She was born May 5, 1917 in Concord to the late Bruce L. and Mary (McMullen) Shearer.
She was a member of East Waterford Presbyterian Church.
She was the widow of Irwin “Pete” Shoop, who died Oct. 13, 1996.
Surviving are five children, Patricia L. Ennist of Honey Grove RR 1, Bonnie L. Yetter of Lewistown, Larry I. of East Waterford, Ray S. of Chambersburg and Carol L. Smith of Ickesburg; a brother, R. Darwin Shearer of East Waterford RR 1; two sisters, Miriam Love of East Waterford and Lois Wert; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clair L. Shearer, and a sister, Marjorie Henry.
Services were held Dec. 6 in her church with the Revs. Tim Yetter, Robert Rhoads and Nick Frauenhoffer officiating. Burial was in Concord Cemetery.

CARL R. DUNKLEBERGER
He was born on his family’s farm in Perry County to the late Clyde and Alice (Rice) Dunkleberger.
He retired in 1983 as a punch press operator for Triboro Electric, Doylestown; a member of Promisedland Sportsman Association; an avid fisherman and did artistic wood burning as a hobby.
Surviving are two sons, Roy L. of Greentown and Glenn D. of Doylestown; and two grandsons, David of Doylestown and Steven of Silverdale.

EMMETT P. SHREFFLER
He was born at Blain to the late Paul E. and Sara G. (Briner) Shreffler.
He was a lifelong self-employed poultry farmer and a bus driver and bus contractor for more than 40 years; an Air Force veteran of World War II; a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Blain, former fire chief and lifetime member of Blain Fire Company and Blain Ambulance Club, and a 55-year member of American Legion Post 232, Dry Run.
He also was a member of Adams Lodge 319, F&M, New Bloomfield, Harrisburg Consistory, Tall Cedars of Lebanon-Juniata Valley Forest 88, Mifflintown, Wally Byam Caravan Club-International Central Pennsylvania Unit, board of directors of Blain Senior Citizens Center, Camp Fairview, and “president” of the meeting gang at the Blain Hotel.
He was an avid baseball fan and an outstanding pitcher in his playing days.
He was the widower of Ruth L. Lyons Shreffler, who died Sept. 1, 1992.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald P. and Jerry W., both of Blain; a sister, Virginia B. “Sis” Simonton of New Bloomfield; a brother, William W. of Camp Hill; six grandchildren, Heidi Adair, Jacqueline Knepp, Stephanie Burnham, Jodi Wallace, Shawn Shreffler and Shane Shreffler; 13 great-grandchildren; and a companion, Joan Stambaugh of Elliottsburg.
He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Charlotte Parker of Pittsburgh, who died several weeks ago.
Services were held Dec. 8 in his church with the Rev. Richard D. Schoenly officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in Blain Cemetery.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

CHARLES E. GLASS
He was born Dec. 11, 1912 in Duncannon to the late Edward and Emma (Shellenberger) Glass.
He was the retired owner of the former Glass Pastry Shop, Kline Village and West Shore Plaza; a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Harrisburg, Paxtang Lions Club and Duncannon High School Alumni Association; and a volunteer at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was the widower of Janet Smith Glass.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara A. Crossley of Harrisburg and Cathleen E. Betz of Hershey; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
A memorial service was held Dec. 5 in his church with the Rev. Kester T. Sobers III officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.

WAYNE H. WOLFE
He was born Oct. 25, 1932 in Bendersville to Inez Barbour Wolfe of Duncannon and the late Harry H. Wolfe.
He was a retired security guard from Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg; an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and later joined the Seabees (Navy); a life member and past commander of VFW Post 255, Duncannon; and a member of American Legion Post 340, Duncannon, and Duncannon Sportsmens Association.
In addition to his mother, surviving are a daughter, Shannon E. Kroh of Halifax; three stepdaughters, Melody Rhoades of Duncannon, Patricia Deiter and Mary Hayberger; a granddaughter, Tasha; a stepgrandson, Rodney; a niece, Cheryl Wolfe Little; and two stepsons, Dick and Scott Minoty.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Shirel Wolfe.
Services were held Dec. 6 in Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Dale Rosenberger officiating. Burial, with military honors by VFW Post 255 and American Legion Post 340, was in Bendersville Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, N.H. 03086-0928, or any charity.
DANIEL A. RUGER
He was born Dec. 9, 1982 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He had worked at Appalachian Motor Inn on the Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle; was a 2001 graduate of West Perry High School, Elliottsburg; was attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania and had attended Harrisburg Area Community College.
Surviving are his parents, Michael F. and Gail A. Swingle Ruger, with whom he lived; two paternal aunts, Edith Lloyd of Enola and Joan Reeser of Mechanicsburg; two maternal aunts, Carol Swingle of Menominee, Mich., and Betty Bowen of Elm Grove, Wis.; and a great-aunt, Betty of South Caanan, Pa.
A memorial service was held Dec. 9 in Glenvale Church of God, Marysville.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family toward a memorial stone that will be placed in Centre Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Loysville RR 1.
DALE A. CLOUSE
He was born May 5, 1922 in Landisburg to the late Alvin and Mary (Barkley) Clouse.
He was a self-employed carpenter and a retired employee of the former Mechanicsburg Naval Depot; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Landisburg First Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Irene M. Clouse; two daughters, Molly Hutzell of Carlisle and Lesa Wilson of Shermans Dale; three brothers, William and Gerald, both of Landisburg, and Thomas of Loysville; three sisters, Verda Sheaffer of Virginia, and Peg Morrison and Nancy Bell, both of Landisburg; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held Dec. 5 2003 in his church with the Rev. H. James Williams officiating. Burial was in Landisburg Cemetery.

