He was born Oct. 27, 1927 in Duncannon to the late Vernon and Muriel (Czubowicz) Wilson.
He attended Maranantha Bible Church, West Fairview; was an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Deloris Rush Wilson; four daughters, Bonnie Seely of Mechanicsburg, Brenda Williamson of Bishopville, Md., Bernice Stahl of New Cumberland and Benita Berg of Bel Air, Md.; a son, Robert E. Jr. of Etters; four brothers, Vernon and Larry, both of Newport, and Alfred and Robert L., both of Duncannon; a sister, Janet Evans of Middletown; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William John Wilson.
Services were held Oct. 20 in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. David Eddy officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Carlisle.

DESSIE J. BALTOSSER
She was born June 22, 1908 at Blain RR 1 to the late Wilson and Emma K. (Anderson) Robinson.
She was retired from the Carlisle Garment Factory and was a homemaker; and a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Blain, and Green Grove Sunday School, Loysville RR 1, Blain Ambulance Club, Blain Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Women of the Moose Chapter 21, Millerstown.
She was the widow of Samuel L. Baltosser.
Surviving are four granddaughters, Judy K. Hollenbaugh of New Germantown, Dixie E. Reeder of Blain, Audrey A. Yohn of Blain and Cindy R. Taylor of Blairs Mills; a grandson, Raymond S. “Sam” Yohn of Loysville; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen V. Yohn; two brothers, Luther and David Robinson; and a sister, Dora Hockenberry.
Services were held Oct. 16 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Robert Koch officiating. Burial was Blain Cemetery.
GEORGE H. COOVER
He was born Sept. 12, 1934 in Horse Valley to the late Eber David Coover and Mary Jane (Nettie) Thomas.
He was a former employee of Tire and Rubber and Kinney Shoes and was a retired electrician; and a recent convert and baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Carlisle Ward.
He was the widower of Doris Betty Jane Weller, to whom he was married for 52 years.
Surviving are a son, Michael Robinson, and two daughters, Sandra Adams and Lorrie Nulton of Shermans Dale; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Central Pennsylvania Cremation Society handled arrangements.
RICHARD V. METZGAR SR.
He was born Aug. 11, 1913 in Erie to the late William and Mabel (Valentine) Metzgar.
He was a retired Navy lieutenant commander, serving for 22 years and on board the USS California during the attack on Pearl Harbor; a 1931 graduate of Erie Academy, Erie; former assistant manager at Masland & Sons; treasurer of Shermans Dale Fire Company for 27 years; a member of Fleet Reserve Association; and of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are a son, Richard V. Jr., and a daughter, Linda Kessinger, both of Shermans Dale; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Spacht.
Services were held Oct. 21 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. Hugh Foshee officiating. Burial was in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.

THOMAS H. WEIDENHOF SR.
He was born July 2, 1925 in Cumberland County to the late William and Catherine (Hummel) Weidenhof.
He was retired from Leroy Roofing; a member of Liverpool American Legion Post 364, Harrisburg VFW Post 148 and Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 19; and an avid fisherman and bowler and enjoyed playing with stereo equipment.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mabel Jolly.
Services will be held at noon, Wednesday, Oct. 22, in David M. Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Michael Witmer officiating. Burial, with military honors by Liverpool American Legion, will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport.
Viewing will be from 11 to noon, Wednesday.
HOWARD M. OESTERLING SR.
He was born in Summit Twp., Butler County, and was one of 11 children born to James A. and Elizabeth Oesterling. He and his family moved to Marysville in 1945, where he was a landscape contractor and tree surgeon before his retirement.
He was active in community activities and service organizations everywhere he lived. Since he had an older sister who lost her sight at an early age, he was dedicated to the work of the Lions Club in the organization’s efforts to help the blind. He held life membership in Lions International and was an international counselor for eight years. He was governor of District 14-T and past president of Marysville Lions Club. He founded the George Nissley Memorial Eye Bank substation and was the local supervisor of the eye bank activities. He was awarded the Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for dedicated service.
He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, having organized Scout Troop 12 in Butler and Cub Scout Pack 56 in Marysville. He served as Scoutmaster for four years and Cubmaster for 11 years.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Marysville, where he previously served on the church council and as Sunday school superintendent and taught the Men’s Bible Class. He formerly was a member of Sebring Presbyterian Church in Sebring, Fla.
He was the widower of Rachel Otto Oesterling, to whom he was married 64 years.
Surviving are three sons, Howard M. Jr. of Marysville, Jeffrey P. of Inkom, Idaho, and C. Vance of California; two daughters, Linda L. Bowers of Salem, Ore., and Michal A. Wert of Newburg, Ore.; a sister, Margaret Neyman of Butler; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, in Zion Lutheran Church, 303 Front St., Marysville.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday.
Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville, is handling arrangements.

