Donna M. Landis of Whitefish, Mont., and Doris E. Reed of Enola; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Feb. 12 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Russell Baer Jr. officiating. Burial was in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

JOSIAH F. DUM
He was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Elliottsburg to the late Josiah F. Sr. and Grace (Evans) Dum.
He was a former employee of PPG Industries, Carlisle, retiring in 1981, and attended Christ Lutheran Church, Aspers.
Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Clara Smith Dum; a daughter, Jacie G. Miller of Elliottsburg; three sons, Gerald A. Dum of Biglerville, John L. “Lanny” Duke of Carlisle and Kenneth L. Dum of Mechanicsburg; two stepdaughters, Debra K. Copenhaver of Biglerville and Jane L. Smith of Gardners; two sisters, Betty Bower of Green Park and Ruth Flickinger of Landisburg; a brother, Glenn of New Bloomfield; four grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; six stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandsons.
Services were held Feb. 7 in Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville, with the Rev. Robert S. McEllroy III officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.

HENRY A. FELTY
He was born Sept. 7, 1916 in Schuylkill County to the late Curtis and Martha (Cooper) Felty.
He retired from Conrail; was a Navy veteran of World War II; had attended Millerstown United Methodist Church; lifetime member of Huntingdon Moose and a member of Newport VFW Post 34; and an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing and hunting.
He was the widower of Anna Seigler Felty.
Surviving are four daughters, Betty Ann Shaver of Chester Springs, Alice M. Beasom of Port Royal, Debbi A. Spernak of California and Tina E. Knisely of Millerstown; three sisters, Pauline Grim and Raydell Wychunas, both of Pottsville, and Nancy of Texas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 12 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport. Burial, with military honors, was in Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville.
WAYNE M. HOLLEY
He was born March 27, 1932 and was the foster son of the late Edward and Agnes Bair.
He was retired from Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot (DDM) and was a former secretary-treasurer and road foreman for Carroll Twp. Board of Supervisors; former treasurer of Shermans Dale Ambulance Association; and a member of Shermans Dale United Methodist Church, where he had served as chairman of the administrative board, Shermans Dale Fire Company and Shermans Dale Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Holley; a brother, E. Kenneth Bair Sr. of New Bloomfield; a sister, Jane Garwood of Loysville; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces and great-great-nephews and nieces.
Services were held Feb. 11 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. N. Jefferson Brewster officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
JOANNE R. COONS
She was born Feb. 11, 1935 in Penbrook to the late George R. and Margie Anna (Cashman) Roth.
She was a schoolteacher at Carroll Elementary School in the West Perry School District, retiring in 1993; a graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg, and a 1957 graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree; and a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Bloomfield, Trio Chapter 544, Order of Eastern Star, Mechanicsburg, and Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, Perry County Chapter.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, B. Glenn Coons; a daughter, Melissa A. Anderson of Shermans Dale; a son, Brian G. of Harrisburg; a granddaughter and grandson, Katie E. and Ethan J. Anderson, both of Shermans Dale; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 11 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Jay B. Eickhoff officiating. Burial was in New Oxford Cemetery, Adams County.