BESSIE L. GOHN
She was born in Elizabethtown to the late Harry and Elizabeth (Acker) Lichty.
A receptionist, she retired in 1984 from the Hershey Lodge; was a member of Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren; and was involved with the Newport Senior Citizens Center.
She was the widow of Ira A. Gohn, who died in 1974.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda R. Bates of Newport and Leasa E. Hetzer of Richland, Wash.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Hauck and Georgetta Stern.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, in Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown. Burial will be in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday.
ERNEST R. COLLINS
He was born Dec. 29, 1945 at Millerstown RR 1 to Carrie Hughes Collins of Millerstown RR 1 and the late Charles D. Collins.
He was a carpenter for S&A Homes, Mifflintown, and a self-employed carpenter; an Army veteran; helped with flood cleanup after Hurricane Agnes; butchered for family and friends; an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing and singing country music.
In addition to his mother, surviving are three sons, Raymond of Landisburg, Robert of New Bloomfield and Roger of Millerstown RR 1; a daughter, Jeanette Collins of Lewistown; two brothers and four sisters, Dorothy Emlet and Barbara George, both of Millerstown, Albert Collins of Elizabethville, Martha Tressler of Shermans Dale, Mary Meals of Newport and William Collins of Landisburg; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 26 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. David P. Peterson officiating. Burial, with military honors by New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463 and Newport American Legion Post 177, was in Eshcol Cemetery, Millerstown RR 1.

CLARA N. HARDEN
She was born May 15, 1939, the fifth child of Eugene Harden and the late Ruth Harden.
In addition to her father, surviving are her son, Shemorat Gareem Bey, also known as Robert A. Harden; a sister, Constance Harden; two brothers, Eugene and Robert Harden; four grandchildren, Russell East, Robert Harden Jr., Hadiel (Darnell) Harden and Dawan Harden; and a great-grandchild, Darnell T. Harden.
A graveside service was held Dec. 31 in William Howard Day Cemetery.
Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, handled arrangements.
MILDRED P. HARFORD
She was born Jan. 3, 1914 in Coolspring, Pa., to the late Clark and Kate (Martin) Wilson.
She was a member of Uppermiddletown United Methodist Church and the Monday Night All-Stars and Thursday Night Ladies Bowling Leagues.
She was the widow of Charles E. Harford.
Surviving are a son, Louis of New Bloomfield; a daughter, Karen Citro of Perryopolis; two brothers, Glenn Wilson of Girards Fort and Kenneth Wilson of Uniontown; three sisters, Dorthea “Dot” Yurik of Uppermiddletown, Bernice Shrum of Keisterville and Shirley Myatt of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Citro; a granddaughter, Susan Kennedy; three sisters, Hazel Marie Wilson, Virginia Kathryn Shaffer and Edna Jane Woodward; and two brothers, James Robert Wilson and Albert Wilson.
Services were held Dec. 27 in Dearth Funeral Home, New Salem, with the Rev. Roger P. Ho-ward officiating. Burial was in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield handled local arrangements.
CLARA SMITH DUM
She was born Sept. 9, 1934 in Middlesex Twp., Cumberland County, to the late Wilbur H. and Mildred (Leiby) Wolfe.
She was a former employee of PPG, Mt. Holly Springs, and a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Aspers.
She was the widow of Bruce W. Smith, who died in 1981, and Josiah F. Dum Jr., who died in 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra A. Copenhaver of Biglerville and Jane L. Smith of Gardners; six sisters, Shirley Tanger of Boiling Springs and Arvilla Toner, Ruth Riley, Janet Peters, Wanda Eppleman and Sandy Smith, all of Gardners; four brothers, Wesley Wolf, Wilmer Wolf Jr., Robert Wolf, all of Gardners, and Russell Wolf of Carlisle; a stepdaughter, Jacie G. Miller of Elliottsburg; three stepsons, Gerald A. Dum of Biglerville, John Lanny Duke of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Kenneth L. Dum of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce W. Smith Jr.; a sister, Mary Bolen; and a brother, Richard Wolf.
Services were held Dec. 30 in Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville, with the Rev. Robert A. McEllroy III officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