JOHN H. KULP JR.
He was born April 20, 1934 at Duncannon to John H. Sr. of Duncannon and the late Elnora (Maxwell) Kulp.
He was retired from Harrisburg Dairies; a graduate of Susquenita High School; and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was the widower of Betty Bohr Kulp.
In addition to his father, surviving are a son, Bryan “Buddy” Kulp of Duncannon RR 4; a sister, Susie Feltman of Tucson, Ariz.; three stepdaughters, Jackie Sherrick of Marysville and Linda Hopple and Carol Trego, both of Harrisburg; a stepson, Robert Miller of Bressler; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Daryl L. Kulp Brewbaker, and a brother, Robert E.
Services were held Oct. 17 in Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Dale Rosenberger officiating. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Garden, Camp Hill
KENNITH E. YOUNG
He was born May 27, 1964 in Enon Valley, Pa., to the late Charles and Lillian (Chambers) Young.
He had been an employee of Hershey Creamery Inc.; an avid outdoorsman; and he enjoyed tree trimming, hunting, fishing and carnivals.
Surviving are his wife, Kim “Noodle” (Hare) Young; two daughters, Kassandra “Snipe” Young, at home, and Katrina Young of Ohio; a twin brother, Kevin, and a sister, Robin Swager, both of Enon Valley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held Oct. 17 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. N. Jefferson Brewster officiating. Burial was in Young’s Cemetery.

LEONARD P. JUMPER SR.
He was a retired building maintenance supervisor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; an Army veteran of the Korean War; a member of VFW Post 882, Marysville; and enjoyed bowling and spending time with his grandchildren.Surviving are his wife, Phyllis A. Mull Jumper; three sons, Leonard P. Jr. of Marysville, George E. of Duncannon and Russell E. of Enola; a brother, Dell L. of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Loretta A. Hillebrand of San Jose, Calif.; a half-sister, Patricia Phillips of Lykens; five grandchildren, Shannon Black, Chad Jumper, Aaron Jumper, Paul Jumper and Kristen Jumper; three stepgrandchildren, Samantha and Cody Heffley and Jake Erb; and two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Wyatt Black.
Services were held Oct. 27 in Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville. Burial was Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

RONNIE L. DEATRICK
He was born Dec. 9, 1958 in Harrisburg to the late Walton C. and Romaine E. (Lehman) Deatrick.
He was a road driver for Overnite Transportation, Mechanicsburg, and a member of Mainsville United Brethren Church, Shippensburg.
Surviving are his wife, Tammy R. Deatrick; two daughters, Tara A. Deatrick of Millerstown and Tracey L. Deatrick, at home; two sisters, Joyce R. Geesaman of Elliottsburg and Beverly A. Springer of Grantville; two brothers, Larry D. of Ickesburg and Dwayne L. of New Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Walton Marlin.
Services were held Oct. 29 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Robert Mentzer officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.

MARY E. LONG
She was born July 29, 1930 in Irishtown to the late Lester and Edna (Miller) Hartlaub.
She was retired from Sylvania Shoe Co. in McSherrystown, after 30 years of service, and was a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Hanover.
She was the widow of Glenn A. Long, who died Feb. 8, 1988.
Surviving are three sons, Dean of Hanover, Francis Sr. of New Bloomfield and Anthony E. Sr. of Walden, N.Y.; six daughters, Donna M. Strausbaugh of Biglerville, Nancy A. Miller and Cynthia S. Myers both of Gettysburg, Joan L. Leister and Gail A. Gantt, both of New Bloomfield, and Mary A. Jones of New Oxford; a brother, Kenneth Hartlaub of McSherrystown; four sisters, Catherine Eck of Bonneauville, Emma Storm of New Oxford, and Martha Louey and Rose Etzler, both of Hanover; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Sr.
Services were Oct. 22 in Hicks Funeral Home, McSherrystown, with the Rev. John A. Szada Jr. officiating. Burial was in St. Vincent Cemetery, Hanover.

She was born Sept. 7, 1915 in Rye Twp. to the late Linus and Mary (Brubaker) Fenicle.
She attended Bethel United Methodist Church, Marysville; was a member of Shermans Dale Ambulance Association; and enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking.
She was the widow of Charles H. Smeigh.
Surviving are a brother, Linus Fenicle of Hershey; three sisters, Violet Bensel of New Bloomfield, Pearl Kitner of Marysville and Jean Kitner of Shermans Dale; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald H.; three brothers, Charles, Maynard and Lester Fenicle; and a sister, Miriam R. Hummel.
Services were held Oct. 28 in David M. Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Harold Bolyard Jr. officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
